Climate Change Vs. End-Time Birth Pains

Large wildfires have been raging across Western Canada over the past few weeks, burning close to 500,000 hectares (nearly 1 million acres). The fires have forced the evacuation of tens of thousands of residents and have caused significant structural damage.

Large plumes of smoke produced by the fires have stretched from west to east across the North American continent, significantly impacting air quality in several areas. New York City experienced hazardous air quality levels on June 6, primarily due to smoke from these fires.

The east coast has been particularly affected, with smoke from fires in Nova Scotia and Quebec playing a significant role. Currently, the Quebec region is grappling with over 160 forest fires, further exacerbating the situation.

Air quality alerts have been issued in several other cities. When the smoke was at its peak, the sky turned. It is very strange that the same profound weather condition took place on the west coast in 2021 and 2022.

Many Christians wonder if these firestorms are the result of climate change or the product of end-time birth pains. In recent years, the world has witnessed an increase in extreme weather events driven possibly by climate change. From heat waves and droughts to hurricanes and flooding, the frequency and severity of these events are on the rise.

The key thing about climate change is that it should get worse over a long period of time. The temp will go up 5 degrees in the next 50 years. Ocean Water levels are forecasted to go up by four inches.

A lot of events that strike are not part of a steady process. They come out of nowhere and often create a 1000-year event. Houston had a third 1000-year event when hurricane Harvey poured down massive amounts of water that set records that a tropical jungle couldn’t match.

In 2011 we broke several longstanding records for tornadoes. The next year, it was a record low for tornadoes. The next year was another record low for tornadoes. Oklahoma and Kansas had the latest reporting for the formation of a twister in each state.

In 2005 Wilma was the strongest hurricane on record to make landfall in Dominica. It was the fastest storm to reach a Category 5 storm, and it stayed at Cat 5 longer than any other storm. Wilma was the most intense tropical cyclone ever recorded in the Atlantic basin.

We had such a massive rise in monster hurricanes, people started fearing living on the shore line. Right after Maria plowed into Puerto Rico, we experienced a drought for hurricanes. We went a record 10 years without a US state being hit by a category 1 hurricane.

In 2021 the state of Texas nearly suffered a grid-wide electrical meltdown because it relied too much on windmills, solar cells, and natural gas. God sent down a record cold blast to embarrass the green energy planners. The incident was also likely an end-time birth pain.

Over the years, I’ve done many searches on “record cold,” and they don’t seem to be decreasing. Here is a fresh one from a few days ago: The last day of spring and the first day of summer both brought record-cold temperatures to Baker City, Oregon. The temperature at the Baker City Airport dropped to 29 degrees on Tuesday, June 20, breaking the previous record for the date of 30 set in 2012. The next morning, the summer solstice, the temperature at the airport dipped to 30 degrees, breaking the record of 32 set in 1960.

The reason why there was a name change from global warming to climate change is that we keep having record cold events. Several global warming conferences were canceled because snow storms occurred in cities that rarely get freezing temperatures. I have a running joke with Terry and his son. If we have a heatwave, say we need Al Gore to fly over the state in his jet. The former vice president has been embarrassed several times by Old Man Winter (God).

Weather, by its nature, makes wild moves. It could be 80 degrees in one location. A day later, it could be 20 below and snowing. Most birth pains are unrelated to weather, which is why they work so well.

“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains” (Matthew 24:8-10).

Enemies in Dreamland

An obvious bravado is again building within the perennial enemies of God’s chosen nation. There seems to be no let-up by the satanically deluded and driven antagonists of Israel. Their plans continue to harbor the rage to destroy the Jewish state, to, as they often express, push Israel into the Mediterranean, never to be heard from again.

Iran’s ongoing vow to wipe Israel from the face of the earth is joined by the Islamic states and terrorist organizations surrounding the nation. The configuration of such enemies would seem to give validity to the belief that it is all building toward fulfillment of the so-called Psalm 83 war.

