This “church” is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and has been a Reconciling in Christ (LGBTQIA+ inclusive) congregation since 1985. ‘Minister’ Anna Helgen began this creed with, “I believe in the non-binary God whose pronouns are plural. I believe in Jesus Christ, their child who wore a fabulous tunic and had two dads… She then prayed for a successful Pride event. Another “pastor,” Jeff Sartain, offered another prayer about how Jesus Christ lives “among us,” in the “lives of black trans women” and “babies born into the joyful care of lesbian women.” Sartain, donning a rainbow-colored stole, said Christ “wanders school halls as trans children and navigate the streets as queer couples walking hand in hand.”
