Unabashed Anti-Semitism

The phrase “Never again” has long been linked to the aftermath of the Holocaust. The first usage of Never Again is murky, but most likely began in postwar Israel. The phrase was used in secular kibbutzim there in the late 1940s; it was used in a Swedish documentary on the Holocaust in 1961.

The “never again” cry is one that could have been declared several times in history. There have been at least 20 occasions when some power has decided to wipe out the Jewish race. When the Spanish Inquisition chased them out of Spain and Portugal, the Sultan of Turkey issued a formal invitation to Jews, and they started arriving in the empire in great numbers. He couldn’t believe that the Catholic church was driving out doctors, lawyers, and men of good business skills.

In the Western world, the lessons of the Holocaust have for decades maintained a no-tolerance policy against any form of anti-Semitism. I remember when anyone who dared to downsize the horrors of World War II would be in immediate trouble. Even the liberal press would get on their case. In many countries, it was illegal to own a copy of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.

In the past few years, there has been a rapid erosion of the “never again” pledge. Then-President Barack Obama used the phrase in a universal sense in marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2011. In Parkland it was used as a call for gun control. In other ways, it’s been a call for anti-militancy.

We have quickly reached the point where it is possible for people who are openly anti-Semitic to have a foothold in society. Most of these people are members of the Islamic faith. In Europe, there are continuous anti-Semitic hate crimes committed by Muslims, and they go unpunished because the citizens of Europe are too timid in dealing with the massive problem.

Last year, Robert D. Bowers shot and killed 11 people at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the United States. Bowers had no previous criminal history. His evil act just came out of nowhere.

The recent election of Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar is very troubling because she is clearly a person with deep-seated anti-Semitic views. Since she has been in office, her fixation has been on making racist remarks again Jews. When one mistake turns into six anti-Semitic remarks, you have someone who has proven herself as a Jew hater.

Omar was appearing at a forum in Washington, and she claimed everything she says about Israel is construed as anti-Semitic because she’s Muslim. Omar is a racist because she says racist things about Jews, which she did at the forum. Omar revived an old trope about divided loyalties among Jewish-Americans when she criticized the idea that it’s “OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country.”

Omar repeated her remorse for the pain that her previous comments have caused. This is a standard excuse used by racists. They regret the pain caused by their words, but not the words themselves.

The House Democrats had planned to vote on a resolution to formally condemn recent anti-Semitic statements by Omar, but it was shelved after several progressive groups and lawmakers came to Omar’s defense. What finally passed was a motion to condemn all forms of prejudice. Since Omar thinks that she is being singled out because of her Islamic faith, she will see no rebuke in this pointless resolution.

Noura Erakat, a leftist assistant professor at George Mason University, came to Omar’s defense with the insane logic that permeates the Democratic Party. She said, in addition to being a visible, black, Muslim woman who is also a refugee, it becomes too easy for Omar’s attackers to lean into racist, Islamophobic attacks to silence her.

There is a meme poster that has sparked controversy on social media. It consists of two photos. The upper photo was a picture of the World Trade Center towers during the 9/11 attack. A caption read, “‘NEVER FORGET’ – YOU SAID…”  Below it was a photo of Omar wearing a hijab. That picture’s caption said, “I AM PROOF – YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN.”

I think the creator of the poster makes a fair point. Omar has proven herself to be a friend of terrorists. I think the people of her district have lost their minds to have this dingbat represent them.

To have a freshman congresswoman able to be an Unabashed anti-Semitic will open the floodgates of anti-Jewish hate. Many years ago, I realized that Bible prophecy seemed to indicate that America would likely become hostile to people of the Jewish race. Just as quickly as the tide has changed in Europe, the day may soon come when American Jews would feel safer in Israel.

“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land” (Ezek. 36:24).

“I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them… I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them” (Amos 9:14-15).

Tearing Down the Walls

I preface this commentary with an acknowledgement that rumors have it that the Trump administration might insist that Israel tear down some of its walls that separate that tiny nation from its blood-vowed enemies–thus to put together “the deal of the century.”

This, of course, brings to mind the prophet Ezekiel’s foretelling that Israel will be a ”land of unwalled villages” at the time of the Gog-Magog attack. We will address that at another time, if true that this administration will make that wall removal part of “the deal. And I assure the assessment here, if this turns out to be fact, will not be gentle.

