Why does Pastor Rick Warren continue to associate himself and his church with men and women who oppose God, reject the Bible as absolute truth and faith in Jesus Christ as the ONLY way to be saved? For years now, I have been asking these questions about this high profile pastor who insists at every opportunity to associate himself with men and women who are not Christians, and actually brings them into his pulpit to speak to his church. One of his efforts is called the “Daniel Plan.” It is designed to help people lose weight and get in good physical shape.
This is a noble effort on the surface, until you find out that the medical experts he is bringing to his church are Dr. Mehmet Oz, Daniel Amen and Dr. Mark Hyman. Oz, host of the Emmy-winning Dr. Oz Show and professor of surgery at Columbia University, says he is inspired by Emanuel Swedenborg, an 18th century cult founder who taught that all religions lead to God and denied orthodox Christian beliefs such at the atonement of Christ for sin, the Trinity and the deity of the Holy Spirit.
Best-selling author Daniel Amen, a professor of psychiatry at the University of California at Irvine, teaches Eastern religious meditation and the New Age energy-based practice of Reiki. Mark Hyman, a four-time New York Times best-selling author, promotes mystical meditation based on Buddhist principles.
WHY WOULD A CHRISTIAN PASTOR OF A CHRISTIAN CHURCH BRING TOOLS OF SATAN LIKE THESE THREE MEN INTO HIS PULPIT AND CHURCH?
The real hypocrisy is Warren using non-Christian men like these under the banner of a “Daniel Plan.” If you study the life of Daniel, the one thing that you realize is that Daniel was a man who refused to compromise the truth of God. He put his very life on the line, as did the three Hebrew children—Shadrack, Meshack and Abendigo—in order to follow God. THEY REFUSED TO COMPROMISE…EVEN IF IT MEANT THEIR DEATH.
My first reaction when I heard of this was why didn’t Pastor Warren get three qualified CHRISTIAN doctors? Or is this simply another publicity stunt to pack his church, at the expense of the truth of the Bible and the gospel?
Rick Warren has proven that he has no problem getting involved with people who follow the false religions, cults, and New Age beliefs in order to advance his global social agenda. While always playing humble and downplaying money, make no mistake about it, Warren’s global PEACE plan was about money and lots of it. He bragged about helping to secure a $300 million deal.
Warren is about being next to people of great wealth and power regardless of their personal faith beliefs. It is about achieving power, worldwide power. The spiritual freefall this nation is in is due to Christian “leaders” like Warren who are more interested in their plan than God’s plan, in their words rather than God’s Word, and in amassing warm bodies rather than saving souls.
Warren has often allowed into his church those who deny the truth of the Scriptures, faith in Jesus Christ, giving credibility and a platform to people whose beliefs are totally inconsistent with biblical Christianity. He has desecrated the altar of his church so often by allowing godless people to spew their perverted views of life from his platform, that slaughtering pigs on that altar every Sunday wouldn’t be any worse.
Many years ago, Pastor Rick Warren addressed a Muslim group, which has terrorist connections during its annual convention over the Fourth of July weekend in Washington, DC. Warren agreed to appear at the convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and be part of its main session, discussing the convention’s theme: “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” ISNA was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case in 2007.
At one event, Warren told a group of Muslims, “You don’t have to see eye to eye to walk hand in hand.” Listen, Rick Warren is a PASTOR. He is supposed to be a messenger of the GOSPEL. He is NOT a politician! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not something you water down or compromise. It is not about being politically correct because the eternal souls of men are at stake.
There is no “walking hand in hand” with Muslims. They are on the wide road to destruction while born-again believers are on that narrow road to glory. Muslims need to understand that they have bought a 1400-year-old lie from hell, and when they die, their souls will burn in the flames of hell for all eternity unless they turn from the lies of Islam, and embrace faith in Jesus Christ and the truth of the Bible.
Sadly, Warren rarely deals with these issues because he feels they are too divisive. The fact is, Warren has chosen issues that unite him with every false religion and group that has denied the Bible and faith in Christ in order to pursue his global ambitions, while he fails to even speak out against or deal with the real issues robbing the soul of our nation that are happening in his backyard.
What is the message for you today? Simply this: DON’T COMPROMISE THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE OR THE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL. There are no truer words or a greater message. Men can come up with clever ways to “do church” but unless it is based on the truth of the Scriptures and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, it is a meaningless exercise no matter how successful it may seem from a worldly perspective.
The reason this nation is spiritually bankrupt is because the truth of the Bible has been compromised and the gospel watered down. High profile Christian leaders have become that because they are wise businessmen, smart marketers, and clever at manipulating the masses; NOT because they had a passion for saving souls and leading this nation back to God and biblical values. But fear not, there are many faithful pastors, many men and women who love the Lord who will not compromise the truth and are part of this last days remnant.
My word for you today is to never worry about what other men may say, only worry about what God will say. He loves you. He cares about you. We show our love for Him by taking our stand each day in this lost world for Him. Your only association with the ungodly is to try to save their souls. The truth of the Scriptures is never going to appeal to a world that rejects the Bible, but it is the ONLY hope and answer for this world and each lost soul.
