On Oct. 2, 2024, a reader sent me the following that was written by Christine Darg (author and Co-Founder of jerusalemchannel.tv):

  • Are we not near to the calling up of believers and the beginning of the Great Tribulation?
  • The signs of the times are screaming at us that soon the great shofar of God will sound.

Some of the signs that caused Darg to say this are:

  • Israel is at war.
  • Israel has been attacked by Iran (a Gog and Magog foe).
  • Hurricane Helene has caused mayhem in the USA.
  • The world is trying to deal with biological warfare and plagues.
  • There is worldwide apostasy and persecution of believers.
  • The UN defies God and Israel.
  • The love of many has run cold.

Here are just a few more that I keep writing about:

  • Israel is surrounded by enemies that want to destroy them (Psa. 83:4).
  • Israel has a great military (Ezek. 37:10).
  • The development of technology to track all buying and selling (Rev. 13:16-17).
  • The rise of world government (The New World Order; a borderless world; Rev. 13:8).
  • A departing from the faith (Pope Francis supports the rise of world government and world religion; II Thess. 2:3; Rev. 17-18).
  • The controversy over Jerusalem (Zech. 12:2-3).
  • Efforts to rebuild the Jewish Temple (Matt. 24:15; II Thes. 2:3-4).
  • The Revived Roman Empire has come back into existence (Dan. 9:26).
  • Hyper-inflation and a global economic collapse (Rev. 6:5-6).

Here are recent events that seem to indicate that the end of the age is close:

One, concerning a possible economic collapse and the decline of America: on Oct. 2, 2024, Gary Bauer (author, political activist, served in Reagan White House, and much more) said:

  • In the last 2 years, the Biden/Harris administration raided $1 billion from FEMA’s budget, money meant for disaster relief like hurricanes and catastrophic flooding (such as that caused by Hurricane Helene on the U.S. East Coast) and spent it “to provide humanitarian services” for illegal aliens.
  • If your blood isn’t boiling yet, consider this: The Biden/Harris administration is bragging that it sent $1 billion of your tax money to the Palestinians over the past year.
  • Adding insult to injury, they just sent $336 million this week in the devastating aftermath of Helene.
  • As communities across the southeast struggle to rebuild and restore power, the Biden/Harris administration has raided our reserve of emergency electrical equipment and sent it to Ukraine. They’ve been doing this even as our own country has been struggling with a critical shortage of electrical transformers.

Have you got that: $1 billion on illegal aliens, $1 billion on the Palestinians, $336 million on victims of Helene, and sent a lot of our reserve emergency electrical equipment to Ukraine.

(More: On Oct. 6, 2024, it was reported that many of the Helene victims have not seen anyone from FEMA helping anyone, and they are having to fend for themselves.)

(More: On Oct. 7, 2024, Hurricane Milton became a Category 5 Hurricane, the most powerful hurricane to hit Tampa Bay in over 100 years. Gov. DeSantis ordered mandatory evacuations in the areas to be the hardest hit along the West Coast.)

(My opinion: I am guessing – and hoping – that Congress will budget some money to help the victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton, but all this makes me want to scream: PUT AMERICA FIRST.)

Two, concerning the coming world government and world religion: on Oct. 2, 2024, it was reported that during a recent penitential vigil (a confession of sin with a request for forgiveness), Pope Francis declared that borders are a sin against migrants.

According to the article, “This falls perfectly in line with his long-standing advocacy for mass migration, reflecting the globalist ‘great replacement’ agenda that some believe seeks to erase national borders and traditional European identities.”

God created nations at the Tower of Babel, but Francis views borders as “paths to death” and opposition to open borders as a sin.

He ignored the fact that some illegal immigrants are drug dealers, terrorists, hardened criminals, etc.

He pushes the New World Order (world government) because he wants to establish a world religion that will clearly be satanic and persecute true believers.

(My opinion: It makes me want to scream: PUT LEGAL IMMIGRATION AND LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS FIRST.)

(More: A recent Congressional report says jihadist terrorist attacks are increasing in the U.S., and officials cannot verify that terrorists are not crossing America’s open borders.)

(More: On Oct. 6, 2024, the Anti-Defamation League reported that there have been more than 10,000 anti-Semitic incidents – 8,015 instances of verbal or written harassment, 1,840 cases of vandalism, and 150 physical assaults targeting Jews – in the U.S. since Oct. 7, 2023.)