While I don’t believe there will be a war separate from Gog-Magog that involves the words wrapped up in the imprecatory prayer found in Psalm 83, I could certainly be wrong, and my good friend, Bill Salus, for example, could be correct. Bill is the first I know of to set in order writing that portrays Psalm 83 as a kinetic conflict yet future. I some years ago wrote a review upon his book’s release on the matters involved, allowing the possibility that he was right. At that time, I nonetheless disagreed. And, as I say, I continue to do so, even while things going on within the councils of Israel’s blood-vowed enemies become increasingly intriguing.

Developments are interesting particularly because Israel’s enemy Islamic neighbors, despite having lost each major attempt to carry out Nasser’s and others’ Allah-vowed promises to rid the world of the Jews, now issue boisterous declarations that Israel is as good as vanquished. It is as if they are living in a dreamland they neither can nor even wish to exit.

But such arrogance doesn’t surprise. Humanity, in general, continues down the same destructive path, unable and/or unwilling to learn that the cyclical pattern through mankind’s history continues. The trajectory always takes mankind into worldwide conflict and worldwide carnage. Psalm 2 explains God’s view of the foolishness of man’s grasp for power God’s Word forbids.

The Lord scattered mankind after the Flood and upon the tower-building at Babel. Global wars, with megalomania and desire for world conquest at their core, have ended the same way.

Yet Israel’s enemies take no note of these obviously inescapable consequences laid out by the God who knows—and foretells—the end from the beginning.

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) released a new survey on Wednesday that painted a grim picture of a Palestinian public overwhelmingly supportive of violence toward Israel, with two-thirds believing that Israel will not celebrate its hundredth anniversary…

When asked what has been the most positive or the best thing that has happened to the Palestinian people since 1948, the largest percentage (24%) said that it was the establishment of Islamic movements, such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad (both classified as terrorist organizations) and their participation in “armed struggle.” 21% said the first and second intifadas were the most positive developments in Palestinian history since 1948. Israel’s chief antagonist, Iran, is ratcheting up threats, declaring God’s nation will soon be completely destroyed. Israel, foretold by Ezekiel to be one of the primary nations that will attack in the God-Magog War, is boasting of its Fattah Missile, which it proclaims can travel at fourteen times the speed of sound.

The hypersonic weapon joins like weapons produced by Russia and China, according to some military experts.

Both Russia and China also threaten use of these super cruise-missile-type weapons as part of their aggression sights set on Ukraine and on Taiwan. These can be tipped with nuclear warheads, apparently, but experts say any weapon traveling at that speed might be hard to govern because development of controls capabilities lag behind the advanced explosive weapons themselves.

In the case of Iran, it seems mostly bluster at this point. The Iranians have to hold weaponry development involving nuclear application close to the vest. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. And they must know he’s not kidding. Israel’s survival is at stake.

Or is it?

When it comes to the survival of Israel, the God of Heaven that neither slumbers nor sleeps, says the following:

“This is what the Lord says, ‘He who appoints the sun to shine by day, Who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar— the Lord Almighty is His Name; Only if these ordinances vanish from My sight, declares the Lord, will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before Me” (Jeremiah 31: 35–36).

One way Israel’s God has seen to it that His chosen people survive and even thrive is through blessing them with the ability to create, in some cases, almost miraculous technological breakthroughs. This has been true, particularly in the matter of technological warfare capabilities.

Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems on Wednesday said it was developing a new system that would be able to intercept incoming hypersonic missiles traveling at five times the speed of sound on a complex trajectory which makes them difficult to intercept…

“The SkySonic interceptor will enable us to intercept all kinds of hypersonic threats— hypersonic ballistic missiles, hypersonic cruise missiles,” Yuval Steinitz, chairman of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd, said. The system is scheduled to be on display next week during the Paris Air Show.

The Pentagon was briefed on the development, Rafael said. It declined to say if or when the Israeli military might deploy SkySonic. Israel’s defense ministry had no immediate comment.

Bottom line is that we should never fear for the nation of Israel so far as survival is concerned. We should and are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, of course. To do so is to pray that the Prince of Peace returns to put an end to all the wickedness to which Israel—and the rest of us—are subjected during this prophetic time leading to the Tribulation and Christ’s Second Advent.

Israel’s enemies—and ours, the enemies of Jesus Christ, who is also our protector—are living in a dreamland of delusion. They will neither conquer nor destroy God’s chosen people, nor the people who belong to Jesus.

