FAQ :: What is Daniel’s Seventieth Week?

The seventieth week of Daniel is the seven-year Tribulation. It begins with “this prince that shall come” (Daniel 9:26). The coming Antichrist will make a firm covenant with many (Israel), for one week, or for a period of seven years .In the middle of that seven year period the Antichrist will be put to death but will come back to life as prophesied in Revelation 13. He will break the covenant with Israel and become the absolute dictator of the world for the final three and one half years of the Tribulation.

“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate” (Daniel 9:27).

“Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood we have hidden ourselves” (Isaiah 28:15).
