Franklin Graham on Trump White House’s Holy Week Celebrations: ‘What a Contrast to Easter Last Year’

Christian Evangelist Franklin Graham praised the Trump administration for devoting the week to recognizing the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, contrasting that with what occurred last year as former President Joe Biden made sure to highlight the “Transgender Day of Visibility,” which fell on Easter.

“What a contrast to Easter last year at the White House when President Biden declared the most holy day of the year on the Christian calendar ‘Transgender Day of Visibility,'” Graham wrote. He pointed out a piece highlighting the Holy Week plans of the Trump White House this year, which include “a Holy Week proclamation, a special presidential video message, host a pre-Easter dinner, and White House staff Easter service,” as detailed by Jennifer Korn, faith director of the White House Faith Office.

Korn told Fox News Digital that it will be a “special time of prayer and worship at the White House to be shared with Americans celebrating the week leading up to Resurrection Sunday.”

“I’m thankful for President @realDonaldTrump and the White House Faith Office, and I look forward to being there this week,” Graham added.

Graham is expected to take part in the staff worship service taking place at the White House on Thursday alongside Pastor Greg Laurie and Pastor Jentezen Franklin, per Fox News Digital.

Indeed, last year, Transgender Day of Visibility fell on Easter Sunday, and former President Joe Biden chose to highlight it, issuing a proclamation on Good Friday which read in part, “We honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives.”

It continued:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility. I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity.

At the time, Biden’s White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to minimize Biden recognizing the Transgender Day of Visibility, which fell on Easter Sunday, asserting that Biden is “a Christian who celebrates Easter with family.”

President Donald Trump on Sunday kicked off Holy Week with a powerful message, recognizing “the Crucifixion of God’s Only Begotten Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

“… and, on Easter Sunday, we celebrate His Glorious Resurrection and proclaim, as Christians have done for nearly 2,000 years, ‘HE IS RISEN!'” Trump wrote.

April 5th saw thousands of “demonstrators” across the country protesting President Trump’s policies, giving leftist news organizations a heyday of reporting and criticism of the president. What they didn’t report was that a large slate of socialist- and communist-inspired groups paid for the protests and hired people to actually do the “protesting.”

This type of gaslighting the American public has become commonplace in society, fueling the ignorant and apathetic masses’ perceptions against Trump and America. This is all part of a growing revolution in the name of “democracy” and resistance against anything that would strengthen America, provide jobs, and generate individual success.

Look no further than the so-called sponsors of the “Hands Off” demonstrations:

Democratic Socialists of America, Greenpeace, Human Rights Campaign, Indivisible, MoveOn.org, National Education Association, Our Revolution, Planned Parenthood, Pride at Work, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, Progressive Democrats of America, Rainbow Push Coalition, Reproductive Freedom for All, Rise and Resist, Stand Up America, Volunteer Blue, a host of labor unions, homosexual activist groups, climate change and global warming groups, social justice groups, environmental activists, teachers unions, including the National Education Association, and Catholics Vote Common Good. Just to name a few.

MoveOn Executive Director Rahna Epting is quoted on the Hands Off 2025 website:

“What we witnessed today was nothing short of extraordinary. Across the country and around the world, people came together to say: we will not be silent while our rights, our futures, and our democracy are under attack. This peaceful movement is powered by everyday people—nurses, teachers, students, parents—who are rising up to protest what matters most. We are united, we are relentless, and we are just getting started.”

The website uses lies, fearmongering, and class warfare—a tried and true communist strategy. They say Trump is dismantling Social Security and Medicare, handing trillions to billionaires, allowing money sources to scam Americans, and assaulting communities and rights by targeting political opponents, kids, transgenders, farmers, and others.

Who robbed Social Security and Medicare and diverted funds to cronies and politicians? Who handed trillions to billionaires? Who assaults communities with violence, enablement, and lawfare? Trump has exposed exactly what the Democrats have been doing, and now MoveOn and others want to blame Trump for their own actions.

They hire people who don’t even care about these issues to hold signs and shout slogans. They abuse their right to free speech by promoting the very type of revolution that will end free speech, end economic freedom, and enslave everyone to an all-powerful regime.

Proverbs 17:11 says, “An evil man seeks only rebellion; a cruel messenger will be sent against him.”

They rebel against country, but even worse, they rebel against God.
