EXTREME WEATHER EVENTS
Saharan dust cloud cloaks U.S. Gulf Coast and will affect other parts of the US. Usually, Saharan dust disperses into the ocean long before reaching the Americas, but this is 2020, quite a crazy year to say the least. What’s been called the most significant dust cloud in 50 years has already gone through the Caribbean and has now shrouded the U.S. Gulf Coast in a thick, dusty haze. The dust layer, which originated in the Sahara Desert and drifted across the Atlantic, is forecast to continue moving north and east through the weekend, impacting areas from Texas and Florida all the way up to as far north as the Canadian border. The dust dramatically reduces air quality and can irritate lungs of people with allergies.
Arizona wildfires: Wildfires continued to rage in Arizona in another week of hot, dry conditions from the Desert Southwest to California. As of this writing, only the Aquila Fire has been fully contained after burning around 900 acres. Now one of the largest wildfires in the state’s history, the Bush Fire, has burned nearly 190,000 acres and is 90% contained. The Bighorn Fire, has burned 88,046 acres and remains 33% contained. Several others are partially contained.
Lack of rain sets stage for drought across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Much of the area is now classified as Abnormally Dry. Without a good soaking soon, a continuation of the dry pattern will lead to an official drought status in the coming weeks.
Washington State: Tri-Cities temperatures to be near 100. Area already in drought. That’s about 15 degrees above normal for late June. Benton County is already in severe drought. Franklin County is in moderate drought in much of the western part of the county and abnormally dry in the eastern end.
More than 130 killed as severe thunderstorms hit India. Heavy rain and severe thunderstorms since mid-June have resulted in casualties and damage across India. As of early Friday, June 26, the death toll stands at 133– mostly from Bihar, which recorded one of its highest daily tolls from lightning on Thursday. The death toll is expected to rise as more reports come in.
‘Worst’ drought in history hits Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Over 143,000 acres of rice have been damaged. Around 103,500 acres of winter-spring rice crop were affected this year, 64,250 acres of rice of which ended in a dead loss. Nearly 16,430 acres of fruit trees were impacted by saltwater intrusion, 877 acres of which was a total loss. Over 21,500 acres of the aquafarming area were damaged, as well as a wide swath of vegetable crops.
Signs of Drought in European Groundwater. According to NASA and other mainstream sources, the 2019-20 winter in Europe was the warmest on record, with little snow. The spring was drier and warmer than normal, with a historic heat wave mid-May. The forecast for summer 2020 is not looking much better. For the third year in a row, Europe is facing potential water woes. Drought conditions started in eastern Europe in early spring and migrated across the continent with drier-than-normal weather in April and May. Tributaries and main stems of some of the continent’s rivers fell below normal seasonal flow. In late May and June, surface soil moisture and waterways in some areas rebounded a bit after heavy rain showers. They forecast 2020 to be one of the hottest years on record.
China denies millions of lives at risk as catastrophic flooding threatens Three Gorges Dam. As many as 400 million lives may be at risk as torrential rain in China threatens the world’s largest dam. The Chinese government moved to defend the structural integrity of the massive dam, as a hydrology expert warned it could collapse at any moment. The warning came as details emerged over the drowning of eight children swept to their deaths in the swollen Fu River upstream of the dam last Sunday. On Monday, Chongqing issued its first red alert over the flooding since 1940, warning of “super historic flooding.” Over 40,000 people have so far been evacuated. And social media is awash with images of buildings being swept downstream, submerged cars and city streets being turned into fast-flowing rivers. Taiwan News reports that the rainstorms have so far impacted the lives of eight million people along the Yangtze river and cost the Chinese economy $AU4.2 billion.
State of emergency declared: severe floods hit Serbia and Bosnia Tuesday. Approximately 700 houses inundated; bridges, roads and power lines damaged. Residents were left in a “dramatic” situation.
Severe Storm, deadly floods, hail and rare tornado hit Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday, killing one person and injuring several others.
“Claims” of Wildfires raging across Siberia as Russia; “claims” of extraordinary heat, temperature of 100 F degrees in Arctic town. As for the claimed temperature in Verkhoyansk last Saturday: according to other sources, it may not be accurate. Also, the town is recognized by Guinness World Records for the most extreme temperature range (low of minus-90 F; previous high of 98.96 F). Mainstream media claims that Siberia is under an extreme heatwave also. But researching the weather forecast does not bear out this claim. As for current raging Siberian wildfires reported by mainstream media, checking current Russian sources does not find this mentioned, not on Wikipedia either. Could there be some “exaggeration” going on? If you research it, make sure you check the dates.
EARTHQUAKES
Mexico: Powerful 7.4 earthquake hit southern Mexico on June 23. The death toll has risen to 10 with dozens injured. Hundreds of aftershocks have been reported, and there is extensive damage.
California: 5.8 earthquake struck California on June 23. The shallow earthquake caused truck-sized boulders to fall, according to another report, and was felt as far away as Las Vegas. No injuries have been reported, however.
Mexico-California border a hotspot for quakes in 2020. During the first six months of 2020, the Mexican state of Baja California, immediately south of California, has registered 282 earthquakes. Most have been centered around the border city of Mexicali, and some have been felt as far north as Los Angeles.
Nevada: 4.9 earthquake struck central Nevada on June 19. Minor quakes have rattled the region since a 6.5, Nevada’s largest in 66 years, struck May 15. One resident said the earth shaking has been a regular occurrence since May. “We feel so many that I don’t even pay attention anymore.”
India: Church, buildings damaged in earthquake in Mizoram. A 5.3 quake hit Mizoram on June 22, causing damage to houses and cracks on roads. No casualties have been reported.
Iceland: A strong and shallow 6.0 earthquake hit near the coast of northern Iceland on June 21. The quake is a part of an ongoing intense earthquake swarm with over 2,000 earthquakes since June 19.
Turkey: Two earthquakes. 5.5 quake in western Turkey on Friday; 5.4 in eastern province of Van near Iran border on Thursday. Thursday’s quake slightly injured five people and damaged homes.
China: A 6.4 earthquake struck province on June 26. There are no villages around the epicenter, and there were no reports of victims or damages.
VOLCANOES
Indonesia’s most volatile volcano spews ash in new eruption. Indonesia’s most volatile volcano on June 21 spewed ash and hot gas in a massive column up to 3.7 miles high. Mount Merapi’s clouds of ash, accompanied by a rumbling sound heard miles away, blanketed several villages on the main island of Java.
In the Philippines, Mt. Kanlaon volcano enters a ‘Period of Unrest.’ The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) is monitoring Mount Kanlaon after it recorded over 130 earthquakes since June 21. Over 20,000 people would have to be evacuated if the volcano shows signs of imminent eruption. Officials are identifying evacuation centers where physical distancing could to be observed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Update Friday: 25 quakes recorded in last 24 hours.

