Rejoice :: By Daymond Duck

Following the selection of His original 12 disciples, and early in His earthly ministry, Jesus selected 70 men and sent them forth two by two from city to city to prepare the way for His ministry and a great harvest of souls (Luke 10:1-20).

He warned these men that they would encounter opposition, hardship, and danger.

He empowered them to work miracles (heal the sick, etc.) in cities where they were received and instructed them to tell people, “The Kingdom of God is nigh unto you.”

He told them a Day of Judgment is coming, and the judgment of God will fall on those that reject the kingdom message, because accepting or rejecting Jesus is the same as accepting or rejecting the God (Jehovah) that sent Jesus.

The seventy went forth and returned rejoicing that even the devils (demons) obeyed them in the name of Jesus.

Jesus revealed that the obedience of demons in the name of Jesus is a foretaste of Satan being kicked out of heaven (at the middle of the Tribulation Period: Rev. 12:7-12) and the ultimate victory and deliverance of those that trust Him.

He said unto the 70, “Rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”

Christians that are concerned about what may happen in the coming weeks and months (forced vaccinations, tracking everyone, transition to a digital currency, persecution, losing their stuff, etc.) should focus on spiritual things.

Instead of rejoicing over your earthly freedoms, successes, etc. (in reality, gifts from God), rejoice:

  • Because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus for the sins of those that believe and put their trust in Him.
  • Because your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life in heaven.
  • Because your sins have been forgiven, and you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit.
  • Because you have eternal life, and nothing will be able to separate you from the love of God.
  • Because you will not experience even one minute of the Tribulation Period.
  • Because Satan’s power and influence on earth will soon end.
  • Because God will avenge the harm that the lost inflict on His people.
  • Because you will return to earth with Jesus at His Second Coming, and you will reign with Him during His Millennial Kingdom on earth.

Here are current events that seem to indicate that it is getting close.

One, concerning world government: things are happening that need to be constantly watched.

To review and set the stage for the latest:

  • First, there were two globalist meetings in Jan. 2023 (The WHO International Health Regulations Review Committee, IHRRC, and the WEF Annual Meeting) that submitted proposals (proposed International Health Regulations—called IHRs or global laws) to be voted on at the upcoming WHO Assembly Meeting on May 21-30, 2023. The IHRs are designed, if passed by a simple majority, to give the WHO Director-General medical and scientific sovereignty over every nation and person on earth.
  • Second, in mid-Feb. 2023, it was reported that the Biden administration was planning to sign a legally binding document with the WHO Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) at an upcoming meeting (Feb. 27-Mar. 3, 2023) that would require the U.S. to obey WHO IHRs (global laws) without the approval of Congress or voters in the U.S.

Here is the latest information that I have (and I don’t pretend to know or rightly understand everything that is happening or that what I read is right):

  • First, I know that the INB meeting did occur (Feb. 27-Mar.3, 2023), but I do not know if Biden signed an agreement that would require the U.S. to obey the WHO IHRs (global laws). Another INB meeting has been scheduled for Apr. 17-20, 2023.
  • Second, on Feb. 28, 2023, Republicans in the Senate warned that they will oppose efforts by the Biden administration to require the U.S. to obey WHO IHR’s unless the U.S. Senate approves it.
  • Third, on Mar. 1, 2023, it was reported that if the WHO IHR’s are approved at the WHO Assembly Meeting, May 21-30, world leaders will be given a short period of time to put them into effect.
  • Fourth, on Mar. 3, 2023, it was reported that there are two sets of legislation pending in the House of Representatives to stop the U.S. from surrendering to this WHO power grab.

Here is a link to an excellent article on this issue.

https://thenewamerican.com/who-declares-war-on-sovereignty-time-to-get-out/?mc_cid=518e299d1f&mc_eid=551904ee4c

For whatever it is worth, on Mar. 2, 2023, Bill Wilson, KIN Senior Analyst for Koenig’s Eye News wrote:

  • Revelation 13:7 says, “And it was given unto him [the Beast] to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” Other than military force, there is no greater power than a hold on people’s healthcare. This grip can extend to travel, food, housing, civil rights, and more if people do not comply with the mandates. We saw it firsthand with COVID where people were denied travel and access to restaurants. They were not even allowed to work if they were not vaccinated with an unproven, ineffective, and unsafe “vaccine” that is now causing thousands of deaths and health problems. Biden must be stopped in this unconstitutional abdication of sovereignty. WHO’s your daddy? God or man?

