EXTREME WEATHER
Ohio and Indiana: Days of intense, record rains triggered deadly floods, resulting in damage to properties and at least 8 fatalities. Rescue operations ended Sunday, March 22.
Mississippi and Alabama tornado: A large and destructive tornado hit Tishomingo in northern Mississippi on Tuesday and moved into northern Alabama, forcing authorities to issue a rare tornado emergency. Considerable damage was reported and several people were injured.
Arkansas: A large tornado struck Jonesboro Saturday evening. Severe damage was reported to structures and vehicles on the city’s east side. More tornadoes were expected Saturday night in parts of the Midwest.
Iraq: At least 5 dead, hundreds of homes severely damaged as major floods hit. Days of torrential rains caused massive floods on March 18, causing major damage and claiming at least 5 lives. The city of Mosul recorded about 124 mm (4.9 inches) of rain in 24 hours, more than its average for the entire month of March.
Iran: Floods killed Eleven in Iran and caused damages to many urban and rural areas.
Yemen: Destructive flash floods hit the capital on Wednesday, turning roads into raging rivers and killing at least two people and injuring at least four. Heavy rains were also expected on Thursday.
Europe: Arctic cold arrives, bringing early spring snow and extremely low temperatures to much of. It arrived last weekend, dumping snow to much of the continent following an unusually warm winter. Meteoalarm issued heavy snow, strong wind, and extremely cold temperature warnings for many countries.
Mexico: Yucatan Peninsula heading into worst drought since 1986. The drought situation is shaping up to be the worst in the past 34 years. Three years of below-average rainfall are merging, and groundwater levels are already pummeling to minimum levels.
EARTHQUAKES
A 7.5-magnitude quake hit off the coast of Russia’s Kuril Islands on Wednesday.
A 6.1 magnitude quake struck near the coast of the Philippines on Thursday.
A 5.0 magnitude earthquake rattled West Texas on Thursday. At least five smaller earthquakes had been registered near Mentone, Texas, over the past four days. Residents of El Paso, about 175 miles west of the epicenter, felt the quake; this region isn’t accustomed to being rattled by earthquakes.
In Salt Lake City in Utah, after the 5.7 earthquake on March 18, the largest since 1992, and hundreds of aftershocks since, seismologists began investigating the ‘virtually unknown’ up-till-now fault.

Indonesia: Strong eruption at Merapi volcano. A moderately strong eruption took place Friday, ejecting ash up to 7.8 km (25, 500 feet) above sea level. This is Merapi’s second major eruption this month. Residents are advised to stay away from the summit within a 3 km (1.9 miles) radius.

In Nashville: Studio singers collaborate on their cell phones from home to sing “It is Well with My Soul.” In a community in Missouri, a call for help was put out by an animal shelter to care for animals during the coronavirus outbreak while they’re home from work. The community responded, taking all the animals that were well enough to be fostered. The unwell animals will be cared for by the staff of the shelter.
Animal shelters pull out the stops to find pets homes during coronavirus outbreak. As coronavirus continues to spread and shut down large parts of the country, animal experts fear that the nation will see an uptick in surrendered animals. If left unaddressed, shelters across the US could be at risk of severe overcrowding. This is an issue all the time, but it’s more acute during COVID-19. If people financially are running into difficulties caring for their animal, they’ll get surrendered to shelters. Or, if there are family members that become ill and can’t take care of their dog or cat or the pets they have in their home.

Employees tried to stop her, but she kept yelling, “I have the virus. You’re all going to get sick.”

He says his church is the most sterile in America, that they have 13 machines that zap the virus. Leftist and Atheist sites were happy to point out Browne as an example of the religious right. The New York Times even published a report that was originally titled “Coronavirus Hell is Paved with Evangelicals” before they changed the title so they wouldn’t look like the pariahs that they are. The report uses Brown and other false prophets as an example of what they say is stopping the containment of the coronavirus; and they, of course, threw climate change in the mix.
Browne and others such as those pointed out in the articles, and more, aren’t examples of most of the Christian right. We don’t promote bizarre, unbiblical practices. Examples here and here. How many people do such “pastors” pay to have to act out? How many people go along for fear of offending or looking bad? Also, race supremacist groups “advocated for violence against a range of targets, including critical infrastructure and faith-based and minority communities.” Intelligence gathered on racist extremist groups, including neo-Nazis, showed they were encouraging followers who contract the virus to spread it to Jewish people and police officers.
Israel: Terrorists Attack Jews In Jerusalem As Their Supporters Sit In the Knesset. With the coronavirus making its rounds, a number of terrorist attacks have still been recorded within the last few days. Muslim terrorizers have attacked with firebombs and stones. A Jewish man was taken to the hospital with facial wounds after being hit by a stone.
Chad and Nigeria: Muslim Terrorist Group Boko Haram kills 92 Chadian soldiers in deadliest attack yet in the five-year campaign by the Islamists. Dozens of Chadian troops have been killed since the Boko Haram insurgency spread across the border from Nigeria in 2015, and over 1,000 people have been displaced by fighting. On Tuesday, Nigeria said its 47 soldiers were killed in an ambush by Boko Haram militants in Maiduguri.

