Planes in the air!
This week, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has happened. Israeli planes hit Iranian sites last Friday, and within only several hours, had air superiority over the enemy airspace. By now, plenty of experts are saying this is the most astounding military operation in history. As of now, the only thing that can save Iran’s monstrous regime is the Western Diplomacy Fail that always pops up at the worst times. Like a child told not to run into a train tunnel when a train is approaching, American and European diplomats right now apparently are trying to help the devilish mullahs escape. Leaving them in charge of Iran would be historically disastrous.
It’s a bit like the early 90s, when the George H. W. Bush administration helped the Norwegians rescue Yasser Arafat from his desert hideout, cleaning-up the killer dwarf and turning him into a “statesman.” Had they not done that, the PLO would have continued being a fringe terror group. Instead, the “Palestinian Authority” continued the PLO’s murderous reign, targeting and killing thousands of Jews.
All this is momentous. But I want this week to talk about another element to this story, that of the cockroach-like anti-Semites emerging from their dark spaces to attack Israel, the Jews, and their supporters. Particularly Christian Zionists. In the space of one week, I have been astonished by more than Israel’s lightning preemptive strike. For me, this sub-story of Jew-haters is every bit as important.
For a long time, we’ve felt that parts of the West, specifically the United States, are a haven for Jews. To a large extent, that’s been true. Even some American presidents (John Adams, Harry Truman) have been supportive of a national home for the Jews. Then there have been the devils—Barack Obama—that have placed Israel in jeopardy. Bill Clinton, that craven political opportunist, legitimized the PLO and Arafat, even as he knew those serial killers had not changed their spots.
It is the professing Christian community though that is most problematic. I remember having high hopes for Tucker Carlson early on. Then he began making moon eyes at Russia. Then he quickly began guests for his podcast, ones that trash Israel and Jews. I didn’t think through that Carlson, a prototypical Washington WASP, has never liked Israel or the Jews. He is now spreading his propaganda that America has to fight Israel’s wars. Others joining in are Candace Owens, who literally sounds like Joseph Goebbels. The one though that has shocked me the most is former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz. Now with One America News, Gaetz I thought is a smart, solid conservative. Yet his bizarre comments this week—including questioning why Arabs in Israel cannot vote—are astonishing examples of ignorance. Or is he a part of a more sinister agenda, spreading lies purposely?
Even a rudimentary understanding of Israel in the Middle East would alert one to the fact that yes, Israeli Arabs are fully citizens of the State. They not only vote, but they serve in the Knesset and on the judiciary. How can Gaetz be this dumb? Further, he made things worse by following up with this:
“What is the West Bank? I’m only aware of Judea and Samaria, which Israel claims as theirs, and controls, particularly in Area C. Like 2 million Arabs live there. And they can’t vote in the elections for the government that functionally runs their lives. Look, I’m not making this point to be some Democracy purist (I’m not one). I just don’t think ‘Democracy in Israel’ is such a splendid presentation of the genre that it justifies America going to war with Iran.”
What? Since 1993, when the now-failed Oslo framework (land-for-peace, a Palestinian state) was launched, Arabs living under the PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY are not citizens of Israel. How can Gaetz not know this? If he is this dumb, we dodged a real bullet when his nomination for attorney general was torpedoed.
Let me tell you something.
You see it too, I know. Israel militarily and politically is in a whole new place. Big stuff going on. But I am as troubled by anti-Semitism in the Church as I am about anything else. Deeply troubled. Spending any time on social media now will leave you reeling. The most vile, filthy, and dangerous things are spread now by professing Christians, who despise the Jews. We are in a new place now. I believe I’ve mentioned on Facebook that a recent book contract I had with a publisher, to expose deep anti-Semitism in the American Church, was cancelled! It is extremely rare to cancel a book contract; when I worked 15 years for a publisher, out of 500 projects I worked on, only one was cancelled.
I name names. I am independent. Many, many times over the years readers have asked me to continue naming names. It is getting brutal out there. Commentators with huge platforms are smearing the Jews. Vast ignorance of the Jews and Israel, biblically and in secular history, is a plague in the American Church. I cannot emphasize enough how much that is true.
This week, a website known as Evangelical Dark Web posted this on X:
“The word parasite comes to mind.”
This above a link to a Haaretz article that states: “Netanyahu is counting on Trump to finish what Israel started in Iran.”
Parasite?
That is Martin Luther territory. The famous Protestant reformer wrote On the Jews and Their Lies in 1543. His descriptions of Jews are so filthy, a Navy SEAL would blush. Luther didn’t start out as an anti-Semite, but after his conversion attempts fell on deaf Jewish ears, he became enraged and turned on them. His writings absolutely led directly to the Holocaust. Nazi officers and leaders were members in good standing of Catholic and Lutheran churches until the end of their lives. Here’s a snippet from the warped Luther:
“My essay, I hope, will furnish a Christian (who in any case has no desire to become a Jew) with enough material not only to defend himself against the blind, venomous Jews, but also to become the foe of the Jews’ malice, lying, and cursing, and to understand not only that their belief is false but that they are surely possessed by all devils. May Christ, our dear Lord, convert them mercifully and preserve us steadfastly and immovably in the knowledge of him, which is eternal life. Amen.”
Now American, professing Christian organizations and individuals are mimicking Medieval-era anti-Semitic propaganda.
PARASITES!
Candace Owens is spewing her pea soup about the Jews, making Luther sounds almost like an amateur. What has turned these people? Everyone is asking this question. I think the answer is obvious. They do not know Scripture, have not read the Bible and studied it. Those that do, among other things, notice clearly that the Jews and Israel are intertwined with the will of God and His plan for mankind.
The onslaught of Jew-hatred in the Church is almost overwhelming. The seemingly sudden turn of people that before did not exhibit outward signs of anti-Semitism is in reality the product of a long wrong-way turn. This has been happening for a long time. For all the Bible prophecy teaching and education (some) about the Holocaust, we somehow missed the chance to do a thorough education sweep across the country. Calvary Chapels have always been staunchly pro-Israel. The Assemblies of God and the Southern Baptists used to be. But they have been infiltrated.
Now we have Evangelical Dark Web spreading their poison.
Many are now questioning whether modern Israel is connected to ancient Israel.
Madness! I write about these things more in-depth on my Patreon page, but when we are confronted with the most basic ignorance, it is an indication that Satan is thrashing about, in a fury, because his time is short.
A Jew-hater is very hard to “win.” Better to save your energy and time for people truly searching, that really want to know. Educate them.
At this moment, as Israeli planes fill the skies in Iran, taking on a very modern Goliath, you’d think the world would be cheering them on.
The agnostic Emmanuel Macron is hurrying to push diplomacy with the murderous pagans from Tehran. Starmer, of England, is nominally Church of England. Candace Owens sounds like a Crusader. The Episcopalian Carlson, with his faith devoid of any appreciation for the Jewish people, pumps sludge across the airwaves.
As long as I’ve been at this, I am somewhat caught off-guard by the tsunami of Jew-hatred spreading across the world. Knowing that it has infected the American Church is disheartening.
But we are in it for the long haul. The Jewish Messiah, our Lord and Savior, told us long ago it would be this way.
