The Entire Story of the Bible is about Jesus, Part 3 :: By Sean Gooding

Genesis 14:19:20

“Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: ‘Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand.’ And he gave him a tithe of all.”

Hebrews 7:1-10

“For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,  to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.”

We continue our journey in the Old Testament, showing places where Jesus shows up in various ways. Last week, we looked at the account of the Ark and made the point that all that was required for people to live through the Flood was to be IN the Ark. In the same manner, all that is required for eternal life is that we be IN Christ. He is our salvation and the only means of being saved.

Today, we will look at one of the most interesting and intriguing characters of the Bible. We first meet him in Genesis 14, and then He shows up in various passages all through the Scriptures, and we find a final mention of Him in Hebrews.

We find him in Psalm 110:4, and we find that He is a priest after the order of Melchizedek. In this passage, David is making a prophecy about Jesus. Jesus refers to this Psalm once when challenging the Pharisees about Himself. IN Matthew 22:42-46, Jesus challenges the Pharisees about Jesus’ deity; he points out that David calls Him Lord, even though, as a human, he is David’s son. This is an example of Jesus showing that He existed long before He was born of a woman. Then in the same passage, God, called LORD, shows that Jesus, Lord, will be a priest ‘forever’ after the order of Melchizedek.

Jesus is NOT a priest after the order of Levi; why? Because what Levi was, through Aaron, was a temporary thing. The sacrifices were temporary; the Old Covenant was temporary, and there was a New Covenant coming in the Person of Jesus.

When we meet Melchizedek, he is coming out to meet Abram, who is returning from a military victory. You should take the time to read the whole chapter if possible. As Abram is returning, he is met by the Man, who we are told in Hebrews is the King of Righteousness and that He is the King of Salem, which is translated the King of Peace. Both of these names are names for Jesus. In Hebrews 1:8, we see this promise from God to Jesus,

“But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy Kingdom.”

A scepter is one of the instruments of the King. IN Genesis 49:10, we have this promise to the tribe of Judah, “The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.” Thus, we can clearly see that Jesus is the King of Righteousness.

In Isaiah 9:6, we see this prophecy written about 750 years before Jesus was born, “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”

The Prince of Peace is another name for King of Peace, so we see here that the child that is born is the King of Peace. In addition to these, we see in Hebrews that Melchizedek has neither mother nor father, he has no genealogy, and he has “neither beginning of days nor end of life.” These are all attributes of God. Thus, we can conclude that Melchizedek is God, Jesus in the flesh, who came out to meet Abram on his return from the war. To add more credence, we see that Melchizedek was the King of Salem.

A little history will tell you that when Abram entered the land of Canaan, there was an ancient city of the Jebusites called Salem (Generationword.com). The name was at one time ‘Yerushalem,’ which means the foundation stone of Shalem or the cornerstone of peace. Many believe that this is where the original cornerstone of the earth was laid by God when He formed the earth. David captured the city around 1005 BC (2 Samuel 5:6-7:9), and it has been associated with the Jews ever since. It is still the capital city of Israel to this day. So, Melchizedek, the King of Jerusalem, the King of Righteousness, and the King of Peace came out to meet Abram. He fed him bread and wine, ‘Lord Supper,’ before the Passover ever existed, and blessed Abram.

Lastly, and it is important to note that both in Genesis and in Hebrews, this is mentioned: Abram paid tithes to the King of Salem. Tithing existed BEFORE the Law of Moses. Abram gave tithes to Melchizedek, and it is noted that Aaron, or Levi, paid tithes through Abram to Melchizedek. Abram paid Him, Melchizedek, from the profits of all he brought back from winning the battle. Tithing of our profit has been and continues to be a principle of those that are Abram’s children and that serve Jesus the King. We are told that Abraham is the ‘father of all who believe’ in Romans 4:11.

Once again, we see Jesus in the Old Testament, showing up as the King of Jerusalem and blessing Abram. Jesus is everywhere in the Bible; the entire story of the Bible is about Him. He is the first and the last, the Creator and the Sustainer of all, and He is both the beginning of the story and the end. Jesus, it is all about Him.

The Peacemakers :: By Rick Segoine

“Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God” (Matthew 5:9).

God does bless the peacemakers; the question is, does He bless peacemakers who attempt to divide up the land that He gave to Israel in an everlasting, irrevocable covenant? (Romans11:28-29)

Donald Trump is pursuing peace deals like no other American president before him. Trump has brokered peace between several warring nations, including Thailand and Cambodia.

