I try to start a new article every Thursday, and I often wonder what I am going to write on this week.
This has been going on for about fourteen years, and God has always provided something.
On Apr. 10, 2025, I read two consecutive articles that used the word “reckless.”
“Reckless” usually means someone is doing something or refusing to do something, and they don’t care about the consequences.
When I was growing up, one of my friends or I would thump someone behind the ear, throw a paper wad at them, etc., and they would say “you’re cruising for a bruising.”
It was an empty threat that meant something like “you’re looking for trouble.”
On Apr. 9, 2025, Pres. Trump’s Treasury Sec. Scott Bessenst said:
- The Iranian regime’s reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons remains a grave threat to the United States and a menace to regional stability and global security.
On Apr. 9, 2025, an unnamed intelligence source said:
- Iran has recently equipped Shia militias in Iraq with missiles, including new, longer-range models not previously supplied to these groups.
- This represents a reckless effort by Tehran, jeopardizing the stability of Iraq.
Two different people were accusing Iran of being reckless: One for Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, and the other because Iran is sending missiles to its proxies in Iraq.
Iran is being reckless because Pres. Trump and Prime Min. Netanyahu have said they will not allow Iran to get nuclear weapons, and Pres. Trump has said he will hold Iran accountable for the actions of her proxies.
Supreme Leader Khamenei is reckless because he believes Iran will get into a terrible war at the end of the age, and the Mahdi will come forth out of a well to defeat Iran’s enemies (with Jesus assisting as the Mahdi’s subordinate) and establish Islamic righteousness and justice on earth.
Khamenei has not considered or is ignoring the consequences of what U.S. and Israeli bombers will do to Iran if the Mahdi stays in that well or if his Shi’ite twelver theology is wrong.
(Update: The U.S. and Iran met for about 2 ½ hours on Apr. 12, 2025. Iran called the talks productive and positive, but Iran said its missile program is off the table. The U.S. called the talks productive and a good step, but said if we have to, we will prevent the nuclear bomb in Iran’s hands. Israel said we will take military action if the diplomacy fails. A second round of talks is scheduled for Apr. 19, 2025.)

Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near.
One, concerning the likelihood of a U.S. and Israel attack on Iran in the near future: during his recent visit to Hungary, Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu said:
- We will smash the Iranian axis, the Iranian terror axis, which threatens not only us but Europe and many of our neighbors in the Middle East.
- We’re committed to doing so.
- By doing that, we’re also protecting Europe.
On Apr. 4, 2025, U.S. Sec. of State Marco Rubio said:
- On the Houthis, everybody wants to get their ships through the Red Sea.
- We’re the only ones doing anything about it, but everyone wants to get their ships through there.
- As I said, we’ve done the world a great favor by taking on this band of criminals who have unfortunately sophisticated weaponry that they can use to—I mean, they’ve attacked, what, 150, 160 merchant vessels—174 times they’ve attacked the United States Navy?
- So I think the world should be grateful to the United States for being involved in this and doing this…. We think that mission is going to bear fruit, and it’s necessary.
(My opinion: If the Iranian-backed Houthis are using sophisticated weaponry to attack the ships of other nations, it would be foolish for world leaders to allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. By attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities, the U.S. is protecting the EU and the whole world from Iran, which wants to impose radical Islamic beliefs on every nation on earth. The rape, murder, and enslavement of Jewish women and babies by the Iranian backed terrorists should cause the entire world, including non-Shi’ite Muslims, to act against Iran.)
(My opinion: Israel is not a threat to the whole world, but radical Islam is, and the world needs to recognize it quickly because it is almost too late.)
(BTW: Christians are being attacked, kidnapped, and killed in several Muslim countries almost daily. The problem is not what Christians and Jews believe. It is what Islam believes and intends to do. Muslims constantly chant that Allah is greater and also that there is no god but Allah. Many believe it is okay to kill those who refuse to convert. Ignoring these things is reckless.)

Two, concerning the growth of radical Islam, on Apr. 9, 2025, French Pres. Emanuel Macron said we (France) must move toward recognition (of a Palestinian state), and we will do so in the coming months.
(My opinion: Recognizing a Palestinian state in Gaza would be reckless because it would allow the Palestinians to have their own air force, navy, allow other armies in Gaza, and more. Radical Muslims believe they could destroy Israel if they could legitimize an Islamic air force in Gaza. The Bible says no weapon formed against Israel will prosper.)
Three, on Apr. 9, 2025, Hamas (who raped, murdered, and enslaved Jewish women and babies) petitioned the UK to remove Hamas from the UK list of terrorist groups.
Hamas did not deny that its actions meet the globally accepted definition of terrorism.
