.Diversity Is Not Always a Good Thing

A couple of years ago, I was watching a video that had a PBS reporter interviewing Thomas Sowell. The reporter brought up the subject of diversity, saying it was a good thing for society. Sowell contradicts him by saying diversity is not a virtue. He said America is not great because of its diversity. It is great despite our diversity.

The left thinks that they can create a utopian society by including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders and sexual orientations. What generally happens when there is an increase in diversity is there is an increase in conflict.

The nation of India has an abundance of diversity that has led to fighting that caused the deaths of millions of people. Northern Ireland has religious diversity that caused decades of strife between Catholics and Protestants.

Japan is a nation that has a relatively low level of diversity. It is very rare to ever hear of social conflict in that nation. The only example I can recall is that time when a cult tried to poison people, and that was nearly three decades ago.

The liberal media are so supportive of diversity, they operate like we don’t have enough of it. I was reading an article about a couple of new cast members for the skit comedy show Saturday Night Live. The article focused on how diverse it was to have the first Gay Asian and a woman who claims to not be of any sex. Nowhere in the article was there an answer to the question, “Are they Funny?”

There is some unwritten rule that requires TV ads to have people of color in any setting that has more than a few people. Even though homosexuals are only 4% of the population, advertisers feel the need to introduce same-sex couples to their commercials.

A CNBC reporter recently chided Warren Buffett for not having enough diversity in Berkshire Hathaway’s boardroom. Buffett explained to the reporter that they only hire people who are qualified for the job. Other companies make Buffett look bad by hiring non-whites to fill a quota. Many of the people selected because of their skin color have no active role in the company. Their only job is to pose at the company’s annual group picture.

Al Sharpton and Don Lemon are two of the dumbest people to ever walk the earth. Both of these men were given their own show on news networks because they were black. If I were an African-American, I would be deeply insulted by whoever selected them.

When President Biden said that he was going to choose a black woman to be the next Supreme Court justice, he did damage to the concept that the best-qualified person should always get the job. I listened to some of Ketanji Jackson’s testimony in the Senate and was not impressed by her statements. Biden may have pulled Jackson’s name out of a hat because that is how he generally handed out other jobs. Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was hired because she is Black, Haitian, and a homosexual. She is so bad at her job, it’s obvious that little attention was given to her secretarial skills.

Several Colleges have tried to bring diversity to the classroom by deciding they are going to select a set percentage of blacks. Because there are too many Asians in the student body, they decided to make it harder for them to get in. The vision here is that Blacks from the hood will escape poverty by going to college. The vast majority of the blacks that got selected were from rich families.

The left’s rules on diversity break down when it comes to Christians. Because we are not part of a chosen minority group, we are to be excluded from society. During the Christmas season in the 1950s, three giant buildings had a cross on their upper floors. Today, most corporations shy away from any direct reference to Christianity. A firm may give a vague nod to the Christmas season by posting a wreath on its homepage. For the last two years, Google has said Happy Birthday to Jesus by adding color bulbs to their Logo.

It is obvious that diversity has become a useful tool of the devil. It allows him to bring the worst of society to the top, and it holds down those who would make America a better place. In heaven, there is no diversity. We will all be one with our Lord and Savior.

“Abide in Me, and I in you…. I am the vine; you are the branches” (John 15:4-5).

“That all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You” (John 17:21).

Prominent Prophetic Perspective

Jesus, while sitting atop the Mount of Olives, speaking to His disciples, gave a profound prophecy relative to our present day. As they looked down upon Jerusalem and at the Temple on Moriah, the Lord said the following:

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation…” (Matthew 24:6-7).

Of all the prophecies that seem to be in view now, none is more relevant than the turmoil Jesus spoke of that we’re watching in this crucial hour of last-time human history.

The process of stage-setting in this regard is part of the dynamics reconfiguring the world for humanity’s most horrific military conflict–Armageddon.

The portion of the prophecy we need to look at is the prophecy Jesus gave that “nation will rise against nation” in an unprecedented way just before He returns to set up His Millennial Kingdom on the earth.

When giving only a cursory glance at these words, we think that, yes, that’s certainly true. Many a nation has risen against another nation just during the past several decades. There have been many wars, and other wars are looming. But is this the kind of “nation against nation” reference Jesus specifically gave in this discourse?

To answer this, we must look at the Greek language–the language from which the New Testament was translated into English. Jesus was, in actuality, saying these uprisings would be unusual in that they would be based in ethnos—Greek, here, for “nation.” They would be “ethnic” in origin. They would pit ethnic—or racial—group against racial group.

It is equally true that ethnic factors have been the cause of many wars throughout the centuries. The Arabs and Jews–as a matter of fact, many ethnic peoples against the Jews—marked the conflicts of Old Testament times. Almost without exception, those early wars were “ethnic” in origin.