From a lawyer in Los Angeles last week: “Today in dependency court madness, LA County Dept. of Children and Family Services (DCFS) recommended that the court remove my client’s child from their physical custody after the parent tested positive for COVID-19. This is a non-offending parent. The judge ruled in favor of DCFS and detained.”
COVID: Behind the global nursing home disaster, and the case-number scam. The majority of deaths have occurred in nursing homes worldwide, and have been called Covid-related even if they weren’t. The main monitor of what goes on in these homes, and the main source of protection for patients is: visiting families and friends who keep a careful eye on things. But because of locking down the facilities, friends and families can’t come in.
Let’s fact-check Reuters: they say DNA vaccines don’t change your genetic makeup—true or false? Researchers are fond of saying their genetic technologies are quite safe; they claim, for example, that a DNA COVID vaccine would alter humans’ genetic makeup in entirely predictable and harmless ways is like saying a car without brakes, doing a hundred miles an hour, set loose on a highway during rush hour, would create no damage whatsoever.
Locusts
‘Extremely alarming’ swarms of locusts plague eastern Africa, western Asia amid COVID-19 pandemic. “The current Desert Locust situation remains extremely alarming and represents an unprecedented threat to food security and livelihoods in the Horn of Africa. This will be further exacerbated by new breeding that has commenced, which will cause more locust infestations.”
Locust Invasion on Italian Island of Sardinia: ‘There’s nothing left’ – Sardinian farmland stripped by locust swarms. 200 farms have been hit by a swarm of Moroccan locusts that have been devastating the Tirso valley since April. In just one year, the infested area has increased tenfold, reaching 20,000-25,000 hectares. And we are still in full development. – Alessandro Serra, National Confederation of farmers
Locusts in South America: A cloud of locusts originated in Paraguay and caused massive damage to corn plantations; for the past several days, it’s spread through northeast Argentina and devoured crops there. It’s getting closer to Brazil’s border, but experts say it’s a low probability for the cloud to enter Brazil at this time; a state of emergency was declared anyway. Current climate conditions indicate the locusts will most likely travel to Uruguay in the coming days.

