LA Riots—Democrat Propaganda Vs Hard Truth :: By Bill Wilson

Violence erupted in LA after sweeping ICE raids targeted illegal immigrants. Protests quickly morphed into full-blown riots. Entire blocks in South LA. Compton and Boyle Heights saw fires, vandalism, smashed vehicles, and outright assaults on police and bystanders. Flash-bangs echoed into the night. Tear gas was thick in the air. In one broadcast, Australian reporter Lauren Tomasi was struck by a rubber bullet on live TV. This wasn’t a candlelight vigil. This was a public breakdown. But according to California’s Democratic leadership, there was nothing to see. Governor Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass, and US Rep. Nanette Barragán framed the unrest as “passionate civic action” or “peaceful assembly.”

Barragán went so far as to say there was “no violence” in her district—ignoring live coverage that contradicted her on nearly every claim. This isn’t just political airbrushing; it’s propaganda. And propaganda, by its nature, distorts truth and numbs public judgment.

It isn’t the first time a ruling class tried to control reality by denying it. In communist regimes—whether Soviet, Cuban, or Chinese—governments routinely deny visible famine, bloodshed, and injustice while flooding the airwaves with cheerful slogans. “Peaceful” protests, they’d say, as soldiers fired into crowds.

Democratic leadership in California is engaging in a modern version of the same tactic. These California Democrats may not control the media entirely, but they manipulate the narrative and a sympathetic media that is mostly registered Democrats, amplify it.

They all hope the public is too distracted, too passive, or too ideological to question what they see with their own eyes. The implications are dangerous.

If elected officials can claim that violence is peace, what else can they rebrand? A burning building becomes “community expression.” A mob attack is called “activism.” Law enforcement becomes “oppression.” The goal isn’t just to pacify the moment; it’s to reset what truth means altogether.

Illegal immigration is just the spark that becomes the dumpster fire of revolution. You can oppose ICE raids, demand reform, or advocate for immigrant rights without trying to overthrow law and order. But when facts are buried for the sake of optics, the damage spreads far beyond politics. It corrodes public trust. It breeds cynicism. And it leaves everyday Americans wondering who they can believe.

The prophet Jeremiah once warned of leaders who lulled people into a false sense of security. He wrote in Jeremiah 6:14,

“They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ when there is no peace.”

That’s exactly what’s happening in LA. While LA burned, the people were told to stay calm, that everything was under control. But it wasn’t.

There’s no peace without truth. And there’s no leadership without honesty. If leaders continue to declare “peace” while chaos rages, they should be removed.

Truth isn’t a political convenience; it’s a moral necessity. Christians must cling to it, speak it, and never accept its counterfeit.

As Proverbs 12:22 says, “The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy.”

The Troubling Pattern of Hate and Politics :: By Bill Wilson

There’s a troubling pattern unfolding before our eyes—one that the mainstream media would rather ignore and the political left pretends doesn’t exist.

While Democrats and their allies repeatedly claim the moral high ground, accusing conservatives of promoting hate and extremism, they themselves are quietly (and sometimes boldly) normalizing violence through rhetoric, associations, and a double standard that turns criminals into martyrs—so long as their politics align.

Take the recent Washington, D.C. shooting where two Israeli embassy staffers were gunned down. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, was connected to radical far-left groups. His father was invited by Democrats as a special guest to a joint session of Congress.

In a disturbing twist, left-wing TikTok personalities openly praised the attack, hailing Rodriguez as a “resistance fighter.” That’s not fringe commentary—it’s the social media echo chamber of the progressive movement celebrating cold-blooded murder. And these aren’t isolated voices. They’re rewarded with views, likes, and shares.

Hate has become a currency of influence. In the case of the Jewish-Christian couple murdered at the Jewish museum, the suspect’s father was US Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García’s (D-IL) guest at Trump’s March speech to Congress—another example of how radicals with deadly ideologies are linked by more than coincidence to the left’s political machinery.

We’re told to look the other way, to avoid “politicizing” tragedy, but it’s fair game to paint all conservatives with the same brush, no matter what the claim.

Breitbart, the Washington Examiner, and the New York Post have all connected dots that legacy media outlets won’t touch. When you stack these stories together, a disturbing trend emerges: the killers are often ideologically tied to far-left narratives—anti-Israel hatred, anti-Christian sentiment, and anti-conservative rage. Their online activity is soaked in rhetoric lifted from progressive influencers and campus radicals.

The language of tolerance is being hijacked to excuse the language and acts of violence.

For years, the left has hurled accusations of hate and violence at conservatives, Christians, and anyone who dared question their cultural dogmas. All the while, they’ve cultivated a movement where people are emboldened to kill in the name of “justice.” When exposed, the silence from the Democrat leadership is deafening.

What we’re witnessing is ideological grooming. A generation is being taught that violence is justified if it’s against the “right” targets—Jews, Christians, conservatives, police, or anyone labeled “oppressors.”

The left decries hate while actively nurturing it in their base. That’s not just dangerous—it’s immoral.

It’s time for Americans—left, right, and center—to reject this madness. If we’re serious about stopping hate, it has to start with truth. Truth about who’s encouraging violence, who’s getting a pass, and who’s being vilified for standing against it.

Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.”

We are called to be peacemakers, not enablers. Stand for truth. Speak against hate. And don’t let politics blind you to evil hiding in plain sight.
