Embarking On a New Strategy :: By Jim Towers

With rain continuing to pummel us and causing life-threatening floods, some of which are unprecedented, I’m reminded yet again that Christ Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.”

Also, World War 3 appears to be looming. The former president of Russia, Dmitri Medvedev, today told Putin that he should do a preemptive strike on the United States NOW – before we can manufacture more bombs. That, plus a magnitude 7.3 earthquake in Alaska, as well as other catastrophic events around the world, has caused me to embark on a new strategy to reach people for Christ with my over forty-year ministry.

As most of you know, I’ve been handing out “business” cards advertising Rapture Ready and DZD as well as my own website (in which Kelly Tyson has a wonderful video regarding the salvation message). Well, those cards will soon be gone, and I’ve decided to come up with a new one titled “REPENT AMERICA.” God willing, I will also be wearing a T-shirt with that same message emblazoned across the front for all to see, much like the haggard street evangelists of the past who used a sandwich board instead – something I’ve been accused of acting like and waving my raggedy Bible to passing cars while standing on a street corner and shouting “the end is near.”

Albeit, who will be justified before the throne of Christ – the complacent, theologically trained clergy who spout rehearsed sermons to captive audiences for a paycheck and acclamation, or the “fool for God”?

Regarding the design for the cards, I asked for another opinion, and what was given was that it should say – “The End is Near!” I was startled by that response since the person I asked is, in fact, a nominal, logical Christian from birth! But extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, so I’m going along with it.

Today I encountered three diners at a local restaurant, and one of the two men read the caption on my cap, which reads, “AUTHOR.” Upon leaving, he stopped me as I was passing and said, “So you are an author. I remember a writer named Mickey Spillane who told of his transition from writer to author.” He explained that Mickey was a writer who became an author after selling millions of copies of his books. I thought, I should be so lucky, and replied, “Well, I used to wear a cap that said WRITER, but after being published, I began wearing this one with AUTHOR written on it.”

At the same time, I was pulling my little packet of cards out and distributed one to each of them, including the woman to whom I said, “We are living in the end times, and this card with the QR code on it will take you to my website where you can learn more about it. All three of them were amazed at my boldness but acquiesced to checking out my cards while acknowledging that the world has gone mad and war crazy.

Christian women are doing their part as well; our own Cindy Nuara posted on Facebook the incredible video of a young boy who had a glimpse of heaven and his deceased father after waking from anesthesia (he had a serious injury while skateboarding). This incredible proof of God’s existence tells me that God is pulling out all the stops in getting us to acknowledge Him and to repent before it’s too late and we miss the rapture.

This shift lies not in the belief that the advent of the Messiah approaches but in the removal of the few remaining filters relating to how this emerging reality is presented to the greater public. In light of the “open miracles” and “wonders upon wonders,” as the rabbis put it, there is no longer any reason to be circumspect or constrained in the rhetoric. On the contrary: There is an obligation to convey to society the magnitude of the moment and the unfolding redemption it portends.

Is my website not titled propheticsignsandwonders? And my first book titled “Miracles, Peace and Power”? These days, I’m awakened all hours of the night with ideas on how to reach others with the Word of God in light of what’s happening in our world today, and I can’t begin to tell you what a privilege it is to serve God in this way. Getting to meet and talk to people from all walks of life and leading some of them to faith in Jesus Christ is the most satisfying thing a person can do. Nevertheless, I’m sad to say that many Christians are fearful of ridicule from others – especially from the “Brethren” and the Pastors of their very own congregations!

Yesterday I stopped by Costco to buy a pair of shorts; the price was right, so I bought two. At the checkout was an uppity lady in her mid-forties, and her helper was an older East Indian woman. After a little back and forth, I laughingly told the woman I thought she was from New York by her attitude. And she fired back, “YOU NAILED IT!” While she was making change, I fished out my card and then added, “Your helper is a Hindu.” The woman looked up and nodded yes. I handed the clerk my card after she handed me back my change. “Are you a prophet?” she asked with furrowed brow, but without any sense of condensation or condemnation.