Here once again is how to make certain you belong to Him:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9–10).

The Death of Justice in America

Once again former President Donald Trump has been indicted by a leftist court system. He faces 37 counts as part of the probe into Trump’s document handling and whether the former president tried to keep the records from being returned after the end of his White House tenure.

The liberal media noted that Trump is the first former U.S. president to face federal criminal charges. He is also the first president to be wiretapped by the FBI in a case. He is the first president to be banned on social media. He is the first president to have his phone raided.

Earlier this year, Trump also became the first former president to face state criminal charges when he was indicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in an investigation by the Manhattan district attorney.

He also faces charges related to the Stormy Daniels affair. In April he was charged with 34 separate counts by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. The alleged crime was falsifying business records to cover up the hush money payments he paid to the porn actress.

The latest case against Trump is extremely weak. There is no indication that Trump destroyed or edited classified documents. He is of the belief that he can declassify documents at will. The Espionage Act was not mentioned in the indictment because it’s clear that Trump was not planning on providing classified material to anyone.

His treatment shows that there is a two-tier legal system in America, one for Democrats and one for Republicans. When Hillary Clinton was found to have classified information on private email systems in her house, she got a pass from the Justice Department. Never mind that Clinton destroyed evidence and made it possible for our enemies to hack her server.

Of the roughly 30,000 emails turned over by Clinton’s representatives, the FBI has said, 110 emails in 52 email chains were found to have classified information, including some at the top-secret level.

The White House disclosed in January that a lawyer for Biden had a “small number” of classified documents from his time as vice president during a search of the Washington office space of Biden’s former institute. The documents were turned over to the Justice Department.

Lawyers for Biden subsequently located an additional batch of classified documents at Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, and the FBI found even more during a search of the property. There is zero chance that the Delaware District Attorney would launch an investigation regarding why Biden would have classified documents in his home.

In a poll of Republican voters, 61 percent said the indictment “won’t change” their view of the former president. Seven percent said the indictment might change their view “for the worse,” and 14 percent say “for the better.” Eighteen percent said it “depends.”

Trump now has 22 investigations against him, and it should be obvious that it is because he is the leading candidate to run against Biden in 2024. The reason why Trump is constantly getting into legal trouble is that an activist leftist lawyer goes to an activist leftist Judge, saying they want to charge Trump with a new crime. The liberal media does the final step by acting like these are such a shocking historic chain of events.

The Justice Department is so busy with Trump, real criminals must be getting a huge break. Trump has already had a Special Counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. He was impeached twice for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

The Trump Foundation: This was a charitable foundation established by Trump that was accused of using donated funds for personal and political purposes. The New York Attorney General’s office filed a lawsuit against the foundation in 2018, and in 2019, the foundation agreed to dissolve and distribute its remaining assets to other charities.

He was even invested under the emoluments clause: This is a provision of the Constitution that prohibits federal officials from receiving gifts or payments from foreign governments. Trump was accused of violating the emoluments clause by continuing to profit from his businesses, which have international dealings while serving as President. Several lawsuits were filed against Trump on this issue, but they were dismissed by the courts on various grounds.

One of the greatest injustices here is using Trump’s own lawyers against him, which rips the heart out of the attorney-client privilege. Trump’s legal fate could now hinge on testimony and evidence from two men he paid to defend him: M. Evan Corcoran, who is still a member of his legal team, and Michael Cohen, a former lawyer for Trump.

If Trump is knocked out of the race and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis becomes the lead candidate, the criminal probe machine will focus on him. There is one indication a partial switch is in the works. When DeSantis flew illegal immigrants to California, the left said this was a kidnapping. One reporter asked California Gov. Newson if DeSantis should be arrested the next time he visits the state. Newson backed away from the question because the timing is not yet right for such a bold move.

We could soon reach the point where your legal chances are solely based on your voting record. We’ll be back to the days of the old West where justice came out of the barrel of a gun. Your prospects of winning a case will strongly relate to how much money you paid the judge. The few judges that use constitutional principles as their guidelines will end up in shallow graves.

Several times the Bible describes the last days as a time of lawlessness that will be run by the man of lawlessness. The insane number of legal actions against Trump shows us that the tribulation hour is very near.

“Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

“Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way” (2 Thessalonians 2:3–7 NIV).

This Power Grab

Do you trust anything coming from government mouthpieces these days? I must say that I do not. Every level of federal officialdom is observably steeped in Luciferian prevarication, so far as I am concerned.

There is simply nothing biblical about this grab for power and control by a government inebriated on the dollars it can print and spend almost by presidential fiat. If it truly were a biblically correct–rather than a politically correct–effort, I would have no problem with it.

Now to look more deeply into the reason Christians shouldn’t support this or any such grab for control that ultimately will enslave.

Human governance, we must remember, is not God’s Idea. It is man’s idea–to do things apart from the Creator. We see this from history given us in the Bible–and that’s the only history that counts in God’s dealing with us, in my understanding of the matters involved.

Adam’s first decision to disobey God and instead accept Lucifer’s way was rebellion against God’s governance, and it came to a crisis point when the whole world became filled with violence and was corrupted in every other way–producing total anarchy. The Flood provided a new beginning.

Then came the crisis on the Plain of Shinar with Nimrod and the tower of Babel. Again, God dealt with the crisis, and the whole of humanistic government was destroyed and the people scattered–Peleg and the peoples of earth were geographically redistributed, and all of the rest…

Israel was the next example. The chosen of God–the Jewish people–wanted human government, not God’s reign over them. The Lord let them have Saul. That is because He is a God who gave mankind volition. He wants His creation to love Him unconditionally; He doesn’t want robots engineered to adore Him.

Lying, humanistic government is again building to a supreme crisis point. It has always built to crises points. Every civilization, empire, etc., has come apart, dissolved, or been destroyed because of the rebellion and determination to live apart from God.

This time, it is building like the Vesuvius of all rebellions. America is the apex nation of all nations and is the head of this gargantuan boil that is filling with explosive corruption that will one day blow. All nations of the world have, through being linked to the dollar, been tied inextricably to the U.S. –the most materially blessed of all nations to have come to power upon the planet’s surface. Now America is the hold up to the new world order the globalist minions want to create. They are in the process of doing all within their power, through the World Economic Forum and other such one-world organizations, to destroy America as founded. Those within the American government at the highest levels are in cahoots with their new world order cabalists, doing all they can to change America from its founding in order to turn it over to the likes of the World Economic Forum and other anti-God forces.

All of this corruption constitutes the Babylonian system, which Daniel and John prophesied in presenting the strange beast that comes up out of the sea in Revelation 1 and lumbers about in Daniel 7.

America is bound to Israel in a supernatural way, and it is all tied together by the incessant call for peace–not God’s peace and the Prince of Peace, but humanistic peace. The result is going to be exactly as God gives it in Psalms 2, then the “kings of the earth” will achieve the “peace” they desire, as given in Isaiah 28:15 and 18.

Man will get his humanistic government; the ultimately “evolved” man will be earth’s master for a brief time, God letting man have his desire to do what is right in his own eyes.

This current bubble of humanistic effort to build utopia, which supposedly can be achieved through a drive for humanistic socialism (that’s the only kind of socialism there is), will explode when the rapture occurs and the top is knocked off the boil. Only God’s staying hand has kept things from imploding–economic collapse, etc.

So, I am against man-made efforts in wanting to micromanage our lives. Such efforts comprise the grist for tyranny. You see where it’s going. It is nothing more or less than a Luciferian grab for power–a voracious lust for control by his human agents and agencies.

God gave man, through the Bible, the formula for living life the way He intended. His Word says, in effect, that we should “let those who won’t work, not eat” (see 2 Thes. 3:10, 12). He gave us the way to take care of the widows, orphans, and the infirm–even the legitimately indigent. This is to be done through the largesse of God’s people, those who fully accept His way of governance. The Lord Jesus Christ is that only way. Man long ago decided to dispense with God’s prescription in dealing with matters of societal interaction. Burdensome, enslaving, lying government seeks power through promising deliverance from social ills it can never produce. What it will produce, however, we can see in Bible prophecy’s description of humanistic government’s final attempt to usurp the throne of God. (Read Revelation 13:16-18.)
