Even the World Itself Could Not Contain :: By Candy Austin

John 21:25 “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”

The Bible is the inerrant, infallible, and all-sufficient Word of God. Even though the scripture above clues us in to the fact that there are many more things that Jesus did which were not recorded. Yet with all the expository teaching, commentaries, books, and even with all of the preaching on the scriptures, there is obviously more knowledge to be had. If only we were able to contain it all in our fallen state. God, in His vastness and completeness, knew exactly what we needed when He compiled His Holy Word for us. Therefore, we can take comfort in the fact that we have exactly what we need for this space and time.

Commentary on John 21:25

(Read John 21:25)

Only a small part of the actions of Jesus had been written. But let us bless God for all that is in the Scriptures, and be thankful that there is so much in so small a space. Enough is recorded to direct our faith, and regulate our practice; more would have been unnecessary. Much of what is written is overlooked, much forgotten, and much made the matter of doubtful disputes. We may, however, look forward to the joy we shall receive in heaven, from a more complete knowledge of all Jesus did and said, as well as of the conduct of his providence and grace in his dealings with each of us. May this be our happiness. “These are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” 31 – Source

Take the Book of Job, for example, when God finally speaks to Job out of the whirlwind concerning the created order of God’s work in creation. He did not answer any of Job’s questions about all of the losses in his life. Instead, He helped Job to realize that some questions can never be solved through our faulty and mortal comprehensions. In essence, we need to trust in a Sovereign God who is beyond our frail and humanistic limitations and who can do above and beyond all that we could ever ask or think.

From gotquestions.org: “Who was Job in the Bible?”

Perhaps the greatest lesson we learn from the book of Job is that God does not have to answer to anyone for what He does or does not do. Job’s experience teaches us that we may never know the specific reason for suffering, but we must trust in our sovereign, holy, righteous God. His ways are perfect (Psalm 18:30). Since God’s ways are perfect, we can trust that whatever He does—and whatever He allows—is also perfect. We can’t expect to understand God’s mind perfectly, as He reminds us, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways…. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8–9).

Our responsibility to God is to obey Him, to trust Him, and to submit to His will, whether we understand it or not. When we do, we will find God in the midst of our trials—possibly even because of our trials. We will see more clearly the magnificence of our God, and we will say, with Job, “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you” (Job 42:5).  – Source

We cannot fully know or comprehend God on this side of Eternity. This should bring us comfort instead of concern. Comfort because not fully comprehending a Sovereign and All-Knowing Creator produces Faith. This should help us to see how difficult it would be to develop Faith in a God that we could fully comprehend and/or understand. So, since we cannot know all there is to know about God in our limited state, this in turn becomes the basis or catalyst on which we learn to build our Trust and Faith in Him.

From gotquestions.org: “What are the communicable and incommunicable attributes of God?”

It is important to understand that we will never be fully like God, and in no sense will we ever become gods. God is distinct from us, and yet we are made in His image and redeemed by His Son. We are called to be holy as He is holy (1 Peter 1:15–16) yet know that only He is completely holy; any holiness in us comes from Him. Our sharing in God’s communicable attributes is for His glory and is made possible by His design of us and His enabling as we abide in Him.

God’s incommunicable attributes are those characteristics that cannot be shared with His creatures. God’s incommunicable attributes are things that only God can have and that make Him distinct from creation. For example, God is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, sovereign, transcendent, immutable, and self-existent. We can define these attributes, but we often do not fully comprehend them and can never call them our own. The incommunicable attributes of God are what make God, God. They are His distinguishing features that only He possesses. The incommunicable attributes of God are cause for us to revere, worship, trust, and praise the Creator. – Source

Once we are on the other side of the veil, we will finally see Him as He is face to face and know Him more fully in our glorified state. Until that day, we are to live for Christ, occupy until He comes, and serve our Master and King as faithfully and pleasing to our Lord Jesus Christ as we can.

