The Left’s Fixation with Tucker Carlson

I rarely watch the Tucker Carlson show on Fox News. My TV viewing time is down to about five minutes each day when I watch the national news. It deeply concerns me that dozens of liberal media outlets and the Biden administration are fixated on everything Tucker has to say.

Tucker Carlson Tonight is the top show in cable news, averaging 2.81 million total viewers, followed by Hannity with 2.59 million, and The Five with 2.53 million. The closest show from the left is The Rachel Maddow Show with 2.27 million.

Carlson has weathered waves of ad boycotts by the efforts of other networks to badger companies to stop running ads on Carlson’s show. CNN openly supports efforts to boycott its rivals and does not see a problem with using mafia tactics to control the flow of news.

Ad boycotts won’t work because ads only bring in a portion of major networks’ income. Unlike advertising revenue, cable fees are more guaranteed and split among channels carried by providers like Comcast or Spectrum. Those proceeds for Fox come from cable subscribers regardless of whether they ever tune in.

While cable fees continue to fall as more Americans cut the cord, Carlson is at the center of the network’s streaming strategy with his new talk show “Tucker Carlson Today” and long-form documentary series “Tucker Carlson Originals,” both of which are behind a paywall on the FOX Nation app.

Tucker has addressed the topic of “cancel culture” several times. “In January, Simon & Schuster — the gargantuan publishing house — canceled a book by a senator from Missouri, Josh Hawley, because a mob of democratic activists told them to,” said Carlson.

Salon.com tried to argue that he undermined his own argument and should be canceled for misrepresenting the truth. I think salon.com should be canceled for stupidity. Democratic activists have gotten all types of books banned or canceled because they differ from the leftist ideology. The Nazis banned books, but at least they were mostly honest about their reasons.

Tucker Carlson is often called a White Supremacist. And He’s giving Fox viewers exactly what they want. Carlson is labeled a white supremacist because he rejects replacement theory, Black Lives Matter, and a host of other racist leftist organizations.

When the Mayor of Chicago Lori Lightfoot said she would only do interviews with reporters from minority races, Carlson was right to call out her bigotry. Lightfoot claims that 99 percent of her critics are motivated by racism or sexism.

With nearly 2,000 people shot so far, 2021 is Chicago’s deadliest year in more than a decade. Lightfoot deserves to be criticized because she has been a horrible mayor. She’s too busy looking into the past to see the problems of today:

“Look at my predecessors. Did people say that Rich Daley held tea sessions with people that he didn’t disagree on? Rahm Emanuel was a polite guy who was a uniter? No. Women and people of color are always held to a different standard,” Lightfoot said.

Last week, Carlson said that The National Security Agency (NSA) has been monitoring the communications between members of his crew with the intention of getting the show canceled. An NSA Whistleblower revealed to Carlson that the Biden Admin was spying on him. The NSA responded to the claims with a blanket statement:

“NSA has a foreign intelligence mission. We target foreign powers to generate insights on foreign activities that could harm the United States. With limited exceptions (e.g., an emergency), NSA may not target a US citizen without a court order that explicitly authorizes the targeting.”

It is troubling that the NSA is a secret organization that allows no replies to any allegations. The NSA has used this same deceit for years: they can spy on US citizens’ communications without “targeting” the American. The NSA has extremely broad authorities to collect communications without “targeting” a person.

When Biden won and we lost control of the senate, I thought the Democrats would quickly turn America into a Soviet-style Gulag. God has kept the Democrats in a perfect state of confusion, which has kept things amazingly stable. People like Carlson are being used to hold back the darkness that the enemy craves to operate in. The only reasonable answer to “Why is God still restraining?” is the rapture.

“I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you” (Exodus 23:27, New King James Version).

Is the Time at Hand?

One can almost physically feel evil’s powerful pull at the godly restraints imposed by Heaven’s Love and wisdom. Wickedness exerts its mesmerizing influence on this generation from its high places, inducing an insanity that can only be defined as the reprobate mind given in Romans 1:28.

Those of us fifty years of age or older can but blink and wonder at the upside-down world as it continues to descend into a madness of sorts. Those younger, for the most part, don’t seem to notice the deliberate deconstruction of all we of the 50-plus generation recognize and by which we are vexed.

