EPIDEMICS

Experts are saying we should be more concerned about the flu than the spread of China’s new corona virus. Are we over-panicking? Could it be all those hazmat suits? And the US and other countries taking such precautions to screen travelers coming back from China? A multitude of people visit China during the Chinese New Year celebrations this time of year, and the infection is present before symptoms show up. Also, an event three months ago plus other reports have us wondering. More on that in a minute.

In the United States: Flu Cases Spike To 15 Million. The CDC estimates that, so far this season, there have been at least 15 million illnesses, 140,000 hospitalizations and 6,600 deaths from the flu. Health officials this week reported an increase in the Influenza A virus, while the B strain continued to dominate cases. There are still several weeks left in the flu season.

In Italy: Half a million people struck with the flu this week. Nearly three million cases have been reported this winter.

Worldwide, the flu causes up to 5 million cases of severe illness worldwide and kills up to 650,000 people every year, according to the World Health Organization.

Mystery Coronavirus Keeps Increasing and Spreading: The Coronavirus from China has spread to other nations as people have traveled to China and returned to their home countries. It spread to Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia; now it has spread to the United States, France, and Australia. Mexico is also investigating whether it has spread there. As of this writing (Jan. 25), the virus is being reported to have killed at least 41 people, with over 1,300 others also infected. HOWEVER, in this video, a nurse treating patients in China says 90,000 people have been infected. Travel restrictions remain in place in over a dozen cities in China, as authorities try to contain the spread over the Chinese New Year holiday (officially Jan 25-Feb 4).

Worst Locust Plague in 60 Years Strikes Africa. The current wave is by pink locusts with very high capacity to consume and stamina for migrating long distances. It’s the most destructive among all breeds.

There are Over One Million New Cases of Sexually Transmitted Diseases Per Day among people aged 15-49 years with chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, and syphilis according to a report this summer by the World Health Organization. On average, approximately 1 in 25 people globally have at least one of these STIs, with some experiencing multiple infections at the same time.

When the coldest weather in two years hit Central Florida Wednesday morning with a low in the 30s (average low for January is mid-50s), iguanas became cold-stunned and fell from trees. Iguanas are not native to Florida. Either careless owners who shouldn’t have owned them in the first place released them into the wild, or they escaped—same with Burmese pythons. These animals have exploded in number and create an imbalance to Florida’s natural ecosystem.

EXTREME WEATHER

Storm Gloria brought ‘wettest day on record’ to parts of rain-soaked Europe. It pounded Spain with massive waves, heavy snow and flooding. The storm has been blamed for at least 13 fatalities. Four other people were still missing as of Thursday. Gloria moved on to France where over 1,500 people were evacuated due to widespread flooding.

In Spain: Malaga has reactivated its emergency protocol after areas of the province have been left heavily damaged by a fresh onslaught of stormy weather; cars were left stacked upon each other and homes and businesses wrecked while freak hail left cars trapped. Maqueda, too, has been hit hard.

In the US: Pacific Storm Parade, Atmospheric Rivers Could Bring Flooding, Landslides, Feet of Cascades Snow in Washington, Oregon. A classic winter jet stream is set up over the North Pacific Ocean. This jet stream will steer a number of Pacific storms to the West Coast.

WILDFIRES

3 US firefighters identified after fatal plane crash fighting Australian fires: Captain Ian H. McBeth from Montana, Officer Paul Hudson from Arizona, and Flight Engineer Rick A. DeMorgan Jr. from Florida.

In Australia, although recent cooler conditions and rain have brought some respite, over 60 fires are still burning in New South Wales and Victoria. Hot and windy conditions returned this week. Some 30 people have so far been killed, including four firefighters. Over 10 million hectares (100,000 sq km/24.7 million acres) of bush, forest and parks across Australia have burned; and as we’ve heard, an unimaginable number of wildlife have died as well as tens of thousands of farm animals.

EARTHQUAKES

Turkey 6.8 earthquake on Friday night: At least 29 dead as buildings collapsed, and over 1,466 people were injured as of the latest count. Over 20 people are still feared to be trapped. The overnight temperature had fallen to -8C (17.6F), with similar cold expected the following night. Over 400 aftershocks have been recorded as of this writing. The quake could be felt in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Israel.