Hamas just claimed that it is resisting Jewish terrorism and that it is unfair to call them terrorists and not recognize Israel as a terrorist nation.
Four, concerning America: on Palm Sunday (Apr. 13, 2025): Pres. Trump released the following message for Holy Week:
>This Holy Week, Melania and I join in prayer with Christians celebrating the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ — the living Son of God who conquered death, freed us from sin, and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all of humanity.
>Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and culminating in the Paschal Triduum, which begins on Holy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, followed by Good Friday, and reaching its pinnacle in the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night.
>It’s a time of reflection for Christians to memorialize Jesus’ crucifixion — and to prepare their hearts, minds, and souls for His Miraculous Resurrection from the dead.
>During this sacred week, we acknowledge that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross.
>In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation.
>Through His suffering, we have redemption.
>Through His death, we are forgiven of our sins.
>Through His Resurrection, we have hope of eternal life.
>On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and light prevails over darkness — signaling that death does not have the final word.
>This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government.
>We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.
>As we focus on Christ’s redeeming sacrifice, we look to His love, humility, and obedience — even in life’s most difficult and uncertain moments.
>This week, we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our beloved Nation.
>We pray that America will remain a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom for the entire world, and we pray to achieve a future that reflects the truth, beauty, and goodness of Christ’s eternal kingdom of Heaven.
>God bless you and your family during this special time of year, and may He continue to bless the United States of America.
(My opinion: I assume someone wrote this for Pres. Trump, but he had to authorize its release. It is a great message, and I applaud him for releasing it. I pray for the salvation of people who read it. And if God does not Rapture us soon, I hope that he keeps doing it. I don’t agree with everything he says and does, but I truly believe that God protected him from assassination and put him in office for a reason.)
(More: Decision Magazine – founded by Billy Graham – reported that the White House will observe Easter week as a Holy Week with scheduled events to celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection. On X, Franklin Graham said, “What a contrast to Easter last year at the White House when President Biden declared the most holy day of the year on the Christian calendar ‘Transgender Day of Visibility.’”)
Five, following his confirmation as U.S. Ambassador to Israel, on Apr. 14, 2025, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee told Fox News:
- The first thing I’m going to do is to take a prayer that the President gave me on Thursday when I met with him at the White House, and I’m going to take it to the Western Wall, and I’m going to place it there on behalf of the American people and on behalf of the President.
(My opinion: Trump didn’t have to send a prayer to the Western Wall for God to hear it, but I am pleased to know that he did.)
Six, concerning the fulfillment of Bible prophecy: Paula White (Senior Advisor to the White House Faith Office) recently interviewed Israeli Prime Min. Netanyahu.
White told Netanyahu, “The Christian vision of the end of days foretells of some profound transformation and redemption (in Israel),” and she asked whether he saw signs of this vision being realized in current events.
Netanyahu replied,
- That vision of the return of the dispersed people to the Holy Land, the reconstitution of Jewish sovereignty in our ancient land … That’s a miracle.
- I think this is a string of miracles by itself.
- You can explain it in various ways, but I think there is something that defies, you know, it sort of defies the laws of history because according to the laws of history, if you’re gone, you’re gone.
- President Donald Trump’s moves to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, the transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem, and the mediation of the Abraham Accords are near-miraculous events in the Jewish people’s historic mission.
Netanyahu went on to urge Christians to,
- Visit Israel to understand how the Bible is really being played out in real time on this piece of earth that is so critical to our common civilization.
(My opinion: No nation has ever been out of existence as long as Israel was out of existence and come back into being. But God said Israel will come back into existence at the end of the age, and it officially became a nation again on May 14, 1948. I strongly agree with Netanyahu’s statement that “the Bible is really being played out in real time in Israel,” but I would add in other nations as well. It is time for people to be Rapture-Ready.)
Seven, concerning hyper-inflation and a global economic collapse during the Tribulation Period in May of 2020, the price of gold was fluctuating around $1,750 per troy ounce.
On Apr. 11, 2025, one troy ounce of gold was selling for $3,248.
Investors blamed the price surge on volatility in the stock market.
Eight, concerning the ashes of a red heifer, the most recent information I have seen said two of the five red heifers that were moved from Texas to Israel may still be qualified for sacrifice.
The report said it is a controversial issue, and the rabbis have decided to leave it that way because a Hamas spokesman said Hamas started the Oct. 7 war because Israel had plans to sacrifice one of the red heifers and rebuild the Temple.
According to the report, the red heifers can be between 3 and 4 years old.
I am sure all of this will be settled when the time is right and they have permission to do it.
FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).
Finally, are you Rapture Ready?
If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