Most people as young as 20, and certainly those of us of sufficient age in the late 1980s, know the source of the phrase. President Ronald Reagan demanded, while standing at the Berlin Wall in Germany: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”

The reference, of course, was to that hideous, concrete and iron edifice that scarred the middle of Berlin, separating the western part of the city from the east.

The purpose of the Berlin Wall was not to keep people out of Soviet-dominated East Berlin. It was to keep east Berliners from escaping from the dehumanizing, communist regime that was the puppet of Soviet dictator Mikhail Gorbachev’s Soviet Union.

U.S. President John F. Kennedy had in 1961 stood near the same spot as Reagan and pointed for all the world to see and hear the evil represented by the wall. President Kennedy  said to anyone who wanted to see the difference between the free world and the iron curtain regimes: “Let them come to Berlin!”

Today we are inundated every day by mainstream news reports that try to equate that enslaving wall those decades ago to the wall or barrier on the southern U.S. border that President Donald J. Trump is determined to build.

That wall, of course, is to keep invaders from coming into America, not to keep the American people from leaving this nation. And, make no mistake, those who want to enter America illegally are invaders, not innocent people just seeking a better life.

It is true that many among the invaders are innocent in age and motive. These are unwitting tools of those who profit from the invasion.

The evil, criminal forces that are expert at piercing security at the borders profit monetarily. Those among the deep state and “progressive” political elements within the U.S. are intent on gaining greatly and permanently from the invasion. They want the wall torn down where it exists and kept from construction in areas Mr. Trump is determined to fortify against invasion. These political entities–both in government and in media–want as many illegals as possible to keep pouring into the country in order to procure a permanent underclass that will be forever beholden to them. They want voters who will keep them in power in perpetuity.

And this brings us to the crux of the subject of “walls” I wish to address. The tearing down of walls is one of the most relevant of all of the end-times signs.

Worldwide, those of the “progressive” mindset–the deep-state types, if you will–are determined to tear down, on a global scale, all walls that separate humanity. They want all borders erased. They want a return to Babel like times reported in Genesis chapter 11, so that, as Vladimir Lenin dreamed and John Lennon wrote and sang, all the world will be as one.

They are striving mightily to achieve this worldwide condition. The election of Donald Trump to the presidency dramatically disrupted their plans. They are in an absolute rage because of the disruption. It is destined to grow much more intense in every respect.

Satan wants a global platform from which to launch his man of sin–Antichrist. And, there is no doubt about it. According to Bible prophecy, this will be accomplished. The world will pay a horrendous price for welcoming such a tearing down of borders–the walls of separation between nations- that the Lord of Heaven commanded, following Nimrod’s one-world attempt on the plains of Shinar.

The effort is right in our faces, although much of America hasn’t been given much information about the attempt to set up this neo-Tower of Babel. The American and international news media have done their best to not alarm the American public with their plans to control every aspect of life in their planning for their new world order.

We haven’t heard much about the World Government Summit, except in places like Rapture Ready columns by writer/observers like my great friend and authority on global, end-times issues, Daymond Duck.

Here’s a brief summary of what has just taken place in regard to the World Government Summit.

Top globalists are coming out of the closet. Thousands of leading globalists, communists, Islamists and others from around the world converged on the Arabian Peninsula this month for the World Government Summit. Their goal: promote technocratic globalism and plot the future of what they often call their “New World Order.” Senior officials from the United Nations, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Union, Communist China, central banks, and even the Trump administration showed up to mingle with heads of state and advocates of Islamic Sharia law from across the region. Even Pope Francis delivered a message. As usual, despite top U.S. media outlets partnering with the summit, the establishment press in the United States largely failed to inform Americans about it. So-called Christendom, represented by Catholic Pope Francis, has signed on, joining with representatives of Islam and many other religionists, invoking the name of God to give His blessings. We can only surmise, with great trepidation, who this god is whose blessings they seek.

These are UN goals according to examination of the World Government Summit by the writer of the report: national and global wealth redistribution, government control over the economy, globalist indoctrination of all children, surrendering more sovereignty to global institutions, and much more. They are essentially a “master plan for humanity,” as UN bosses put it, to build a global technocratic government that would dominate every facet of human existence.