Puerto Rico: A 5.0 earthquake hit southern Puerto Rico on Saturday at a shallow depth, raising concerns about unstable infrastructure in a region that has been hit by quakes every day for nearly a month.

A large meteor lit up the night sky over Israel with a blue flash so bright it was also seen in Lebanon and on the island of Cyprus.

Authorities warn of Social Media app TikTok viral video challenge that’s causing fires. The National Fire Protection Association and firefighters across the U.S. are warning parents of a viral TikTok challenge among teens that can be incredibly dangerous. It’s called the #outletchallenge. Teens are recording themselves partially inserting the plug of a cellphone charger into an outlet and then sliding a penny down the wall onto the exposed prongs. This will likely cause sparks and, in some cases, fires, injuries or electrocution. Fire has already occurred in Massachusetts.

Florida Citizens Seek Criminal Probe of Porn in Schools. Florida Citizens Alliance wants a criminal investigation to be launched of government schools in the state. It’s a felony to give children access to obscene and pornographic materials, yet every single district in Florida is doing it with impunity!

New Jersey has joined California, Colorado, and Illinois in requiring public schools to teach an LGBTQ curriculum. It started training teachers this month on how to promote inclusion across all subject areas. California was the first state to do so, of course, back in 2011.

Child sex abuse images on government computers. The problem of child pornography has reached crisis levels. Trey Gowdy blasted Schiff’s arguments as ‘wildly stupid trial strategy’. And President Trump’s counsel Jay Sekulow was praised on Twitter for having “absolutely destroyed” Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and his “little impeachment sham.” Sekulow pointed out that when Trump was investigated in the House, he was “denied the right to cross-examine witnesses … to access evidence … the right to have counsel at hearings.” Sekulow also noted Schiff is known for putting “words into transcripts that didn’t exist.” The reference was to Schiff reading into the congressional record his personal interpretation of the text of President Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukraine’s president.

ICE Director Matt Albence told reporters in Washington that local officials who refuse to cooperate, releasing criminal illegal immigrants back into the population rather than handing them or their personal information over to the agency, should be prepared to “show up to court with a toothbrush.”

Al-Qaeda Jihadis Caught Trying to Enter U.S. with Fake Colombian Passports. The men appear to have entered Colombia through Venezuela, where they acquired Colombian residency paperwork, a government identification card, and a Colombian passport through an illegal documentation network.

Shooting at Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall Stemmed from Gang Activity. The 18-year-old charged in a shooting that wounded three people at a Las Vegas Strip mall this week had a bail of $100,000 set in court Thursday morning. Christopher Valenzuela-Olivas opened fire at the Fashion Show Mall on the evening of Jan. 21. He pulled a handgun and fired several shots after getting into an argument near a mall exit.

CIVIL UNREST

Protests in Lebanon continue as new government fails to assuage anger. The new government is dominated by Iran-backed Hezbollah and its allies.

WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS

Two rockets hit near US embassy in Baghdad. Three rockets fell Tuesday inside Baghdad’s Green Zone which houses government buildings and foreign missions. Two landed near the US embassy.

Unidentified aircraft reportedly strike Hezbollah base in Iraq. Unidentified aircraft attacked a military base used by the Hezbollah terror group near the Syria-Iraq border overnight Thursday-Friday, according to Arabic media reports. No casualties were reported.

Iran-backed Shiite Iraqis rally against US troops, demanding they leave. The protest was organized by Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and Iranian-backed militias.

Iran says it has passed low uranium enrichment threshold for a nuke. Iran posted a surprising report Saturday stating it had passed 1,200 kg. of low-level enriched uranium. The IAEA and other Iran-watch groups regard 1,000 kg.’s of low-enriched uranium as enough for a nuclear bomb. If what Iran claims is true, this could substantially accelerate the point at which Israel and the US need to decide if they’ll intervene militarily before Iran develops a nuclear weapon. There’s still time to deliberate, as to fire a nuclear missile, Iran would still need to enrich 1,200 kg. to 90% weaponized uranium and would need to develop a method to deliver the nuclear material – something IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt. Gen. Kochavi has said could take another year. The announcement was shocking as the last update about the Islamic Republic’s uranium stock set it at under 400 kg. And less than two weeks ago, Kochavi predicted Iran wouldn’t reach 1,300 kg. until the end of 2020.