The most visible peace deal Trump is involved in is the war between the nation of Israel and the genocidal Islamic jihadists of Hamas, who have since 2001 used the Gaza Strip as a launching pad to relentlessly attack Israel with rockets, suicide bombings, and, most recently, the October 7th, 2023, massacre of approx. 1,200 Israeli citizens.

That barbaric slaughter of innocent Israelis included the elderly and infants. Many brutal rapes also occurred that day, and another 250 people were taken hostage.

Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders have vowed to completely eliminate Hamas and all of its demonic members, and for the last two years, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have been going about the business of doing just that. This is in spite of constant criticism and protests by the U.N. and Israel-hating leftists from around the globe.

Trump has involved himself deeply in negotiations for a ceasefire in this war and the release of all remaining living hostages, as well as the bodies of the deceased hostages.

As of this writing, all of the living hostages have been released to the relief of their families, and that is a wonderful thing. Donald J. Trump is to be commended for helping to make that happen.

With that being said, all doesn’t appear to be “nothing but roses” when Trump starts dictating to Benjamin Netanyahu on matters regarding Israeli sovereignty and a premature ceasefire that would once again let Hamas off the hook.

Mr. Netanyahu is walking a tightrope trying to please those in his government coalition who are pro-elimination of Hamas and pro-annexation of Judea and Samaria, or pleasing the two-state solution Globalists and Donald Trump, who has clearly stated his opposition to Israel taking sovereign action to annex Judea and Samaria — which are a vital part of the very heartland of Israel as well as a hotbed for Islamic terrorism.

Statements by Trump like, “If you annex Judea and Samaria, I will withdraw aid from Israel,” are not only usurping and dictatorial in nature but also in direct conflict with God Himself and the everlasting covenant the Lord has established with Israel regarding land boundaries.

Trump claims annexation of Judea and Samaria “won’t happen” because he promised the Arab nations surrounding Israel that it wouldn’t.

These are some of the same Arab nations that are part of the Abraham Accords, which is also a Trump brainchild. The same Arab nations that have at worst called for the destruction of Israel and at best supported dividing the land of Israel by way of the so-called two-state solution. The same Arab nations that, since 1948, participated in numerous direct attacks against Israel (1948, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 2006, 2023, 2025).

The same Arab Muslim nations that refer to Judea and Samaria as the “West Bank” as does Trump, V.P. J.D. Vance, special envoy Steve Witcoff, and Trump’s son-in-law, Middle East advisor Jared Kushner. The same Islamic nations that use “taqiyya” (deception) as a strategy to achieve their long-term goal of imposing Sharia law on the entire world.

As recently as a few months ago, Trump was hinting at dropping out of the fully corrupt UN and expelling them from its New York headquarters. Now, Trump has proposed a 20-point peace plan that includes a ceasefire in Gaza and an International Stabilization Force (ISF) made up of nations such as Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Turkey to enforce peace in war-torn Gaza, and he has the US negotiating with the UN Security Council on implementing the plan.

And with Tony Blair (an entrenched Globalist) playing an important role as supervisor.

This comes on the heels of Trump working on a $500 billion dollar deal with the World Economic Forum on building an Artificial Intelligence infrastructure that will greatly contribute to a digital ID tracking system.

The system that will eventually be used by the Antichrist.

Why is Donald Trump getting in bed with lying Globalists and lying Islamists?

In his first administration, Trump was naïve enough to surround himself with Deep State advisors who betrayed him on numerous occasions. Is it déjà vu all over again, as Yogi Berra would say?

Is Trump turning into a “walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction?”

If so, I submit it is because of five main things:

  1. Trump doesn’t fully understand Israel and their covenants with God.
  2. He doesn’t seem to fully understand that salvation is by grace alone and not works.
  3. He doesn’t fully comprehend the level of deception that both the Deep State Globalists and the Islamists are willing to indulge in.
  4. He doesn’t fully, if at all, understand who Satan is and the extent of the evil influence that Satan infuses his deluded followers with.
  5. Trump’s ego is truly enormous.

I am not against Donald Trump. I recognize that God has raised him up to perform on the American and world stage to accomplish good things no one else seems capable of.

I understand the Israelites’ comparison of Donald Trump to King Cyrus of ancient Persia (Iran), whom God raised up to be a tremendous ally to Israel back in the day.

With all of that being said, Trump and his entire Middle East team of peacemakers have been displaying an appalling ignorance as to the biblical promises made to Israel regarding land boundaries. Promises made by the God of Israel, who also happens to be the Creator of the universe and of all life.