I replied matter-of-factly, “No, I’m not – but I write about the prophetic word as well as world events that are confirming what they predicted to happen in the Bible.”

“Oh really, wow!” she said as she examined the card thoroughly.

Then I handed a card to her co-worker, and after she examined it, the older Hindu woman said, “So you are a Jinn?” (My card reads Jim Towers.)

“No, I am JIM.”

Then she looked at me askance as if she was unsure. Incidentally, a “Jinn “is a spiritual being in ancient Hindu folklore.

Approaching strangers with my cards is most gratifying in knowing I’m doing the right thing in proclaiming the Gospel to others, like Jesus commanded us to do. I leave the discipleship part to the churches. Time’s a‘wasting, and I just don’t have time to undertake that too.

A Soul Anchored in the Storm :: By Joe Hawkins

“When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
‘It is well, it is well with my soul.’”

There’s something profoundly prophetic about a peace that defies circumstances. In a world rocked by chaos—wars, natural disasters, deception, and moral collapse—how can one declare “It is well”? The answer lies not in the absence of sorrow but in the presence of Christ. Peace “like a river” is not stagnant—it flows. And just as a river carves its way through the land, so the peace of God carves through the hardest of seasons, creating a path of calm in the heart of the believer. As sorrows crash like sea billows—economic uncertainty, persecution, the growing shadow of the beast system—we are reminded that biblical peace isn’t circumstantial; it’s rooted in the unchanging character of God.

The Apostle Paul echoed this same assurance when he declared, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am” (Philippians 4:11). This hymn, penned in the aftermath of unthinkable loss, is a battle cry for every Watcher and Warrior in these last days. Whatever comes—economic collapse, societal decay, or prophetic upheaval—may we too say, “It is well.”

“Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.”

The world is increasingly under satanic influence, and the Church is feeling the blows. The enemy is buffeting believers through apostasy, confusion, compromise, and persecution. The attacks are personal and prophetic. Revelation 12 reminds us that Satan is the accuser, warring against the saints. Yet, in the thick of the battle, this stanza reminds us that the blood of Jesus is not only our covering—it is our assurance.

Prophetically, we are nearing a time when deception will become so great that only those truly anchored in Christ will withstand the storm (Matthew 24:24). As trials come—and they will—we hold fast to the reality that Christ has already seen our helpless estate. He didn’t just pity us; He acted. The Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8), and His shed blood is our line in the sand against the schemes of the devil.

This isn’t just theology—it’s warfare. The blood of Christ is both shield and sword. Let that blessed assurance control your thoughts in the midnight hour.

“My sin—oh, the bliss of this glorious thought—
My sin, not in part, but the whole,
Is nailed to His Cross, and I bear it no more;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!”

This verse echoes Romans 8:1—“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” In a time when the world is calling evil good and good evil, many are weighed down by guilt, confusion, and shame. But those in Christ walk in freedom—not because they are sinless, but because their sin has been dealt with in full.

And not just in part—the whole! In a generation obsessed with self-improvement and moral relativism, the Cross still stands as the only remedy for sin. The prophetic significance is striking: when Christ cried “It is finished,” He didn’t mean the end of His suffering only, but the beginning of our deliverance. This verse is an anthem of completed redemption, the blessed hope that we will never face the wrath of God (1 Thessalonians 5:9).

As we await His return, we praise—not panic. Even in the face of growing wickedness, we praise because our debt has been paid in full. That changes everything.

“For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live;
If dark hours about me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.”

The final stanza takes us to the end of the race. Whether we face death or the rapture, the believer has peace—not because of ease, but because of presence. Christ with us in life; Christ with us in death. The same Jesus who walked with the disciples in the storm (Mark 4:39) still whispers to us today, “Peace, be still.”

As darkness gathers across the earth and the tribulation draws near, the faithful remnant need not fear. Even in the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for He is with us (Psalm 23:4). We are not promised the absence of darkness, but the presence of Light within it.

To live is Christ. And to die is gain (Philippians 1:21). For the believer, the prophetic timeline ends not in despair, but in glory. When the Trumpet sounds, our peace will become sight. Until then, may His whispered peace steady our steps.