I refer to such developments in America as the following.

* Disdain for human life in the form of abortion.

* The slaughter of babies in their mother’s wombs doesn’t seem to matter to more than half of our numbers. The younger generation –the baby-producing ages—especially don’t seem to notice and care. (And I realize that there are those who do care about the unborn among this age. But they are in the minority, and a significant minority at that.)

* Disregard for formerly moral principles.

* Marital status means nothing to a growing percentage of America’s population. Statistics bear it out. Sexual activity outside of the marriage bond is as common as any other entertaining, social activity.

* Embrace of homosexuality as more normal than heterosexuality is now the “enlightened” view.

* The norming of same-gender sexual relations has over powered today’s culture in a brief time. If one doesn’t embrace the social construct that biblical      prohibitions are no longer relevant and that it is perfectly normal for men to have sex with men and women with women, then it is the one holding such an outmoded view who is the great sinner, not those who are “enlightened.”

* Welcome of new thought in adult-children sexual relations is a growing reality within progressive ideology. –Thus although there is no realization that such thought is not new at all, but is as ancient as every civilization that has lived and died.

* Such organizations as the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), which was not too long ago seen as among the most disgusting and perverted of groups, now are considered acceptable under growingly lenient circumstances. It all depends upon whether such relationships as adults and children being sexually involved are “consensual”–which in itself is as reprobate a concept as any that could be devised, in this writer’s view.

Thankfully there are Christian and other groups organized against this pedophile movement to normalize such filthy and evil activity. But it is a satanically driven trend that will not be stopped as mankind devolves ever deeper into total depravity.

Even public libraries and schools are becoming ever more involved in this movement to bring adults and children together in this unholy way.

Dolly Madison Library in Fairfax, Virginia has invited preschoolers, babies and toddlers to attend ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ to celebrate ‘Pride Month.’

“Celebrate Pride Month by attending Drag Storybook Hour cosponsored by Fairfax County Public Library and The McLean Community Center. Registration required. All Ages.”…

The event will take place on Saturday, June 26 from 10:30 am to 11:15 am.

Event planners invited “babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.”…

The Fairfax Republican party slammed the library for inviting young children to Drag Story Hour in celebration of pride month.

And the powerful tug of that luciferian hand, pulling this generation farther from godly restraint, manifests in the arena of commerce. All who want to live under a more moral society and culture are increasingly marginalized by the wicked forces of earthly, financial power.

Amazon, which is on track to be America’s largest retailer next year, launched its charity program Amazon Smile in 2013. The company has banned multiple conservative organizations since then, because it relies on the anti-conservative Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to decide what groups qualify for the program.

WORLD News Group reported in 2020 that “Liberty Counsel, Family Research Council (FRC) and the American College of Pediatricians” are not allowed on Amazon Smile. Alliance Defending Freedom was reportedly removed from the site as well. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter, and The Satanic Temple are all free to collect donations from the program.

The AmazonSmile program is fairly simple. “Shop at smile.amazon.com and we’ll donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to your favorite charitable organization—no fees, no extra cost,” the website explained. However, Amazon will not let just any charity into the program. “Organizations that engage in, support, encourage, or promote intolerance, hate, terrorism, violence, money laundering, or other illegal activities are not eligible to participate. Amazon relies on the US Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Southern Poverty Law Center to determine which registered charities fall into these groups,” AmazonSmile’s about page said.

***[Source: From Planned Parenthood to Satanism, AmazonSmile encourages shoppers to donate to some extreme charities — at least 216 different groups. But multiple prominent conservative groups aren’t even allowed to participate, by Kayla Sargent, NewsBusters.org]***

We know, of course, who are the “intolerant” in today’s definition of the term. Christian organizations, in particular, are not allowed to participate in the charitable largesse of the beneficent Amazon money masters.

The transgender  curriculum is becoming ubiquitous throughout the nation’s public school systems. Children in grade school are taught that God’s Word, the Bible, is wrong. That they can be whatsoever gender they wish.

And as parents begin to catch on to this type of hellish inculcation and attend school board meetings to protest, the school officials in some cases are contriving ways to obfuscate their nefarious doings.

