The Cancel-Culture News Media

Most news organizations now have aligned reports with the exclusive task of finding negative information on targeted public figures. It seems like every story published today is the result of some form of vindictiveness. Members of this Cancel-Culture news media now measure themselves on how much damage they can inflict on their enemy, and it doesn’t matter how silly they make themselves appear in attaining this goal. The following article from financial network CNBC is a prime example:

“President Donald Trump’s United Nations speech was a snooze — at least for Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. The 81-year-old Ross took a nap — a very long nap — as his boss addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday. Television footage of Ross showed the wealthy businessman sleeping soundly as Trump talked about a possible trade deal with China — which is part of the Commerce chief’s portfolio — and the U.S. stance on Iran.”

The story was reported as a top news item. In some venues, it was given more coverage than President Trump’s speech. When it was reported to Ross about his sleepiness at the U.N., he said, “This is fake news.” I agree with the fake label because a real major news outlet would not cover such a juvenile topic.

The Cancel Culture has gone after Jordan Peterson. He is a liberal Canadian professor who dares to challenge political correctness. A film company has produced a new documentary about him called The Rise of Jordan Peterson.

Did Peterson have any creative input on the film? None. It was always understood that it was independent, and he was very respectful of this and the creative process.

It is a given that many cinemas that have been asked to screen the documentary are not going to allow the movie to run. Some have told the makers outright that they thought the film was interesting and fair, but that they couldn’t in good conscience contribute to the “cult of personality around Peterson” in any way. Even though Peterson agrees with 90% of what these fellow liberals promote, the standard is now 100% among the left.

Comedian Dave Chappelle is another person who should never be confused as having a conservative background; however, despite admitting he voted for Hillary Clinton, he bristles at the lockstep politics that nearly all leftist comedians follow. When he released his Sticks and Stones special for Netflix. The website Rotten Apples gave it a rating of 0% by selecting five radical leftists to review his performance. After a firestorm of negative news coverage in the alternative press, Rotten Apples relented by allowing the public to review the comedy, and it received a 99% positive rating.

I was not surprised that NBC’s Saturday Night Live had fired new cast member Shane Gillis in response to racist and homophobic comments he posted on a podcast within the past year. Since SNL cares more about the leftist agenda than comedy, I seriously have to wonder if the following statement was just a pack of lies to use Gillis as a scapegoat:

“After talking with Shane Gillis, we have decided that he will not be joining SNL,” a spokesperson for the late-night show said in a statement Monday. “We want SNL to have a variety of voices and points of view within the show, and we hired Shane on the strength of his talent as a comedian and his impressive audition for SNL. We were not aware of his prior remarks that have surfaced over the past few days. The language he used is offensive, hurtful and unacceptable. We are sorry that we did not see these clips earlier, and that our vetting process was not up to our standard.”

The Cancel Culture often gives a free pass to leftists that violate its rules. You may remember that Virginia governor Ralph Northam apologized for either being the guy in blackface or a KKK outfit in a university yearbook photo. Several months after the news broke, he is still on the job.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was caught in a similar scandal. The first photo that surfaced, showing Trudeau in 2001 wearing brownface as part of an Aladdin costume, would have been enough to turn some voters off from him forever. But, within hours, a second photo was published that showed him wearing blackface to sing the Jamaican folk song “Day-O,” followed by a third video of him sticking his tongue out wearing dark makeup.

What was initially assumed to be a deeply stupid and offensive costume at one theme party now looks like it was just one instance of a deeply troubling habit. Trudeau admitted he “made a mistake” in dawning the offensive makeup. Since he is the head of the Liberal Party, I doubt he will ever be forced to step down from office.

IKEA, the Swedish furniture company, became the target of the Cancel Culture after adding “Jerk Chicken” to their cafe menu in some U.K. locations. Jerk chicken is a Caribbean dish in which the meat has been dry-rubbed or marinated with a specific set of ingredients. IKEA’s jerk chicken was served with a side of white rice and peas, which caught the attention of some on social media, who castigated the furniture giant because traditional “rice and peas” doesn’t actually feature green peas, but kidney beans or gungo peas.

The firm pulled the item and apologized for its jerk chicken cultural appropriation. A few years ago, the reply would have been, “Are you crazy?” or “This is how we make jerk chicken.” The ability of culture police to regulate the most trivial event in society shows how close we are to a totalitarian state. When the Antichrist comes to power, he may win praise by arguing that the liberals have gone too far.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:4).