Wildlife managers are closely monitoring the highly contagious and deadly disease they say could significantly impact the rabbit population in the state, and predators that rely on them. It’s in seven counties right now.

Profiteering on Aborted Babies – No, It’s Not Planned Parenthood This Time. Multiple states are working to remove religious exemptions from vaccinations. Such reversals are particularly troubling as the top 5 vaccine research companies (Moderna, Inovio, CanSino, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson) are all using aborted baby cell lines to fuel their research and build their vaccines. The decision whether to inject a vaccine into one’s body or one under their care is a deeply personal issue. Many object to vaccinations, not just for philosophical or religious reasons, but medical reasons. Such a decision should NOT be forced on people, especially when the impetus for mass vaccination may be nothing more than the massive profit that winners of the “vaccine race” will garner.

As I was writing this, a notification appeared on my cellphone. It said something like this: “Apple News Spotlight: Pride 2020; Black trans rights; plan to redesign the rainbow flag; 10 new queer shows.” It disappeared shortly thereafter, and I couldn’t find it again. Apparently, it was directing me to current news.
Bay Area man arrested who made $21 million operating international sex trafficking websites that included child victims. The US Dept of Justice shut down the sites and arrested Wilhan Martono, 46. The sites allowed users to search for sex workers in five continents and more than 14 cities in the United States, including San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and San Diego. The indictment alleges that his sites included not only adult prostitution “services,” but ads featuring “numerous child trafficking victims,” including one who was identified as a 13-year-old girl who was rescued in Texas last November.
The following report concerns not just sex-trafficking but also labor (workforce) trafficking:
Ireland highlighted in State Department human trafficking report. “There are 25 million adults and children suffering from labor and sex trafficking worldwide,” said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. The annual report was released on Thursday. There is a 3-tier rating system with tier 3 being the worst. Ireland was listed as Tier 2. Ireland lacks sufficient support for victims and protection for undocumented workers in the fishing industry.
There are an estimated 15,000 trafficking victims in European soccer. Young, poor, aspiring professional athletes are exploited by agents with connections to traffickers. They can be persuaded into signing unfavorable contracts with kickbacks or extorted through “debt-based coercion.”
It’s bad in China, North Korea, Hong Kong, Cuba, Afghanistan Algeria, Lesotho and Nicaragua; Russia has been added to list. Saudi Arabia has allegedly improved but still needs work to be done. Philippines has shown improvement as well as some places in Africa. Then there’s the sexual exploitation and abuse by UN peacekeepers ongoing for years in countries such as Haiti, Central African Republic, and Liberia.

