A Very Large Number of Young People Identify as LGBT

A growing number of surveys have made known an alarming sexual trend in America. A high percentage of young adults label themselves as being LGBT. The percentages are as high as 38%, which was taken at Harvard University.

Nadine Ness, the head of the watchdog group Unified Grassroots, recently shared her concern over these high numbers. She said a father told her that in his 13-year-old son’s class, 13 out of 30 young people identify as LGBT. She was also notified of a principal in a different school telling a parent that some 32 percent of Grade 7 and 8 students identify as LGBT.

“I think it sends a clear message that something is happening in the classroom that is leading kids to go that route of either identifying or being confused about gender,” said Ness.

I remember that several decades ago, many Christian apologists were attacking the left’s claim that 10% of the population was gay. At the time, the real number was around 4%. To jump nearly tenfold by any length of time is shocking.

The people saying they are LGBT are clearly being influenced by popular culture, which praises people who claim they are outside traditional sexual roles. A university’s level of liberalism is directly related to the number of individuals who identify as LGBT. All the northern Ivy League colleges are in the 30% range, while schools in the conservative south are mostly in the 20% range.

Some studies have pointed out that half the population has the potential for a shift in sexual orientation. Sexual fluidity in attractions was reported by 63% of females and 50% of males.

When I went to high school in Storm Lake, Iowa, I don’t recall a single person being known as anything other than heterosexual. Out of a student body of 400, it would be likely that some people were gay, but they remained silent.

I did several searches of my local high school here in Benton, AR, and I found several examples of people who would identify as LGBT. All the issues of the Big Cities are playing out in small-town Benton. The City’s library system is exposing children to pornographic propaganda from the left. In June, the school was part of an LGBT pride event. Terry and I know of a girl who says she is a lesbian. Two people made the bizarre claim to be a cat and a dog, which is why some people add a plus sign to LGBT. The Cat person asked for a litter box to be installed in the bathroom. In 2020, one student was charged with a number of sex crimes.

There is one study that points out how dangerous it is to allow teachers to encourage children to explore other sexual orientations. Once a boy decides he likes other boys, it is very unlikely that he will return to heterosexuality.

One study by Steven E. Mock and Richard P. Eibach from 2011 shows only 2% of 2,560 adult participants included in the National Survey of Midlife Development reported a change in sexual orientation identities over a 10-year period. Once you go gay, you tend to stay that way.

We are born with minds like wet cement. You can shape a child’s thinking up until the cement hardens. We learned from tragic cases of child abuse that young minds need protection. Some children have been locked away for years like solitary prisoners, and when they are rescued, they suffer from mental disabilities that can never be fully reversed.

Things are not hopeless. I’ve seen reports about men who were deep into the gay lifestyle that got saved and completely turned their lives around. Many get married and raise a family.

Even if 100% of the people who identify as LGBT are just doing so to please their teachers, it still shows how morally corrupt our nation has become. There was a time when gay people were thought to be mentally ill. Today, we have a press that holds up perverts as heroes.

The greatest example of sexual wickedness is the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha. When the two angels went into Lot’s house, they were so good-looking that a vast number of the men of Sodom surrounded the house and demanded access to them so they could have sex with the heavenly visitors.

The punishment of Sodom and Gomorrha should warn us what can happen when a city or nation suffers a complete moral collapse. It would take decades to reach the level of sexual debauchery that was common in Sodom. We are so far ahead in many other areas, our wickedness outweighs these two cities. There is an old saying that has become more true with each passing day. Someone said, “If God doesn’t judge America, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrha.”

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 1:7).

Believers, Take Comfort

Every significant prophetic signal is appearing every hour, indicating that Christ will at any twinkling-of-the-eye moment call believers to Himself. God’s Word offers great comfort to those who have accepted His grace gift of salvation to those who believe Christ died so they, personally, can be redeemed from the sin into which we’re all born.

I think it’s good to use this column this week to post the Scriptures that promise the soon-coming rescue from this world of growing wickedness.

We are told to take comfort from thinking about and believing the stupendous promise of the Rapture.

