Fox News Under Attack

There are about 100 million people in America that visit some form of news outlet each day. The left controls about 90% of all the news produced by these sources. You would think the liberal media would be very satisfied having such massive control over the news.

The News program called Fox News is an endless source of interest by the other news outlets. The left acts like Fox has 90% of the followers and they are the ones with only a 10% voice.

Fox News only has a 4% chunk of the news market; liberals focus on it because the second conservative news organization is unknown. The other 6% is made of thousands of sites that don’t have any major influence.

When Rupert Murdoch founded Fox News in 1996 with Roger Ailes, he had an instant cash cow. All the other major news organizations had a leftist bias. By hiring major personalities from conservative talk radio, Fox quickly drained CNN of a large part of its audience. CNN allowed its conservative audience to be pilfered because it refused to create right-wing content to keep them.

Fox News is a small portion of the larger Fox Corporation but makes nearly half the company’s earnings. It’s amazing that some other billionaire has not seen the possibility of starting another conservative news network that would put Fox News to shame.

There may have been several rich people who entertained the idea, but I’m sure Satan whispered in their ears, saying it would be too big of a risk. There must be 1,000 casinos out in Las Vegas, but someone is always thinking that the city could use one more.

The left’s absolute fixation with Fox News defies many forms of logic. I have not watched CNN and MSNBC in years. I don’t even know where they are on my channel list. Because anything said on Fox can be used to attack the network, there have to be people at major networks whose job is to watch Fox News all day.

I don’t care about why Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox News. My attention is focused on the impact it has on the news business. Carlson is important because he reveals a situation that no other reporter would cover. His family has long been in the news world, and Carlson saw himself as purest when it comes to reporting the news.

There is now a guideline that everyone at Fox News needs to follow. You don’t talk about hot-button issues that can cause financial trouble for the network. One of the reasons why Fox settled with Dominion Voting Systems for $787 million is because, in a trial, Dominion’s legal team would play videos of Carlson questioning the voter fraud claims.

The legal system has become weaponized by the left, and Fox could face more lawsuits. The network is so demonized, Democratic judges will set aside their pledge for fairness and let the flimsiest case against Fox go to trial.

One major problem I have with several of the Fox News reporters is that they just narrate the left’s destruction of America. Carlson would find a problem and apply pressure to stop it. If some company wanted all its employees to celebrate a transgender day, Carlson could generate 1,000 angry emails or letters from his 3 million viewers.

The vast majority don’t do anything to combat evil. If just 0.1% of the population became more involved, we could turn the tide on many social issues. If you allow the enemy to win battles, the landscape can quickly change. About 20 years ago, not a single company would say we support gay pride events. Today, only a handful of firms will refuse to fly the rainbow flag.

When I was a teenager, I wondered what people in the USSR thought of the news they were getting from the government. I’m sure it was mostly sunshine propaganda lies that focused on good news. There was no hiding the fact that the USSR was falling apart. Never mind that we had a bumper onion crop. Why are we having to import wheat from America?

We headed toward the point where the American news media will be equal to the USSR. We will be worse off because, unlike many citizens of the USSR, we will know we are being fed lies.

During the tribulation, there won’t be any news organization that is not controlled by the government. The current sad state of news tells me that we are not far from information tyranny. The reporters can come and go at a News channel. In the end, God runs the show. For several years now, He has used one single news network to keep the enemies of truth off balance.

“I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (Isaiah 45:7).

Heavenly Hatred?

Those who see God as a grandfatherly teddy bear who sits in Heaven and smiles tolerantly down upon imperfect human beings often argue that God is love and would never send people to an eternity of torment. Most in this category would agree with Pope Francis that even atheists will eventually go to Heaven.

When considering today’s world, while wickedness is on the rise and is the order of the hour, the fallen mind, it can be reasoned, might be justified in reaching such a conclusion. Wickedness pervades societies and cultures around the planet. Those who perpetrate heinous activity seem to get away with their iniquitous behavior. God in Heaven seems to the “God is love only” crowd to be forgiving of all evil—even if repentance isn’t forthcoming.

“A loving God couldn’t send even the Adolf Hitlers and Mao Zedongs to a place of punishment such as the Bible describes” is the mantra. Although such beastly humans are subject to earthly retribution, the retribution is only temporary. The person’s spirit is ultimately absolved of all sins. This is the religiosity behind many in the matter of good vs evil.

“God is only love; that such a deity could harbor no hate” is at the heart of this earth-centered theology.

Of course, those who hang onto this view want no heavenly governance for the most part. They want to be free to do what is right in their own eyes. They don’t want to answer to a deity for their own sins. They will make it to Heaven because a loving God could never send them, or anyone, to the Hell described in the Bible.

And they must, at the same time, view the Bible as a book that is flawed at the very least—not the Word of God (at least, not of their version of God).

Because they declare that God can’t hate—that He is only love—they must deny that the words of the Bible aren’t the Truth—the very words of the Living God.

You might disagree with my analysis of the type of things God hates, but I thought these are matters we’re all familiar with. Here is why they must deny the Bible to be God’s Word. This is how the writer of Proverbs puts it:

“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him.