Investigators discovered the remains of Vallow Daybell’s children ages 7 and 17 on June 9 on the Idaho property belonging to Chad Daybell, Vallow’s new husband. The couple were members of the Church of the Firstborn. They believed they had a role in ushering in biblical end times. Vallow believes she’s sealed to the ancient Book of Mormon claimed prophet Moroni and that she’s lived numerous lives on numerous planets. Her husband has been a member of the Mormon community in Idaho. At least one other member of the community allegedly did “energy sessions” and talked about memories of “past lives” with him. JJ and Tylee had been missing since September 2019. Vallow has been in police custody since March. Her husband was taken into police custody following the discovery of the bodies. Both of the couple’s former spouses died under suspicious circumstances.

In Fredericksburg, Virginia: Mother and Child Terrorized by Mob who Blocked her Car. Listen to the 911 call at this link. City Hall allowed “protestors” to block streets. Police were some distance away diverting traffic from the “protest.” But officers were not informed of which streets the “protestors” would block. They first blocked the woman’s car from getting through, then got on top of her car, not caring that there was a terrified child in the car crying. The dispatcher said she would alert officers but advised her to make a complaint because the city wouldn’t allow police to get involved in the “sanctioned” event. Fortunately, the woman was able to get away. After the video became public, the city tried to defend itself by saying officers did respond but the woman was gone. But the city should have allowed police to be right where the “protests” were in order to be able to immediately respond if needed.
Leftists at NPR falsely claimed “right-wing extremists” in their automobiles are mowing down peaceful protesters all across America. Yet the incident that began their lie was actually a thug hit by a car driven by a woman who hit the gas to get away from the thugs trying to pull her out of her car. They pulled her hair, and she saw one of them holding a gun. The video also shows the one with the gun chasing her car. NPR has now retracted the story after being called out big time for it. They’d deliberately lied, even though police had immediately released video showing what really happened; therefore, the woman was not charged.
In Democrat-run Chicago: 102 shot, 14 fatally including toddler in Chicago over Father’s Day weekend. A 3-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were among the youngest fatal victims. Then on Monday, over 40 were Shot, 6 Killed in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago.
Antifa In the United States Part II: Antifa’s long-term objective in America and abroad is to establish a communist world order. In the U.S., Antifa’s immediate aim is demise of the Trump administration. Antifa’s nemeses (opponents) include law enforcement, viewed as enforcing the established order. Antifa radicals increasingly are using incendiary events to achieve broader aims to subvert, often with extreme violence, the American political system, with the ultimate aim to replace capitalism with communism. Undercover videos indicate that some Facebook content moderators actively focus on posts that are supportive of President Trump, revealing political bias in the company’s policing efforts. In addition, one former moderator, Zach McElroy, indicated that at least one Facebook algorithm seemed designed to flag predominantly right-leaning content.
A Backlash Against Democrat Control of Cities. An African American female street preacher in Seattle’s CHAZ (Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone) explains to a white woman (presumably a liberal Democrat) why she’d never vote for Joe Biden. “Put Biden in there and watch what happens. These Democrats, and I’m sorry to say this and I’m not trying to be racist, but they hate black people. These are the same people who fought to keep slavery in… the same people who built the KKK. The great irony here is that yes, there’s plenty of systemic racism in our country – it’s all wrapped up in the history of the Democratic Party.”

Of course, they’d push this stunt right at this time, using the current “unrest” to claim racial prejudice keeps it from being made a state. Not true, of course. They just want to add two more left-wing senators and more votes for Democrats. Republicans pointed out that the district was created as a federal enclave and was never intended to be a state. Rep Jody Hice said, “Granting D.C. statehood goes against not only American citizens’ desires, but more importantly, the Constitution and the Framers’ intent.” The vast majority of Americans oppose DC statehood.

Biden cancer nonprofit paid its top execs millions. It spent little to eradicate cancer. One of several nonprofits Joe Biden created following his tenure in the White House, the Biden Cancer Initiative, paid top executives lavishly, with salaries comprising nearly 65% of its total expenditures. That is well above the 25% charity watchdogs recommend nonprofits spend on administrative overhead and fundraising costs combined.

