Since the Worldwide Web came onto the scene in the 1990s, and once we, the masses, started bringing computers into our houses, we were subsequently introduced to extreme and vast amounts of information! Such modern innovation and equipment that we never had in our clutches before! One which was now easily and readily available to us in the privacy of our own homes by using none other than our fingertips on something called a mouse and a keyboard, no less!

Talk about a WOW moment only those of us over a certain age would know by experiencing this era of the information age bombarding onto the world’s stage! Knowledge and information, generally speaking, which has surely since that time ‘as is prophetically detailed in the book of Daniel,’ has no doubt increased worldwide exponentially!

Information overload: how technology is changing the world – IE Driving Innovation

Case in point: just last week in our Sunday School class, several of us during a lesson in the book of Daniel, talked about how much watching tutorials on YouTube has helped us out at home and in our lives in many ways! For example, if one of us needs help installing a part onto our car or how to change out a heating element on an indoor furnace unit, we acknowledged how the plethora of useful information merely in the how-to videos have been so invaluable to us! Keep in mind, too, that just a short 30-35 years ago, this modern-day convenience a few clicks away was not even accessible to us!

The term, “And knowledge shall be increased,” in conjunction with the end times, may or may not be what we have been taught, heard, or even thought it was when it comes to this topic. Apparently, the commentaries from centuries ago suggest that this verse in Daniel is meant as ‘an increase in knowledge concerning bible prophecy’!

All I know for those of us and many others who have been led to and who have fortunately clued into/onto this site, our growth in the knowledge of Bible prophecy has undeniably and thankfully increased! And for such information, we are truly grateful, as Bible prophecy readies us for what is to come, and not only that, but it also makes us eager and more useful to do the Lord’s work during the here and now! So, either way, it’s a win/win on both sides of the proverbial coin, as they may say!

But, as Toffler observed, there certainly has been an exponential increase of technology, and it appears to be gaining ground even more quickly. So, what does the Bible have to say on this matter? Let’s take a look at the text in question, Daniel 12:4, “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel was told that the meaning of his prophecy would be sealed until the time of its fulfillment was near. The majority of Bible scholars through the ages have understood the last two phrases to reference the prophecy itself.

Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown’s critical commentary (published 1871) identified the meaning as scrutinizing every page to discover God’s purposes in the events foretold. John Darby translated the passage “many shall diligently investigate,” and Samuel Tregelles rendered it “many shall scrutinize the book from end to end.” Matthew Henry’s Commentary (c. 1700) said, “Then this hidden treasure shall be opened, and many shall search into it, and dig for the knowledge of it, as for silver. They shall run to and fro, to enquire out copies of it, shall collate them, and see that they be true and authentic. They shall read it over and over, shall meditate upon it, and run it over in their minds.”

Many passages of Scripture refer to what will happen at the end of the age, but no other passage seems to deal with increasing knowledge or technology as a sign for us. A greater sign is the advancement of the gospel, which Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:14 and which He commanded us to proclaim in Matthew 28:19-20. God’s goal for mankind isn’t to advance as far as we can or to know all we can discover, but rather that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). -End Source

Even though some of the churches we have attended in recent years actually have and do teach on Bible prophecy/rapture of the church, still, it never ceases to surprise me how many who are of ‘the Bride of Christ’ do not really know about, truly look forward to, or much less, diligently study on this beyond fascinating topic! A subject that exceeds our present comprehension but, in all aspects, should powerfully carry us away in our daily thoughts and deeds by going and being about our Father’s Business before we finally are seized and caught up to go home and be in the Lord Jesus’ embrace forever! Hallelujah!

1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Just recently, at a women’s gathering, I was asked to introduce myself, so I detailed how one of my tasks nowadays is that I am a writer on a website called Rapture Ready. Only to say this and find out that, once again, most or no one in this group knew about or even read any of the articles/information posted on this relevant to our times site! Guess many/most are simply just too busy ‘running to and fro,’ going about their earthly business, and trying to do their good works – maybe even to avoid stopping and facing what has become of this tumultuous and chaotic world and time that we are in, which is literally and metaphorically ‘full-blown on fire’ by now!

I’m sure we all can understand, too – I mean, I get it because the doom and gloom overwhelms me just as much as the next person! Nonetheless, it has been said that God’s Word states and repeats in some way, shape, or form, “Do not fear/Do not be afraid/ Fear not” about 365 times (which can and should be used and heeded by us for each day of the year)! Either way, if it is only stated once, twice, or even hundreds or thousands of times, it is clear that our Abba Father God does not want us to live in fear (be afraid, fearful, anxious, or worrisome) because ‘Who by worrying can add anything or any extra time onto their life’?

O’ we of little faith… why do we doubt?

Matthew 8:26 “And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”

Matthew 14:30-32 “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.”

