There was a long-running American television panel show titled To Tell the Truth, which first aired in 1956. Three contestants would field questions from a panel of four celebrities, who would ask the contestants about their occupation or experiences. One contestant would answer truthfully, and the other two contestants would lie through their teeth repeatedly. As a viewer, it was often very hard to tell who was telling the truth, and the panel often made the wrong choice. Just as the panel did, voters can often choose poorly.

Now, we are approaching the home stretch of another United States presidential election. As is the traditional dilemma with electing any public officials at all levels of government, the trick is for the voters to recognize and decide which candidates are telling the truth or lying. That is because the lies from the mouths of politicians are getting harder to discern.

To tell the truth—it is getting harder to determine which candidates are telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. However, one American political party has seemed to master the art of ‘lies and deception.’ If this is not clear to you, then perhaps you have not been paying close attention or simply believe what the mainstream media has to say.

It is not hard to decide who is lying if you are an informed and diligent voter. Forget casting your vote for a U.S. president based strictly on political rhetoric and disparaging comments by a politician, but study the facts and research the candidates’ proven track record of real achievements that have benefited much of the United States citizenry.

The apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to the Corinthians a defense of his apostleship in the face of opposition and attacks from false apostles (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). He was involved in a ‘battle for truth.’ Paul made it clear his battle for the truth was waged in thoughts, arguments, and ideas in the battlefield of the mind (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

Satan’s chief weapons are lies and deception, and he seems to have nearly perfected his craft in America today. Satan’s lies began in the Garden of Eden, and they persist right up to the present day around our world. Satan knows that if he can imbed his lies in the minds of humans, beginning with children in the public school system, then those children will grow up into voters who are easily deceived and gullible to believe Satan’s evil lies.

Donald Trump faces a situation comparable to that of the apostle Paul. In today’s American societal climate, Trump must constantly defend himself against false lies and attacks. It amazes me how today’s career politicians, national mass media news personalities, and network talk show hosts have become such polished and professional liars who can spew lies straight-faced without blushing, blinking an eye, or stammering. True Satan scholars!

The radical left politicians and the left-leaning fake news mass media, along with most professional entertainment people, think they can sway the opinion of common, ordinary Americans simply because they have a talent for singing, acting, or sports and are fortunate enough to have a soap box somewhere in the social or news media outlets to spread the lies and deception of Satan and his minions. I guess those people think most of us American commoners do not have the brain power to decide who to vote for but can easily be herded like sheep in one direction or the other by what they have to say about it.

Trump has a four-year record of success as President of the United States. Harris offers nothing but smiles, giggles, and flip-flopping hot air to run on. She is relying on lies and deception to get elected, favorite tactics of Satan, rather than spelling out any concrete plans on how she will improve the status of a majority of common, patriotic, hardworking Americans struggling to afford food and clothing for their families, fuel for their vehicles, and paying basic monthly bills.

Trump is far from perfect by a long shot, but we should elect our leaders based on their proven ability to make good things happen for our country and the world as a president of the United States rather than empty promises easily withdrawn after the election is over.

In the Biblical book of Ephesians, Paul says it is important for us to put on the full armor of God to stand against the arrows and attacks of Satan. This includes putting on the belt of truth (Ephesians 6:13-14). The Bible has a lot to say about ‘truth’ and how to discern it based on biblical scripture, including what Jesus Christ has to say about rebuffing lies.

Open a Bible and study all it has to say about discerning the truth. What is truth? Jesus said, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6).

Jesus Christ is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!

After much prayer and consideration—be sure to vote this November—and vote wisely.

This article was posted over a year ago. I thought it might be a good time to ask RR to post it again (with minor mods). Every reference to the evil and twisted acts perpetrated against the Precepts of God and His Will has now only accelerated into hyper-velocity.

(There is a special message at the end of this article for those who do not have Jesus in their life and are looking for peace and a way to better understand the present-day insanity and confusion.)

For anyone that has ever done this, the story is the same. We would make a snowball at the top of a hill, making it as large as we could manage, roll it to the edge, and push it over. Then watch it gain in size as it picks up speed.

When it reached the bottom, depending on what “the bottom” was like, it would either collide with something or roll to a stop. If it collided with something significant, it would be destroyed.

If it didn’t collide with anything but instead rolled to a stop, it would be destroyed by time and elements, OR we would destroy it ourselves by jumping on it in a frenzy of fun.

Either way, the end result was the same. Destruction and the end of it.

We have a snowball that is currently rolling downhill. It has attained a frightening speed. It is not a relatively harmless wad of frozen water.

It is evil. Unbridled, uninhibited evil, rolling downhill and gaining momentum every single day.

God warned us about this in His Word in Paul’s letter to Timothy (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

“Without natural affection” explains a great deal in the present day. So also does “Traitors.”

God’s warnings have largely been ignored. So, here we are, now in 2024.

Over the centuries, this evil snowball has grown under the surface like a cancerous tumor, and no amount of human-initiated treatments is going to be able to stop it or even slow it down now. It has too much momentum.

We have waited too long. It has grown, fostered and nurtured by the evil one, unnoticed or willfully unacknowledged, because we were busy and distracted by everyday life or by the pursuit of worldly happiness or, perhaps, too busy ourselves to take note of it. I include myself in the “we.” I wish it were not so, but it is.

