Donation Drive Dec to Feb

I had hoped by delaying our final donation drive for 2020 to the end of November, the election would be fully decided. With Trump behind in at least four states, we need to face the sad reality that Joe Biden may soon occupy the White House. I think the American people have made a colossal error that will come back to haunt them. One man once wisely said, “People who get what they want are often surprised when they also get what they deserve.”

I think Trump’s likely loss is part of the general degradation in society. In a landslide, the earth doesn’t occasionally halt and move backwards a few feet. It can only slow down before speeding up again. Trump is out because voters are now content with a party that kills babies at birth and promotes nearly all forms of sexual perversion. We need to pray that the Senate remains under Republican control to delay total depravity.

Last week I wrote an article on the record hurricane events to show that we are clearly living in the last days. The day after I posted my article, I read about tropical cyclone Gati making landfall in Somalia, setting four more new records:

It was the strongest tropical cyclone ever measured in the northern Indian Ocean.

It’s the first recorded instance of a hurricane-strength system hitting the nation of Somalia.

Gati broke numerous records for rainfall by generally dropping two years’ worth of rain in a 48-hour period.

Its intensification from about 40 mph to 115 mph was the largest 12-hour increase on record for a tropical cyclone in the Indian Ocean.

I need to address a couple general issues related to the site. The first one related to things going haywire on RR. Because we were forced to move to a database system three years ago, we have to contend with various glitches that manifest themselves from time to time. I remember about a year ago, the server suddenly decided to display a version of the site from 4 years in the past. If you see something that is broken or acting odd, please let me know.

The second issue deals with people who have written for us who have their own site that conflicts with general views posted here on RR. As a general rule, we don’t endorse any site by any of our authors because we don’t have the time to regulate things outside what we post on RR.

The vast majority of authors share our core beliefs, but when we do have a conflict, it has to be judged on a case-by-case basis. We once posted work by a man who wrote very good financial articles. I was fine with the fact that he held to a post-trib view. When he wrote a book that basically said that being a pretribulationist is an unforgivable sin, I cut all ties with him.

Earlier this month I had to deal with an issue with one of our writers being attacked on another site because they didn’t like her tone of voice toward unbelievers. The world is in full-stage meltdown mode, and the left is out shopping for guillotines to use on their enemy (us). Some Christians must think the only way to make up for not doing anything to prevent this calamity is to start policing the views of fellow believers.

Last quarter in our letter to donors, I said we are going to greatly expand our advertising budget. We have had tremendous success in maintaining our audience and drawing new viewers to the site. A couple years ago, when all the major social media and the search engines began to shadow ban nearly all Christian sites, I thought my 31-year run was about to end. We will now end 2020 as the busiest year going back at least a decade.

If you are someone who found the site because of the people who made our ability to advertise possible, please consider joining them in helping to keep this beacon of end-time hope alive. I see this election as a clear indication from God that we are past the point of no return. Every day we now wake up, it should be a surprise to us that we are still here on earth.

Division and the Two-edged Sword

The monumental film produced by Cecil B. DeMille, The Ten Commandments, continues to carom within the memories of those still living who first saw it on the silver screen. The movie continues to be shown around Christian holidays, and it’s still a magnificent production, even on the screens of televisions and laptops.

Who could forget the very finger of God—as portrayed in the film as lightning from Heaven—carving the Ten Commandments for conducting life on this fallen planet upon the tablets of stone?

While Moses fearfully cowered, scarcely looking up, the mountainside exploded as the tablets were cut out with heavenly, surgical precision. Charlton Heston, as Moses, then very tentatively picked the tablets from their place and followed God’s directive to return to the Israelite people below the mountain where he stood. They were greatly engaged in sin, the Lord told Moses.

Heston (Moses) came to the base camp, where the thousands and thousands of Israelites were engaging in an unbridled orgy. Naked and dancing around the golden calf they had fashioned for worship, the sight was cutting-edge filmmaking for that early period of movie production.

Moses was heartbroken to see the people in such a debauched state. He was more angered than heartbroken, however. He screamed at the people for their evil doings, shouting, “Choose you this day whom you will serve!” He called for those who were with Him to come to his side.

Moses then divided the masses of people, many of whom hurriedly moved, terror-stricken, to his side. Others remained defiant and stayed where they were in order to continue their debauchery and golden calf worship.

Moses’ anger arose to an even greater level; he raised the tablets carved by the hand of God and flung them at the crowd of unbelieving rebels. We remember how the earth began to shake and crumble in front of the defiant mass of people. The ground gave way beneath them and swallowed them all.

The Lord had used His man, Moses, to separate those who believed from those who would never believe, no matter what the circumstances. Even when they had seen the magnificent hand of God divide the Red Sea so they could pass through, and had witnessed the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to guide them, they wouldn’t believe. That is, they might have head knowledge, but not heart/spirit knowledge of who God is. Neither did they want to know.

