Do You See the Times? :: By Don Twobears

How is it that people of today do NOT know the Prophecies of the Holy Word of God?! Do you ever think of this? We all, to one extent or another, watch the news every day. So now the question is, what are you seeing take place?

Here in the U.S.A., we see riots and violence and killings! Does this occurrence, make you wonder what all is going on? Why is there so much unrest, anger and violence? Would you be surprised if I told you these things were Prophesied in the Bible? I know some of you will scoff at this; some of you will read it and then disregard what is written in the Bible.

2 Timothy 3:1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.”

2 Timothy 3:8-9 “Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.”

So here we are, having read what the Word of God says about these times right now! How do you feel about this? Do you see what all is taking place, the lawlessness, the violence, the “Reprobate Minds”? And for the Lost, you are reading what a Book that is older than 4,500 years has to say about everything that is taking place right now! This IS for everyone to read!

How is this possible? It is the inerrant Holy Word from God Almighty! You, my Friend, have the choice to believe it or not, to believe Jesus Christ or not and, ultimately, that there is indeed a Heaven and a Hell. There is indeed a Big Black Line; one side is Jesus Christ and the other is Satan. With Jesus Christ, you have Heaven, and with Satan you have Hell! Make no mistake, you will be on one side or the other, and it will be your choice to make.

Do you believe that we are living in the “End Times”? Please reread the passage of Scripture above. Do you think “Perilous Times” have arrived? Are people unhappy and looking for a scapegoat, someone to blame, someone to beat up or kill because they are not happy? Ya think?! What else do you see or feel in all of this? Could you be a victim of this behavior? And what are we to do about all of this mess? Do you think spreading money across the nation will end all of this? Absolutely NOT!

Do you believe that our “Leaders” will be able to quell these angry hearts and minds? NO! Simply because some of them are working to promote this unrest and violence, even paying for some to bring these events to life! So, if we “Defund the Police,” how will you keep from being beaten or killed by these Hooligans? Who…will have your back, or the backs of your Family? What about being able to go to the grocery store and buy food? Will there be an “honorable presence” there to protect you? Or what if you and your Family decide to go on vacation…what about then? Or if these so-called Leaders get their way and “Socialism” is in place. Do you really think things will be better, and you and your Family will be better off? Will the unrest…become Peace? IF…you believe that, then I know you believe in the Tooth-Fairy and Santa Claus as well.

What does the Bible say?

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

My Friends, the Word of God abounds in Blessings…for everyone…that comes to Jesus Christ! Yet again, it is YOUR choice! YOU get to decide…whether you want Heaven or Hell. God has never made that choice for you…you have made that choice all by your lonesome!

I already know, everyone loves the “Easy Way,” all the comforts and good stuff! So then, why would you choose to go to Hell? IF you do not accept Jesus Christ, you will go to Hell; even if you choose to not accept either way, you go to Hell! You must choose to accept the Gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ…IF you want Heaven…there is NO other way!

Just so you know, Eternity in Hell is awesomely horrible! There will not be any parties; as a matter of fact, you will not see anyone else! Your existence will be solitary, in scorching heat and depravity, knowing each and every moment that you could have accepted Jesus Christ…but never did. And once you are there, you will NEVER be able to change it; you will NEVER see Heaven! You had your chance while here on earth. Come, folks…THINK on this. The Bible never lies!

So now, I’m guessing that you’re wondering about how much fun you’ll miss if you ACCEPT Jesus Christ…right? I am a Believer in Jesus Christ, and I have not missed a single thing! I am happier than I ever was before. I see clearer and more accurately, I have Peace of mind, I have better Health, and I no longer worry about anything. MY Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Provides everything! So, if you’re worried about everything taking place nowadays, DON’T. The Word of God told us about all of this ahead of time. The Rapture is very, very, close…and I can NOT wait to meet my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I have made my choice already…so now I write to ask you if you have made that same decision for you. “Today is the day of Salvation!” Well…at least if you still want Peace and Harmony.

I Like knowing the future; I LOVE to read the Word of God and then KNOW where I am going in Eternity. I LOVE knowing I am SAVED by Jesus Christ…GOD. How about you? The future does not need to be something of wonder, or bleak and uncertain. Is there a needed change? Is there any Peace available for you and I? Absolutely…YES…there is, and HIS name is Jesus Christ! YOU must see that Big Black Line and then choose which side you want to be on. Trust me, my Friends, there is no way to sit on the Fence…it is one way or the other! Choose well…Eternity is a Really Long Time!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I certainly do not know the statistics, but I wonder if people read very much today? I’m talking about books now, not newspapers, comic books, etc. Many books today can be read on electronic devices. I suppose that counts, but it just doesn’t seem the same as holding a real book in your hand.

The greatest book ever written, and I guess the least read, would have to be the Bible. As the title above says, it is God’s message to us. Have you ever wondered what God has to say? Have you ever wondered what He is like? Maybe you have personal questions or would like to know what is going to happen to us when this earthly life is over.

Adrian Rogers once said, “Someone said, ‘The Bible is such a wonderful book. It is shallow enough that a little child can come and get a drink without fear of drowning, and so deep that the scholars can swim in it and never touch bottom.'”

Sometimes my wife and I like to read ‘legal thriller’ books written by a secular author that are very well written. The author has the ability to pull you into the story simply by using words, and has written many books. Several have even been made into movies which have also been successful.

You just can’t beat the Bible, though. Casual Bible readers will start nodding off to sleep about now, but those who are serious about really getting into God’s Word just can’t get enough.

The book of Revelation is without doubt the least read book in the Bible, but it is the only one that promises a blessing by doing so.

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near” (Revelation 1:3).

If you want to know what the future holds, there it is. It’s all packed into that one book … Revelation. But that’s not all; there are several books within the Bible that tells us future things, and the more we read them, the better we understand Revelation.

People often get discouraged when reading the Bible, saying they just can’t understand it. Hey, no one, and I mean NO ONE understands it all. Think about it. God, specifically Jesus Christ, wrote it (John 1:1-5), so no one is going to completely understand God. He is the Creator. We are the created. That would be like me trying to explain how a computer works to a grasshopper. BUT … God wants us to understand it. Otherwise, there would be no need for Him to write it.

The only way to really understand the Bible as a Christian is to allow the Spirit of God, who we call the Holy Spirit, to teach us as we read. He is the best and only teacher we need.

If we are a Christian, we have the Spirit of God living within us. He is the pledge with which God has sealed us as a guarantee, promising we always belong to Him.

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge” (2 Corinthians 1:21-22).

Many Christians are missing so many blessings by not being faithful readers of the Bible. Many try to get their spiritual ‘kicks’ from emotional genuflecting, instead of the real thing. To me, that is like eating the white of an egg instead of the yellow or eating cottage cheese instead of gravy and biscuits. Once you’ve had the best, the heck with all the rest. I’m sorry, but anyone who can eat just the white of an egg or cottage cheese is tougher than I am.

That reminds me of sermons. (Don’t ask me why.) Who knows, but this is another great example. Comparing the Bible to anything else is like comparing today’s sermonettes with sermons from men like Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

Surely you must admit there has been at least once in your life that you wondered what God says about something. Don’t go ask someone. Read His book. I’ve never known of a question that cannot be addressed from God’s Word. When you rely on someone else to tell you what God says, you’re getting their opinion. Don’t settle for an old used rattletrap; get a brand spanking new car. Get it from the horse’s mouth, in other words. Get the original, not a copy.

God has a message for each of us. It is in His book. Read the Bible. Enjoy! You’ll be blessed!
