Misunderstanding the Middle East

 What is Trump doing?

The question must be asked.

After enduring perhaps the most vicious, mendacious, craven American “president” in history (and the company is crowded with the likes of Obama, LBJ, etc.), our country and our allies like Israel are thrilled that Donald Trump overcame all odds and won the presidency again. Thank God, literally.

And it is also worth noting that we have to give a new president some time before we do a postmortem on his efforts.

Yet the President’s Middle East policy is a little confusing right now. I actually think he doesn’t thoroughly understand the region, and some of his advisors are, unfortunately, a warmed-over version of the dolts that served Clinton, the Bush family, and Obama. Really, all the way back to Truman and Roosevelt.

For decades, we’ve had foreign policy “experts” that are expert from Cambridge or Harvard. Policy wonks and theoretical political science junkies. Jack Kennedy is probably the only modern president that visited Israel long before he became president. So did his brother, Bobby. JFK visited Palestine in 1939 and wrote long letters back home with his impressions. He was generally very supportive of the Jewish state once he entered the Oval Office.

Trump is no doubt sincere in his warm views of Israel and Jews. He is genuine.

And his bold policy proposals (such as the very correct concept of moving the Arabs out of the Gaza Strip) are stunning in their brilliance. It has been obvious to everyone for decades that Oslo was a devilish proposal that only led to the murder of more Jews. The new American policy is as different from the evil Biden Regime as it could get. The U.S. is virtually giving Israel a greenlight to do whatever they want, including attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities. That should have happened long ago but it isn’t too late.

But by my count, Trump has now threatened Hamas with destruction four times. Each ultimatum that passes sends a signal to the primitive-thinking terrorists.

Much of the problem is that he is not on the same page regarding the hostages. In this I have to side with Trump. Jewish value of human life is extraordinarily high. But it is handicapping Israel’s ability to totally destroy Hamas, which is necessary.

Benjamin Netanyahu is the consummate politician. I believe he’s a Zionist, but he’s also a pragmatic one. His chief accomplishment in the last 30 years is pushing-off a Palestinian state. He is himself held hostage right now though by leftist forces in his own country, along with the families of the hostages. The West for a long time has fought wars not to win them, but to contain the enemy. It doesn’t work. It is kicking the can down the road.

Trump seems to be fairly open about giving Israel every greenlight imaginable. Yet Israel is hesitating to go finish-off Hamas. If there are 59 hostages left, with perhaps half of them alive, Hamas is allowed to control the narrative. It is incredible to me that Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, is sitting down with Hamas in Qatar. This is unconscionable.

It doesn’t help that political commentators like Tucker Carlson are apologists for Qatar. There is an anti-Israel element within the Trump orbit (there always is in Washington, regardless of the administration). While the Man is a white knight, there are always others in the Deep State that hate Jews and hate Israel for existing.

Every week now, we are hearing that Hamas doesn’t have long to live. We can pray for an Entebbe-style hostage rescue, but the first priority must be totally eradicating the enemy. Trump’s promise to bring hell on them must be implemented.

Problems in the ME are mushrooming. Syria is now taken over by jihadists. Jordan and Egypt are pushing-back against Trump’s plan to relocate Arabs out of Gaza. Notice just a few bullet points from the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center:

• Iran condemned the continued Israeli attacks in Syria and called for international intervention to stop Israel’s activity. Israel’s threats to retaliate in the event of an attack by the Syrian regime on the Druze aroused interest from the Iranian media, which accused Israel of trying to divide the Syrian state for its own interests.
• The Houthis threatened that if fighting between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip resumed, they would resume attacking Israel and also threatened to strike American bases in the Middle East. The US administration officially added the Houthis to the list of terrorist organizations.
• The pro-Iranian militias in Iraq refused the Baghdad government’s proposals to disarm and merge with the security forces.

Wow! That’s just right now. Trump has his work cut out for him. A huge help going forward would be to follow-through on threats.

Using Children as Propaganda

It’s amazing how people can have two very different perspectives, based on the same scenario.

This week, the grifter Zelensky acted like a punk in the White House and President Trump threw him out. Maybe it was a new way of doing diplomacy, but after a guy that bilks a country for $350 billion intensifies his ungrateful attitude, I think Trump did the right thing.

I’m surprised though by the number of people that think the Ukrainian president is a humble freedom-fighter. All of Europe is corrupt. Zelensky is, as is Putin. The bottom line is, I wish we didn’t have to be involved at all—the past 100 years is proof of that—but we are, and it is vital that nations respect the U.S. Especially after four years of the Biden Regime.