Gathering Evidence Against God

It doesn’t surprise, nor should it, that every news cycle brings into greater focus where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline. Anti-God forces are in a never-ending building project, constructing a world laid out by their master architect–and their father, the devil.

Satan’s blueprint for moving the bulk of humanity into an earth of his own grand design is on track. The march back to Babel as in the days of Nimrod and the tower meant to reach symbolically into Heaven (Genesis 11) is observably being engineered at an accelerating pace.

We have looked many times at the madness being fomented by these forces that are directed by wickedness in high places. The activity has not abated.

It seems to me that, lately, that evil has been concentrated in laser fashion on the young–in some cases, the very young. It’s as if the chief power and principality in those high places has determined that this current crop of youth must be inculcated to best carry out his master blueprint.

I offer as primary evidence just a few examples. These involve issues and events of recent days and illustrate Satan’s humanistic minions’ attempts to build a case against the God of Heaven.

The first example is the attempt to bring the youngest children under the tutelage of transvestites. Transvestites, of course, are almost exclusively men who have fetishes for dressing in women’s clothing. They, in the past, were considered mentally ill. They were kept away from children. A high percentage of these have been involved in pedophilia. Now, these men “in drag,” as the term has it, are invited into libraries to “teach” youngsters about the joys and adventures of thinking and acting apart from what was formerly considered normal.

As has been reported by my friend Daymond Duck and others, through articles posted by Rapture Ready, these transvestites have been invited by churches to act as goodwill ambassadors in greeting people who enter for services.  Anyone who dares to criticize these formerly considered aberrant individuals are marked for ridicule as hatemongers. Some jurisdictions even prosecute those who publicly criticize such men.

God creating men as men and women as women is unacceptable in these jurisdictions. The powers that be–those ruled by the grand master architect of the coming world order—are dead set on tearing down truth set in God’s order of things. They are obviously concentrating on this process at the most basic foundation of mankind. They are attacking the very young, those who represent the future of planet Earth.

The human minions, whether knowingly or unwittingly, are working within the luciferian scheme to do away with any influence by the God who created called man.

A second example blatantly in our faces is the drive by these same minions in the same high places of wickedness to indoctrinate children with the “climate change” religion. Make no mistake: It is a religious zealotry and fervor the devil is using to ramp up rage against the Almighty.

Children at the most elementary levels are being taught that man, not God, controls the environment. They don’t yet use the term “Mother Earth worship,” but they do intend to make children understand that it is Mother Earth, not Father God, that is the source of their future security and happiness. The only time God is mentioned by the climate-change/global warming minions is to accuse the Lord with the term “act of God.” This, they readily use when there is a weather, volcanic, or earthquake tragedy anywhere in the world.

A week or so ago there was this, as we consider this case the minions are building against the God of Heaven.

Children who attend New York City public schools will be allowed to cut classes on Friday to join Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg for a protest at the United Nations. 

“@NYCschools will excuse absences of students participating in the #ClimateStrike on Friday 9/20. Students will need parental consent. Younger students can only leave school with a parent,” the school district tweeted along with a tweet from Mayor Bill de Blasio saying the students would be allowed to take part in the protest. (“NYC Schools Allowing Students to Skip Class to Join Greta Thunberg for U.N.,” Daily Plug, September 20, 2019)

The minions carrying out this inculcation under the master architect’s direction are choosing the youngest among us to woo the children in Pied-piper fashion. A sixteen-year old girl from Sweden has been chosen for that role. The report further explains:

[Greta] Thunberg started Fridays for Future school walkouts in her hometown of Stockholm a year ago, a movement that has spread around the world and, according to the Fridays for Future website, 2,400 events will be taking place around the world from September 20 through September 27:

The week’s crescendo of events will bracket the UN Climate Action Summit taking place in New York on September 23rd. We’ll be sending global leaders the message that our #house is on fire and that we’re calling on them to do what the science clearly tells us must be done.

All eyes are on the United States which already has 145 cities signed up, with participation that is expected to be tenfold when compared with  the first two global strikes in March and May of this year.