If this WHO power grab is not stopped, the world will soon enter the worst seven years ever (including the Flood, WWI, WWII, etc.).

People will have to choose whether they will follow God (our heavenly Father) or man, and their life will be on the line.

Two, concerning world government: on Mar. 4, 2023, former Pres. Trump delivered the keynote speech at the prestigious Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) meeting in Washington, DC.

Among other things, Trump said, if he is elected president:

  • He will obliterate the New World Order.
  • He will totally obliterate the Deep State.
  • He will fire the unelected bureaucrats and shadow forces who have weaponized our justice system like it has never been weaponized before.
  • He will put the people back in charge of America again.

(My opinion: Bible prophecy must be fulfilled. I will not say it is not possible for prayer and a different president in the White House to slow down the New World Order, but it cannot be stopped.)

(More: There is no telling what the unelected Deep State will do to keep Trump from winning. A pastor friend of mine who is very astute on Bible prophecy believes Trump’s opposition is a sign that he won’t be elected again because Bible prophecy must be fulfilled.)

(More: Trump warned that if Republicans don’t win in 2024, the U.S. is probably gone. As far as I am concerned, he was politicking, but aside from that, I believe he is right. The Deep State is determined to take America down and bring in the New World Order.)

(More: Former vice Pres. Al Gore is a member of the Board of Trustees.)

Three, concerning reprobate minds: in Canada, on Mar. 1, 2023, it was reported that most of the provinces of Canada have insurance that covers transition surgeries for the gender confused at taxpayer expense, but Canadian Prime Min. Trudeau wants to expand the coverage to include voice feminization and breast augmentation.

It is too early to tell if this will be approved, but some ask why is it necessary for taxpayers to pay for gays to change their voice or enlarge their breasts.

Four, concerning deceit and corruption in the U.S. government: on Mar. 2, 2023, The Gateway Pundit reported that a Rasmussen Poll found that more than 60% of likely voters believe the Jan. 6, 2021, riots were provoked by government agents.

Some Democrats in the House and Senate (Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer, to name two) are going ballistic over House Speaker McCarthy’s decision to release video of the riots to Tucker Carlson, but 80% of likely voters (including many Democrats) believe it is important for the public to see all the videos.

If truth and justice have prevailed by locking some citizens up with no hope of release, why are some Democrat leaders opposing the release of the videos?

Five, concerning deceit in the U.S. government and tracking everyone: on Feb. 28, 2023, in testimony before a House Select Subcommittee, Dr. Marty Makary, Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, said, “The greatest perpetrator of misinformation during the (Covid) pandemic was the U.S. government.”

Makary cited a long list of government false statements, an authoritative study that refuted some of them, experts that refuted some of them, and the report noted that the release of Twitter Files verifies that the U.S. government deliberately tried to silence experts on many of the issues.

It is important to understand that the government that was perpetrating false information wants to keep records on every U.S. citizen and control their life.

Six, concerning the moral decline of America, Rachel Levine is Pres. Biden’s Assistant Sec. of Health.

Levine is the father of two boys, a biological man that divorced his wife, started wearing a bra and identifying as a woman.

Everyone knows that a man does not become a woman by growing long hair and cross-dressing, but someone with a reprobate mind might think he can.

Anyway, on June 6, 2023, a new children’s book will be released that is titled She Persisted: Rachel Levine.

The book will promote Levine as an inspirational figure that cross-dresses and rose against the odds.

It will be advertised as suitable for children that are 6-9 years old.

Seven, concerning the moral decline of America, on Mar. 2, 2023, Patrick Wojahn, the gay mayor of Maryland, Ind., was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography.

Wojahn once noted that Pete Buttigieg (former mayor of South Bend, Ind., and now Pres. Biden’s gay Sec. of Transportation) is his mentor.

Wojahn said he attended a meeting with Buttigieg at the White House during the Obama administration (some think Obama is gay).

Wojahn said, “I now serve in a leadership role as vice chair of city livability and bicycling in part due to his (Buttigieg’s) mentorship.”

I must admit that I don’t know what the vice chair of city livability and bicycling does, and I think this is the first time I have heard of that position in government, but I guess that is one of the more important things the U.S. Sec. of Transportation has worked on.

Eight, concerning reprobate minds and a global moral decline: this week, a priest in Maryland said, “A blanket of insanity has fallen upon the earth.”