There are other examples of differences of opinion.

The kids of the Gaza Strip have been and are being abused.

But who is abusing them?

The Arabs of, first, Palestine, and now Israel have been murdering Jews for centuries. It’s the age-old Jew-hatred spiritual sickness that infected our world at the beginning.

Pogroms targeting Jews erupted in 1929 and 1937. In 1964, the Palestine Liberation Organization was formed. The PLO ever since has raised Arab children on hate and violence.

It hasn’t helped that Israel has prospered and thrived, while the Palestinians (a political term created after the 1967 Six Day War) have accomplished nothing but more murder and chaos.

Many of us have known since the Clinton years that the PLO was never going to make peace with Israel. October 7, 2023 confirmed that for everyone. Today we see Gaza Arabs parading hostages among thousands of psychopaths jeering. That includes the children.

Clothed in terrorist “costumes” and brandishing toy guns (and real ones), the kids of Gaza are already infected with Jew-hatred. Sadly, even groups that purport to help children are helping perpetuate the violence. Case-in-point is “Save the Children,” a disingenuous name if there ever was one. In a report recently, the relief group spewed the same lies the PLO has been peddling for decades.

“Children are paying the heaviest price of this war.

“Childhood in Gaza has been completely shattered. Palestinian children in Gaza have endured a year of unrelenting siege, marked by relentless Israeli airstrikes that have wiped out any semblance of a normal childhood.

“The occupied Palestinian territory, specifically Gaza, is the deadliest place on earth to be a child.

“Palestinian children have been uprooted time and time again, denied access to the basics they need to survive, had their hopes and dreams shattered, and a year of their education stolen. Those who survive live a life that no child should have to. The Israeli occupation – found illegal by the International Court of Justice, the world’s highest court – and ongoing war have not only devastated their daily lives today but threaten to impact their lives for years to come.

“This pause in hostilities will stop the daily attacks and bring children vital reprieve from the violence they’ve faced for over a year. However, the nightmare isn’t over for children. They are still dying because of hunger and disease and facing the threat of cold and wet weather while living in tents, far away from the warmth and safety of their homes, putting them at risk of fatal illnesses like pneumonia.

“The urgency now is to get shelter, food and medical supplies to hundreds of thousands of children in Gaza who have lost their homes and loved ones, and are struggling daily to survive with Gaza on the brink of famine and humanitarian aid blocked into many areas of Gaza.

A definitive ceasefire is the only way to save lives in Gaza and end grave violations of children’s rights. There is no alternative.”

For the first time in the history of war, the attacked party has provided food, electricity, and medicine to its enemy. Israel has allowed relief aid in from the start. It all benefits Hamas, which steals all the aid. That’s the truth. But you can’t convince some people, ones that want to hate Jews and Israel. Many of them are religious. Including the Pope.

Groups like Save the Children accuse the IDF of shooting Arab babies in the head. Or “settlers” are accused of murdering Arabs. The fact is, apart from isolated incidents, this is part of the propaganda aimed at undermining Israel.

For millions that have never visited the region, these lies are accepted as fact. As I’ve written about many times, American Christian leaders like Donald Miller have alleged that the IDF has committed war crimes. In response to such a charge in his November, 2012 blog post, I asked Miller several times to provide proof of his charges. He never replied.

The propagandists never provide context, either. Here’s another paragraph from Save the Children:

“Amidst extremely challenging conditions, we’ve been working around the clock to find ways to deliver aid to children. Our response has significantly scaled up since October 2023, leveraging our existing footprint, technical expertise, and partnerships to address the evolving humanitarian crisis.”

The response has significantly scaled up since October 2023 because THE ARABS HAVE BEEN MURDERING JEWS. Attacking a sovereign state, raping, murdering, and taking hostages. It’s astonishing people can lie with no consequences. Decades ago, the children of Gaza could have been living in luxury if their own leaders hadn’t decided to use them for cannon fodder against the hated Jews.

“We are prepared to scale up further in Gaza to respond to the spiralling needs. But the basic conditions to reach families need to be established by the Government of Israel by lifting the siege and facilitating the safe, unobstructed delivery of aid across Gaza.”

It is a direct lie that Israel is obstructing aid to the children of Gaza. The fact is, the Arabs of Gaza are shoving their own children into the wood chipper of propaganda. One day, the Creator will hold them to account.

 The group should rename itself: Save the Gentile Children.