There is a division taking place even as I write this and as you read it. And, God is again using a man, I believe, to divide those who will believe from those who will not believe in His way of comportment for humankind His only way for the salvation of the souls of lost mankind.

Donald J. Trump—certainly no Moses, in character, and not having had the Commandments handed him directly from God’s throne—nonetheless is chosen. In the vein of Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus, he is chosen to separate the wheat from the tares, the sheep from the goats, so to speak.

He has been a divisive figure in America’s political realm and culture like no other president, with the exception of Lincoln. And Lincoln was chosen, but obviously for a different purpose, although one as important in the sense of human freedom.

Trump’s purpose, in my view…well…“trumps” that of Lincoln in advocating for Israel, anti-abortion, and constitutional rights with regard to religious freedom.

Now, I fully realize that unless your view is biblical and from the point of view that God is hands-on and not existential, you see as foolish our believing that these tremendous upheavals of culture we have endured stem from spiritual chaos. I understand that in your thinking, the so-called revolution represented by the likes of BLM and Antifa and the raging hatred against Trump and our wanting things to be back to America as founded is righteous revolutionary action.

And this is where the division is at the moment. It is a schism running smack down the middle of the United States of America. There are decisions to be made upon the political spectrum, and people for the most part have made it.

But it is the spiritual elements within the American cultural and societal dividing line—that national earthquake fault line where lies the true danger in these troublous times. It is God who defines where to stand on either side of that fault line.

Now, I am fully aware that the story of Moses coming down from the mountain, finding the evil, and acting as God’s hand of judgment in slamming the tablets of Law into the fault line of that time involved His dealing with His chosen people, Israel. But His dealing with Israel, the Bible tells us in total context of His making Israel His chosen nation, was to place before the eyes of the world a prototype people. These are the people He chose to serve as example for the rest of the world’s nations to, in general, comport themselves. So in that regard God’s righteous anger still arises—and against all peoples—when evil reaches its final stages.

There comes a time that a dividing line is drawn—an earthquake fault line of sorts is defined for the whole world to see.

It is my contention that that moment might be upon us now. There is a distinct line of division down the middle of America at present. God has dealt with Israel and America in special ways, I believe. The two nations’ close links since Israel’s rebirth—indeed, America’s amazing history of birth and extraordinary achievements as apex nation of history—is nothing short of Heaven-directed.

So the chaos, created by the rebels who want to do what is right in their own eyes—like the golden-calf-worshipping folks of antiquity—has great relevance, I’m convinced. The Lord of Heaven is deliberately making manifest the division between those who will come to Him and those who are diametrically opposed to His governance.

Trump, unwittingly, I have no doubt, is a type of Moses, in that process of saying symbolically, “Choose you this day whom you will serve”—or at least “Choose you this day whom you will not oppose.”

God’s Word has the only TRUTH that exists. In that love letter to mankind, the Creator has given all that is needed to go through life in the way He has prescribed. It is a blueprint for life more abundant, and full of light to illuminate dark pathways. Jesus is that Light of the world. He is also the Living Word. Here is what that Word tells us about division in God’s holy view.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews4: 12)

Millennia and DNA separates those people of Moses day from our time. But God’s ways change not in the ultimate sense. We can take the God-inspired words of Scripture and apply them at this very hour. There is a separation coming. The spiritual fault line and the historical dividing line are before us. It is time to choose.

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24: 15)

Faith or Fear? :: By Nathele Graham

It seems that everyone is upset today. No matter where you turn, you hear political mumbo-jumbo, pandemic scares, anger in the streets, evil inflicted upon babies, ungodly lifestyles, and much more. Sin is rampant. That’s all we hear… sin, hate, chaos. Godly values are vilified while satanic ways are embraced. All of this evil can begin to wear away at people, and fear can cause many sleepless nights. What’s wrong with that picture?

The fear that is generated by the news media should have no effect upon Christians. The media can talk all they want, but none of their doom and gloom should shatter our hope and faith in Jesus Christ. Maybe the trouble is that we have a hearing problem… instead of hearing God’s voice, we only hear Satan’s voice speaking through worldly people doing worldly things. Brothers and sisters, we need to openly speak of our faith in order to calm fear and encourage each other.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

To hear the voice of the Lord, pray, study Scripture, and fellowship with other Christians. When you hear God’s truth, you’ll reinforce your faith and will block the fear-mongers of this Satanic world from discouraging you. When others hear your faith in these troubled times, you will be an influence on them.

The news media jabbers on 24/7, and we listen. There’s a frenzy of misinformation. In trying to be the first to break news to the world, they throw out “facts” as fast as the speed of the internet. Then, when the “facts” change, they retract their first fable and throw out other “facts”, which will change before the day is over. It’s all liberal lies. It all creates confusion, which leads to fear. On the other hand, if we listen to Christians standing upon God’s word, our fear is quelled.

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints” (1 Corinthians 14:33).