Here are a number of those scriptural promises:

John 14:1–3: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

Romans 8:19: “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”

1 Corinthians 1:7–8: “So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 15:51–53: “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

Philippians 3:20–21: “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”

Colossians 3:4: “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”

1 Thessalonians 1:10: “And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

1 Thessalonians 2:19: “For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?”

1 Thessalonians 4:13–18: “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:23: “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Thessalonians 2:1–3: “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.”

1 Peter 1:7, 13: “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ….. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

1 John 2:28, 3:2: “And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming…. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”

Jude 21: “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

Revelation 2:25: “But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.”

Revelation 3:10: “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”

Remember, with the privilege of the great promise of Rapture comes the responsibility of each of us to witness of His soul-saving sacrifice on the cross so many will join God’s family before their death or before that seven years of Tribulation that is awaiting those who reject Jesus, the only hope for lost humanity.

Here, again, is the Scripture in witness to Christ’s saving power:

Romans 10:9–10: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Witchcraft and the Occult Gets a New Facelift and a New Outlet

Witchcraft, also known as Wicca or Paganism, is difficult to quantify in terms of popularity because it is a decentralized and diverse spiritual practice with a wide range of beliefs and practices. However, it is generally accepted that the popularity of Witchcraft has been growing steadily in recent years.

According to a 2014 Pew Research Center survey, approximately 0.4% of the U.S. adult population, or about 1 to 1.5 million people, identify as Wiccans or Pagans. However, this number may be an underestimate, as many people who practice Witchcraft do not necessarily identify as Wiccan or Pagan.

The popularity of Witchcraft can be seen in the increasing number of books, websites, and social media platforms related to the subject. Additionally, Witchcraft has become more mainstream and accepted in popular culture, with TV shows, movies, and books featuring witches and witchcraft becoming increasingly popular.

At one time, it was very difficult to purchase books on the occult because most bookstores and publishers refused to deal with material that had a demonic label. Jimmy Page has been a devoted follower of the occultist Aleister Crowley. To get his hands on books by Crowley and other devilish works, Page opened in London an occult bookshop and publishing house called The Equinox Booksellers and Publishers. Some of Crowley’s books were so rare, Page had to go to auctions and outbid everyone with his Led Zeppelin money.

The Equinox was never designed to be a profitable venture but just to exist so it could distribute these books. Page wrote in an autobiography that there was not one bookshop in London with a good collection of occult books, and he was frustrated at not being able to get the books he wanted.

Today, books on Witchcraft and the Occult are a mouse click away. Amazon has become a massive powerhouse in book sales. The company is responsible for over 50% of sales from the Big Five publishers and controls between 50% and 80% of the book distribution in the United States. Amazon sells at least 300 million print books every year.

It’s clear that Amazon sells numerous books on the dark arts because subjects like Wicca, Witchcraft, Paganism, and Satanism have their own categories. Many of the books rank very high on the overall sales list. One book that has been out for 8 years is still ranked at #1,134.

Many of the books use clever new ploys to get around “Stigmation, misunderstanding, discrimination” by what I would assume are Christians. Books are often labeled as workbooks, so you can purchase a “Guided Astrology Workbook” and a witchcraft workbook. It’s the same old subject but with a more classroom approach. Some books offer people the ability to cast spells with green plants, herbs, and crystals.

I was most amazed by the book Spirits Beside Us: Gain Healing and Comfort from Loved Ones in the Afterlife. It teaches people how to communicate with the dead, which is something the Bible strictly forbids. Someone may think they have contacted their dead grandmother, but the being in the other realm may have horns growing out of its head.

I found one type of book that only had a slight connection to the occult, but it’s very popular. It’s called shadow work, and it was #1 in the category of Spirituality.

Shadow work is a term used to describe the process of exploring and integrating the unconscious or hidden parts of oneself. These hidden parts, also known as the “shadow,” contain aspects of our personality and emotions that we may have repressed or denied due to societal or personal conditioning.

Shadow work involves delving into these aspects of ourselves through self-reflection, introspection, and other therapeutic techniques. It can involve identifying and confronting negative patterns of behavior, thought, and emotions, and working to understand and integrate them into our conscious awareness.

The mixture of psychology and spiritual self-help is dangerous because it can identify a problem, but it cannot provide a solution that will ultimately work.

I used to think that all occult practices were a bunch of harmless nonsense. Spells don’t work, people don’t get insights into secret knowledge, and I doubt anyone has ever turned their enemy into a black cat.