The following news link brief on Rapture Ready News frames this attempt to deceive.

Teachers told to give fake curriculum to parents who complain of ‘indoctrination’
Amid complaints from parents that their children are being “indoctrinated,” a Missouri school district official is advising English teachers to create a fake curriculum and keep the real one hidden.

Another such brief on a link further emphasizes the satanic tug at the knot teeing this generation to the last vestiges of its moral moorings.

Planned Parenthood sex-ed flyer telling 11-year-olds they could have sex, as long as the partner isn’t older than 13, distributed in WA public school
A flyer telling 11-year-olds that they can have sex, as long as the person isn’t older than 13, was distributed earlier this week to students at Stewart Middle School in Tacoma, WA.

All of this means that the stench of these end times must be singeing the nostrils of a Holy God. It is more than appropriate to ask if this is not that time He forewarned of in the one book we are promised His blessing if we read and heed. Is that time at hand?

“And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” (Rev. 22: 10-21)

The Rapture is Real :: By Jonathan Brentner

I will never forget sitting in church listening to an assistant pastor mock the rapture. Up to that point, I had assumed that I was attending a premillennial church where the only debate regarding the rapture was its timing. But as I learned from my follow-up email conversation with this man, such was not the case. He told me that he held to an amillennial viewpoint and did not believe in the rapture.

Since that encounter, I have come to the conclusion that one cannot say he or she believes the Bible and at the same time assert that the rapture is not a biblical event.

Please allow me to explain why this is true.

The Rapture is a True Biblical Event

The event we refer to as the “rapture” is an actual biblical event for which the apostles provide much supporting detail.

The word “rapture” comes to us from a Latin translation of the Bible from about AD 400 called The Vulgate. The Vulgate uses the Latin word rapturo to translate the Greek word harpazo in 1 Thessalonians 4:17.

Starting sometime in the late 1800s, Bible teachers began using the word “rapture” to describe the event Paul wrote about in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 as well as in 1 Corinthians 15:50-56 and Philippians 3:20-21. These students of Scripture chose a word, based on the ancient Latin translation of the Bible, to describe the event that the apostle Paul wrote about in these texts and also referred to in many other passages.

The rapture is the “blessed hope” of Titus 2:11-14; it’s the means of our deliverance from ‘the day of the Lord’ wrath as the Lord promises us in 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 and 5:1-10.

Jesus’ appearing to take us home to glory is the substance of our hope in a troubled world. It’s critical that we understand it and not dismiss it as though it’s not essential to our Gospel hope or cast it aside as something not important to our faith. The rapture is the substance of our hope as we journey through a dark and increasingly dangerous world.

What Happens at the Time of the Rapture?

Here are the key elements of the event we refer to as the “rapture”:

  1. The rapture will begin with Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 begins with these words, “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven.” That’s why the apostles often referred to it as “Jesus’ appearing.” He sets everything in motion as He returns with “those who have fallen asleep” in Christ (1 Thess. 4:14).
  2. We will hear Jesus’ voice and the sound of a trumpet. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 also tells us that Jesus “will descend … with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.” I believe that all of us who are in Christ will hear these sounds; I am not sure about those who do not know Him.
  3. The dead in Christ will rise first (1 Thess. 4:16). Jesus will raise from the dead all those who have died “in Christ” from the Day of Pentecost to the time of the rapture. They will be the first to meet the Lord in the air as Jesus joins their resurrected bodies with their souls.

The resurrection of church-age saints happens immediately at the start of the rapture.

  1. The Lord will give immortal and imperishable bodies to believers who are alive at the time of the rapture (Phil. 3:20-21; 1 Cor. 15:51-53). This will be our resurrection in a sense as we receive glorified bodies that will never get sick, grow old, or die.
  2. The rapture will happen quickly! For those of us who are alive at the time of the rapture, the change in our bodies will happen “in the twinkling of an eye” (1 Cor. 15:52). We will instantly receive our glorified bodies.
  3. At the same moment He gives us immortal bodies, Jesus will catch up those of us “who are alive, who are left … in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thess. 4:17). We will join those saints resurrected from the dead, and we will forever “be with the Lord.”
  4. Our destination will be heaven. In John 14:3, Jesus said, “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” The Lord is preparing a place in heaven, and He will take us there when He appears. Later, in John 17:24, we see that one of Jesus’ requests in what we call His “high priestly prayer” was that someday we would see the glory He possessed “before the foundation of the world.”