“PEACE” PLAN

Reversing course, Gantz urges Trump to ‘move up’ peace plan rollout. After previously calling an election-time release of the plan ‘interference’ in Israel’s vote, the Blue and White chief now ready to welcome its publication.

US peace team was supposed to arrive in Israel, but returned to the US just hours before they were set to land in Tel Aviv. The team decided to skip the trip “after their flight was delayed due to weather conditions.” It was not immediately clear if the peace team is going to reschedule the trip, which was supposed to be a crucial step before making the decision whether to roll out the peace plan before Israel’s elections in March.

President Trump said Thursday that the release of the long-awaited peace plan of his administration is imminent and expected before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz’s visit to Washington on Tuesday, January 28.

The terrorist Hamas regime, which controls the Gaza Strip, slammed the leaked details of Trump’s peace plan as “aggression against our people’s rights,” adding, “Any deal or project that detract from our full rights to our land and holy places will not pass.” FYI to Hamas: It’s not your land, and the so-called holy places you claim are not yours either.

Surge of Arctic air to send temperatures plummeting in the Midwest, Northeast. In the wake of a massive storm that brought blizzard conditions to the Plains, damaging freezing rain to the Midwest, and heavy snow to the Great Lakes, wintry conditions will return with a vengeance in the coming days. A northerly wind on the back side of the storm system ushered in a cold, Canadian air mass on Saturday. Areas that picked up accumulating snowfall from the departed storm could have near white-out conditions due to the strong winds, even as precipitation comes to an end.

Pressure Increases on Imperiled Mississippi Dam as Lake Rises Overnight. Heavy rains raised water levels in the Oktibbeha County Lake. Residents near the dam were asked to evacuate as the dam was in “imminent” danger of breaching and flooding 17,500 acres of land. Clay County could also be impacted.

Canada: Crippling Newfoundland Blizzard From Bomb Cyclone Smashes All-Time Daily Snow Record. A state of emergency was declared in St. John’s and other cities, banning vehicles on city streets. St. John’s smashed its all-time daily snowfall record which had stood for over 20 years. Photos showed massive snow drifts blocking doors of homes. This storm was a bomb cyclone, which intensified rapidly once it moved off the coast of New England.

A remarkable satellite presentation of explosive cyclogenesis over the Northwest Atlantic. It will push a severe windstorm and major waves towards Greenland and Iceland over the weekend. Four cyclones showed up on the same satellite image on Friday: along the Northwest US coast, across the Midwest, over the Northwest Atlantic and over the central North Atlantic.

Major floods hit Iran after a year’s worth of rain in 3 days; at least 3 dead and over 20,000 homeless. Thousands of establishments were damaged and hundreds of villages were cut off.

Brutal cold snap brings death toll to at least 170 in Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan. Heavy snow, rain, and frigid temperatures continue to trigger avalanches.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), non-stop heavy rain led to widespread flooding and destruction and broke the highest rainfall record since 1996. One fatality was reported.

There is usually a low-pressure area in the Arctic which regulates climate in the Northern Hemisphere; however, a strong polar vortex has reversed the circulation of the currents.

Storm Brendan battered Ireland and the United Kingdom on Monday. Brendan underwent rapid intensification (bomb cyclone) before it made landfall on Monday morning, and its remnants still continue.

Tropical Cyclone Claudia affected northwestern Australia with downpours and gusty winds. Heavy rains and thunderstorms lashed parts of Australia’s east coast, dousing some fires but bringing a new threat of flooding to some areas.

‘Severe’ Category 3 Tropical Cyclone Tino Moves Directly Towards Tonga. Two people are reported missing in Fiji and dozens more forced to seek shelter in evacuation centers as the cyclone passed over.

2020: The Sun Will Reach its Lowest Solar Activity in Over 200 Years according to NASA, who says we should prepare for odd or different weather patterns. On Dec. 20, Iceland had one of its largest snow storms with extreme winds. Iceland’s, Europe’s and North America’s weather have historically been tied to sunspot activity of the Sun. [Because, as the global warming whiners don’t want to admit, solar activity affects the weather; and, of course, God controls solar activity, and He can do whatever regardless.]

