American missionary pastor abducted at gunpoint during church meeting in South Africa. It’s alleged that during a sermon, four armed, masked male suspects entered the church, robbed two cell phones, took Pastor Josh Sullivan with them and fled the scene. In recent years, there’s been a dramatic surge of kidnappings in South Africa, over 17,000 in the 2023 fiscal year. The increase is attributed to a rise in extortion.

Tornadoes rip through Omaha, Nebraska and Essex, Iowa from severe weather system. At least 15 tornadoes touched down on April 17, damaging homes, toppling power lines, and causing significant disruption to local communities.
