Weather Concerns
US: Winter Storm Gia is spreading snow and ice from the plains and Midwest to the East Coast this weekend. Many hundreds have been stranded on interstates, and there have been hundreds of vehicle accidents. As of this writing, five people have been killed in crashes on slick roadways in Kansas and Missouri.
As for next weekend: There are concerns for a more far-reaching Arctic blast and winter storm unfolding this coming Friday and into the weekend. Meteorologists will provide more details in the coming days, but latest indications point toward a storm sweeping snow and ice from the central Plains to a large swath of the Northeast. If the storm tracks far enough to the south, the Carolinas could be dealt with another round of disruptive wintry weather as rain soaks the rest of the South. “Business, schools and travel will all be impacted from this storm.” In its wake, temperatures can be held below zero F for two entire days in the far northern Plains around next Friday to Saturday.
Europe: The death toll has now climbed to 21 from weather-related incidents this week as snow buried countries across Europe, along with strong winds and below zero temperatures. Arctic conditions are expected to last several more days.
Creation Groaning
Earth’s magnetic pole is on the move faster these days, supposedly. According to the science journal Nature, something strange is going on deep down below. It’s causing the magnetic North Pole to ‘skitter’ away from Canada, towards Siberia. According to Answers in Genesis, Earth’s magnetic decay is further proof of a young Earth.
A rare January tornado touched down in Ohio on Tuesday with 100 mph winds. It is very uncommon for tornadoes to occur in this part of the country during January. A building was damaged and trees were knocked down. There have only been six January tornadoes in the past 60 years in this state.
—Volcanoes; Earthquakes in Diverse Places
In Papua, New Guinea, A series of tremors triggered a warning system on Monday, and the volcano began erupting shortly after, pummeling villages on a remote island with volcanic rock.
The Stromboli volcano off the coast of Sicily dramatically increased its activity this week, strong enough to be visible on satellite imagery.
In Indonesia, satellite radar observations this week showed that the Anak Krakatoa volcano is continuing to evolve. Further eruptions are remodeling the remnant structure.
Earthquake activity has been high this week with a number of them over 6.0 striking in the ocean in diverse places. The 6.8 in Brazil struck in the Amazon rainforest. What was unusual about the 3.7 earthquake in Mississippi is that it was the strongest earthquake to occur in the state since 1967.

In Britain, lawyers for a Jewish father, Shraga Stern, have written to the education minister warning that guidelines to force schools to actively promote same-sex marriage and trangenderism breaches religious freedom provisions under European human rights law. “Starbucks addicts” has taken on a whole new meaning. Now, customers can drink their expensive swill while watching junkies come inside and shoot up in the bathrooms. Blood gets spurted on the walls, and they leave their used syringes and empty drug baggies on the counters and floor. Some employees have been exposed to AIDs and Hepatitis. So, Starbucks is installing Needle-disposable boxes. The boxes will be installed in various locations as needed.

He said they were “big, gorgeous, beautiful buildings where the Lord is clearly at work.”

Reformation Charlotte has obtained the audio of the Worship Director of the Presbyterian (PCA) South City Church in St. Louis preaching a “transgender Jesus” in 2015. More recently, the church has invited a transgender rights activist in a lesbian relationship to teach the members of their church and anyone else who wants to join how to “celebrate the lives of transgender people….” “Mainstream” churches are sliding down the slippery slope.
Contrary to the claim by Pope Francis and some clergy that the sexual abuse problems in the Catholic Church stem from “clericalism” — excessive deference to priests and bishops — German Cardinal Walter Brandmuller said the fundamental problem is homosexuality in the priesthood. He stressed that it’s a statistical fact that 80% of the abuse cases over the decades involved gay priests sexually abusing boys, ages 11 to 17.

A pioneering cancer expert died suddenly yesterday after a routine inoculation for yellow fever. Martin Gore, 67, suffered total organ failure soon after having the shot recommended for travelers to parts of Africa, Caribbean and South and Central America. His death highlights the increased risks associated with the vaccine for the growing number of older travelers.

Newly-elected foul-mouthed Muslim Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (Dem-MI) gave a radical speech and declared the ‘war cry of Allah’ at a reception for terror-tied CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) on Thursday. Tlaib spoke for 7 minutes, and not once did she say the word “American.” Tlaib did however, say the words “Muslim,” “Islam” and “Palestinian” several times. The only time she said “The United States” was when she trashed President Trump.
Known Jew-hater Linda Sarsour viciously attacked opponents of so-called “Palestine” on a panel at the 2018 Islamic Society of North America convention in Houston. She told the Muslim crowd not to “humanize” oppressors of “Palestine.”
Los Angeles Times columnist Robin Abcarian praised Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan in her weekly column while attacking President Trump. We now have liberal leaders openly defending this infamous anti-Semite and notorious racist.

France’s Prime Minister Philippe announced plans to punish those who hold unsanctioned protests which are now in their eighth weekend. He said 80,000 members of the security forces would be deployed. It’s too bad Europe didn’t wake up sooner to the global government agenda.

Syria says Israeli airstrikes hit a warehouse at Damascus airport on Saturday.
The Israeli air force hit several targets in the Gaza Strip after terrorists fired a rocket into Israel.
The leader of the “Palestinian’ Islamic Jihad (Iran’s proxy in Gaza), said in an interview on Iranian TV that there’s a plan among multiple Islamic forces to join together in a multi-front attack on Israel.
Senior Iranian officials say terror groups Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza (sponsored by the Islamic Republic in Iran) have been so thoroughly armed that they can “annihilate” Israel in any future conflict.
Russia’s Defense Ministry outlined draft legislation that would allow Russian forces to shoot down civilian passenger planes that happen to enter the country’s airspace.
Russia and Iran are planning joint naval exercises in the Caspian Sea “in the near future.”

Other Prayer Concerns
Several police officers have been killed this week in the US and abroad. The gunman on a bicycle who shot and killed the officer in California while she was responding to a traffic accident also shot at other first responders before fleeing.
In France, two firefighters and a civilian were killed and dozens more were injured after a gas leak caused an explosion at a bakery in Paris on Saturday.