Magnetic Explosion on Earth’s Doorstep: On Dec. 20, 2015, a magnetic explosion occurred over 3 times closer to Earth than anyone has seen before. The explosion and solar storm delivered over 10 times the energy of the largest US nuclear bomb and about 20 times the energy of a 7.0 earthquake, sparking intense auroras. It’s taken researchers 4 years to wrap their minds around what happened, and results were published this week. This poses a previously overlooked threat to Earth-orbiting satellites.

VOLCANOES

In the Philippines, the Taal volcano erupted January 12, first time since 1977. Authorities urged evacuations after ash spewed 9 miles high (14 kilometers) into the air, prompting warnings that “a hazardous eruption may happen within hours or days.” Authorities also warned of a possible “volcanic tsunami” that can be trigged by falling debris after an eruption, pushing water and generating waves. The fallout has blanketed areas with ash dozens of miles away. The country’s president declared, “It is now a no man’s land.” Multiple new fissures were since observed and magma is building up. Authorities are having a hard time convincing some residents to leave or keep them from returning to rescue belongings and animals – too late for many. A hazardous eruption would affect nearly a million people.

In Japan, the Mt. Shintake volcano erupted last Saturday with no immediate reports of injuries.

New eruption at Fernandina volcano January 12; lava flows descending to the coast – Galapagos, Ecuador. There’s no human population on the island, but its ecosystems host many unique species.

EARTHQUAKES

Puerto Rico: Over 1,280 earthquakes have hit its southern region since Dec. 28, Over two dozen 4.5 or greater. A 5.2 occurred Wednesday morning as quakes continue to hit the island on a daily basis.

Japan: Series of earthquakes offshore this week, including a 5.1 at the coast and 5.0 inside the country.

Indonesia: A strong inland 6.0 earthquake late Saturday night struck the country’s easternmost Papua province. There were no immediate reports of major damage or casualties.

There were a number of quakes in diverse places in the ocean that registered between 5.0 and 5.9.

EPIDEMICS, ILLNESS, PLAGUES, FAMINE

Fecal bacteria In California’s waterways increases with vagrant crisis. San Francisco officials were quick to dispute Trump’s claims. Carelessness That Caused Injuries at Six Schools (five elementary schools and one high school). A plane dumped jet fuel over Los Angeles. 60 people on the ground were treated. Policies are supposed to keep this from happening. The plane shouldn’t have taken off overloaded. Also, pilots are supposed to dump fuel at high altitudes, if needed, so it evaporates before hitting the ground.

New Chinese virus ‘will have infected hundreds’. The number of people already infected by the mystery virus emerging in China is far greater than official figures suggest, scientists say. There’ve been 62 (update) confirmed cases, but UK experts estimate it’s closer to 1,700.

Travelers entering the U.S. from Wuhan, China, will be screened for this spreading virus that has left 2 dead [and 3 in critical condition]. They’ll be screened at the 3 largest ports of entry in the U.S.: San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City’s JFK airport. The virus has been reported in Thailand and Japan in people who’ve been to Wuhan. “This is a serious situation,” said Dr. Meissonier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. “We know it is crucial to be proactive and prepared.” Between 60,000 and 65,000 people a year travel from Wuhan to the US.

Locust outbreak, most serious in 25 years, hits East Africa. An “extremely dangerous increase” in locust swarm activity. One swarm measured 60 kilometers (37 miles) long by 40 kilometers (25 miles) wide. The outbreak of desert locusts, the most dangerous locust species, also has affected parts of Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea; South Sudan and Uganda could be next. The outbreak is making the region’s bad food security situation worse.

Illinois Will Update Birth Certificates to Allow Biological Females to Be Named as the Father, and Vice Versa. This comes after pressure from the pro-LGBT organization Lambda Legal on behalf of a “trans” couple. Myles Brady-Davis is a female who identifies as male, goes by pronouns they/them, and desires to be named the father on the birth certificate. Precious Brady-Davis is a male who identifies as female and is called the baby’s mother. The Chicago-Sun Times described them in glowing terms: “When Myles Brady Davis found out he was pregnant, he rejoiced with his wife, Precious. They held hands, they teared up. They sank to the living room floor and melted into each other, just savoring the moment.”

