Whole Lot of Shaking Going on in the Middle East. God is causing every biblical end-time player to move into place. A spiritual earthquake is rumbling in the earth. The shaking is being felt by every believer with ears to hear and eyes to see and who looks for the blessed hope of Jesus’ return. All signs appear to point to our day for the beginning of God’s move to protect His people and His land Israel, and to bring them into saving faith in their Messiah, Jesus.

Several prophets spoke of that day. For example, Zechariah wrote, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it” (Zechariah 12:2-3; emphasis added).

Knowing the Imminency of The Rapture Is Critical for Believers. Imminency tells us the Rapture might happen at any moment. However, as moments become years, we struggle to maintain our eager anticipation of Jesus’ appearing. Many wonder how close we’ll get to the start of the Tribulation before He comes for us. We see so many biblical signs of the end times, yet we wait. It’s not easy, not at all.

If The Bible Had No Prophecy… There Would Be No End in Sight. Suppose God had decided not to tell us about the Second Coming, ultimate victory over evil, and our future home in heaven and eternity. We’d have no idea what the future holds. All we’d know is the world is descending deeper into darkness, evil, and hopelessness. But because God provided us with glimpses of the glorious future that awaits us, we can live with hope.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:11-13).