Vice President J.D. Vance, for example, was recently quoted as saying in regard to the Israeli Knesset and their plan to annex Judea and Samaria, “It was a very stupid publicity stunt and an insult to the policies of the Trump administration.” Does such a statement not elevate Trump policies over God’s biblical instructions not to divide the land He gave to Abraham and his descendants? (Joel 3:2)

How is it possible to be a peacemaker in the Middle East and at the same time bring the curse of God’s covenant with Abraham down on yourself and upon America? In Genesis 12:3, God told Abraham,

“I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you.”

Trump would be wise to be very careful about running roughshod over Benjamin Netanyahu and the democratically elected government of Israel.

Trump has stated that his mission is to bring everlasting peace to the Middle East.

His stated goal is to expand the Abraham Accords and to get all of the Islamic nations surrounding Israel to sign on. “A covenant with many” that President Trump has said that hopefully will bring everlasting peace to the region.

“Everlasting peace” is a very bold statement for any human being to make. Especially in light of biblical prophecies that indicate otherwise. Prophecies like Ezekiel 38-39, Matthew 24, and the entire book of Revelation, for example.

When Mr. Trump says things that are in conflict with God’s plans and promises to Israel as outlined in scripture, he then appears to be playing God. Especially if he aligns himself with Deep State Operatives that he had previously condemned, like the UN and WEF, as well as Islamic nations that have clearly hated and fought against Israel, supported Hamas, and advocated for the destruction of Israel.

Even more concerning are any comments from Mr. Trump that a student of prophecy might expect the Antichrist to say. Mr. Trump appears to believe that it is he rather than Jesus who will bring everlasting peace to the Middle East.

Donald Trump, in a very short period of time, has done quite a number of truly great things for America, for Israel, and for the world at large, but Trump is not wiser than the Almighty, even if at times he speaks or behaves as if he were. And yet God, not the Donald, is in control. Trump can do only what God allows.

Here are some of the promises made by God the Father to Israel, whom God has vowed: “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:2).

His first promises were made to Abram, whose name God later changed to Abraham, which means the “father of many” (Genesis 17:5).

“I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:3).

After leaving his home as God instructed him to do, and on pure faith, walking more than 1,000 miles from the land of Ur to the land of Canaan, God once again spoke to Abraham.

And God said, “To your offspring I will give this land” (Genesis 12:7).

Then in Genesis 13:14-17, the Lord said, “Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted.”

God told Abraham that He was giving him the land forever. In other words, a covenant without an ending date. Here in 2025, that covenant is still in place. In Romans 11, Paul explains in detail about this irrevocable everlasting covenant God made with Abraham.

And God said, “Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

On that day, the Lord made a covenant with Abraham, who at the time was still called Abram, and said, “I have given this land to your descendants, all the way from the border of Egypt to the great Euphrates River” (Genesis 15:18).

While here in the year 2025, Muslims, along with the useful idiots of the West, chant, “From the river to the sea, all of Palestine shall be free,” they are unknowingly referring to the land God gave to Abraham and his offspring forever with an everlasting, irrevocable covenant.

That would include Judea and Samaria, which are only referred to as the “West Bank” by those who are either ignorant of or in defiance of everlasting covenants made by Holy God with Israel as recorded in the Holy Bible.

May I please be very blunt? A few billion people may not like this, but the truth is this:

Everyone, that means every single person on Earth who is advocating for a two-state solution to the Palestinian/Israeli conflict that has been going on since 1948 when Israel was awarded nationhood, is taking a stance in direct opposition to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And, they risk being cursed in so doing.

They forget that it was God who chose Abraham and made the covenant with him.

It was God who chose Israel to reveal Himself through.

It was God who gave the ancient Israelites the ten commandments that all civil societies since have been based on.

It was Israel to whom God manifested supernatural miracles through and on behalf of on countless occasions throughout history.

It was God who, through the Holy Spirit, planted the seed for the body of the Messiah to attain human form inside the womb of an Israelite virgin named Mary.

It was God who orchestrated the life of Jesus the Messiah (a Jew) on Earth so that fallen man and womankind could find salvation through believing in God’s only begotten and sinless Son, who died in our place, and who paid in full for our transgressions, and through His shed blood, set us free from our debt to the law of God.

It was God who preserved the culture of His chosen people in the 2,000 years comprising the Diaspora when the Israelites (Jews) were scattered among many nations after Roman General Titus destroyed the rebuilt Jewish temple in 70 AD.