Facebook says ‘denying existence’ of trans identities on platform is hate speech. Mirroring Twitter’s update forbidding “misgendering” on the platform, Facebook updated its terms to say “denying the existence” of self-determined gender identities will be considered “hate speech.” So, denying existence of a potentially unlimited number of gender identities can result in a permanent account ban.

Michigan attorney general using so-called ‘hate crime unit’ to harass pro-marriage group. Dana Nessel is acting in concert with Michigan Dept of Civil Rights and Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC, a left-wing anti-Christian organization, published its annual report, listing 31 so-called “hate” groups in Michigan. Listed in that group as “ANTI-LGBT” was Church Militant, a media organization that advocates marriage as instituted by God is for one man and one woman.

Gay Man Who Protested Drag Queen Story Hour Commits Suicide After Social Media Mob Attack, Left Blames ‘Internalized Homophobia.’ After his group appeared at Drag Queen Story Hour to protest, he was harassed and threatened by a storm of angry people on social media. He was said to be SSA, same-sex attracted but didn’t act on it, and was also against same-sex marriage. There were 2 Drag Queen entertainers at the children’s event: One goes by Queenie, and one goes by Diamond “Good-Rim,” a disgusting sexual reference I cannot repeat. Diamond Good-Rim is the winner of an Australian X Award for Adult Entertainment. We can just imagine what that entails. At least one Australian politician called the protestors against the event “ratbags.” Instead of blaming the harassment from leftists for Gavin’s suicide, they blamed “internalized homophobia.”

WHO Chief Scientist caught on video overtly contradicting public propaganda videos that falsely claim vaccines work “without risks.” Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization, has been caught lying about vaccine safety. She claims “Vaccines are very safe” and can “prevent disease without risks.” But in a leaked WHO vaccine summit video, she said, “we really don’t have very good safety monitoring systems” and “learned about adverse events only after the drug’s been licensed and introduced into the population. So I think that risk is always there…”

Two Arizona School Districts Promoting Racial Divisions and so-called “Social Justice.” “Essentially, students and teachers are being taught anti-white, anti-Christian hate. Students are taught to lecture adults about their biases. They’re taught to be social justice activists.” The programs also teach “intersectionality” – “merely a replacement for Marxism, and very similar to it.”

Northam Declares State of Emergency in Virginia, Claiming “Armed Militia Groups Plan To Storm The Capitol” during Jan. 20 “Lobby Day.” Guns have been a major focus of Lobby Day for years, with groups on either side holding rallies. Citing violence in Charlottesville in 2017 at a completely different rally, Northam claims there are credible threats that “armed militia groups plan to storm the Capitol” during Monday’s rally. He says a substantial number are expected to come from outside the Commonwealth, may be armed, and have violence, rioting, and insurrection in mind. The leftist Dems are deliberately inciting this whole thing to further their agenda. We know we can’t put anything past the Demo Party these days. Also, read this article: “Blame Game Set for Va. VA State Senator Goes Public 72 Hours Before Rally: ‘We Are Being Set Up.’ Senator Amanda Chase of District 11 said, “The Governor, using the media has already set the stage for this to happen,” Chase wrote. “He has already laid the groundwork to make the entire movement look like insurrection.” It’s not just militia members and those wearing camouflage who have reason to worry.

According to Chase, even some military veterans have been flagged as potential threats. Despite Northam’s emergency gun ban, it’s unclear how many of the tens of thousands of expected rally attendees will obey his decree. The Virginia Citizens Defense League and Gun Owners of America, two groups behind the massive rally, appealed all the way to the Virginia Supreme Court, where Northam’s gun ban was upheld on Friday. Hopefully, violence can be avoided. But with many rallygoers almost certainly unwilling to bend on their right to bear arms and Northam seemingly intent on enforcing his order with state and local police, we can only wait and see—and pray.

