FAQ :: How can I gain God’s blessings?

God blesses the righteous and their homes. That means being mindful of godly principals and not living selfishly, but living to please the Lord. When we are blessed we in turn should bless others and not only those who bless us but those who curse and persecute us (Matthew 5.43-48; Romans 12.14).Revenge is something a Christian must never take. We must never pay back evil for evil, and should not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. We are also to live at peace with everyone (Romans 12.17-21). We must love everyone as we love ourselves (Leviticus 19.18; Matthew 19.19). To bless someone is to treat them with love in words and in deeds.

“The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just” (Proverbs 3:33).

Keeping God’s precepts for godly living in the forefront of each day will reap many blessings. God also tells us in Scripture that we should “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and we will be blessed:

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you” (Psalm 122:6).