So, while tearing down the walls of borders that God deemed to be erected following Babel, these minions of the evil one are constructing walls even more dehumanizing, more enslaving than that wall that separated west from east Berlin. It will be the devil’s wall–the wall separating lost mankind from their Creator Redeemer–that will bring about the most terrible era of human history, according to Jesus (Matthew 24: 21).

But the Christian of this age–the Church Age–need not fear what is coming from this evil, supernatural, wall construction. The believer in Jesus Christ for salvation, according to Romans 10:9-10, will go to be with Christ when He calls (Revelation 4:1).

The Rapture will take God’s children out of harm’s way, where they will live gloriously in His magnificent presence for all of eternity.

Life Has Become a Parody of Itself

The world we currently live in is becoming increasingly illogical with each passing day. It seems that life has become a huge parody, with a host of actors deliberately performing exaggerations for comic effect. There is no laughing because this form of parody is no joke.

The hijinks of actor Jussie Smollett are a prime example. He manufactured this crazy caper that he was attacked by Trump-loving racists. Smollett alleged his assailants yelled, “This is MAGA country,” while attacking him in sub-zero temperatures at two in the morning on the streets of Chicago. Yeah, in Chicago, which happened in one of the most “progressive” places on earth.

The most ridiculous part is that he paid his phony attackers with a check. The second most insane moment was that he walked home with the noose they supposedly put around his neck, and kept it on until police arrived.

On Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley did a hilarious two-minute roast session of Smollett. Barkley didn’t have 20 comedy writers supplying him with material. Smollett made it too easy for him to say “America, do not write checks when you are about to do illegal activity.”

The ability of the Barkley video to go viral without any competition asks the question, “Where were all the late-night comedians? The hosts of The Tonight Show, The Late Show, and The Late Late Show should have been asking if the Smollett check was made out to “The Muggers.” They are too focused on attacking Trump to take advantage of an opportunity that was one of the reasons why these shows were created.

Another thing that has become a massive parody of itself is the Academy Awards. You don’t need to guess which movie has the greatest amount of acting to be chosen as best picture. The Oscars are political preaching disguised as an award show.

If you have a black guy who is gay, he will win out over another movie about heterosexual blacks. As a result of agenda-driven voting, Green Book won the top honor for 2019. Hollywood was able to pat itself on the back for show diversity, and then five white guys got up and accepted the award for Green Book.

Spike Lee is the biggest racist on planet Earth. He earned that title from years of griping about the constant oppression he received from this “white-dominated nation.” Lee’s film, BlacKkKlansman, was given an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. A film about a black guy who outsmarts the KKK was sure to win some award.

The lucky director was not happy with his single honor. As far as I know, he was the first Academy Award loser ever to throw a public tantrum right there in the auditorium. After Best Picture was predictably awarded to Green Book instead of Lee’s film, BlacKkKlansman, Lee had a fit. Deadline noted that a “furious” Lee left his seat and stalked back toward the rear of the theater. Then he feigned outrage by pacing in the aisle and headed for the back of the theater again. When he got back to his seat, he pointedly turned his back to the stage as Green Book producer-director Peter Farrelly gave an acceptance speech.

Lee is such a disgusting clown of bigotry that a normal person would not want to have him around them. Because no one wants to be labeled a racist, they tolerate Lee’s movies that make a mockery of racial harmony.

Life has become such a parody of common sense that the makers of actual parody are frequently mistaken for honest reporting. The supposed regulator of fake news, Snopes, embarrassed itself when the company dedicated precious resources to literally fact-checking the deliberately unapologetic satirical fake news Christian site, The Babylon Bee.

The Babylon Bee took aim at the Smollett fiasco with an article headlined, “Jussie Smollett Offered Job at CNN after Fabricating News Story out of Thin Air.” From The Babylon Bee:

“While Empire actor Jussie Smollett has been having a tough week so far, there appears to be a silver lining: cable news channel CNN has offered Smollett a job as an investigative reporter and on-air anchor after witnessing his skills at fabricating a story entirely out of thin air,” the article cheekily said. “CNN producers were reportedly impressed throughout the ongoing saga of Smollett’s apparent hoax attack on himself. They realized early on the facts didn’t add up but were fascinated with how well the actor kept the narrative going. An HR rep quickly reached out to Smollett to see if he’d be interested in taking on a position at the news organization after news broke that the entire thing was probably fabricated.”