Things haven’t changed. Arabs and Jews still have the ethnos factor at the heart of their differences. And, never in history has the conflict been more virulent–in rhetoric, if not in fact. The Islamic nations–mostly Arab—are blood-vowed to push the Jews into the Mediterranean Sea and wipe the Jewish race from the planet. Some Arab leaders of the past and other leaders–e.g., the Iranian—continue to want all Jews expunged from the region and even off the planet. They have made it their national policy through their oratorical invectives. There have been conflicts in the century just passed involving peoples of the Caucuses, the Balkans, etc., and horrific slaughters in Africa and other places–all based upon ethnic differences.

Now, this hemisphere is experiencing the ever-increasing lethal effects of ethnic struggle. The latest is more and more pitting those of multiple races against, particularly, Caucasian types, while the protests over immigration laws escalate. These uprisings aren’t spontaneous but are fomented, obviously, by those who have ulterior motives–other than to see that illegal immigrants get a chance to start new lives in the most materially blessed nation in human history.

We’ve looked consistently at the globalist elites who are showing a total disregard for national boundaries and sovereign well-being by wanting to just ignore the laws on these important immigration matters and extend unlimited amnesty to those who have entered America illegally.

The point is, Jesus said a great, swelling uprising involving ethnic strife would grow to be a major crisis during the Tribulation era–the last seven years just before He returns to put an end to all of the conflicts at Armageddon (Revelation 19:11).

This tremendous ethnic disturbance we are witnessing each day in our headlines is something we must absolutely watch closely. The powerful turbulence–the “seas and waves roaring”—constitutes yet another indicator of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. We can say with a degree of certainty—based upon study of God’s Word and belief in the pre-Trib Rapture of Christ’s Church—that because of the burgeoning ethnic unrest, in conjunction with all of the other indicators we see interjecting themselves with growing intensity and frequency, Jesus’ shout, “Come up here!” can’t be far distant.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Why Are We Ruled by People with So Many Defective Brains?

It is really becoming a major wonderment as to why so many political leaders are profoundly feeble-minded. If someone is going to be a leader, they need to have the mental capability to fit their demanding job.

During the last decade, the American people have increasingly put into office people who are more and more incompetent. Some of them could not operate a hot dog stand, and yet they are given roles that control the fate of our nation.

The new norm is that it’s natural for the US president to speak in gibberish. The liberal media knows that there is something wrong with President Joe Biden, but they ignore it because they only care about power. Since Biden does not write the words on his prompter, we may have freshmen interns setting policy for the executive branch.

Putin must reflect at least once a week on the reality that America’s nuclear arsenal is controlled by someone who is senile. It would be my hope that a guy who probably spends 10 minutes each day deciding what flavor of jelly to put on his toast would have some level of oversight.

If Biden is taken out, I had hoped that some other group would also have the launch codes. In the United States, a single person is authorized to make the decision to use a nuclear weapon—the president. Biden is not required to consult with any advisors before issuing a launch order. No one in the Defense Department, Congress, or the judicial branch can lawfully prevent the use of nuclear weapons once the president’s order is given.

Of course, in the event of a true emergency, someone would be moving the vice president to one of those aforementioned command facilities, though not the same one as the president. That is so, in the event the president was taken out, the VP could be quickly entered in as acting-President and go through the process of selecting a new presidential code.

We don’t have hours to put the VP into power. In a 500-missile emergency of a Russian submarine attack, we may only have 10 minutes to act. The nightmare scenario in my mind is Biden’s staff screaming at him to issue the launch codes, and he just stares into space and says, “I could really go for two scoops of vanilla ice cream right now.”

California Senator Dianne Feinstein has been in the news because she has gummed up the Senate Judiciary Committee by not being in Washington DC. She is 89 years old and has health issues. She has rebuffed calls for her to not just temporarily remove herself from her Committee role but step down from her job entirely before her term is up in 2024.

I would hope that she would step aside for the sake of the nation. The truth is that there are several people who need to retire because they are simply too old for the job. Some of the people required to force Feinstein out of office are near to her same age.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi appeared to imply that she thinks calls for Feinstein to resign over her vote absences on health grounds are sexist. Since Pelosi suffers from similar drawbacks to her health, sexism is going to be used rather frequently.

Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnel is a legislator I wish would resign. He has messed up enough races in his own party to give control of the Senate to the Democrats. Voters keep sending him back because they want government money that he can bring to the state. What may be good for Kentucky has been a disaster for the nation.

The election of Penn. Senator John Fetterman set a new low in a person’s willingness to elect mentally challenged people. He cannot function as a normal person. It may sound harsh to say, but he is nothing but a puppet that says words that are printed out for him.

If they had pulled Howdy Doody out of mothballs in the Detroit Institute of Arts and ran him in Fetterman’s place, it may have been an improvement. Soon after coming to the office, Fetterman had to seek mental health treatment to combat depression caused by his stroke.