He referenced an all-out assault against the unborn and those who defend them, the push for transgender mutilations of the young, the use of puberty-blocking drugs on innocent young children, the sexualization of children through drag shows and pornography in public libraries and schools, and the fact that prime-time TV recently depicted and celebrated Satan worship.

He rightly declared that this all-out satanic assault is coming from the White House and the president’s entire political party.

(My opinion: Killing and mutilating children, same-sex marriage, etc., are part of the globalist agenda to reduce the population of the earth. Satan’s influence over many of our leaders is so strong that the FBI has been weaponized against pro-lifers, the FBI has created a “threat tag” for pro-lifers, some pro-lifers have been arrested for silently praying outside abortion clinics, etc. It is the U.S. government’s persecution of citizens for legally praying, speaking, etc.).

Nine, concerning lukewarmness and a falling away in the Church at the end of the age: since 1686, Church members and citizens in Denmark have celebrated The Great Prayer Day on the fourth Friday after Easter.

Businesses close, and there are no tax collections on that day.

Anyway, Denmark’s parliament has canceled The Great Prayer Day because they want the taxes that can be collected by keeping the businesses open.

(My opinion: With more prayer, Denmark might not need the taxes.)

Ten, concerning the Antichrist and False Prophet requiring a Mark in the right hand or forehead to track all buying and selling during the Tribulation Period: on Mar. 5, 2023, an article in The Expose by Rhoda Wilson says:

  • “WEF supports the ‘merging of man and machine,’ or transhumanism, and its Fourth Industrial Revolution aims to use wearable and implantable technology to snoop on your thoughts and launch a digital dictatorship. Once implemented, a digital dictatorship will be almost impossible to escape from; one way to stop it is to not comply with or utilize these technologies.”

According to the Bible, those that take the Mark of the Beast in their right hand or forehead during the Tribulation Period will not be saved, and they will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Rev. 14:9-10).

Eleven, concerning lawlessness: theft is one of six sins that will be prevalent during the Tribulation Period that people will not repent of (Rev. 9:20-21).

On Mar. 4, 2023, it was reported that the last two Walmart stores in Portland, Oregon, will soon close because of increased shoplifting and the failure of government officials to do anything about it.

Other Portland companies that have also closed for the same reason include Raind PDX, Nike, and Cracker Barrel.

Hundreds of people are losing their jobs while their government refuses to act.

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

How Do You Approach Jesus? :: By Nathele Graham

Jesus was well-known in Israel. Some people admired Him, while others vehemently rejected Him and wanted to kill Him. Oddly, those who despised Him the most were the ones who should have loved Him. The religious leaders never approached Jesus without trying to silence Him. They were very critical of Him, and they didn’t like the fact that He didn’t kowtow to them but stood against their self-righteous pride and rule over the people. These men served their own self-interest and didn’t honor God. There was one Pharisee who decided to humbly approach Jesus and seek truth.

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him” (John 3:1-2).

I like Nicodemus. He didn’t go along with his fellow Pharisees and despise Jesus but went to Him to find out truth. Jesus spoke with Nicodemus and told him to be born again.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

Because this visit was recorded by John, we learn a great truth. When we are born into this life, we have a sin nature that will always cause us to stumble, but when we truly come to Jesus and are born again, we are a new creation in Christ. We will always have the sin nature, but from that point on, God sees us through the blood which Jesus shed for our salvation. We need to submit to Christ and turn from lust of the flesh and our own prideful desires. We need to walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit” (John 3:6).

This conversation changed Nicodemus’ life. He was there with Joseph of Arimathea to bury Jesus after the crucifixion. Joseph was a Pharisee who secretly followed Christ.

There were many women who approached Jesus, and He was always kind and gentle toward them. One day, Jesus and the disciples were going to Galilee and traveled through Samaria. Near a city named Sychar, He sat on Jacob’s well and sent his disciples to town to buy some food. It was noon and time to eat. That’s when a woman came to draw water. Most women drew water early in the day when it was cool, but this woman came after the others were gone. She was a woman of Samaria, and He was Jewish. There should have been no contact between them, but Jesus asked her for water.

“Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans” (John 4:9).

Jesus told her that if she had known who He was, she would have asked Him for water and He would have given her living water. The conversation went on, and she was a little flirty with Him. He kept talking about the living water she could get from Him, and the woman finally said she wanted the living water. Jesus knew of her sins but wanted her to find salvation. He told her to call her husband to come to the well, and she said she had no husband. Jesus knew she was living a sinful life but didn’t condemn her. He told her she was right when she said she had no husband.