The site’s footer gives away The Babylon Bee’s nature by describing it as “Your Trusted Source for Christian News Satire.” Snopes missed the satirical angle of the article because it’s run by people with a deep-seated liberal nature. The leftist cause takes priority in all matters of life.

The day will soon come when there is no room for parody. After the rapture, the world will suddenly wake up to a nightmare of endless calamity. For those of us who have faith in Christ, we have the promise of being rescued just ahead of that dark hour.

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3).

Your Only Way Out

Critics of the pre-Trib Rapture continue to send email. Every week I get a number of messages telling me we are teaching error. Well…some accuse of much more damage done than simply teaching error. We are sometimes charged with leading people to accept the lie of 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. This, of course, is the great delusion Antichrist will foist upon mankind when the Tribulation is in effect.

By teaching that Rapture will occur before the seven years of Tribulation begins, we are, these in opposition to the pre-Trib Rapture accuse, likely causing people to not recognize Antichrist when he one day soon comes on the scene. These who are so duped, the critics say, might well take the “666” mark of the beast of Revelation 13:16-18 because they will be thinking the Rapture must occur first and not realize that they must endure all or at least part of the Tribulation era.

If they take the mark, they will be doomed forever, according to Revelation chapter 14.

I must say that I have to believe that anyone who views the Rapture as mid-Trib or post-Trib cannot believe in eternal security of the believer. They cannot believe in “once saved, always saved.”

Those who enter the seven years of Tribulation will have to make the choice of whether to take Antichrist’s mark of worship. If they take the mark in order to receive sustenance so as to not starve, or to avoid beheading, they are, God’s Word says, lost forever, with no chance for redemption. So, they will have lost their salvation.

In such case, the Age of Grace–in which one can be saved for all eternity–can’t be a dispensational fact. There is no separation of the Church Age from the Tribulation era within this view.

This is a double-jeopardy belief system. There is no comfort to be found within it. And yet, God’s Word says the following:

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-18)

Accompanying the charge that we are leading people to not recognize Antichrist, thus endangering them of taking the mark of the beast, is the accusation that we are practicing the false teaching of escapism.

This is the accusation, often charged in anger,  that we are telling Christians they can escape the coming time of God’s judgment and wrath. These who charge such most often teach that Christians must go through the time of Tribulation to prove their worthiness to inherit the eternal kingdom. They don’t explain why millions of believers who have lived and died since the Church was born won’t have to do the same.

I remember well the words of Thru the Bible Radio teacher and famous pastor of the Church of the Open Door, Dr. J. Vernon McGee . He once said that people accused him of being an escapist theologian–of teaching falsely the escaping from that horrendous time of God’s judgment and wrath. Ol’ Dr. McGee said that he wholeheartedly agreed. He was a believer in the escapist theology. He said something like: “If the building is on fire and I’m about to be burned up, I will go out the door, the window, up the chimney–I’ll go through any opening to escape the horror of that threat.”

And the Tribulation will certainly be seven years of unspeakable horror. It will make the Holocaust of Hitler’s day look like a Sunday school picnic, McGee went on to say.

Jesus said of that time: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matthew 24:21).

So, I, like Dr. McGee, will gladly take that open door into Heaven that the Lord will provide when this dispensation, the Church Age or Age of Grace ends and that time of horror, the Tribulation, begins. Short of death, it is my only way out of the most terrible time of all human history, according to the lord Jesus’ own words.

It is also your only way, other than death, to get out of the horrors of that time–a time that the signs proliferating all around this generation tells the observer of God’s prophetic Word must surely be near.

This is not a forewarning of gloom and doom for the believer in Jesus Christ for salvation. The glory that awaits the believer who is alive at this exciting yet troubling hour in human history is stupendous–spectacular beyond our wildest imagination!

Don’t fear things to come. Just believe and take comfort. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved (Acts 16:31)!

Even beyond that, whether through death or the Rapture before this era of horror begins, you and I will instantaneously be in the presence of our Lord and Savior. We will inherit the entirety of Heaven’s unfathomable splendor!
