Devilish Details in the Heart and Home :: By Candy Austin

Proverbs 14:1 “Every wise woman buildeth her house: But the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.”

It’s been said that “the devil is in the details,” and although decorating is a popular and beloved pastime, in my younger days, I didn’t realize that the devil could be in the details of decorating one’s home! From the time I visited a local Flea Market at the age of 14 and discovered the craft decor section, my vow was to someday decorate my whole house with such cuteness! Like primitive decor, country items such as glorious sunflowers, regal roosters, and peaceful milk cows. Guess one could say that Farmhouse was my style before it was even ‘a thing.’ The country song lyrics, “I was country when country wasn’t cool,” humorously plays in my head when thinking about this.

Proverbs 24:3-4 “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

Heart and Home have always been ‘my jam,’ just like the quote, “Home is where the Heart is,” which is true for many of us, I’m sure. Throughout my life, many people have complimented the way our house was decorated, and several family and friends have enlisted me to help them clean and decorate theirs over the years as well. As a matter of fact, just in recent months, a realtor lady ‘half-jokingly’ asked me to come over and decorate hers too! So, it’s no coincidence that some of our favorite shows to watch in our house are home improvement channels.

Apparently, we are not alone in this endeavor either, seeing how in recent years, it was estimated that about 94 million households tune in to just the same! This past summer, we visited a popular restaurant tied to some famous home improvement channel alums. After enjoying their delicious gourmet fare, we then decided to visit the adjacent gift shop next door. Unfortunately, upon perusing the nostalgic gift items and merchandise, we came across a cute vintage-looking bag with an inscription inside which said, “Global Citizen.” Shriek!

Proverbs 31:27 “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.”

Right away, my ‘spiritual alarm bells’ went off, but obviously not enough at the moment to refuse buying a glass pitcher there from our visit that day. Interestingly though, after bringing this and some other items from that place into our home, there was a ‘no joke paranormal incident’ that was experienced late one night soon after! This is when spiritual discernment alerted me to get rid of all the decor items in and around our house from that particular place, logo, and brand!

Also, not to mention seeing how their color scheme is, more often than not, ‘black and white,’ along with the same trend in the checkered floor pattern seen throughout many of their projects (a nod to possible involvement in secret societies and/or the occult, which is duality of both good and evil). Verdict is??? Well, after getting rid of all their items from our home, here we are several months later… and ‘wha-da-ya-know? No more late-night paranormal sleep-disturbing knocking-on-doors inside activity! Thank the Lord!

Things to remove from our homes and churches – Ministry of Truth (shoutingfromtherooftop.com)

Ever since 2019, there has been so much stuff purged from our house that was spiritually discerned through hours and hours of research on the topic of cleansing one’s home of occultic, demonic, and witchcraft items! Truth be told, many, if not most, decor items and things we are conditioned to bring into our homes are anti-God and occultic in nature! Oftentimes, we don’t even know or realize it because these items, signs, and symbols are so ingrained into our culture and are normalized to the point that it’s hard not to become desensitized and to be able to discern it without the Holy Spirit’s help and prompting in our lives!

What the Bible Says about Spiritually Cleansing Your House of Evil (bibleresources.org)

Let’s go back to the term ‘Global Citizen,’ shall we? At first glance, from a biblical standpoint, that statement sounds eerily like an end-time one which is described in Revelation, where we are told that there will be a one-world system. Needless to say, upon research, it was mortifying to know that this is an event that has been going on for quite a long while now. Apparently, there are festivals and concerts held every year celebrating this very movement!

U.N. Definition for Global Citizen: Global citizenship is the umbrella term for social, political, environmental, and economic actions of globally minded individuals and communities on a worldwide scale.

“Where have you been, hiding under a rock?” Well, if not following the lamestream media, fake news, and much of what is promoted in Hellywood movies and throughout mass televised brainwashing means hiding under a rock, then, ahem… yes, I have! So, due to our not paying attention to the fact that these ‘Global Citizen Festivals’ have been going on for the past several years, it is to say mortifying but at the same time not surprising that such end-time nefarious activity has been repeatedly held and is still going on.

Do Not Bring Any Detestable or Cursed Object Into Your Home – Jesus Truth Deliverance

Evidently, there are secret societies operating out there that are utterly wicked and who are the very ones running the show on much of what is happening in our world. And unless we have our spiritual eyes opened and are praying for God’s wisdom and discernment, we can be deceived through all of this demonic deception! Literally, we need to pray every day for God’s wisdom and discernment on what we allow into our eye gates, ear gates, minds, homes, lives, and really just every facet of our lives! Because like one ex-Satanist emphatically warned and said, “The devil plays for keeps!”

1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Throughout this article, several links are shared to sites found over the years of doing research on the topic of ‘purging one’s home of nefarious items.’ All we can say about our doing this is that it has made a huge difference in our spiritual growth and lives. It’s like once you get these ‘spiritually blinding things’ out of your way, home, and life, you can finally see things in new ways you never could before.

Plus, it is freeing in many more ways just to not follow the crowd, acting out monkey see, monkey do, being all the same exact cookie cutter shape, following the traditions of men, but instead get to finally break free from all the mind control and the societal mold that we have been put in and actually get to truly think for ourselves, even if for the first time since birth, as it were!

Deuteronomy 7:26 “Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.”

