In the Old Testament, we read that King David’s army included the children of Issachar, who were men who had an understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do (I Chron. 12:32).
In the New Testament, we read that “we have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth into a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (II Pet. 1:19).
We also read that “all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (II Tim. 3:16);
We also read that “prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (II Pet. 1:21).
I believe these verses are saying God used men who excelled in their relationship with Him to write the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation.
God was the revealer, and they were the secretaries.
I have often said the Scriptures reveal God’s will for our lives.
All Scripture, including the prophetic Scriptures, were given by Him.
God wants people to understand the times so they will know what to do.
People would do well (be wise) to pay attention to them.
I want to encourage leaders to understand the times so His people can know what to do.
Here are some recent current events that seem to indicate that time is short.
One, concerning false accusers at the end of the age: during his confirmation hearing for U.S. Sec. of Defense, Pete Hegseth was viciously attacked for past moral lapses – some that he admitted and some that he said were false – but he prevailed and actually gained some very important support for his confirmation.
During his opening statement, Hegseth boldly confirmed his faith.
Hegseth said:
- “Thank you to my incredible wife Jennifer, who has changed my life and been with me throughout this entire process. I love you, sweetheart, and I thank God for you.
- And as Jenny and I pray together each morning, all glory — regardless of the outcome — belongs to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His grace and mercy abound each day. May His will be done.”
Two, concerning an increase in knowledge at the end of the age: on Jan. 15, 2025, it was reported that China attracted global attention by demonstrating a CASBOT 1 robot (nicknamed Wednesday) at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show.
The computer in CASBOT 1 can perform 550 trillion operations per second.
“Wednesday” has advanced sensors that allow it to run, jump, do certain repetitive human tasks, and more.

Three, concerning world government: on Jan. 15, 2025, on The Common Sense Show, Dave Hodges posted a short video titled “The WEF, UN, WHO, Bilderberg, et al., Are Dead in The Water.”
Hodges said, “Donald Trump is getting us out of the WHO; soon we are going to be out of the IMF, something I am not at liberty to talk about, but I am telling you this financial reset is coming. I will leave it there. A couple of more days, we will be putting this out …
(My opinion: I have often said the U.S. should leave these globalist organizations. Whether this happens or not I don’t know, But I do know that world government is coming. I believe we are close; the globalist goal is 2030 or sooner if possible; Ten Kings – leaders – will be given power before the Antichrist confirms the covenant, the Rapture will take place before the Antichrist rises to power, and the U.S. will surrender its sovereignty to the Antichrist’s world government. I do know that the Restrainer is still working, and He is probably impacting Trump’s policies. But, when the Restrainer is removed, world government will move forward at warp speed.)

Four, concerning a global economic collapse during the Tribulation Period, at his confirmation hearing on Jan. 16, 2025, Pres. Trump’s nominee for Treasury Sec.,
Scott Bessent told the U.S. Senate:
- Americans are barreling towards an economic crisis at year’s end.
- Americans will face the largest tax increase in history, a crushing 4 trillion tax hike.
- The U.S. will be facing an economic calamity.
Outgoing Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen disagrees.
(My opinion: I don’t know who is right, but I believe a U.S. economic collapse would trigger a global economic collapse, and that will be after the Rapture.)
Five, on Jan. 14-15, several world leaders and influencers gathered at Mar-a-Lago to pray for America, Pres. Trump, the peace of Jerusalem, and to worship God.
One of the main prayer concerns was to petition God that the Trump administration will not attempt to divide the land of Israel.
During two days of prayer and worship, the group also prayed for other nations, leaders, people, and the release of the kidnapped hostages that Hamas is holding.
Six, concerning the Abraham Accords, which may be a stepping stone to a covenant of peace with many in the Middle East: on Jan. 15, 2025, it was reported that Trump said his incoming administration would look to further the Abraham Accord agreements following the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Seven, concerning a potential ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas: on Jan. 15, 2025, on Fox News, Trump’s Incoming National Security Advisor said:
- The Trump administration will support renewed Israeli military action against Hamas in Gaza if the terrorist group violates the terms of the ceasefire.
- We’ve made it very clear to the Israelis, and I want the people of Israel to hear me on this—if they need to go back in, we’re with them.
- If Hamas doesn’t live up to the terms of this agreement, we are with them.
- Hamas is not going to continue as a military entity and it certainly is not going to govern Gaza.
Eight, on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, it was reported that a ceasefire and hostage release agreement, which is still in the final stages of approval with Israeli officials, is set to go into effect on Sunday, the day before Trump is inaugurated as the 47th President of the U.S.
(Note: Implementation of phase I of the agreement is set to begin on Sunday, but it is a three-phase agreement that will not be completed for at least six weeks.)
Nine, on Jan. 16, 2025, just hours after it was reported that a ceasefire agreement had been reached, a senior Hamas official promised that Hamas would attack Israel again in the future.
(Note: Muslims believe it is okay to lie if the lie advances their goal of taking over the world.)
Ten, concerning the ceasefire agreement: on Jan. 17, 2025, Joel Rosenberg (editor-in-chief of All Israel News and All Arab News), asked, “Why is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreeing to a deal that provides so many painful and costly concessions to Hamas, even at the risk of far-right members of his government quitting and risking his coalition’s collapse?”
Rosenberg’s response to his own question was,”
Two reasons:
- First, Netanyahu wants all of our hostages back without surrendering to Hamas, as do 70% of the Israeli people.
- Second, Netanyahu has incoming President Donald J. Trump’s personal and public assurances and that of Trump’s most senior advisors – that the new U.S. administration will fully back Israel in crushing Hamas and never allow the terror group to rule Gaza again.

Eleven, concerning world government and tracking all buying and selling: according to Leo Hohmann on Jan. 14, 2025,
- The United Nations is calling on governments around the world to fight climate change and other “emergencies” by mandating biometric digital ID systems, giving governments worldwide the ability to tag and track the masses in their every move.
- Digital ID systems that have already been implemented in other countries are typically tied to the financial system, allowing the government to track one’s spending habits as well as their movement.
Twelve, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog, on Jan. 17, 2025, Russia and Iran signed their long-awaited agreement that (according to Russia’s Foreign Min.) will confirm the parties’ desire for closer cooperation in the field of defense and interaction in the interests of peace and security at the regional and global levels.
Thirteen, concerning the rebuilding of Gaza, on Jan. 17, 2025, Pres.-Elect Trump’s nominee to be U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, said,
- The responsibility of rebuilding Gaza is the responsibility of the people who messed this up, and that was Hamas, funded by the Iranians.
- If Iran and Hamas have enough money to build weapons and tunnels, they should have some money to rebuild and aid civilians.
Fourteen, concerning God blessing those that bless Israel, and cursing those that curse Israel: on Jan. 20, 2025, Pres. Trump rescinded the sanctions that the Biden administration imposed on Israeli settler groups in the West Bank (Judea and Samaria).

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
