Not Surprised :: By Daymond Duck

Several things appeared on websites and in the news this week that may have surprised some people that don’t know anything about Bible prophecy, but they didn’t surprise most of those that study the subject.

Prophecy students were not surprised because we have been told to watch for certain things; we can see them beginning to come to pass, etc.

For example, one article said Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman recently met with a group of Israelis in Cairo, Egypt.

This meeting may have surprised some people because Saudi Arabia and Israel don’t have diplomatic relations, but it didn’t surprise some students of Bible prophecy because the two nations will settle their differences and sign a peace treaty at the end of the age.

Also, be aware that representatives from five Arab nations recently met with Israelis at the White House to discuss peace between Israel and the PA.

A second article said, “The PA leadership is terrified that many of the Arab countries will support the Trump plan, thus abandoning their Palestinian brothers.”

This probably surprised some people because several Arab countries have supported the PA with millions of dollars every year for several years, but the PA position is deceitful.

The Arabs haven’t abandoned the PA. The PA has slowly moved away from the Arabs and toward the Iranians (the Iranians are Asians not Arabs).

The millions of dollars in Arab support have bought very little PA loyalty.

Iranian proxies are killing Arabs in Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, etc., but the PA has been increasing its ties with Iran.

A third article said, “A number of Arab countries have advised Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to accept whatever US President Donald Trump proposes in the context of his long-awaited Middle East peace plan.”

This probably surprised some people because the Arabs are upset with Pres. Trump for declaring that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

But the Arabs need U.S. help to stop the development of Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

They are more concerned about the survival of their Sunni religion and nations than they are about the PA demand for Jerusalem.

A fourth article said Turkey, Russia and Iran will hold a summit in Istanbul in April. Why? To discuss what to do about Syria and other regional matters (Israel).

This might surprise some people because Turkey is a member of NATO, but it doesn’t surprise students of Bible prophecy because they know that these three nations will be allies during the Battle of Gog and Magog.

A fifth article quoted Prime Min. Netanyahu as saying, “At the moment, there is no concrete American peace plan on the table.”

This may have surprised some people because we keep reading that Pres. Trump’s Peace Proposal will come out soon, he is ready to present it, etc.

But it is not really surprising, because it has been reported that when Pres. Trump’s Peace Proposal does come out it will have been pre-approved (by Arab nations, but not PA).

Getting pre-approval in the Arab nations on some issues has been thorny.

This also explains why some PA officials are accusing some Arab nations of colluding with Pres. Trump to impose a peace treaty on the PA.

A sixth article concerns Iran’s claim that it has become too powerful for the U.S. and Israel to attack her.

This may surprise some people, but not students of Bible prophecy. Gog and his allies (Iran and others) will think that they are powerful enough to destroy Israel and get away with it.

A seventh article is like the last one: Vladimir Putin and Russia are beginning to look invincible.

This may surprise some people because they thought Russia was done with when the Soviet Union broke up.

But it doesn’t surprise students of prophecy because they know that even if Gog and his allies are more powerful than Israel, they are not more powerful than Israel’s God; and they are headed for an overwhelming defeat.

In fact, the more powerful they become, the greater the glory that God will receive.

This is the point: Things are changing fast in the Middle East. The changes are taking the nations closer to the prophesied events; but instead of coming in at a snail’s pace, they are coming in like a flood (or birth pangs).

Disturbing Reports :: By Daymond Duck

In the last week of February and the first three days of March 2018, several supposedly reliable foreign newspapers ran stories on Pres. Trump’s upcoming Peace Proposal.

Be aware that a White House spokesperson quickly dismissed the stories as rumors, and they may be rumors, but it is also a well-established fact that members of the Trump administration have discussed Pres. Trump’s Peace Proposal with the UN Security Council, the EU, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and others.

To be honest, it is too early to positively know if we are hearing facts, or rumors, or rumors based on facts. But a comparison of these stories to what the Bible says is disturbing if they are true.

Notice these five things:

One, it has been reported that Pres. Trump intends to recognize the creation of a Palestinian State with part of Jerusalem as its capital on the condition that East Jerusalem is administered by an international custodian (presumably the UN).

This would divide Jerusalem, but no less than God Himself said He will drag the nations into the Battle of Armageddon for dividing His land and scattering His people (Joel 3:2).

This would also put East Jerusalem under the control of Gentiles [an international custodian], and the Bible teaches that the Holy City [Jerusalem] will be trodden down by Gentiles during the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation Period (Rev. 11:2).

Two, it has been reported that some of the Palestinian areas of Judea and Samaria will be included in the gradual creation of a Palestinian state. There are Jewish settlements in some of those areas which will have to be dismantled.

Lest we forget, Israel was pushed to give Gaza to the Palestinians. Then, the Palestinians used Gaza as a base to launch rockets and terrorist attacks against Israel.

There is no reason to believe that it will be any different this time other than the fact that the Palestinians will be closer to the Israeli population centers and they will have many more areas to launch their rockets and terrorist attacks from.

Notice the term “gradual creation of a Palestinian state.” The covenant that the Antichrist will confirm that begins the Tribulation Period will be for seven years (Dan. 9:27). One must wonder if the word “gradual” means seven years.

Be aware that the Bible teaches that the Jews in Judea will be at risk during the last half of the Tribulation Period. Jesus told the Jews in Judea to flee into the mountains when the Antichrist defiles the Temple at the Tribulation Period mid-point (Matt. 24:15-16; Dan. 9:27).

Also, know that dismantling Jewish settlements in Palestinian areas will be the same thing as scattering God’s people, and that is a second reason for the Battle of Armageddon that is mentioned above (Joel 3:2).

Three, it has been reported that Pres. Trump will use a conference in an Arab country (perhaps Cairo, Egypt) to release and push his Peace Proposal.

Recall that the Apostle Paul said that when they say “Peace and Safety” then sudden destruction cometh upon them (I Thess. 5:3).

Pres. Trump’s Peace Proposal is not the covenant that will be confirmed by the Antichrist (Dan. 9:27), but it could morph into that over an unknown period of time.

The covenant that is confirmed by the Antichrist will be after the Rapture, and those that declare “Peace and Safety” will be unbelievers that have been left behind.

If Pres. Trump’s Peace Proposal morphs into the covenant that will be confirmed by the Antichrist, the U.S. will most surely pay a terrible price.

Four, it has been reported that Pres. Trump intends to raise 40 billion dollars to help the Palestinians build their Palestinian state.

Know that the Palestinians have always used much of the money that was given to them to fund attacks on Israel. $40 billion dollars is not enough to overcome God’s protection of Israel, but why would we do it?

Five, it has been reported that Pres. Trump’s proposal will allow freedom of worship for all religious groups at all of the religious holy sites. This would allow Jews, Muslims and Christians to worship on the Temple Mount.

Granting Jews freedom of worship on the Temple Mount will open the door for the Temple to be rebuilt, the Antichrist to defile the Temple, the Antichrist to stop the animal sacrifices, etc.

I am not saying that the fulfillment of God’s Word is bad, but I am saying that the thought of what is coming upon the world is disturbing.

Frankly, I wish the whole thing would fall through and Pres. Trump’s Faith Advisors could convince him to abandon his quest for a peace treaty. That could delay things.

When Pres. Trump’s team first started working on a Peace Proposal, there were reports that it would be automatically approved. Since recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, there seems to be some doubt about the approval.

Know also, that I am not predicting that the Two Witnesses will appear soon, but I am reminding our readers that God promised to send Elijah before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord (Mal. 4:5-6).

Then people can truthfully sing “These are the Days of Elijah.”