It was God who inspired Israelite OT prophets like Ezekiel, Zechariah, Moses and others to speak about what the latter days would look like regarding the nation of Israel. In the NT, Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John spoke of these things as well.

Here are a few prophecies to consider concerning the nation of Israel in the latter days.

(Genesis 12:1-3) (Ezekiel 37) (Zechariah 10:6) (Deuteronomy 30:3-5) (Zechariah 12:2-3) (Matthew 24:32-34) (Romans 11:25-26) (Revelation 7:4-8) (Revelation 21:12) (Acts 1:6-7)

There is a mountain of evidence both scriptural and historical that suggest two important facts to know.

One is – and this has been written about countless times with evidence provided in abundance – that there is not and never has been a recognized national homeland for Palestinians.

Only those who believe in a rewritten version of actual history entertain such a notion.

It matters not how many believe in that rewritten version of history. It will still not be true in the past, in the present, or anytime in the future, at all, ever.

The second and most important thing to consider is that God really is in control. He always has been, is still to this very day, and will always and forever be in control of the relationship with His chosen people who once again reside in the land God gave them so very long ago. That being the nation of Israel with its capital in Jerusalem.

Recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, btw, was one of the great things brought about by Donald J. Trump in his first administration.

God has a plan for His chosen nation of Israel to shower them with the spirit of grace near the end of the tribulation so they will recognize Jesus as the Messiah (Zechariah 12:10).

And they will “mourn for the one they pierced.”

Here, near the end of the year 2025, the fallen angel known as Lucifer is on a frenzied mission on planet Earth to turn as many people (both believers and non-believers alike) against the tiny nation of Israel and against Jews everywhere all over this world.

Lucifer wants as many humans as possible to join him in opposing the Will of God in all things, but especially in this matter regarding His chosen people who comprise the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel, and the holy city of Jerusalem, where the Lord Jesus was crucified and then rose up from the grave to show He even has power over death.

Sadly, Lucifer has been successful at turning many against Israel in these last days and, in so doing, brings on the fulfillment of numerous prophecies.

Zechariah 12:2 says this, “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.”

Zechariah 12:3 goes on to say, “And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of earth shall be gathered against it.”

Here in the year 2025, in the month of November, Jew hatred, Israel bashing, and antisemitism are rampant across the globe – rampant among the Globalists, the Islamists, the Leftists of nearly every stripe, the useful idiots on college campuses that have been thoroughly brainwashed and gas-lit by Marxist professors and Muslim propagandists, and the liberal news networks who are in compliance with Marxists and Muslims alike.

Even high-profile “conservative” influencers like Tucker Carlson and Candice Owens have become Jew-hating mouthpieces for the dark side as they spew venomous slander against God and His chosen people and the nation of Israel.

All who have taken up the evil mantra of the blood libel that blames the Jews for all of the problems in the world have something in common.

What they share in common is total disregard for the everlasting irrevocable covenants between the Creator of all and the Jewish people, who, after many centuries of persecution, are still trying to survive in a world of hostility.

The time is coming when the Israelites will be so desperate for peace and safety that – because they as a nation still have not recognized Jesus as their Messiah – they shall fall prey to a false covenant of peace as laid out by the false messiah also known as the Antichrist.

The signing of this false covenant will mark the beginning of the seven-year tribulation period, aka “the time of Jacob’s trouble” and the “70th week of Daniel.” The prophet Daniel spoke of these things some 2,500 years ago in chapter 11 of the book of Daniel.

This false peace covenant comes just after the rapture of the “Bride of Christ” and the removal of the Holy Spirit in His role as the restrainer.

Midway through the seven-year peace agreement, the Antichrist will betray Israel and declare himself to be God, as he defiles the rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem and commits what Daniel referred to as “the abomination of desolation.”

According to the convergence of the many prophetic signs, these events are close at hand.

“For when they say peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape” (1Thessalonians 5:3-6).

Other scriptures about such a false peace are these: (Micah 3:5) (Jeremiah 14:13-14) (Jeremiah 6:14) (Daniel 9:27) (Thessalonians 5:1-3).

Knowledge of these prophecies and knowledge of current events add up to this:

Watch and be ready for the trumpet to sound, the shout of the archangel, and the voice of the Lord to call His bride unto Him.

May God continue to bless all genuine peacemakers and yet at the same time, put all of your faith in Jesus, for He and He alone holds the key to actual peace on Earth as well as the keys to our salvation.

And He whom Jesus calls Father, and He alone, knows the day and the hour of the calling.

And He alone can declare a time of “everlasting peace.”

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, and the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we be with the Lord forever” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