Gaza rocket hits open field southern Israel. A rocket launched from Gaza Friday night landed near communities in southern Israel. Iraq: 2 rockets hit Baghdad’s Green Zone. Iraq’s military on Thursday said at least two rockets hit inside Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, the seat of Iraq’s government and home to the American Embassy, in the first attack following a brief lull in violence from earlier this month. The attack came as the U.S.-led coalition pulled out of a second base elsewhere in Iraq, in line with a planned drawdown.

The Marine Corps plan to undergo the most significant changes in the past 20 years to focus on the rising Chinese threat while shifting focus away from the Middle East. Discovered in December, Comet Atlas its growing much brighter than experts predicted. If it holds shape as it nears the sun, it could grow brighter than Venus. No one knows size of the core, but its gaseous envelope is half as wide as the sun, according to spaceweather.com. It’s expected to reach peak brightness at the end of May. Making it more exciting is its slightly green color. Those tracking it note it jumped to a 4,000-fold increase in brightness in the past month. At such a rate, it could be visible to people in zones free of light pollution with the naked eye in a couple of weeks. It’s following a nearly identical path to the Great Comet of 1844—a trajectory that would give it a 6,000-year orbit.

A relevant question is whether certain bad actors are opportunistically using the widespread fears around the COVID-19 to advance an agenda of “lock step” top down social control, one that would include stark limits on travel, perhaps replacing of cash by “sanitary” electronic cash, mandatory vaccination even though the long-term side effects are not proven safe, unlimited surveillance and the curtailing of personal freedoms such as political protests on the excuse it will allow “identification of people who refuse to be tested or vaccinated,” and countless other restrictions.
Radical Left Soros-Funded Organization Uses the Coronavirus to Justify Call to “Abolish the Family.” A new article posted on an extreme Leftist website called openDemocracy – an organization funded by George Soros – claimed that the Coronavirus recommendations to shelter-in-place at home is actually dangerous and that now is the time to “abolish the family” and private home ownership.
A Rockefeller Foundation report 10 years ago imagined a viral pandemic as the catalyst to implement “tighter top-down government control and more authoritarian leadership,” similar to what’s unfolding during the current coronavirus outbreak. The 2010 report is titled “Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development.”

A Mysterious Database Exposed 200 Million Americans’ Personal Info. Forbes is reporting on this too, but the picture is interesting on the site at this link. A Google Cloud database exposed personal information of roughly 200 million Americans. It’s not clear who owned the database, however, and it appeared to have been wiped on March 3. But that wasn’t actually the end of the saga; things only got weirder from there. CyberNews said the database contained 800GB of data in three folders. The first had 200 million records about American individuals, the second had “emergency call logs of a fire department based in the U.S.” and the third had “a list of some of the 74 bike share stations that used to belong to a bike share program.”

It is an absolute disgrace and moral blight on the leaders of the Blue & White party, led by three ex-generals and Yair Lapid, who legitimized this Arab political party of terrorist supporters. The Israeli left smells blood, and they have no boundaries to accomplish their leftist agenda. Also, Gantz constantly calls Netanyahu corrupt, but his own company is under investigation for wrongdoing.
Gantz promised he wouldn’t turn to the Arab Party in the Knesset for support to help make him prime minister, but that’s exactly what he did; however, this move caused much backlash and would not bode well for much unity in a future leadership. So he found another way to get his nose in the tent, claiming he decided to form a [so-called] unity government as an emergency measure.
Unity Government. So, what’s the deal now? A so-called rotating unity government. Gantz will be parliamentary speaker for now, replacing the Netanyahu ally speaker who was basically forced out at Gantz’s urging. Netanyahu will step down in September 2021 for Gantz to take his turn as prime minister for 18 months. Some are praising this step, saying peace is more likely now.

Students of Bible prophecy know the ultimate liar is prophesied, who will confirm a false peace covenant with the Jews. In the middle of the 7-year Tribulation (“time of Jacob’s trouble”), they’ll realize their mistake and flee. A 1/3 remnant will be saved. “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son…” (Zechariah 12:10).
CONCLUSION
Pray for the lost everywhere to receive Christ as their Savior. What’s scarier than dying of the coronavirus? Dying without Jesus!