First some good news on that front: US Supreme Court OKs government’s quick removal of immigrants who cross border illegally. By a 7-2 vote, the justices rejected the claim that immigrants who say they seek asylum have a right to a full federal court review through a writ of habeas corpus, even if their claims are judged to be not credible. The decision came in the case of Sri Lankan immigrant who was caught 25 yards beyond the border. When interviewed by an asylum officer, he said he did not have a “credible fear” of persecution, which would trigger a further hearing. But last year, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a broad ruling in his case, holding that the federal law authorizing “expedited removal” of border crossers was unconstitutional. The Supreme Court reversed that decision Thursday, over dissents by Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
Navy brings massive carrier power to Taiwan Strait, South China Sea. The U.S. Navy is now operating three aircraft carriers in the Pacific in what appears to be a strong show of force following Chinese movements and comments regarding Taiwan and the South China Sea. In its global control agenda, China claims and wants to control areas that it has no right to claim or control.

Russia offered Afghan militants bounties to kill US troops. US intelligence has concluded that the Russian military offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants in Afghanistan to kill American troops and other coalition forces, the New York Times reported on Friday.

New rocket attack in Baghdad, 6th in two weeks. A rocket slammed into the Baghdad airport in Iraq on Monday, landing near a complex where US soldiers and diplomats are housed. The attack was not claimed, but Washington has blamed a host of similar incidents on Iran-backed fighters in Iraq. Since October, nearly three dozen attacks have targeted American interests in Iraq, including a range of military bases, the US embassy in Baghdad and US oil companies.
Iraqi Forces Raid Iran-Backed Hezbollah Brigade Headquarters in Baghdad. Iraqi counter-terrorism units raided headquarters of Kataib Hezbollah Thursday night, capturing as many as 23 of the Iran-backed terrorist fighters. The raid was seen as unusually bold compared to the Iraqi government’s previous treatment of the militia group. Iraq’s new prime minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi said he “intends to fulfill pledges to rein in militia groups that have attacked U.S. installations.” Kataib Hezbollah is one of Iran’s most powerful proxy forces in Iraq. It’s been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. government since 2009. It was responsible for a series of rocket attacks late last year against Iraqi bases where U.S. troops were deployed. An American civilian contractor was killed in a rocket attack on a base near Kirkuk. The group has enjoyed enormous support from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. And as we see in the report above this one, the attacks have continued.
Mysterious massive explosion in Iran. A massive explosion near Tehran lit up the night sky on Thursday night, so bright it looked like the sun for a split second. Iran’s official story is that a gas storage facility had a minor accident and no one was harmed. However, there’s a lot of speculation that the facility that exploded is more than a gas leak. It has links to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and missiles. Others suggested it has links to a nuclear facility and the military. All of this points to a questionable incident.
Turkey’s airstrikes in northern Iraq threaten Christian villages. Civilians have been killed and villagers threatened by Turkey’s widespread airstrikes in Iraq. Turkey claims to be fighting “terrorists” but has used disproportionate force. Activists fear that Christian minorities, already threatened by Turkey’s invasions of northern Syria, will have to flee again.
Drone and missile attack on Capital of Saudi Arabia. Explosions heard around the capital were alleged to be a drone and missile attack Tuesday that struck a building in Riyadh. Concerned that more were incoming, the US mission urged people to take precautions. Rumors said multiple waves of attacks were being feared from Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.
Egypt’s Sisi’s ‘Declaration of War’ Puts Egypt & Turkey on War Footing Over Libya. Egypt and Turkey have long been on opposite sides of the raging battle for the fate of Libya. The situation escalated last weekend; and Egypt’s President Sisi said the Egyptian Army stands ready to intervene in Libya.

Jeremiah 31:

Verse 8: “Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.”
Verse 28: “And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the Lord.”
Verse 31: “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah.”
Verses 35-37 “Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord” [meaning, He will not abandon Israel].
Then, of course, there’s Joel 3 where God brings all the nations of the earth to Armageddon:
“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity [bring back the captives] of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them [enter into judgment with them] there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land… Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision… The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”