He’s now charged with 19 counts of child molestation of a child who rode to church with her family in the church van he drove. “Police arrested Jose Argueta, 44, illegal alien from El Salvador. He sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl on four occasions and took pornographic images of her during several of those incidents since mid-December. Glen Burnie (Baltimore suburb) has seen a massive influx of Central Americans in recent years, as has Montgomery and Prince George’s counties. Argueta had a history of traffic violations and a DUI, yet had a valid trucking license. How was he able to remain in the country and openly drive for a church? The entire purpose of the 1986 amnesty deal was to make it illegal for someone here unlawfully to work. This alleged crime was therefore 100% preventable.”

In Panama: 7 bodies found in a burial pit as religious sect carried out exorcism rituals. At an improvised “church” where a little-known new religious sect known as so-called “New Light of God,” they were performing a ritual with people held against their will and tortured. The rites were aimed at killing them if they didn’t repent their sins. The rites had already resulted in deaths. A freshly dug grave containing 5 children, their pregnant mother, and a 17-year-old female neighbor were found.

Christian persecution has continued to spread around the world. 260 million Christians face high levels of persecution.

HATRED OF JEWS AND ISRAEL AKA HATRED OF GOD

Four Jews hospitalized after antisemitic mob rampages in Uman, Ukraine. According to witnesses, the Ukrainians were running through the city with knives and clubs, looking for Jews. Uman is important for many Jews who travel there yearly on a pilgrimage to the grave of Rabbi Nachman, founder of the Breslover Hassidic sect. However, there have been tensions with Jewish pilgrims and locals. In October, locals vandalized an area near the grave with graffiti of Hitler. In 2016, Rabbi Nachman’s grave was vandalized with a severed pig’s head. These incidents reflect a rising trend of antisemitism worldwide.

In Manhattan, New York, video shows man hanging large swastika in subway station. This incident comes amid a disturbing spike in anti-Semitic acts in the New York area.

Over a dozen Saudi servicemen training at US military installations will be expelled from the US after a review that followed the deadly shooting last month at a Naval Air Station in Florida. The Saudis in question aren’t accused of aiding the Saudi Air Force lieutenant who killed three American sailors, but some are said to have connections to extremist movements.

News sources are reporting that Israeli intelligence helped locate Iranian terrorist leader Soleimani before he was killed by an American airstrike in Iraq.

CIVIL UNREST

According to Verisk Maplecroft, a global risk and strategic consulting firm, the dramatic surge in protests in 2019 has swept up a quarter of countries in its tide and sent unprepared governments across all continents reeling. According to latest data and forecasts, the turmoil is set to continue unabated in 2020. Maplecroft predicts that 75 out of the 125 countries in its forecasting database will see an increase in civil unrest during the next six months. The number of countries rated extreme risk has also jumped by 66.7%; from 12 in 2019 to 20 by early 2020.

Iranian security forces fired live rounds and tear gas at protesters. Video this week shows blood trails and people fleeing. In November’s protests, over 1,000 protesters were killed and thousands more were injured and arrested. Also, Iranian authorities arrested the person who uploaded the video showing two Iranian missiles fired at the Ukrainian plane. The first missile disabled the plane’s transponder before the second missile struck. The video was filmed by a camera on a building four miles away from an Iranian military site. Iran’s leaders are just mad they got caught in a lie.

Trump tweet in Farsi is ‘the most liked Persian tweet’ in history of Twitter. Last Saturday, protesters in Iran took to the streets in fury, calling for Ayatollah Khamenei to step down after Iran admitted shooting down a Ukraine airliner on which dozens of Iranian citizens were also traveling. President Trump sent out a tweet in Farsi, saying he stands with their efforts, which very quickly earned over 200,000 likes.

Former Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, said the “beginning of the end” of the Iranian regime has started. He stated that the recent protests in Iran are different than previous demonstrations.

In Lebanon, anti-government protestors have returned to the streets, burning tires and blocking highways. Tear gas was fired at them, and they responded with rocks. Arrests have been made. Samer al-Khoury, a 29-year-old protester, said the protesters were giving politicians 48 hours to form a new government. “We need solutions,” he said. “The street is angry because some people are poorer than others; some people are dying in hospitals; some people don’t have food on their table.”

In Socialist Venezuela, the crisis continues. There was a surge of aggression and violence this week before a new attempt by Juan Guaido and the opposition majority to meet at the headquarters of the Parliament.

WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS

Israel concerned over renewed violence on Gaza border. Gaza factions are seeking to increase cross-border violence, as negotiations for a long-term understanding with Israel stall. The report emerges only a day after four rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israeli communities, and an incendiary balloon was also sent across the border. The rocket launches were attributed to an independent faction of the Islamic Jihad and came after three weeks of relative calm imposed by Hamas. Israel’s IDF carried out strikes against Hamas targets in response since they’re the ruling party in Gaza. Considering that the “Palestinian” Authority aka PLO is upset that Israel and Hamas were negotiating a truce, one wonders if they didn’t incite this faction to fire the rockets.

The Iran Plan

As it turns out, the Iran rocket attack on an Iraqi military base this month injured 11 US service members. They were flown out of the base and treated for concussion symptoms.

Iran Under Extreme Pressure. What Will its Leaders Do? With Germany and France now onboard, opposing how Iran appeared to tear up the 2015 agreement, Iran is under pressure. Russia is distracted with the crisis in Libya. Iran’s other interlocutors may not get it out of the jam it is in.

Iran’s secret underground ‘missile city’ unveiled. An Iranian news agency released images of underground “missile cities” which hold hundreds of missiles and rockets ready-to-fire.

Israeli Intel: Iran Will Have Enough Enriched Uranium for Nuke by Year’s End. HOWEVER, Israel’s IDF does not believe Iran possesses a missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead at this time and would need at least two years to develop such capabilities. President Trump said, “As long as I am President of the United States, Iran will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.” Israel’s PM Netanyahu has said the same.

On January 9: On the Syria-Iraq border, eight people were killed in airstrikes against Iranian militias. The target is believed to have been an Iranian weapons shipment to Hezbollah. Israel is being blamed for the strikes. On January 14: An airstrike on Iranian-aligned targets in Syria allegedly carried out by the Israeli Air Force killed at least three Iranian militia or loyalists; an unspecified number were injured. Israel cannot stand by and watch as Iran expands its plan to wipe out the Jewish state.

At least 90 dead in Iranian-backed Houthi attack on Yemen base. Iran-aligned Houthi rebels attacked a military training camp with ballistic missiles and drones.

GOG HOG

The Rise of Gog? Putin Positions Himself to Influence Russia For Life. The entire Russian government led by former Russian PM Medvedev resigned after Putin’s speech on constitutional reform. Medvedev said, this was “to give President Vladimir Putin room to carry out the changes he wants to make to the constitution.” Medvedev stated the constitutional reforms presented would make significant changes to the country’s balance of power, so “the government in its current form has resigned.” “All further decisions will be taken by the president,” Medvedev added. The move is intended, according to many, for Putin to retain power after the end of his presidency in 2024. The former KGB operative has been in power over 20 years, longer than any Russian or Soviet leader since Stalin.

In Syria, at least 18 civilians are reported to have died in air strikes that hit a market and an industrial zone in the rebel-held city of Idlib this week. A monitoring group said Russian and Syrian government planes carried out the attacks. The strikes happened despite a ceasefire brokered earlier this month by Russia and Turkey. SOHR said children and rescue workers were among the casualties.

In Libya, one of the countries prophesied to be in the last days Battle of Ezekiel 38-39 along with Russia, Turkey and Iran, etc., the two sides in Libya’s civil war accused the other of breaking a ceasefire within hours of it taking effect after pressure from backers, Russia and Turkey.

Libya’s Haftar accepts Putin’s invitation to visit Russia. “Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog… I will bring thee forth [from the north parts and uttermost north], and all thine army… Persia Ethiopia, and Libya with them… Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands… And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days… I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord” (See Ezekiel 38, also Ezekiel 39). *These nations that will come against Israel are said to represent modern-day nations of Russia and the “-istan” nations, Iran, Turkey, Sudan and Libya.

CONCLUSION

In reading current events, we see that we are close to the tribulation. End-times prophesied events have converged as never before. The birth pangs have begun that will, of course, intensify during the 7-year tribulation, known as “the time of Jacob’s trouble” or Daniel’s 70^th week. We must with urgency try to bring as many into the fold while we still can. The rapture of the true church, the bride of Christ, before the “time of Jacob’s trouble” begins, cannot be far away.

[Jesus gave them the signs, then] “he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled” (Luke 21:7, 29-32).