I love the way Colossians 3:4 puts it: “When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” When the rapture occurs, we will appear in glory, aka paradise. In other words, it signifies our departure from earth to heaven.

The above seven points provide a brief summary of what we will experience when Jesus comes to take us home. All these things make up the event that we as believers refer to as the “rapture.” It is a wholly biblical occurrence; it will happen just as the Bible says it will.

The Only Matter Open for Debate is the Timing

Most of us who are premillennialists place the rapture before the start of the seven-year tribulation. Premillennialists are those who hold to a literal understanding of biblical prophecy that includes the seven-year tribulation and thousand-year reign of Jesus.

Some premillennialists, however, place the rapture in the middle of the tribulation or toward the end of it. The biblical description of Jesus’ return for His church clearly differentiates it from the Second Coming. The two cannot be the same event.

I have written much in support of a pretribulation rapture. You can find two more recent posts on this matter by clicking here and here.

The rapture is not a “third-order” doctrine that we must shelve in order to preserve unity with other saints. No, that’s what the scoffers tell us (2 Peter 3:1-4; Jude 18-19); they are wrong!

Paul commands us to “encourage one another” with the hope we possess in the rapture (1 Thess. 4:18, 5:11). In other words, the Lord intends for us to build up each other in the faith with our shared hope in Jesus’ appearing to take us home to heaven.

How is mutual encouragement based on the rapture even remotely possible if we relegate it to quiet backroom discussions so as not to stir up controversy in the body of Christ?

The Rapture is the Substance of Our Hope

Let’s dig a bit deeper into this hope that the Lord tells us to use in encouraging “one another” (1 Thess. 4:18, 5:11).

The rapture is our “blessed hope”; it’s the hope into which Jesus saves us. I say this based on the words of Romans 8:23-25:

“And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

In the above passage, Paul connects the “redemption of our bodies,” which, as we saw, happens at the time of the rapture, with the “hope” of the Gospel. The resurrection event for all New Testament saints happens at Jesus’ return for His church, the rapture. It’s at this time He will redeem our bodies by giving us immortal ones that will never perish or grow old (1 Cor. 15:51-55).

That’s why I like to refer to Jesus’ appearing as the “Gospel future.”

We see further evidence of the close association of the Gospel with the rapture in 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10. There, the apostle reported how the Thessalonians “turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven….” These new believers immediately placed their hope in the rapture.

During Paul’s stay in Thessalonica, the rapture was Gospel 101. He did not divorce our hope in Jesus’ appearing from his proclamation of the good news as almost everyone does today. It was front and center in his preaching.

The New Testament saints eagerly awaited Jesus’ appearing (Phil. 3:20-21; 1 Cor. 1:7-8, 15:50-56; 1 John 3:1-3). It constituted the substance of their hope; it signified the time when they would experience the eternal life that became theirs through faith.

I cannot say when the rapture will occur because I do not know. As believers, we may face increasing persecution because of our faith and perhaps suffer physically as a result. Or Jesus may come for us this very day.

Regardless of what the future holds, we trust God’s sovereignty and grace. Because the Lord remains in control of all things, we can rest in His promise to take us home before the start of the tribulation. Because of His grace, we know that we will forever experience joy in His presence as the result of His favor that we most certainly do not deserve (see Ps. 16:11; Eph. 2:1-7).

In my email discussions with the associate pastor at the church I formerly attended, he told me that at one time he agreed with the pretribulation rapture position after a pastor took him through the biblical passages pertaining to it. However, after reading a few books by amillennial authors, he ditched both his premillennial and pretribulation views in favor of what he read outside of God’s Word. His new understanding came from human wisdom rather than the words of the Bible.

When we look to Scripture, however, we see that the rapture is indeed a real biblical event. It’s not something that coincides with human wisdom, but it’s something the Lord revealed to His apostles (1 Thess. 4:15; 1 Cor. 15:51a) so that we might have hope and encourage each other regardless of what we face as we journey through a hostile world to our home up above.