As heartbreaking as it is to see our world plunging deeper into utter and gross darkness, as the trajectory has been in the last several years, we know that as Bible believers, Jesus told us these things would happen. Oftentimes, we would like to think that we are in control of the circumstances in our lives, but once things start flitting and spiraling out of our grasp, the hard truth that often tends to smack us in the face is that we are NOT in control of anything! Knowing and understanding this can become a blessing in disguise if we can allow ourselves to accept this blatant all-out fact.

Even though we live in a world that is veering off the rails in this fast and accelerating information age, with people everywhere running to and fro and with knowledge increasing exponentially, we can still have peace during these turbulent times! How, may you ask? Well, it is a peace, mind you, not as the world gives, but one that only Jesus Christ can give, which, as we read in His Holy Word, is a peace that surpasses all knowledge and understanding!

Philippians 4:7-9 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

As we continue to live on in this world for the time being and with the increased knowledge that this earth will soon be dissolved and passed away – not to mention while we are also prayerfully minding and lifting up the constant calamities and tragedies that are all around us to our Sovereign and Almighty Father – may we often come back to these precious words of our Savior which reminds us of His beautiful, encouraging, and powerful message specifically for us!

There is no greater ambition in this life than to be more like our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. Can you possibly imagine that one-third of the Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit would love us so much that He would agree to come to this earth for the sole purpose of making sure we had a pure pathway to eternal life in Paradise? John 10:18 tells us He was not forced to do so, but as for His human life, “No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father.”  (ESV – all emphasis is mine)

There are many verses in God’s love letter to us that give us reason to look to Jesus to be our Shepherd, Savior, Redeemer, and absolute best friend. Starting with Matthew 11:29-30, “Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

John 14:21; “Whoever has My commandment and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus said the two greatest commandments were, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it; you shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Our eternal Salvation is based entirely on what our Savior did for us on that cruel cross at Calvary, and we are not saved through any works or deeds that any human can come up with. That’s made very plain in Ephesians 2:8-9 which states we are saved by grace through faith, and not by any of our own works.

The absolute requirement we have is to receive and accept the free gift our Savior gave us, believe that He truly died for our sins, and that, as a human, He never committed even one sin of any kind. We believe He was raised from the dead on that third day to conquer sin and death for all who will call on Him to be their Savior (Romans 10:9-13).

Jesus told His disciples in John 15:12-13, “This is My commandment that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down His life for His friends.” He emphasized the commandments that He had given earlier and personalized them for His disciples. These apply to all who become a part of His precious flock.

For all who have Jesus in their hearts as their Savior, Paul tells us in Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Going further to Romans 8:8-9, “Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you.”

Paul explains in Romans 8:11 that “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Jesus explained this in John 14:16; “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper to be with you forever.” This is the Holy Spirit, who is also referred to as the “Restrainer” in 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7.

Paul further tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17-19, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”

In 1 John 2:2-6, “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not ours only but also the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. Whoever says, ‘I know Him’ but does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which He walked.”

Finally, in 1 John 3:2-3, “Beloved, we are God’s children now and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who thus hopes in Him purifies himself as He is pure.”

There are those who would say that Jesus could not possibly love everyone. They do not grasp that our Savior truly loved everyone then and loves everyone today for our immortal souls. There were actions of many that He did not like, such as all that the religious leaders of His day did to twist and tweak the perfect word of God. He still was ready to save them if they had repented and would have called on Him to be their eternal Redeemer.

Our Savior knew that more would accept the ways of the world than would accept Him (Matthew 7:13-14). However, the Romans 10:13 verse ends the A-B-Cs with, “All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

In that regard, I would like to end with an “Invitational Hymn” that was written by Fannie Crosby. It’s appropriately titled “More Like Jesus.”

1.) More like Jesus would I be; let My Savior dwell with me. Fill my soul with peace and love; make me gentle as a dove. More like Jesus while I go, pilgrim in this world below; poor in Spirit would I be; let my Savior dwell in me.

2.) If He hears the raven’s cry, if His ever watchful eye marks the sparrows when they fall, surely He will hear my call. He will teach me how to live, all my sinful thoughts forgive; pure in heart I still would be; let my Savior dwell in me.

3.) More like Jesus when I pray; more like Jesus day by day. May I rest me by His side where the tranquil waters glide. Born of Him through grace renewed, by His love my will subdued. Rich in faith I still would be; let my Savior dwell in me.

For all who will receive, accept, and call on Jesus today, your eternal residence will be with Him in Paradise in a home prepared for us by Him personally (John 14:1-3).

For those who take their last breath on this earth without Jesus, Revelation 20:11-15 will be their forever destiny. No other options exist, no matter what any false prophet will tell you.

God loves all of us (John 3:16-18) and has given us all the information we need to be with Him forever. It’s in the true versions of the Holy Bible. He will force no one to accept His Son but will gladly add anyone who does to the Savior’s precious flock. No one has sinned so greatly that the blood of Jesus cannot reach them and cover their sins.

It’s a free-will choice that only you can make for yourself. Choose wisely – Choose Jesus today!