Three, concerning a possible economic collapse of the U.S. and perhaps the global economy: on Oct. 2, 2024, Moody’s, a highly-regarded credit rating agency, said the U.S. economy is declining, and America’s ability to turn it around is also declining.

According to Moody’s, the next President of the U.S. must address this issue.

The problem is that the Congressional Budget Office, Congress, and the Biden administration have known this for a long time, and they have not acted.

(My opinion: It is enough to make a person scream: WHY DON’T YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE?)

Four, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Sept. 30, 2024, Turkey’s President Erdogan urged the UN General Assembly to call for force against Israel if the UN Security Council cannot convince the Israelis to stop attacking Iranian-backed Hamas and Hezbollah targets in Gaza and Lebanon.

Five, concerning wars and rumors of wars: on Oct. 1, 2024, Iran fired about 180 missiles at Israel.

Israel said Iran will pay a steep price for the attack.

The next day, on Oct. 2, 2024, Iran said it will launch a stronger attack on Israel if Israel retaliates for the Oct. 1, 2024 attack.

(More: When asked if he supports an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Pres. Biden said no. He said Israel has a right to respond to Iran’s missile attack, but Israel’s response should be proportional.)

Israel responded that all targets are still on the table. Israel’s Defense Min. will visit the U.S. tomorrow to discuss the situation.)

(My opinion: The attitude of Western leaders like Biden is prolonging the war and making the world more dangerous.)

Six, concerning the destruction of Damascus in one night, on Oct. 2, 2024, Israeli jets killed the son-in-law of Hassan Nasrallah in Damascus.

Seven, concerning the Days of Lot and the moral rot in America: on Oct. 8, 2024, it was reported that a first-grade teacher in Pennsylvania was telling her students their parents were guessing if they were boys or girls at birth and their parents could be wrong.

Three moms sued, and a judge ruled that the teacher was breaking the law.

Here is my daily update on the Israel-Hamas war:

Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024 (Day 362): The three hundred and seventh day of the resumed war. Day 140 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel said 8 Israeli soldiers have been killed so far in the current operation in Lebanon.
  • More than 100 rockets were launched from Lebanon into Israel.
  • Israeli jets struck Hamas command-and-control centers in the Gaza Strip. Several of the centers were operating in Palestinian schools.
  • Israeli troops discovered a tunnel in a residential neighborhood more than a half mile long with rooms and equipment designed for very long stays.
  • The U.S. State Dept. said Hamas has refused to discuss a ceasefire for several weeks.

Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 (Day 363) The three hundred and eighth day of the resumed war. Day 141 of the attack on Rafah.

  • A terrorist group in Iraq took credit for launching a drone toward Israel.
  • Israel told citizens in 25 Lebanese villages to leave immediately and go north.
  • Israel said it killed Yahya Sinwar’s right-hand man and 2 other senior officials about 3 months ago, but Hamas kept it secret because the truth would hurt the morale of Hamas fighters.
  • Israel killed the Hezbollah terrorist in Lebanon that killed 12 children at a soccer game earlier this year.

Friday, Oct. 4, 2024 (Day 364) The three hundred and ninth day of the resumed war. Day 142 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel destroyed a two-mile-long tunnel between Lebanon and Syria that was being used for smuggling and storing weapons.
  • The U.S. military used aircraft and ships to strike more than a dozen Houthi targets at 5 locations in Yemen.
  • The Iranian-backed Houthis said the U.S. will pay a heavy price for attacking them.
  • Following Israel’s assassination of Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah, the Ayatollah Khamenei appointed Nasrallah’s cousin to succeed him. Israel attacked the site where they think he was tonight, and they killed him.

Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 (Day 365): The three hundred and tenth day of the resumed war. Day 143 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel said they have killed 400 terrorists since launching their ground operation into Lebanon.
  • Israel believes it has destroyed about 50% of Hezbollah’s missiles, but they still have drones and 60-100,000 rockets that they can launch.

Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 (Day 366) The three hundred and eleventh day of the resumed war. Day 144 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel struck several Hezbollah weapons storage facilities and infrastructure targets all over Beirut, Lebanon, and there were many secondary explosions.
  • Israel ordered evacuation from 25 areas in Southern Lebanon.
  • Israel ordered Palestinians in Jabaliya, a city in northern Gaza, to evacuate before Israel strikes terrorist facilities.
  • Israel said Hamas no longer exists as an organized military force in Gaza.
  • The commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) may have been killed when Israel killed Nasrallah’s replacement on Friday (Oct. 4, 2024).