Who do you listen to? If you only hear the chaotic voice of Satan, then your fear will rise. Hearing God’s voice will calm your fears and build your faith. We need to share our faith with non-believers in order to bring them to the saving grace found only through Jesus. We also need to share with fellow Christians. When we share our faith with other believers, we encourage each other to be strong in the Lord. I use prophecy a lot when speaking with fellow believers, because God is in control and prophecy proves He knows exactly what’s happening – because He told us it would happen. It’s easy to be afraid when you’re alone, but knowing there are others near you who have rock-solid faith in Jesus Christ can allow our fear to fade. Don’t stop fellowshipping with other Christians. We need each other.

Paul wrote his letters to the Thessalonians in order to calm their fears. False teaching had trickled in, and these teachings caused confusion and fear. The believers in Thessalonica had been the first to hear about the Rapture, which gave them a sense of peace and hope. Paul had only been with them for three weeks, but in that short time he shared the Gospel, established a congregation, and taught deep spiritual truths. Unfortunately, many pastors today don’t preach the Gospel, let alone mention the Rapture.

From reading Paul’s letters to these Christians, we can see that their faith was true, and they served the Lord. They also saw members of their congregation die. Many were being severely persecuted, and some were martyred… the result of tribulation caused by a corrupt and evil government. They were watching and waiting for the Rapture to take them away from it all, just as we should be doing. Then, false teaching began to enter and caused fear. Instead of remembering what they had heard from Paul, they began to fear they had somehow missed the Rapture. This is similar to the false teaching of today that there will be no Rapture. The congregation in Thessalonica was worried and fearful. Instead of faith giving them peace, false teaching was making them afraid. Paul wrote to reassure them and calm their fears.

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand” (2 Thessalonians 2:1-2).

The Christians in Thessalonica listened to things that caused them fear, and their faith was shaken. They didn’t have MSNBC to feed them lies, but the same spirit of evil existed then as exists now. Paul encouraged them and reiterated the sequence of events leading to the Great Tribulation. The Rapture would happen first.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).

First, there will be a falling away. There’s some discussion as to whether Paul meant a departure as in Christians departing in the Rapture, or a falling away from faith as in worldly Christians that care more about secular pleasures than God’s truth. Other Scriptures make it clear that both are true. Today, we see many people turning away from Christianity and mocking God, even when sitting in a pew, standing behind a pulpit, or calling yourself the pope. These are people described in Revelation chapter 3 as the Laodicean congregation.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

When the Rapture happens, if you individually haven’t opened the door to Christ, you will be left to face horrors of the Great Tribulation. After the Rapture, the man of sin will set himself up as God Almighty. He’s NOT God Almighty but possessed of Satan. We know that the temple has to be rebuilt in order for him to sit in the temple of God, and that could happen very soon. This passage, as well as many other prophetic passages, tells us that time is getting short and the Rapture is on the near horizon. We need to keep our faith in God and believe His word. That faith will dispel fear.

Do you speak openly of your faith? Many people today are afraid, and only God’s truth can bring an inner peace. Speak up because people need to hear the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope that it brings. As a Christian, can you explain that to someone? First, we’re all sinners. Adam’s sin put a chasm between humans and God. We had no way to go to Him because of our unrighteousness and sin. Instead, He came to us.

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Romans 3:21-26).

All sin can be forgiven through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but you have to admit you’re a sinner and change your mind about sin. Instead of embracing that which separates you from God, repent and embrace Jesus Christ for salvation. The time for repentance is swiftly ticking away. Accept Christ and turn your fear into faith.

Every believer needs to study prophecy. That means studying both the Old Testament and the New. Understanding the times in which we live can take the fear out of what’s happening around us. God gave us prophecy for a reason. Studying prophecy won’t make the future in this life rosier, but it will give you a road map of what’s to come. Just like when traveling down the highway and your gas gauge is almost to empty, you can find hope and peace in seeing signs that a gas station lies ahead.

We are rapidly moving towards the final seven years of earth’s history. That will be a time filled with horrors unlike anything seen before. Prophecy makes that very clear. Jesus said that there will be many frightening things that lead up to the Great Tribulation, and we are seeing those things happening quickly. That means the Rapture is very near. Every generation thinks they are the final one, but no generation until now has seen so many prophetic signs fulfilled. Israel being back in their God-given land is a major milestone in prophecy. Peter encouraged the study of prophecy. He had seen many wonderous sights as he walked the Holy Land with Jesus, but it’s prophecy he says to pay attention to.

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but by the Holy Ghost” (2 Peter 1:19-21).

Fear of the dark is dispelled by a light… Satanic darkness is dispelled by the Light of God. As we move through the dark times in which we live, the light of God’s word will calm our fears. Only Biblical prophecy will give us light and help us to see that our Lord will call us Home soon.

Have faith… don’t fear. You have the choice between living in fear or living by faith. Choose faith.

God bless you all,