  • A proud look,
  • A lying tongue,
  • Hands that shed innocent blood,
  • An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
  • Feet that be swift in running to mischief,
  • A false witness that speaketh lies,
  • And he that soweth discord among brethren” (Proverbs 6:16–19)

If there is a God who punishes sin with eternal fire in Hell, there is a world full of people at this moment who will not make Heaven without repentance. Let’s look at some of the sins we should be thoroughly familiar with, since we’re inundated with such wickedness at an exponentially increasing rate.

“A proud look”

We remember the actress who held up a performance award she had just won and told Jesus to do something in the most vulgar of terms. Hollywood types and politicians of the anti-God, ideological left often display such prideful blasphemy.

“A lying tongue”

A president—despite absolute, even scientific, DNA evidence—lied that he had never had sex with a young woman, and had only his hand slapped for the lie to a forum before which lying supposedly brings severe punishment.

Additionally, another president continues to have ongoing lies perpetrated against him from opposition politicos, entertainers, and even mainstream news organizations. The Russian collusion hoax continues to haunt our eyes and ears, with other lies just as egregious making their way to the forefront of the crooked election processes of our day.

“Hands that shed innocent blood”

Can there be any among us who are truly innocent other than babies in the wombs of their mothers? Yet their blood continues to be shed by the millions every year in America and around the world. Laws are made just to secure the right to commit this most wicked practice and those who practice abortion as “the right to choose.”

“An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations”

In considering this thing that God hates, we think on the desires of those who want to do wickedness to the youngest of children through exposing them to evil, transvestite, and other sexual perversions. One political party is now controlled by those who want to teach these perversions in classrooms and even to change the genders medically of children while declaring parents who oppose such activity as anarchists. The FBI has joined in the pursuit of such parents who seek to protect their children.

“Feet that be swift in running to mischief”

Black Lives Matter (BLM) comes immediately to mind. Its followers have done billions of dollars in damage to private and public properties—have even burned churches, such as setting on fire the church known as the church of the presidents in Washington, DC.

These and other rioter organizations, like Antifa, have burned entire portions of inner cities and blocked off certain areas as “off limits” to police.

These, funded by the evilest of globalist minions, run swiftly to any mischief that arises.

“A false witness that speaketh lies”

We recall a Supreme Court nominee who, in the recent past, was subjected to a woman who, it was proven, falsely accused the nominee of sexually assaulting her and other young women many years previous.

Justice Clarence Thomas also went through such false accusations at his hearings, with the current president of the United States, when he was a US senator, leading the false accusations in what has become known as a high-tech lynching.

“And he that soweth discord among brethren.”

For me, this is manifest in those who claim to be of a political party but run to left-leaning forums, particularly mainstream “progressive” panels such as The View and TV programs at networks, and tell the anti-America, anti-God hosts what they want to hear. This is all to get air time while throwing their fellow party members under the proverbial bus because of hatreds they hold.

Some would say this is only politics and doesn’t fit God’s condemnation in this sense, but, as I say, to me personally, this is one example of this type of wickedness God hates. I certainly hate it, at any rate.

God is a God of love, absolutely. But He is also a God who is perfectly righteous. He is patient concerning His judgment, but His patience is not without limits. He hates sin in any form and will ultimately destroy it.

With all the wickedness, the evil we see all around us, we must ask: Is the Lord of Heaven about to bring all of this anti-God activity to an end?

“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him” (Jude 1:14–15).

Before that great judgment, Jesus said the following will happen:

“And when you see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).

.Diversity Is Not Always a Good Thing

A couple of years ago, I was watching a video that had a PBS reporter interviewing Thomas Sowell. The reporter brought up the subject of diversity, saying it was a good thing for society. Sowell contradicts him by saying diversity is not a virtue. He said America is not great because of its diversity. It is great despite our diversity.

The left thinks that they can create a utopian society by including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders and sexual orientations. What generally happens when there is an increase in diversity is there is an increase in conflict.

The nation of India has an abundance of diversity that has led to fighting that caused the deaths of millions of people. Northern Ireland has religious diversity that caused decades of strife between Catholics and Protestants.

Japan is a nation that has a relatively low level of diversity. It is very rare to ever hear of social conflict in that nation. The only example I can recall is that time when a cult tried to poison people, and that was nearly three decades ago.

The liberal media are so supportive of diversity, they operate like we don’t have enough of it. I was reading an article about a couple of new cast members for the skit comedy show Saturday Night Live. The article focused on how diverse it was to have the first Gay Asian and a woman who claims to not be of any sex. Nowhere in the article was there an answer to the question, “Are they Funny?”

There is some unwritten rule that requires TV ads to have people of color in any setting that has more than a few people. Even though homosexuals are only 4% of the population, advertisers feel the need to introduce same-sex couples to their commercials.

A CNBC reporter recently chided Warren Buffett for not having enough diversity in Berkshire Hathaway’s boardroom. Buffett explained to the reporter that they only hire people who are qualified for the job. Other companies make Buffett look bad by hiring non-whites to fill a quota. Many of the people selected because of their skin color have no active role in the company. Their only job is to pose at the company’s annual group picture.