Final note: As born-again believers we are the children of God and the bride of Christ who has an indescribable inheritance in Heaven! A place where “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, neither has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him”!

Can. Not. Wait!  Maranatha!

1 John 3:2 “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJVA) “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

Why “Activists” Are Generally Destructive to the Christian Cause

When Jesus sent out his disciples, he gave them a very simple message: repentance in His holy name. He told them to not bother with “gold or silver” or “extra shirt or sandals” or “a staff.” To get ready to preach to the world today, people think they need a building fund, Radio or TV outreach, and an army organizational staff.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged, but has crossed over from death to life” (John 5:24).

I’ve never liked any type of Christian organization that was centered on activists that are driven by the need to be a celebrity. They promise: If we lift them up on high, they will sing the praises of our Lord Jesus. This strategy fails nearly every time because it quickly becomes all about them. The greatest reward that people seek is money and attention.

I have witnessed this outcome many times in the field of prophecy. I can think of several examples of people who once promoted the pre-rapture view, and then monetary motivation changed, and they promptly switched to the post-trib camp. Several years ago, a guy wrote on his site, “I only started my ministry to make money. Now that I realize it’s not possible to turn a profit, I’m closing it down.”

Norma McCorvey is the woman known as “Jane Roe” in the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion. It’s called a “landmark ruling for justice,” but the truth is it came right from the pit of hell.

After her mid-1990s conversion to become a born-again Christian, McCorvey disavowed her gay relationship with another woman, even as they continued to live together. McCorvey shocked the left in 1995 when she came out against abortion.

We now learn in a new documentary that she was lying when she switched to support the anti-abortion movement, saying she had been paid to do so. What a shock! She never had an abortion, but became a key political figure to legalize abortions, and then turned around and sold out; and then when the money dried up, she confessed to being a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

In her “deathbed confession,” as she calls it, a visibly ailing McCorvey says she only became an anti-abortion activist because she was paid by evangelical groups.

“I was the big fish,” she said. “I think it was a mutual thing. I took their money and they’d put me out in front of the cameras and tell me what to say. That’s what I’d say. It was all an act. I did it well too. I am a good actress. Of course, I’m not acting now,” she added. “If a young woman wants to have an abortion, that’s no skin off my a**. That’s why they call it choice.”

I could not find any clear indication that McCorvey’s conversion was simply a lie. Satan does not normally surrender his earthly generals without a massive struggle. This was clearly the sort of woman who would have offered her soul to whoever was the highest bidder.

In the past, a person of this type would have been rooted out by Christians with a moderate level of discernment. The Reverend Robert Schenck, one of the evangelical pastors who worked with McCorvey, also features in the documentary. He acknowledged that McCorvey was paid for her appearances on the movement’s behalf. The program says it was as much $500,000 (in current figures). He crudely admits to doing his own acting:

“I knew what we were doing,” Mr. Schenck says. “And there were times when I was sure she knew. And I wondered, ‘Is she playing us?’ What I didn’t have the guts to say was, ‘Because I know d*** well we’re playing her.'”

It is sad, but very timely for my article to cite the passing of Evangelist Ravi Zacharias, a great example of how to be a true servant of the Lord. He spent his life defending Christian doctrines against objections through books and lectures. He was such godly man, CNN couldn’t think of anything negative to say about him. It did publish a story that Tim Tebow and other Christians praised Zacharias’ life; and then, three days later the quotes were removed.

I think we are too close to the rapture to be lying and cheating in God’s name. For all true believers, it is far better to be judged for a wrong that you did 10 years ago than the one you did last week.

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14, KJV).

Pandemic vs Abortion

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to rule the airwaves, cyberspace, and every facet of our lives. Every story coming across our TV or computer screens continues to scream with the Coronavirus onslaught that has condemned us, potentially, to death, and almost certainly, too, economic depression. The pandemic is all the media want us to think about, and most gladly oblige by adhering to the guidelines demanded by those experts such as Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The figures they parade before our near-panicked eyes are front and center each and every news cycle. One snapshot in time, as the pandemic progresses, presented the following as I perused the numbers. They are taken from a Google search.