Yes, bringing cursed items into our homes and lives can make us a ‘cursed thing like it’! That is why it is important to be vigilant and aware of what we allow and bring in. Instead of Home being about material things, Home should really be about godly things. A place of comfort, solace, and worship of Almighty God! An environment that honors the Lord Jesus in all things! A safe haven from the ways of this evil world. A sanctuary to allow us to recharge with the Lord Christ from the hustle, bustle, and ways of this life. An abode that trains up children in the Lord God and in the way that they should go. A place of peace, godliness, love, and joy…. That is what a Home can and should be for all of us.

Proverbs 3:33 “The LORD’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.”

On this side of heaven, though, we know that no place on earth will ever be our ‘true home.’ For true believers, we know that our real home is with JESUS because ‘HE is our HOME.’ For now, as we bide our time waiting for our redemption, our job is to keep our lives pure so that we can be a vessel to be used by God to help bring others to Christ before these days of grace are over. Filtering every part of our lives through God’s Word and keeping ourselves free from idols is one of the many ways we can purify our homes and lives and be pleasing to Him.

Joshua 24:15 “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Love, Rational Thought, and The Devil :: By Jim Towers

Although it may seem impossible to love God, thinking, “Why is there so much evil in the world,” and “Where is God when I need Him,” if we search the scriptures carefully and thoughtfully, we will conclude that it is Satan who causes us so much woe. With him, rational thought is thrown out the window, and foolish thought creeps in to replace it. I mean, why would a person burn down his own neighborhood when things don’t go his way? In hot-headed frustration and anger, we destroy the very things that are made for our good, with no rational thought given to our plight. The devil tells us it’s the right thing to do. How foolish. Yet that happens all the time in this life.

We are told, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God, with all thine heart, soul, and mind and thy neighbor as thyself” in the Bible. Still, it isn’t easy to love God or your neighbor all the time, what with a loved one being taken away from us, our health and livelihood diminished, going hungry for a time, or being cheated or lied about. There are many other reasons to be disillusioned about the way life has treated us. This can give us reason to wander away from God. As diverse as these trials and tribulations are, we each have our cross to bear. And as bad as things appear to be, there are people worse off than us, many of which never deserved their lot in life, but that’s just life.

All too often, people that don’t deserve all the wealth and goodies they have seem to come out on top, but we must remember that Satan tempted Jesus with things, positions, and even kingdoms. So, it stands to reason that Satan will do the same with mankind and succeed. Playing Santa, Satan can grant us our fondest wishes. But oftentimes, we must mimic his tactics in doing so.

When we are tempted to cheat on our resumé, taxes, and spouses, we can be sure our sins will find us out, and eventually, we will face the consequences of our actions. But God isn’t the reason for anything bad that happens to us. Surprise! It is Satan, the evil one, the deceiver, the father of lies.

The Bible teaches that “All things work together for good to those who love God and are the called according to His purpose” As hard as it is to believe, it must be true if God said it, and so we must wait patiently for the end result to appear from the shadows of doubt. It may not happen until we die and go home to our heavenly rewards, and we have lost nothing in holding out for that hope.

How many times have we despaired of our lot in life, watching other less capable men grab the brass ring? Only when we reach a certain Christian maturity can we begin to see the final outcome of our short lives. If we have peace, rest, enough to eat, and a roof over our heads, it should be more than enough.

The fastest horse doesn’t always win the race, and maybe our focus on good and bad is, in some ways, twisted. Satan would have us believe that the things of this world are best for us when, in reality, they can often do us harm. A good example of this is the rock and rap stars that continue to die young, having lived the high life and all the goodies that life can offer.

Only when we mature as Christians can we rest assured that this life and all of its allurements are the antitheses of a quiet and settled life full of peace and security. No more groping for the brass ring, no more pining for things we don’t have, and with our feet firmly planted on the foundation Jesus Christ has already set. It is His foundational truths that keep us from the folly of depraved men who twist things around to where right is wrong, black is white, and men can have babies. How stupid is that?

Yet that is the world we now live in, a twisted and perverted ugly existence that, for many, is a way of life. Like brute animals, they take what isn’t theirs, kill one another, live in a drug-infused world, and don’t care who knows it.

More and more people boast about what they have and do, but one day all their sinfulness will come home to roost. Hopefully, they will repent since hell is forever.

Right now, at this very moment, the devil is beginning to gin things up, and the world is quaking with anarchy and chaos. Governments are toppling with people revolting and rioting in the streets. The one-world government spoken of in the Bible is being resisted on many fronts, but the time of tribulation is near, despite our resistance.

World war is looming on the horizon; we can begin to see the fulfillment of it stirring. We hope for the best, yet we know that the one-world government is an inevitability with all its ramifications. It’s waiting in the wings; the Word of God says so.

Everything the Bible said will happen at the end of the age is happening even as we speak.

Love is as scarce as hen’s teeth, rational thought is missing everywhere, and the devil has been driven from heaven to earth to wreak hell on the human population.

The best thing a person can do is to let go of all the things that possess them and repent (ask God for forgiveness and receive Christ into their life before it’s too late.)

Book Report

Political Prisoner is the title of this book written by the man who lived it, Paul Manafort (the former chairman of the Trump campaign in 2016). Until I read the book, I was unsure of how I felt about him. But after reading the first few pages, I realized that this was not a book about his character, nor his foibles. It was about political corruption at the highest levels of our government.

Having followed the political persecution of Donald J. Trump from its inception, I knew that the present political party in power was capable of doing anything and everything to discredit and prosecute anyone who is opposed to their way of thinking. And, true to form, they pursued this man and many others of the very things they themselves had done in the past and continue to do today.