New York is expecting a huge turnout, as is Montreal (Canada) which saw 150,000 take to the streets to demand climate action in the largest strike so far without the presence of Greta Thunberg. (Ibid)

If space permitted, we could look in considerable depth at the madness in California to back up the premise of this commentary. I’m referring to the legislature blaming “religious groups” who hold to biblical understandings of sex and gender as responsible for “disproportionately high rates” of suicide among homosexuals and transgenders.

In Sacramento, the state assembly declared through concurrent Resolution 99 that homosexuality and transgenderism are “part of natural variations that occur in sexual orientation and gender identity” and condemns counseling services that help people resolve unwanted gender confusion or same-sex attraction.

Suffice it to say that the master architect continues to present his lying narrative through satanically specious evidence that God has no business in the business of mankind. But we are thankful Bible prophecy assures that the same God who is presently so reviled by the wicked minions will one day forever put an end to the madness.

The Abqaiq Attack is a Game Changer

The September 14th attack on a key Saudi oil facility has exposed a massive vulnerability of the kingdom to drone strikes and underscores how traditional air defenses can be breached by new low-cost technology.

The scale of the attack was stunning. The hit on Aramco’s Abqaiq processing plant and the Khurais oil field knocked 5.7 million barrels per day (bpd) off production, over half of the OPEC kingpin’s output.

It had been long believed that the military could handle an attack on its oil facilities. Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s biggest buyers of weapons and spent an estimated $65 billion on arms last year, mostly from the United States, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

These cheap drones with improvised explosives can travel huge distances. In May, there was a drone strike on a major pipeline in the oil-rich Eastern Province to the Red Sea, forcing it to be shut down temporarily. In June, the Huthis launched at least 20 missiles and drone attacks into Saudi Arabia, Iran’s regional foe, some resulting in casualties and damage. Also, in June, two oil tankers were damaged by some type of explosive set by Iranian forces.

Footage distributed by the Huthis showed models of at least 15 unmanned drones and various sizes of missiles of different ranges. The newest of these weapons were long-range cruise missiles, dubbed “Al-Quds,” and explosives-laden “Sammad 3” drones that can hit targets as far as 1,500 kilometers (930 miles) away, according to the Huthis.

Saudi Arabia says the attack will only delay production for a few weeks. It will probably seek to maintain export levels as much as possible by supplying customers from stockpiles. It holds crude in storage tanks in the kingdom, as well as at sites in Egypt, Japan and the Netherlands. But it has run its crude hoard down since the beginning of 2016, and it is now back at levels not seen since 2008, according to data from the Joint Organizations Data Initiative. That means the kingdom has gone from 350 million barrels to a current stock of 190 million barrels.

President Vladimir Putin has enjoyed himself at the expense of US military suppliers. He said while meeting with the presidents of Iran and Turkey in Ankara that the “smart decision” for the Saudis would be to purchase Russia’s most advanced anti-air defense system, the S-400 Triumph.

“Saudi Arabia needs to make a smart decision, as Iran did by buying our S-300, and as Mr. Erdogan did by deciding to buy the most advanced S-400 Triumph air defense systems from Russia,” Putin told reporters in Ankara. “These kinds of systems are capable of defending any kind of infrastructure in Saudi Arabia from any kind of attack.”

President Donald Trump has declared that, once it has been verified that Iran was indeed responsible for last weekend’s attack on major Saudi Arabian oil facilities, the U.S. is “locked and loaded.” To do what, exactly, is unclear.

It is very unlikely that Trump will bomb Iranian oil facilities. The Saudi Arabia attack alone added around $500 million to the daily value of oil production. Iran has made a multifold profit on its bold move. If we bomb anything in Iran, the price of oil is going to soar.

Iran is not going to stop with its monkey business. It’s a nation run by terrorists that would love to set the whole Persian Gulf on fire. If Iran had secretly developed a nuclear weapon that they used to vaporize the Abqaiq facility, I think our leaders would be battled over what to do.

Thanks to fracking, the U.S. is no longer dependent on Middle East oil. Europe and China, on the other hand, are heavily addicted to oil produced by Arab nations. If Iran or its Yemen rebel allies were able to disrupt production over a long period of time, various nations will deploy their military forces to maintain order.