Monday, Oct. 7, 2024 (Day 367) The three hundred and twelfth day of the resumed war. Day 145 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Israel said it will not let Hamas rebuild its forces in Gaza.
  • The Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen fired a missile at Tel Aviv. Israel’s Air Force intercepted it before it crossed Israel’s border.
  • Israel killed 6 senior Hezbollah commanders and 44 other terrorists today.
  • On the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, Netanyahu told grieving family members of hostages, “Together we will continue to fight, and together – with God’s grace – we will triumph.”

Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2024 (Day 368) The three hundred and thirteenth day of the resumed war. Day 146 of the attack on Rafah.

  • Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets at one of Israel’s largest cities (Haifa).
  • Israel said it will launch a naval assault on Lebanon from the Mediterranean Sea and urged citizens to stay away from the Sea and off the beach.
  • The most senior Hezbollah leader that is still alive in Lebanon called for an unconditional ceasefire today, but Israel doesn’t trust him.
  • Israel increased its attacks on Hezbollah despite threats from Iran.
  • Israel destroyed a Hezbollah tunnel that started in Lebanon and extended into Israel, but the exit into Israel had not yet been completed.
  • Israel destroyed dozens of Hezbollah underground command centers and killed at least 50 terrorists.

Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024 (Day 369): The three hundred and fourteenth day of the resumed war. Day 147 of the attack on Rafah.

  • 90 rockets were fired at Israel from Lebanon. 2 people were killed. 8 were injured.
  • Yahya Sinwar is alive and demanding that Muslims resume suicide bombings in Israeli cities.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

Halloween is coming. What does that mean to you? When I was a child, I couldn’t wait to dress up and go house to house begging for candy. Kids still do that today, but it seems as if it’s on a much creepier level. The costumes are very evil, as are the Halloween season movies. My focus has changed much over the years, and today I view Halloween as something I don’t want to take part in. The traditions all seem to glorify pure evil, and that has no value for any Christian.

As I drive around, I notice that many people decorate their yards with very creepy things. They plant gravestones in the front yard while ghostly sheets hover above. Skeletons are on the porch to welcome visitors with their eerie smiles. This year, I’ve noticed many people are putting huge skeletons in their front yards, which are 10 or 15 feet tall. Are they glorifying the Nephilim? It all makes me wonder what these people believe and what they worship. It’s a good idea to glorify and obey God in all you do.

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in our spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20).

The Christians in Corinth had many, many faults, and Paul wrote this letter to encourage them to shun evil, be obedient to God, and turn from their worldly ways. They were proud of their open-mindedness – their “wokeness” – and they accepted all manner of sin rather than being obedient to God.

The Nephilim were totally evil beings, giants who were the offspring of the Fallen Angels and human women. “There were giants in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown” (Genesis 6:4).

That is nothing to be glorified. God took such exception to the evil these creatures inflicted and the genetic tampering that was taking place, and He was sorry that He had created humans. “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he made man on earth, and it grieved him at his heart” (Genesis 6:5-6).

That sounds much like people today. Genetic tampering and evil are corrupting God’s creation today. “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth” (Genesis 6:11-12).

All of creation was affected, and God’s judgment had to come, or there would be nothing left to save. Noah and his family had kept themselves apart from the evils found all around them and were genetically pure. Because of this, God was able to use Noah to build an Ark to save eight genetically pure people and some animals.

Noah couldn’t hide the Ark, so I’m sure everybody around could see what he was doing. Were they curious? Did they ask questions? If they did, they most likely laughed at the answers they got. “God will send rain, and the earth will be flooded?” “You’re nuts.” Really? Since there had never been rain before, just a mist that watered the earth, the people couldn’t understand. They went on living their lives in ignorance and sin. Then it was too late. The Ark was finished, and judgment would come quickly.

Noah and his sons had trusted God and were obedient. I’m so thankful for people like them who don’t follow the ways of the world… the ways of Satan.

“For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth” (Genesis 7:4).

I wonder if Noah ever began to question his faith. He had believed God and was obedient, but what was next? Everything he knew and was familiar with was on the outside of the Ark. God was in control of when all that would be saved were safe.

“And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in” (Genesis 7:16).