It has now become a malignant monster of not just “ordinary crime,” like stealing or general lawbreaking (here meaning breaking of basic laws of human conduct, which ARE based on the design of the Lord of creation); no, it has become a perversion of science, extortion by climate lies, terrorism by pandemic falsehoods, a proclamation of biological impossibilities, a forcing of vileness and sickening monstrous philosophies on innocent children and insisting on everyone else viewing it as normal or acceptable behavior, and, of people giving in to it out of fear or a desire for “peace and safety.”

A classic case of feeding the alligator, hoping it eats you last. But, eat it will; it is never satisfied.

It includes the murdering of defenseless elderly because they are viewed as “useless eaters.”

And murder (that’s the right term), murder of soon-to-be-born human beings, innocent and alive. They will not be an aardvark, a horse, or a tyrannosaurus: HE or SHE would be a human being created by God in His image. And now these monsters want to murder them after they have been born!

Infanticide! A fluffy term for demonic, maniacal murder! Sacrificing to Molech.

What would soon have been a walking, talking, reasoning, rationalizing, loving and worthy person.

And worse, buying and selling children for the most abominable purposes in order to gain money to spend on…what?… gold and silver to hoard?

“In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats” (Isaiah 2:20). Emphasis added by me.

What does the Lord have to say about this?

“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community” (Proverbs 6:16-19). Emphasis added by me.

What can possibly be the end result of defying and hating God?

Moreover, even if they claim not to believe in Him but in their own “belief system,” what possible outcome can there be to this kind of behavior… being the rulers of the world?

What on earth do the purveyors of this madness think they are going to inherit?

Reeled in like a dying fish by the globalists and their God-hating mindset:

“They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for ‘people are slaves to whatever has mastered them'” (2 Peter 2:19).

“The fool* says in his heart, ‘There is no God'” (Psalms 14:1).

*The Hebrew words rendered fool throughout the Psalms denote one who is morally deficient.

“Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy”(Proverbs 6:15). Emphasis added by me.

There are many who say, “How does a loving God allow these things to happen?”

That is one bird that is not going to fly. We have laws prohibiting these kinds of things and the mechanism to enforce them. WE have allowed them to happen.

Humankind has intentionally ignored these laws or twisted them willfully out of context for so long that the snowball effect is now on an exponential curve that has developed a life (or, more accurately, death) of its own.

The world system is so corrupt that it is eating itself alive unto death.

Fortunately, it is thus far restrained by the Mercy of God, but that is going to change.

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way” (2 Thessalonians 2:7).

Is it hopeless? In human terms, I think that is without doubt. I think it has become obvious that the human government is unable, or worse, unwilling to repent. It is terminal, and it is worldwide.

In the case of America, our Constitutional laws are based on the following, defined by our own founders and based on the precepts, ordinances, and counsel of God.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” (FROM JOHN ADAMS TO THE OFFICERS OF THE FIRST BRIGADE OF THE THIRD DIVISION OF THE MILITIA OF MASSACHUSETTS, 11 October 1798)

I think there is every likelihood that, as a nation, we have left that standard dying in the dusty desert of sin and rebellion against God. As a veteran, I hate to say it, truly I do, but the light shining on a hill has become a smoldering wick.

But there is hope. With our sovereign God and Savior and His beloved Spirit, there is always hope.

Now to the crux of this article.

Our God is still in control, and His promises still stand. He will complete all He has promised both to the nation of Israel and to the Church, but He has promised nothing to this country.

I believe that all this heartache and heartbreak that we see around us is being restrained until the last person on this earth that will repent under God’s Dispensation of Grace does so.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).

As Éowyn said before the charge of the Rohirrim in the movie, The Return of The King: “Courage Merry; Courage, my old friend.” We await the return of the true Author of our Salvation, King Jesus.

We must Trust God, set our faces to do His Will, and help spread the Gospel.

God has proven through fulfilled prophecy that He always keeps his Word.

The special message that I promised you.

For anyone who may read this article and has not trusted in Jesus Christ and therefore has no hope or peace in your life.

You can have that hope. You can have that peace that Jesus has promised in His Word.

It requires that you come before God on His terms.

And, what are His terms according to His Word?

  • Genuine repentance (turning to God instead of continuing to reject or ignore Him).
  • Confession of sins (that you are a sinner and acknowledge that to God).
  • That you understand that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  • To acknowledge to God that you are unable to pay that debt.
  • Belief that Jesus Christ paid your death sentence for you on the cross.
  • To believe that Jesus is the Way, the only Way, that God has established by which humans may be saved from the consequences of their sin and rebellion.

God has made it absolutely clear that there is no one who comes before Him, under His terms, that will be refused.

  • No one: no race, no color, no country of origin, regardless of any previous belief system: no one.
  • No matter what your past sins have been, God can and WILL forgive you because He says He will.
  • Salvation is available to everyone without any exceptions.

If you put all your trust for salvation in Jesus, and Him only, you can follow that prayer up by simply saying, “Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and saving me,” because we can trust Him to keep His Word.

He always has. He always will.

“Truly, Truly, I say to you that he who hears My words and believes the One who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life” (John 5:24).

There are no answers and there is no hope in the world by governments, organizations, politics or politicians. There are only lies and deception. But you can have the Truth and the peace you seek.

The answers are in the Word of God—The Bible. If you ask God, with all your heart, He will hear you.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

Now, more than ever, we must pray without ceasing for those Christian sisters and brothers who have been fence-sitting and for those who can see the growing, looming evil but look to a political figure who, however well-intentioned he may be, cannot stop this snowball from hell. Instead of seeking God, in Jesus Christ, who is ultimately the only Hope, they must awaken to the reality of 2024 and seek His face.