Then I learned of the tragedy that often comes to people who dabble in the occult. If you invite demonic forces into your life, they will cause problems because of their evil nature. The Bible warns that our main struggle in this world is with fallen angels that seek our destruction.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

The Lucifer Syndrome

It is that thing termed iniquity that bends the finite mind beyond understanding – that infinite mystery which makes one frame the question: how can a God Who’s every Facet is framed by perfection have allowed such a thing as iniquity to exist?

That mystery brought sin into the world, thus death and all subsequent evil involved in separation of man from his Creator. Iniquity is what is on the rise in this world now, as powerfully as was its engendering rebellion in the Garden of Eden and during antediluvian times.

The introduction of its appearance is found in the following.

“Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire” (Ezekiel 28:14-16).

God’s Word further chronicles the effects of this thing called iniquity upon the once magnificent created being called Lucifer.

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High” (Isa 14:12-14).

Throughout the eons, this once glorious creature –perhaps the most glorious of all before God’s creation of a creature in His own Image He called man— has infected all of the created order of which we are aware. This thing called iniquity runs rampant amongst the globalist would-be gods –the human minions within the powers and principalities of Ephesians 6:12.

These, under Lucifer’s (Satan’s) guidance, are striving with all within their wealth and power to, like that old serpent himself, usurp God’s authority. They are attempting to change God’s Order of things at every turn.

They are at the center of the rebellion found within the entities that want to change the biological order. i.e., they say a person can be the gender of their choice rather than the one they were born. These declare man can relate to man, and woman to woman, sexually, just as was going on during the pre-catastrophic moment in the days of Lot in Sodom. Such anti-God thinking promotes more and more the sexual exploitation of children in ways too egregious to detail here.

This is what I term the Lucifer Syndrome. They are of their father the devil, as Jesus put it. They believe and practice the lies Lucifer the fallen still foists upon mankind just as he has done since he, as serpent, entered the pristine Garden of Eden and told Eve and then Adam that they could be as God Himself.

The Lucifer Syndrome is infecting and affecting all who want to assume authority over this judgment-bound planet.

They have invented the term climate change in pursuit of establishing their control. We have witnessed their nefarious doings, especially over recent months and years.

Their Agenda 30 and their Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) are currently scheduled to be brought to a fast-track implementation this September. Climate Change is, of course, at the heart of their plans to create crises sufficient to cause global panic. Thus they intend to force all to come within their Great Reset blueprint, thereby bringing about changes of their own making rather than keeping things as God has determined.

There are reports of their doing things like putting a screen of sorts between the Sun and Planet Earth. They must do this to cut down on global warming and other harmful effects, as they perceive such.

In reading all the reports of weather-induced disasters, it seems that God is allowing the geophysical elements to feed their frenzy. The SDG sorts, in their Lucifer Syndrome reprobate thinking, believe all of the increased, volatile weather to be caused by such things as increased carbon footprint wrought by man’s abuse of the planet.

However, I’m convinced it is the Words of Jesus we are witnessing being played out with all the truly ramped-up weather-related events we are seeing. (A quick review of Rapture Ready News and the reports from around the world bears this out to be sure.)

Jesus, we remember, said the following to the Judaizers who tried to get Him to silence those who were praising Him as He entered Jerusalem on the donkey.

“And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out” (Luke 19:40).

We are witnessing, I’m convinced, much of mankind turning their backs on God. The very elements –the created order– therefore are speaking out in Witness to His Glory.

The anti-God forces –those infected by the Lucifer Syndrome—want to usurp God’s Throne. They, whether wittingly or unwittingly, are, like their father the devil, spreading and perpetuating the lie that there is man-made climate change that will destroy the planet. They want all people of earth to follow their lies down the broad way that leads away from the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

This all means, I believe, that the Lord is hastening the shaping of stage-setting for the man of sin and his regime of control. –Thus to, through God’s Judgment and Wrath, bring about the end of the rebellion that began long ago when iniquity first entered the thoughts of Lucifer. It means, more importantly for believers of this Age of Grace, that the Lord Jesus is about to call His Church into the clouds of Glory in the twinkling of an eye.

Here is how to go to Jesus when He makes that Call.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).