Can you imagine the shock they all had? The door was open, then it was shut. Nobody could enter or exit. Everybody had a choice, so nobody could blame God for being left outside the Ark of safety. Then the rain started. The pitter-patter of rain on the roof was a new sound, but it wouldn’t be long until the fountains of the deep opened up and God’s judgment was in full swing. Why had so few people obeyed God? Why do so few seem to obey God today? Judgment is coming, the signs are all making news headlines, but few listen. Few are obedient to God. Put your faith in Jesus Christ today. God’s judgment is coming again, but Christians will be safe at Home with Jesus.

Obedience is a choice we all make. We have a huge advantage over those people in Noah’s day; we have the written word of God found in Scripture. When God told Noah to build the boat, he got busy following God’s instructions. That same attitude needs to be embraced today. The world around us is dying because most follow Satan’s evil. It’s nothing new for people to get caught in the trap of sin. Eve believed Satan’s lies, and Adam knew better but followed her in sin. When the fallen angels began taking “wives,” that might have looked like a lark to other women, who followed in sin, but it led to destruction. Soon, only Noah and his family had pure genes as God had created humans. Sin corrupts, and though it may look tempting, it always has consequences.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

We make our own choice of whether we follow sin and destroy our body with alcohol, drugs, and illicit sexual activity. God has given us His word as a guide in life. He even stepped into His creation to give us an example of how to conduct our lives. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5).

Jesus Christ is our Ark of Salvation.

Much evil is gripping our world today, and I’m not sure how much longer until God shuts the door. When we study Scripture and understand prophecy, it’s very clear that the Time of Jacob’s Trouble will soon start. Of course, this reference is to Israel specifically, but the entire world will be affected. Remember, God has never stopped loving Israel; Christians have not replaced God’s chosen people.

Watching the war in Israel is like watching the end time’s prophecies coming alive. God hasn’t turned against Israel, but we are living in a special time known as the Age of Grace.

“For by grace as ye save through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

That means that those of us who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation have found grace through Him, and we are no longer under the Law of Moses. Our salvation is secure. Jesus did all the work for us, but in gratitude we need to be obedient to Him. He told us to spread the Gospel, and we need to get busy.

You may, like Noah, be an example of faith by your obedience in the way you live, or you may be someone who has a Bible study in your home that welcomes people who otherwise wouldn’t attend worship services. Maybe you own a business and can use it to show God’s love. I shop at Hobby Lobby and always enjoy listening to the Christian songs that play while I shop. There are many ways you can show your faith. We cannot be a good witness for Christ if our life reflects the worldly ways around us. Obedience to God’s ways is important.

Just as in Noah’s time, judgment is coming soon. God promised to never again destroy the world by water, but the coming judgments will be worse. The Book of Revelation gives a very frightening account of the final judgments. Beginning in chapter 6, we can read of the earth being destroyed and people dying. A one-world order is coming soon, and it is often called the Beast System. The Anti-Christ will soon come to power and lead the world to destruction. Christians have hope. The Blessed Hope only found in Jesus Christ. We will be taken Home prior to the worst judgments of God that can be imagined.

The Apostle John was given a vision of this time of judgment, but he also saw the Rapture. He was first given seven letters written by Jesus to seven churches. These letters are also a summary of seven time periods of the Christian church. After the age described in the final letter, John sees a door.

“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven; and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter” (Revelation 4:1).

Reading in English doesn’t have the same impact as reading in the original language. The English words “After this” and “hereafter” are both translated from the Greek phrase “meta tauta,” which is a chronological term for a sequence of events. Sequentially, chapters 2 and 3 (the church age) happen, then the next event is the Rapture, as seen in the above verse. Then after the Rapture, Chapter 5 shows what happens to Christians in Heaven. What an awesome place to spend eternity! Beginning in chapter 6, the final judgments begin with the opening of the seals.

Obedience to God is important for life on earth, as well as life for eternity. You have a choice whether to be obedient or to defy God. Only faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ will bring eternal life. If you haven’t accepted Christ for salvation, then you need to do that now. If you have questions, you need to talk to a born-again Christian who can explain why you need Jesus and how you can find salvation.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Were you baptized as a baby? That’s not enough. You need to make your own decision. You need to confess with your own mouth and believe in your own heart that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Be obedient and do that now.

Shun the ways of the world and be obedient to God’s truth. Allow Him to change your life.