The Bible does not mention oil as a reason for why the Last Day wars will be fought in the Middle East. For decades, many prophecy scholars have predicted that the control of black gold will be the reason why massive arms will soon march toward this region. The upward trend in these drone attacks and their devastating impact is just one more indication of how close we are to the tribulation hour.

“For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled” (Luke 21:22).

Israel-Jordanian End-times Ties

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reelection bid Tuesday September 17 has definite prophetic overtones, I think. The election is still not confirmed one way or the other as of this writing. But we will offer the following thoughts nonetheless.

Like in the case of Donald J. Trump’s political turmoil in the US, Netanyahu’s whirlpool of opposition that seeks to destroy him is a struggle against wicked powers and principalities to be sure. The ongoing storm involving both leaders continues to focus the attention of the prophetic observer upon end-times stage setting.

The Israeli prime minister, prior to Tuesday’s election, questioned just who the Israeli people wanted to trust to negotiate with in trying to work out a peace deal. Did they prefer to work with Trump and his effort at peace, or with those of Netanyahu’s opposition?

The prime minister reminded how he, Netanyahu, had helped convince President Trump to declare Jerusalem Israel’s capital. He had, he also reminded, convinced Mr. Trump to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Additionally, he announced that, if reelected and upon forming an effective coalition government, he would annex the Jordanian Valley and the northern reaches of the Dead Sea for Israel–a thing that would help to consolidate stronger defensive buffer zones from attacks from the Jewish state’s surrounding enemies.

Netanyahu further sought to provide proof of his close working relationship–even friendship—with the American president. He said that he told the US administration of his plans to annex the Jordan valley well before making the announcement publicly. He said “someone in the White House” had said off the record that “Netanyahu’s plan does not impinge on Trump’s.”

The prime minister said further, “That’s saying a lot.” He went on to express the vast differences in dealing with the current US president as opposed to the previous.

“For over eight years,” Netanyahu said, “I blocked the attempt to push us into the ’67 borders, to uproot settlements. Then, in the last three years, I’m changing the course of Jewish history by getting recognition for settlement, for the borders.”

He declared that he had “persuaded Trump to recognize Jerusalem as our capital, move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, recognize our sovereignty in the Golan, get out of the horrible Iran deal—that Gantz and Lapid [political opponents] supported—and now I’m doing the same thing [not only] vis a vis the Jordan Valley, but also all the settlements inside and outside the blocs. This is crucial.”

Immediately upon his declaration of his intention to annex certain swaths of the Jordanian Valley, the Palestinian leadership complained that this action will assure hostilities for the next hundred years. Leaders of both Russia and of Turkey joined in the rant against Netanyahu’s planned action.

For many years I and others who observe political movement within the Middle East–Israel in particular–have been curious about the entity called Jordan. Most who study the end-times alignment of nations look with interest at the following prophecy: “He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon” (Daniel 11:41).

The “he” in this prophecy is reference to the Antichrist, who will run rampant over the nations of the Middle East at the height of his power. It is fascinating to consider that present-day Jordan is carved from the territory called Moab in the prophecy. The children of Ammon, of course, are, in modern terms, the people of Jordan.

There are two nations among Israel’s antagonists not mentioned in the Gog-Magog coalition that will storm southward to destroy Israel and take “great spoil.” These countries are Egypt and Jordan.

These are the only Arab-Muslim nations in the region who have officially made peace with the much-hated Israel. While it is not yet clear what Netanyahu’s intention to annex these buffer lands mean in the overall scheme of stage-setting for fulfilled prophecy, we must consider developments with piqued focus.

A number of prophetic passages in the Bible foretell that both Egypt and Jordan (Moab and the children of Ammon) will fare well during Christ’s millennial reign. Of course, the people who come out of these regions to inherit that thousand years of a magnificently restored planet earth will be a remnant. These will be believers in Christ for salvation who survive the terrible time of Antichrist rule and of the judgments of the Tribulation era.

However, the prophecy above and others seem to indicate that people, particularly in the area of present-day Jordan, will avoid Antichrist’s devastation for the most part. Jesus said to each who call Him Lord: “What I say unto one, I say to all, watch” (Mark 13: 37).

As our new book Discerners: Analyzing Converging Prophetic Signs For the End Of Days lays out for believers in these closing days of the age, it is time to seek understanding of the strange things going on all around us. The Holy Spirit will make the madness of it all discernible, if we but seek to know about the signs of the times.
