Head-butting

Can you ever remember such momentous moments in the Arab-Israeli conflict? We have a full-blown war between Hamas and Israel. But geopolitics is also in play. Diplomatic initiatives, war plans, negotiations, the entrance of the U.S. deeply involved.

There are also concerning moments. What if the most pro-Israel administration in history is not quite that in reality?

For all the good things President Trump has done—and there are many such things—there are an equal number of…missteps? For every embassy relocation to Jerusalem, there is a threat that Israel not cross certain boundaries. Trump has inserted himself into IDF war plans. Telling Israel to back off bombing terror nests in the Gaza Strips. And a warning not to annex Judea-Samaria.

Now, let’s acknowledge that Trump does not come at all this from a biblical perspective. At all.

That’s why his diplomatic plans differ little—really—from those of Bill Clinton 30 years ago.

So what of this issue of annexing the “West Bank”? It would be a stunner, of course. And given that Israel is roundly hated the world over, such an action would send even the unhinged jackals better known as the international community right over the edge.

Check out this Times of Israel headline from this week:

US denies Hamas violating hostage-ceasefire deal, says Gaza demilitarization ‘very complex’

Well. Do you notice that the Administration is contradicting Israel? Of course Hamas is violating the agreement. They’ve even said publicly they have no intention of disarming!

But the Americans say no, no violations.

If that situation is that way, can you imagine the insane blowback annexation would invite?

Politico reported last month:

“President Donald Trump promised Arab and Muslim leaders during a meeting Tuesday that he would not allow Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex the West Bank, according to six people familiar with the discussion.

“Two of those people said that Trump was firm on the topic and that the president promised that Israel would not be allowed to absorb the West Bank, which is governed by the Palestinian Authority, not Hamas.”

Again, Trump does a lot for Israel, but he demands that the Jewish State bend to his will. This is disturbing. Trump’s deepening network of business deals and political alliances demands that each nation he negotiates with conform to his vision for the world. While his attempts at peace are admirable, I do not believe he understands the Middle East, and he definitely does not understand Islam.

For Netanyahu’s part, he is trying to get Israel independent of U.S. aid. There are forces against him—like the Deep State in America—that want to torpedo that. What we do know of course is that Trump has three more years in office. If his successor is J.D. Vance, the relationship with Israel will change to some degree.

The U.S. and Israel are butting heads somewhat, at least publicly. I expect that will go back to animosity to some degree that we saw in the Obama-Biden years.

Keep praying.

Rage

The explosion of Jew-hatred on social media right now is staggering. Literally every day I see another conservative individual/outlet turn against Israel. In the past couple weeks, X has been a platform for the worst humans on the planet. It’s an orgy of Jew-hatred, and hatred for supporters of Zion. Many of them are Reformed guys that believe the Church is Israel. Their comments are full of rage. They hate Jews and they hate Christians that support Jews and Israel.

One degenerate posted a photo of thousands of Gazan Arabs filing back into the Strip. The poster labeled it a holocaust.

That is satanic.

You understand of course we are seeing demonic activity erupt everywhere.

Another several posters used a National Geographic map of Palestine in 1947. As if this is proof that Palestine today exists. Are they really this stupid? Do they not know that late in ’47 the UN voted to partition Palestine—a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Arabs of course famously said no. The Jews took the deal. Israel was established six months later and Palestine ceased to exist as a regional name.

Then came decades of battlefields that eventually saw burning hulks of Arab tanks and vehicles. They could not defeat the hated Jew. So the political propaganda began.

Either the “Palestine” map posters are truly stupid, or they are relying on the fact that the average person is clueless about any of this history. When a pretty college girl then wears a keffiyeh and screams “From the river to the sea, ‘Palestine’ shall be free,” well, huh huh huh, like an idiot the guy is bewitched by this anti-Zion propaganda.

We now have Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Matt Gaetz, Marjorie Taylor-Greene and many others viciously denouncing Israel. I think now that many of these people were hiding in plain sight.

A now-famous letter from Charlie Kirk to Benjamin Netanyahu, earlier this year, goes like this:

“’I’m accused of being a paid apologist for Israel when I defend her; however, if I don’t defend Israel strongly enough, I’m accused of being anti-semitic,’ Kirk wrote in his letter. ‘I know you’ve got a 7 front war and my kvetching pales in comparison. But I’m trying to convey to you that Israel is losing support even in conservative circles. This should be a 5 alarm fire.’”

Kirk shared more of his insights.

“’In my opinion, you are losing the information war which will eventually translate into less political and military support from America,’ he concluded. ‘The Holy Land is so important to my life, and it pains me to see support for Israel slip away.’”

Two reasons why this approach is flawed (although nobody asked me):

  • The Bible predicts this.
  • Facts don’t work for Israel; now I think narratives won’t either.

The fact is, biblically, this day was always coming. I will be honest: as a young man, growing up in the shadow of The Late Great Planet Earth, I did not expect to live in an age like this. It was like, we were going to somewhat cruise along, seeing some broad outlines of future prophecies being fulfilled, but we’d then be out of here, antichrist would emerge on the world stage, and then things would get really bad.

Losing “friends” to Jew-hatred, I mean, decades-long friends, was not on my bingo card.

Things are just weird. Really, really weird.

A hundred years ago, when Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov—better known as Vladimir Lenin—was leading the Bolsheviks in strangling the life out of Russia, he developed a group of propagandists that specialized in lying so extreme, it could only have satanic origins. The lies the Soviets prepared for worldwide dissemination were so sophisticated, we probably won’t ever know all the layers. But it makes sense. As I’ve written before, Paul Kengor’s incredible book, Dupes, lays out all this. How the Methodists were involved in the creation of the ACLU. How “anti-anti-communists” in well-placed positions in our society convinced millions that totalitarians were not, in fact, trying to destroy our country. On and on.

The Soviets targeted the West when most of us were isolationists. In my view, their plan succeeded. We are now watching an existential fight for freedom.

The Rage Factor is perhaps the final element in their master plan. We aren’t going to convince the crazies in our society to change their thinking. They are gone.

We can though continue-on with our role: Pray, trust in the Lord of History, and thank Him that we are privileged to see all this.

It’s the only sane position you can take in this mad world.
