As many as a dozen conservatives, many wearing Make America Great Again caps, were attacked by Antifa thugs outside Twitter headquarters. A police officer was also injured after Antifa pelted the group with rocks, bottles and other debris. The conservatives had gathered to protest Twitter’s decision to target conservatives and ban content that reflected negatively on Biden.
“Die in A Fire”: “Professional, Objective” Twitter Employees’ Hatred of Trump Exposed. Twitter claims not to be biased, but that’s bull. There has been plenty of anti-Trump content of questionable veracity that managed to slip by Twitter’s censors. Twitter employees have posted hysterical hatred of the president and his supporters. “GET HIM OUT,” posted a senior site reliability engineer, “What a f–ing baboon.” One manager hoped the president would “be utterly humiliated while also suffering greatly from COVID,” and fantasized about the president on a ventilator. He calls Trump “a f–ing idiot” and voters who elected him “hysterically f–ing stupid people.” One Twitter engineering manager said Trump should “die in a fire” in a 2017 tweet. A year later on New Year’s, he said, “Happy 2018! Donald Trump is dead!” None of these comments have been flagged by Twitter even as it dishes out discipline to others for sharing legitimate news stories that might hurt Biden.

FDA Approves Gilead’s Remdesivir To Treat COVID-19 Despite Data Showing Drug Doesn’t Work. Despite reams of data from an international WHO study raising questions about its efficacy, the FDA has approved Gilead Science’s remdesivir – a powerful antiviral originally developed to treat Ebola – for the treatment of COVID, making it the first such drug approved to treat the virus in the US. The FDA first granted emergency authorization in May, allowing hospitals and doctors to use the drug even though by all accounts it wasn’t widely used. President Trump received one course of remdesivir along with several other therapies after contracting the virus. Doctors also gave him dexamethasone, a steroid that has a much better track record for treating the virus, according to available data. Trump also received an experimental drug from Regeneron, which, along with Eli Lilly, has filed for emergency use approval for its COVID antibody treatment.

An early-season winter storm hit the northern U.S. this week, breaking scores of snowfall records in Montana, Iowa, and Minnesota, where more than 1,100 road accidents were reported due to heavy snow. Tuesday’s snowstorm was the largest early-season storm in Minnesota in 140 years. This was also the second-largest snowfall in October, following the 1991 Halloween snowstorm. A deepening upper-level trough and a surge of cold Canadian air has now set the stage for yet another early-season winter storm and more rounds of snow through early next week, possibly as far south as Texas.
