We’ve Got Company :: By Edwin Tan

It is a terrible misnomer to just speak of the remnant of believers who follow Bible Prophecy to the letter as the Bride of Christ. There is no doubt that they are the core component of the soon-to-be raptured Church, but they definitely have company. The accompaniment stems from the righteous and upright multitude – they are truly salt plus light in this fast-decaying planet.

These are the people talked about in Luke 12:37. “Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down and eat, and will come and serve them.”

In other words, we are referring to quite a multitude who have been sealed for their day of redemption as a result of their unwavering belief in Christ. They do not look very much like the familiar faces in Bible prophecy conferences and seminars. Nevertheless, they firmly serve the Lord as a unique workmanship of Christ. Their lifestyles are a testimony of their unshakeable faith in Jesus, and it’s no surprise that they function in the hallowed process of drawing many to accept Christ as Lord and Saviour.

The upright individual is best spoken of in Isaiah 33:15-16. “He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gains of oppression, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil; He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure.”

From what has been mentioned, the individual who sticks to the path of righteousness will not be in any way disadvantaged where their eternal destiny goes. So what if they have a smattering knowledge of Bible prophecy. These folks should not be belittled when it comes to their scant understanding of the eschatology we have grown accustomed to!

Even if they possess certain shortcomings, we ought not to see them in a lesser light. One might be kind of critical of things such as their lingering worldliness. Please bear in mind that our God is full of mercy and grace – it is through His Grace that we are saved from eternal damnation. Encourage and exhort versus showing disdain. Most important of all, never let these brothers and sisters in Christ be discouraged to the point of drifting away from the Blessed Hope!

What would I say to these people who are genuine salt and light? “You folks are doing great – don’t let the light dim, but keep up the great work. You could find yourself meeting Jesus in the clouds in a split second, and your life will never be the same again – there will be that exceeding joy that will last forever in something beyond your imagination!”

Election Chess Game/Division Among Us :: By Bill Wilson

The election should be as simple as one eligible voter, one vote, vote counted, tallied and results determined, but it has become more of a multilevel chess game where votes are just the movement of the first pawn, then the real politics begin. America is beginning to see that there are a whole lot of political maneuvers involved in getting a true vote count. As the hours approach where states must certify election results, politically-appointed officials, judges, lawyers, and some elected politicians in the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Arizona will wield more power over the presidential election than the normal citizen. This is a high-stakes multilevel chess match.

Former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell detailed in his column “The Greatest Electoral Heist in American History” how state officials were able to “weaken, alter, and eliminate laws” designed to preserve election integrity. He cites how Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg funded a “charitable” organization working with Barack Obama’s senior advisor David Plouffe. Zuckerberg poured over $400 million into assisting officials to have “safe and secure elections” by funding operations in Democratic strongholds on how elections were to be “conducted” according to a manual written by Plouffe. Blackwell documents how high-ranking Democratic Party state officials then “simultaneously” weakened ballot security protocols, acting on their own authority without concurrence from the state legislators that put those protections in the law.

To his point, Wisconsin Democrat Secretary of State Doug La Follette allowed voters to claim a COVID exemption so they wouldn’t have to identify themselves when requesting an absentee ballot. Blackwell says Michigan Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson unilaterally voided the legal requirement that voters provide a signature when requesting an absentee ballot, AND also allowed civic groups running voter registration drives to register voters through the state’s online registration website. Can you say Zuckerberg, Plouffe, Rock The Vote and more? Pennsylvania US District Judge Matthew Brann Saturday dismissed a Trump Campaign attempt to block the state’s election certification, saying the there was no evidence of fraud. The mainstream media is not telling you that judge Brann was appointed by Obama in 2012.

Meantime, Federal Elections Commission Chairman Trey Trainor, a Trump appointee, told Newsmax that the election could be illegitimate if it is true that Republican observers were not allowed at polling places, duplicate ballots were cast, non-residents voted, and elections officials took questionable actions. This chess match will come down to courts, judges, and lawyers crowning a president—not the voters electing one. Sadly, some politicians don’t care about the ramifications to this nation so long as they retain their power. And the fallacy that we have a say with our votes will continue until We the People end it by demanding reform.

Remember Proverbs 29:2, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when the wicked rule, the people groan.” There is a whole lot of wickedness going around and we didn’t vote for that.

The Division Among Us :: By Bill Wilson

As we enter into the Thanksgiving holiday, this nation is as divided as it ever was. A recent Politico poll indicates some 80% of Republicans believe the election was stolen; some 97% of Democrats think it was fair. Democrats want to get rid of the electoral college; Republicans want to keep it. In other news, many Democratic Party leaders are saying that capitalism is racism; that funding police is racism; that anyone who supported President Trump is a racist. These accusations and labeling of groups of people who disagree with a certain political party is exactly what leads to tyranny. With tyranny comes a dissolution of freedoms of speech and religion, a likelihood that is a growing seed in dark rich soil in America.

A reminder here is appropriate: America is not the end-time timepiece. Israel is. The rise of the antichrist; the return of Christ; the rapture; are not dependent on America. No doubt, however, this country plays an integral role because of its position as the lampstand of freedom that has spread the gospel to the four corners of the earth and has served as the model for religious liberty and civil rights. Yes, we have our issues, but we work on them—at least until recent years—together and use the bountiful blessings of liberty and the ideal of “American” to solve problems and meet challenges like no other place in the world. Even so, we are falling prey to something very similar to what is prophesied in the Bible.

There is a principle described by Christ in Mark 3:24-25: “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

This is self-evident. Americans are divided to the degree that they do not need COVID 19 to keep them apart at Thanksgiving because they have politics—a far more dangerous virus, for it attacks the heart and the mind and ravages from within the soul. For this is a division of belief and faith. One cannot be driven by hate and say they love; One cannot embrace lies and be filled with the truth; One cannot dishonor his brethren and be honorable; One cannot be motivated by injustice toward others and be just.

Which brings us to Christ’s point in Mark 3:26, “And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.”

With these types of internal conflict as evidenced by not only our nation, but also within the souls of many, the work of the devil will have an end within. A nation divided cannot stand. We are divided as a nation, in many cases hatefully so. A house divided cannot stand. Many of our families are divided, causing anger and distrust. The common divider right now masquerades as politics, but in reality, it is spiritual. This division is between those who have stronger degrees of faith than others. Political beliefs are manifesting as substitutes for faith.

As Christ followers, we must rise above this political trap and stand in the breech, showing the way just as the Word of God is the lamp unto our feet.
