The Rot is Deep

To give you an idea of how pervasive anti-Israel sentiment is within the regime in Washington, consider this: Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (Michigan; the western half of her district is Detroit) is infamous for her anti-American and anti-Israel views. A crude, profane beast, Tlaib is of course surrounded by like-minded sycophants. Now comes word that her staffer Rasha Mubarak also hates Israel.

Recently, six Palestinian terrorists escaped from an Israeli prison. All six were eventually caught. That didn’t stop Mubarak from praising them!

The Islamic Jihad and Al-Aksa Martyr’s Brigade prisoners are responsible for deadly attacks. Yet Mubarak, who is being groomed for leadership in the Democrat Party, has a long sad record of this kind of support. According to a report from Frontpage:

“Mubarak has promoted material from Hamas-supporting media, including the Palestine Info Center and Shehab News, both of which are directly affiliated with Hamas and publicize the group along with shocking anti-Semitic cartoons of evil looking Orthodox Jews. In July 2014, Mubarak copied onto Facebook a post from Falastin News Palestine, a site that glorifies Hamas and PIJ fighters as heroes; outright states, ‘God bless Hamas’; features numerous photos of armed masked terrorists interacting with little children; and showcases photos of dead US and British Jews murdered in a Jerusalem synagogue, grossly referring to the dead as “occupiers.

“In June and July 2020, Mubarak posted memorials onto her Twitter and Facebook pages for car-ramming terrorist Ahmed Erekat, who was shot and killed after attempting to run over a female Israeli border officer, at a checkpoint east of Jerusalem.

“This past March, Mubarak tweeted a video honoring deceased Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) spokesman Ghassan Khanafani as a ‘martyr.’ Khanafani was responsible for the May 1972 Israel Lod Airport massacre, which left 26 innocents dead, including 17 Christian pilgrims from Puerto Rico. On the video, Khanafani is adamant about the fact that his group refuses to engage in any peace talks with Israelis, even if lives would be saved as a result, saying it would amount to ‘capitulation.’”

Chillingly, Mubarak has said that the Palestinians will “channel our pain.” This is an overt threat to Israel and Jews everywhere. Yet America’s ruling class and political community not only don’t condemn evil mouths like Mubarak, they reward such behavior.

Mubarak is a consultant and acts as Finance Minister for Tlaib. Such grotesque behavior from an American politician is disturbing. It should not be acceptable.

Combine all this with the fiendish “Biden Administration” and you can see that Israel has special challenges. And, as an aside, I have to say that I believe Naftali Bennett basically participated in a coup of sorts in his country, unseating Netanyahu with “creative politics” in the Knesset.

And the Tlaib/Mubarak fiasco is not an isolated case. Of the 535 members of Congress, only a minority truly supports Israel. Dems give lip service to the “we always support our great ally, Israel” line while at the same time grooming radical leftists to take over control of the party.

Make no mistake: for DECADES, America has “elected” anti-Israel leftists, whether at the state or federal levels. From Tom Hayden in the California Senate, to majority leaders like Tom Daschle, the lip service in public has masked an evil agenda to place Israel in peril.

As always, we rely on the God of Israel for our strength, rather than profoundly evil politicians.

Of Devils and Democrats

As evil settles over the land, we see that as usual, Israel is in the crosshairs.

This week came word that a congressional spending bill was going to be void of an expected funding allocation for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system. The system, developed in conjunction with the U.S., has saved Israeli lives as Hamas rockets fell from the sky.

None of that matters to the fiendish group of representatives known as “The Squad.” Comprised of Somali jihadist Ilan Omar, seemingly wacky New Yorker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Palestinian Rashida Tlaib, the Squad is as left-wing as it gets. Anti-American in fact.

The women, feeling their oats as media stars in the midst of their modest and new careers, threatened Speaker Nancy Pelosi that they would bring down the overall spending bill, but public outrage and pressure very quickly torpedoed the Squad’s anti-Israel fervor. Funding for Iron Dome was put back into the bill.

But this latest flap signals a very dark time ahead, as older Democrats pass from the scene and are replaced by the likes of Ocasio-Cortez.

(I have a theory that she isn’t as daffy as she makes out. I believe she was installed by people with deep left-wing pockets and her bizarre rants and wild facial expressions and emotion-laced diatribes against Donald Trump supporters really mask a much more savvy operative.)

From a report in the New York Post:

“’We thank God each day for the Iron Dome, which intercepted 90 percent of the incoming rockets, saving countless lives. Unfortunately, some of my colleagues recently used support for this defense system as a political football. They threatened to shut down the federal government, put at risk hurricane disaster relief and help for Afghan refugees all over support for Iron Dome,’ Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) said on the floor ahead of the vote.

“’It was outrageous, but now we have a chance to act. Let’s pass this bill, support Iron Dome in our country and continue our historic bipartisan support for the US-Israel relationship, and the Senate should then immediately take up this standalone measure and not let it get bogged down in the ongoing debt ceiling and continuing resolution debate.’”

Tlaib let go with both barrels:

“’I will not support an effort to enable and support war crimes, human rights abuses, and violence. We cannot talk be talking only about Israelis need for safety at a time when Palestinians are living under a violent apartheid system and are dying from what Human Rights Watch has said, our war crimes,’ she said.

The Marxist continued:

“’We should also be talking about Palestinian need for security from Israeli attacks, we must be consistent in our commitment to human life, period. Everyone deserves to be safe there. The bill claims to be quote a replenishment for weapons apartheid Israel used in a crisis’ that manufactured when it attacked worshippers at one of the most holiest Islamic locations the Al-Aqsa Mosque, committing, again, numerous, numerous war crimes.”

Tlaib lies. Israel is not an apartheid state at all. No Israeli “attacked” anyone at Al-Aqsa. And Israel certainly does not commit war crimes!

Yet she got her talking points in. Like a dutiful soldier, she says what her handlers tell her to say. Her loud, open-mouthed, wild-eyed diatribes are already legendary. She infamously said a few years ago that she intended to impeach “that m***er.” This gross hag has made herself an enemy of the Jewish state.

Tlaib in particular reminds me of Hanan Ashrawi, a shrill Palestinian feminist that carried water for years for her boss Yasser Arafat.

The problem here is not the present. Congress still solidly votes for Israeli interests. In another generation however, or even 10 years from now, the landscape will completely change as left-wing Millennials take power in government and media. And as weak as Republican “leadership” is, we can’t rely at all on previously strong alliances.

This is why it’s more important than ever to pray very hard for Israel.

Every day!