Al Sharpton and Don Lemon are two of the dumbest people to ever walk the earth. Both of these men were given their own show on news networks because they were black. If I were an African-American, I would be deeply insulted by whoever selected them.

When President Biden said that he was going to choose a black woman to be the next Supreme Court justice, he did damage to the concept that the best-qualified person should always get the job. I listened to some of Ketanji Jackson’s testimony in the Senate and was not impressed by her statements. Biden may have pulled Jackson’s name out of a hat because that is how he generally handed out other jobs. Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was hired because she is Black, Haitian, and a homosexual. She is so bad at her job, it’s obvious that little attention was given to her secretarial skills.

Several Colleges have tried to bring diversity to the classroom by deciding they are going to select a set percentage of blacks. Because there are too many Asians in the student body, they decided to make it harder for them to get in. The vision here is that Blacks from the hood will escape poverty by going to college. The vast majority of the blacks that got selected were from rich families.

The left’s rules on diversity break down when it comes to Christians. Because we are not part of a chosen minority group, we are to be excluded from society. During the Christmas season in the 1950s, three giant buildings had a cross on their upper floors. Today, most corporations shy away from any direct reference to Christianity. A firm may give a vague nod to the Christmas season by posting a wreath on its homepage. For the last two years, Google has said Happy Birthday to Jesus by adding color bulbs to their Logo.

It is obvious that diversity has become a useful tool of the devil. It allows him to bring the worst of society to the top, and it holds down those who would make America a better place. In heaven, there is no diversity. We will all be one with our Lord and Savior.

“Abide in Me, and I in you…. I am the vine; you are the branches” (John 15:4-5).

“That all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You” (John 17:21).

Prominent Prophetic Perspective

Jesus, while sitting atop the Mount of Olives, speaking to His disciples, gave a profound prophecy relative to our present day. As they looked down upon Jerusalem and at the Temple on Moriah, the Lord said the following:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation…” (Matthew 24:6-7).

Of all the prophecies that seem to be in view now, none is more relevant than the turmoil Jesus spoke of that we’re watching in this crucial hour of last-time human history.

The process of stage-setting in this regard is part of the dynamics reconfiguring the world for humanity’s most horrific military conflict–Armageddon.

The portion of the prophecy we need to look at is the prophecy Jesus gave that “nation will rise against nation” in an unprecedented way just before He returns to set up His Millennial Kingdom on the earth.

When giving only a cursory glance at these words, we think that, yes, that’s certainly true. Many a nation has risen against another nation just during the past several decades. There have been many wars, and other wars are looming. But is this the kind of “nation against nation” reference Jesus specifically gave in this discourse?

To answer this, we must look at the Greek language–the language from which the New Testament was translated into English. Jesus was, in actuality, saying these uprisings would be unusual in that they would be based in ethnos—Greek, here, for “nation.” They would be “ethnic” in origin. They would pit ethnic—or racial—group against racial group.

It is equally true that ethnic factors have been the cause of many wars throughout the centuries. The Arabs and Jews–as a matter of fact, many ethnic peoples against the Jews—marked the conflicts of Old Testament times. Almost without exception, those early wars were “ethnic” in origin.

Things haven’t changed. Arabs and Jews still have the ethnos factor at the heart of their differences. And, never in history has the conflict been more virulent–in rhetoric, if not in fact. The Islamic nations–mostly Arab—are blood-vowed to push the Jews into the Mediterranean Sea and wipe the Jewish race from the planet. Some Arab leaders of the past and other leaders–e.g., the Iranian—continue to want all Jews expunged from the region and even off the planet. They have made it their national policy through their oratorical invectives. There have been conflicts in the century just passed involving peoples of the Caucuses, the Balkans, etc., and horrific slaughters in Africa and other places–all based upon ethnic differences.

Now, this hemisphere is experiencing the ever-increasing lethal effects of ethnic struggle. The latest is more and more pitting those of multiple races against, particularly, Caucasian types, while the protests over immigration laws escalate. These uprisings aren’t spontaneous but are fomented, obviously, by those who have ulterior motives–other than to see that illegal immigrants get a chance to start new lives in the most materially blessed nation in human history.

We’ve looked consistently at the globalist elites who are showing a total disregard for national boundaries and sovereign well-being by wanting to just ignore the laws on these important immigration matters and extend unlimited amnesty to those who have entered America illegally.

The point is, Jesus said a great, swelling uprising involving ethnic strife would grow to be a major crisis during the Tribulation era–the last seven years just before He returns to put an end to all of the conflicts at Armageddon (Revelation 19:11).

This tremendous ethnic disturbance we are witnessing each day in our headlines is something we must absolutely watch closely. The powerful turbulence–the “seas and waves roaring”—constitutes yet another indicator of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. We can say with a degree of certainty—based upon study of God’s Word and belief in the pre-Trib Rapture of Christ’s Church—that because of the burgeoning ethnic unrest, in conjunction with all of the other indicators we see interjecting themselves with growing intensity and frequency, Jesus’ shout, “Come up here!” can’t be far distant.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