“For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly” (John 4:18).

God has established marriage to be a lasting covenant between a man and a woman, and “living together” isn’t condoned by God. The conversation went on, and the woman ended up recognizing that Jesus was the Messiah. This woman of Samaria was much more perceptive than the Scribes and Pharisees who should have known who He was. This woman went to the city and told the men, “Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” (John 4:29). The men of the city came to Jesus and believed. Because the woman was brave enough to approach Him, she met Jesus and brought others to Him.

Another woman who approached Jesus had been ill for twelve years. She had spent all of her money on seeking medical help, but doctors couldn’t help her. She was in a crowd around Jesus when a man named Jairus approached Him. His daughter was dying, and he had faith that if Jesus would lay His hand upon her, the little girl would live. Jesus didn’t hesitate. He got up to follow the man and heal the girl. The woman who was ill knew she had to do something.

“For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole” (Mark 5:28). She had faith but wasn’t a show-off; she quietly touched the hem of His robe and was healed. “And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said Who touched my clothes?” (Mark 5:30). The woman was scared but fell down before Him and confessed that she had touched Him. Jesus wasn’t angry but full of compassion. “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace and be whole of thy plague” (Mark 5:34).

We should never be afraid to approach Jesus in faith.

Then He went to where the little girl had died. There were mourners making quite a noise, but Jesus told them the girl wasn’t dead. “And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise” (Mark 5:40-41).

Can you imagine the emotions of the parents when their daughter came back to life? Only Jesus has conquered death for all who believe in Him. Approach Him today in faith and humbly ask for salvation.

The next ones to approach Him were two blind men. “And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us” (Matthew 9:27). He asked them if they believed He could heal them, and they said yes. “Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you” (Matthew 9:29). It was their faith that allowed Jesus to heal them. They asked Him for mercy, and He showed them mercy.

As I read of the many different ways that people approached Jesus, I see that He always had compassion on anyone who needed His compassion. How do you approach Him? Are you one who demands that Jesus give you everything you want? Scripture gives many accounts of Jesus providing for needs, but I don’t see where He gave power and riches to people. We can look to the life of the Apostle Paul to see that Jesus meets our needs but doesn’t always give us what we think we need. Paul had something that troubled him greatly. He approached God about removing the problem.

“And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure” (2 Corinthians 12:7).

Paul was a man who lived by faith and served God every day. He established many congregations and wrote letters that edify us today. He could have been filled with pride over his accomplishments but understood the thorn in his flesh was to keep him humble. He didn’t like it but didn’t get angry with God for not taking the problem away.

“For this thing I besought the Lord thrice that it might depart from me” (2 Corinthians 12:8).

What was this thorn? Scholars have debated that question for centuries. Nobody truly knows, but we can learn a lesson from this. Not all troubles will depart just because we pray. We need to understand that God is sovereign.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

That’s the best way to approach God. Be humble, but make your petitions known to Him through prayer. His answer may be different than what you want, but He knows all things. He also knows what you will do if He gives you what you want. Will you use His healing to glorify Him, or will you believe you deserve all the material things you want? If you ask Him for a bigger house or more money, will you use it for His glory, or will you use it to puff yourself up to look important?

Paul’s attitude was one of submission and humility. “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10).

We need to be humble when we approach Jesus. James and John had to learn that lesson. “And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall desire” (Mark 10:35).

That sounds like a “name-it-and-and-claim-it” type of approach. That’s not a good way to approach Jesus. Jesus asked them what they wanted, and their request was very selfish and for their own glory.

“They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory” (Mark 10:37).

Jesus told them they had no idea what they were asking. To their minds, it was a simple request – lift us up above all the other disciples – but they didn’t understand what would be required of them to be so honored. Too often, we don’t see beyond our own selfish desires, then blame God for not showering us with all we ask of Him.

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (James 4:10).

Jesus knows what the future is and what we can handle. If we can’t pay the price of our wants, then He won’t give them to us. If our wants will ultimately harm us, He won’t answer our prayer. James and John would have a lot of persecution in their future, and James would be killed for his faith while John spent time in prison and on Patmos. They are with Jesus now, but are they sitting in places of honor? We won’t know until we are gathered Home.

Instead of asking Jesus to give you what you want, why not approach Him and ask Him what you can do to serve Him. After all, He has given His all for you.

God bless you all,

Nathele Graham
