It’s Time :: By Bill Wilson

A friend of mine who is long passed on was very wise. He was once a Democrat but finished his life as a Republican. He achieved much in his lifetime. Some of the things he wrote and said ring true today, just the same as they were back in his time. For example, he said,

“This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can ourselves.”

Obviously, he was against big government, but more importantly, he was against controlling government, overreaching government. Such things lead to corruption and tyranny.

He said,

“You and I are told increasingly [that] we have to choose between a left or right. Well, I’d like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There’s only an up or down: up – man’s old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down – to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.”

We have seen this in how the Democratic Party has consistently defunded the police to no good end, with crime rapidly rising in all those cities. We also see how the same party has taken our freedoms “for the good of the masses” during COVID.

He said,

“Well, I, for one, resent it when a representative of the people refers to you and me, the free men and women of this country, as “the masses.” This is a term we haven’t applied to ourselves in America. But beyond that, “the full power of centralized government” – this was the very thing the Founding Fathers sought to minimize. They knew that governments don’t control things. A government can’t control the economy without controlling people. And they know when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. They also knew, those Founding Fathers, that outside of its legitimate functions, government does nothing as well or as economically as the private sector of the economy.”

We now see the results of what a powerful team of government, media, and the private sector are when it comes to controlling people and an economy. When these three horses pull together, we have lockdowns, censorship, deadly mandates, sexual deviants preying on our children in schools, and out-of-control inflation.

The things my friend said in a speech titled “A Time for Choosing,” aired on national television October 27, 1964, ring true today. My friend, Ronald Reagan, was ahead of his time in predicting what happens when Democrat socialists get in power. Some 58 years ago, he saw today’s America coming if people didn’t stand up and choose.

Ecclesiastes 3:7 says there is “A time to keep silence, and a time to speak.” It is most definitely time to speak, time to choose, and time to act. It’s time.

Elections And Your Soul: A Prophetic Account :: By Bill Wilson

There has been much rhetoric surrounding the elections. Even the “President” has pitted Americans against one another, inferring that God-fearing people believing in the sanctity of life are a grave threat to America.

There have been ads on TV by Democratic candidates openly depicting that their opponents who are pro-life are dangerous.

The “President” has made statements that conservative Republicans are akin to terrorists. They have said that the movement of this element of society must be killed. They have actually characterized as terrorists parents who do not want their children to be subject to sexual mutilation and predation by homosexual and sexual deviants in public schools.

This will not go away because of an election.

This is a season not unlike the times of Noah. But remember Ecclesiastes 3:1-8,

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

This is a season where good men and women are facing a defining moment of what is right and just, and that which is evil. It is a time to examine our hearts and what we believe is to be the definition of our soul, the soul of our family, and the soul of our country. We must determine where we are on the spectrum of seasons so wisely and aptly described in Ecclesiastes.

Is yours a time to build up, to cast away, to rend or sew, to keep silent or to speak? What is the Lord telling you?

For you must know that just because of an election, the hearts of those who are in opposition to the Lord, whether they are elected leaders or those in the pulpit, will not change because people have voted. It is important to align our will with the will of the Lord and behave accordingly.

No matter how the elections turn out. Know that your eternal hope is in the Lord Almighty, not in government. Government is not God. For those who believe all their hope is in government, they are rejecting God. They, whether knowingly or not, are worshipping another god. And surely they will have their reward.

As Christ said in Matthew 6:19- 21, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal; But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

You are of another Kingdom. You are especially made to carry on the will of God here in an earthly vessel. Never forget it.
