Something We Should Know :: By Daymond Duck

Lists are helpful, and I have seen some good ones lately, so I decided to try to put a couple together.

God promised to return Israel to the Promised Land and bless her. Israel is:

  • Double- and triple-cropping and exporting food.
  • Desalinating water and supplying water to Jordan and Gaza.
  • Producing more natural gas than it needs, and exporting some.
  • One of the top ten economies in the world.
  • One of the strongest currencies in the world.
  • One of the strongest militaries in the world.
  • One of the most technologically innovative nations in the world.
  • Expected to generate hundreds of billions of dollars from exports in the future to finance growth in other areas.

Without requiring Israel to make concessions, Pres. Trump has:

  • Stopped calling Judea and Samaria “occupied territory” (April 2018).
  • Pulled the U.S. out of the Iranian nuclear deal (May 2018).
  • Officially moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem (May 2018).
  • Cut off hundreds of millions of dollars of funding to the PA (Aug. 2018).
  • Cancelled the PA’s independent diplomatic status in Washington and placed it under the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem (Oct. 2018).
  • Recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights (Mar. 2019).
  • Removed the word “Palestine” from the list of nations and areas on U.S. State Dept. Websites (Aug. 2019).
  • Announced that the U.S. will no longer tolerate PA support for terrorism (Aug. 2019).
  • Recognized Israel as a nation as well as a religion (Dec. 2019).
  • Assassinated Gen. Soleimani (Jan. 2020).

Pres. Trump may soon put a peace treaty on the table, and there have been reports that he has been asked to help Israel rebuild the Temple.

These lists are real, God is real, and the situation in Israel is shaping up exactly as the prophets foretold in the Bible.

Israel has food, water, energy, military strength, riches and an ally in the White House that is fulfilling Bible prophecy unlike any other.

When asked about the signs of His coming and the end of the age, Jesus replied, “Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel); When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matt. 24:32-35).

We cannot know the day or the hour of our Lord’s return, but He gave us indicators (signs or future events) to let us know when it is near.

Many experts in Bible prophecy believe all of those indicators are converging in this present generation.

FYI: Prophecy Plus is not a fund-raising ministry, but we have received an e-mail from Australia saying many victims of the devastating wildfires are needing help in the way of prayer, food and money. According to the e-mail, the Red Cross in Australia is helping those it can.

The Baby Must Be Born :: By Daymond Duck

Todd Hampson recently wrote, “Most prophecy experts agree that the birth pains began with the rebirth of Israel and have steadily increased since that all-important prophetic event. At some point the baby must be born.”

Below are several reasons to believe that the baby could soon be born.

One, 2020 has arrived, and that means the UN goal (not necessarily God’s goal) of a world government and a world religion by 2030 is just 10 years away.

Two, in recent weeks, there have been several anti-Semitic attacks in the U.S. and a Church of Christ shooting in Texas, prompting one prophecy teacher to declare that “no house of worship in America is safe anymore” (great wickedness, bloodshed and persecution are increasing).

Three, liberals want to disarm America to bring in a world government, and the Governor of Virginia recently threatened to cut off the electricity to homes of people that refuse to surrender their guns.

Officials in some areas are fighting back by declaring their towns, cities and counties “Second Amendment Sanctuaries,” “Constitutional Counties,” etc.

Some Sheriffs in Virginia have talked about deputizing entire communities to protect the Constitutional right of their citizens to bear arms.

Thank God for the lives that were saved by the armed church member at the Church of Christ in Texas.

Four, it is incredible to believe that one-third of the trees will burn during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 8:7), but since August 2019, wildfires in Australia have burned about 15 million acres, killed about 500 million animals, caused the death and destruction of people and property, and the fires are still burning.

Five, it is incredible to believe that there will be a global economic collapse during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 6:5-6), but the U.S. national debt is now more than 22 trillion dollars; and on Dec.31, 2019, the U.S. Treasury Dept. reported that there are about 128,579,000 households in the U.S., and America’s national debt comes to $83,967 per household.

Six, it is incredible that ancient Babylon will be rebuilt and destroyed by fire in one hour, when Iran has almost taken over Iraq (the land of Babylon; Rev.18).

The remainder of this article will be devoted to my thoughts on some of that.

Following several rocket attacks on a U.S. base by Popular Mobilization Units (PMU; Hezbollah-related, Iranian proxy terrorist groups), U.S. Sec. of State Mike Pompeo warned Iran (on Dec. 13, 2019) that “any attacks by Iran or Iranian proxies will be met with a decisive U.S. response.”

Mr. Pompeo’s warning was ignored, and the PMU fired 30 rockets at the U.S. base (on Dec. 27, 2019).

One American contractor was killed and four U.S. soldiers were injured.

On Dec. 29, 2019, the U.S. responded with an attack on 5 PMU bases (3 in Iraq and 2 in Syria) that killed about 25 people and wounded about 55 people including several Iranian officers.

Iran vowed to retaliate, and the U.S. threatened to strike back if Iran did.

On Dec. 31, 2019, a pro-Iranian mob broke into the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, set fires in a reception area, hung a sign on the embassy wall that read “Soleimani is our leader,” and waved several Hezbollah flags on the walls of the embassy.

A nation’s embassy is considered to be that nation’s territory, and an attack on the U.S. embassy in Iraq is no different from an attack on the U.S.

Waving the Hezbollah flag on the U.S. embassy walls is not insignificant.

Pres. Trump said Iran will pay a big price for attacking the U.S., and Gen. Soleimani said, “Washington can’t do anything.”

U.S. Sec. of State Mike Pompeo said, the U.S. is committed to Iraq (the land of Babylon) becoming a free, independent and sovereign state.

Recall that Iraq was once called the land of Babylon; and according to the Bible, it will wind up in the hands of the Antichrist, not Iran.

Understand that Iran needs to be dealt with before the city of Babylon can be expanded to host the one-world religious and economic system (Rev. 17-18).

On Jan. 2, 2020, the U.S. attacked a group of Iranians and PMU terrorists that were meeting at the Baghdad airport in Iraq.

Gen. Soleimani (Iran’s top General) and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis (the Iraqi Commander of the PMU groups that fired rockets at the U.S. base) died in the attack.

Iran promised a harsh retaliation.

U.S. Sec. of Defense Mark Esper said, “The game has changed. Violent acts by Iranian-backed Shiite militias in Iraq will now be met with U.S. military force.”

On Jan. 3, 2020, the U.S. attacked a convoy of PMU terrorist leaders in Iraq, killing 6 and critically wounding 3.

DebkaFile reported that the U.S. now has a new set of goals which is basically: 1) put an end to Iran’s control over the government of Iraq, 2) establish a more mainstream government in Iraq, and 3) put an end to the influence of the terrorists that are trying to take over Iraq.

The birth pains are growing stronger; and at some point, the baby must be born.