Hillary Clinton currently does not hold any public office. In 2016 we nearly had her as president. The only factor that saved us was that she was such a nasty person that the American people decided to go with Donald Trump.

The reason why we have so many mentally challenged people in office is that we are getting the type of people we deserve. As our nation loses its morality, we are led by people who reflect our weakness.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” (Proverbs 29:2).

Les Feldick—A Most Faithful Servant

Les Feldick, TV host and in-depth Bible teacher almost without peer, is now in the arms of the Lord he served devotedly for many decades.

Les, I easily acknowledge, invested heavily in my own desire to serve in our Lord’s great cause. For many years, his program, Thru the Bible with Les Feldick, was and continues to be on my TV screen while I begin my mornings, usually around 4 am. His program was—and still is—on four times on various channels, and I sometimes will listen twice to hear the points he made in those hundreds of programs over the years.

Like Paul, the great apostle, wrote, our minds can’t truly know all the things the Lord has prepared for us when our course on earth is finished. Certainly, those heavenly marvels must be spectacular beyond all human imagination for this man of God.

Thankfully, Les will, through his TV programs, continue to teach us until the Lord calls in the way the Lord has called Les, or until the Rapture—that blessed event Les Feldick so enthusiastically taught at every opportunity.

Below is the obituary his family presents to honor beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

We will soon see him again, alive and well for eternity. The great reunion with Les is just a heartbeat—or twinkling of an eye moment—away.

*****

Dear friends,

On Wednesday, April 5th, at approximately 8:30 p.m., surrounded by his loving wife Iris and family, Les Feldick passed from this world into eternal Glory. Les was a true workman that needed not be ashamed because he devoted his life to serving the Lord Jesus through teaching God’s Word rightly divided as stated in II Timothy 2:15. He was able to remain at the place he loved most on Earth, his cattle ranch in Lona Valley, until the very end. Although Les has left us bodily, his legacy will live on through the ministry he and Iris began in 1990. “Through the Bible” has and will continue to bless many with a deeper understanding of Biblical truths.

Prayers for the family are greatly appreciated, but we would ask that you not send flowers, gifts, etc. Many of you have asked about the future, and we want to ease your minds—”Through the Bible” will continue! Les expressed to us many times his wishes for us to carry on with the ministry, and that is what we intend to do as long as the Lord allows. Les always stressed that it took the efforts of many people to bring this teaching to the masses, and there are many who are working to ensure it continues for years to come.

Eugene Les Eugene Feldick was born June 6, 1927, to Ted and Lu Feldick at home on the farm near Buffalo Center, Iowa. He passed peacefully into Glory on April 5, 2023, at the age of 95. Les was raised on a family farm. He graduated from Buffalo Center High School as class president in 1944.

As a young man, Les enjoyed farming, sports, history, and listening to good gospel preaching on the radio while he milked the cows.

Les enrolled at the University of Montana in Missoula. Out of love and commitment to his family and the land, he returned to the family farm before graduating.

Les joined the Army in 1950 and served at the Army/Navy Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

Les met Iris Gray on Valentine’s Day in 1953. They were married on June 21, 1953. Les and his new bride moved from Hot Springs, AR, back to the family farm near Buffalo Center, Iowa. They raised three children in the love and admonition of Jesus Christ.

Early in his farming career, Les began teaching from the Bible to a small home Bible study group under the leading and encouragement of a close friend and missionary.

Other weekly home Bible studies were soon requested of Les, who was blessed greatly by God with the gift of Bible teaching. God’s Word did not return void. Many hearts, minds, and souls were transformed to the glory of God through those small, home Bible study groups.

Les moved his family to an Oklahoma cattle ranch near Kinta, OK, in 1975, not far from where Iris was born and raised. Iris continued as a registered nurse, and Les developed a cow/calf operation.

Not long after moving to Oklahoma, Les was asked to lead a morning Bible study with the Stigler police force. Upon invitation, other weekly Bible studies began in Tahlequah, Wilburton, Muskogee, and McAlester, Oklahoma. A request to televise a Bible study led by Les in Tulsa, OK, was made in 1990. This locally televised and “temporary” program began what would become a ministry of worldwide impact. The sound biblical teachings of a Holy Spirit-led, self-taught farmer/rancher continue to inspire and instruct millions worldwide.

Les is survived by his sweetheart of 70 years, Iris. Greg (wife-Janette,) their first-born,) and Todd (wife-Kim,) their third child, remember their dad with love, admiration, respect, and gratitude. His sister, Jan, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren also remain. Laura, their daughter, preceded her father in death in 2017. Les’ brother, Harley, also preceded him in death.

*****

Les no doubt has now heard our Lord say to him: “Well done, good, faithful servant.”