United States cases: Updated May 17 at 10:20 AM local

Confirmed: 1,500,148 (+26,733)

Deaths: 89,498 (+1,261)

Recovered: 274,265

Global cases: Updated May 17 at 9:20 AM local

Confirmed: 4,658,651 (+95,193)

Deaths: 312,239 (+4,074)

Recovered: 1,703,322 (+54,047)

There is great alarm over the deaths among these statistics. The number of cases both in America and globally are all-consuming. However, the statistics of recoveries are downplayed to the point they are never mentioned in many newscasts or news postings.

Any death, as the president and all others consistently remind us, is too many. There is a race to move Heaven and earth in order to find a vaccine that will guarantee one cannot get the virus. That is a quest that is, almost all of the experts agree, something that can’t happen for at least another 18 months. Some say there will never be a vaccine found for these types of viral diseases because they mutate constantly. The common flu, for example, has shots but not true vaccines. The shots can lessen the severity of the flu in patients. No vaccine has been produced that guarantees people won’t get any strain of the flu.

Vaccines have been produced that are effective for measles, smallpox, polio, and other diseases but not for the viral illnesses. You will have to ask someone besides yours truly to find out why this is the case. I certainly can’t give you the answer. I just know it’s a fact.

This great, all-consuming concern for our lives, as we have seen, has a raging political agenda attached to it. We can’t open up the economies either of America or the world until that magical vaccine is found. This is the opinion of those such as Dr. Fauci and the CDC for the most part.

Yet no such vaccine is likely forthcoming, despite the efforts of those such as Bill Gates, who, many of our friends with a squinted, conspiratorial eye toward his efforts believe, intends to inject in all of us a tracking device, or worse.

There might develop flu-like shots to lessen severity, but a true vaccine such as in measles or smallpox isn’t likely to be produced.

The satanic influence of all this particularly strikes my suspicion-meter when thinking on how, while there is all this burning concern for making sure no one ever again gets a case of Coronavirus, the most vulnerable and helpless of our kind are given no such concern or protective effort – except for those who are concerned for the sanctity of life.

While we see the figures each and every news cycle of cases and deaths of COVID-19 victims, we never see the statistics of the infanticide we are deliberately allowing to be perpetrated.

Abortion in America has been consistently very near 1 million or more babies per year for decades. Statistics show a slight lessening over the last few years, but still the mark hovers around the 1 million mark. The last time I looked at it, the number since Roe v Wade was nearing 70 million.

The COVID-19 Nazis – I mean officials – have told us that the most vulnerable among us, in addition to the elderly and those with severe health problems, are people of color – mostly meaning those who are African Americans. This is of great concern to, particularly, the progressives, as they prepare their plans for how to twist things in order to get Trump removed from office. They want back the numbers among the darker races they’ve lost due to Trump’s efforts to advance their plight in America.

They blame him for numbers of deaths being so high among people of color, as they put it. The conclusion they make is, of course, ludicrous, as is so much they try to peddle.

In considering facts about concern for African Americans and the Coronavirus, we wonder where the great concern is in the matter of African American babies in the wombs of their mothers. By far, the greatest number of abortions are performed on African American fetuses. They are a minority, but the majority of abortions are performed on black children. Where is the compassion of the Party that claims to champion the black American voter base?

There is great concern to prevent COVID-19, but no concern for helpless children in the womb.

We don’t have to wonder what the Creator God of Heaven thinks about the Pandemic vs Abortion statistical inequity.

Here is what David, a man after God’s own heart, wrote under Holy Spirit Inspiration:

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfected; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them” (Psalms 139: 13-16).

I continue to believe that when the Rapture takes place and every womb is empty because those little ones are with Christ in that instant, God will have made a Statement about when life begins.
