The Liberal Media Refuses to Reform

There has never been a worse point in American history for what passes today as the mainstream media. Hardly a week goes by without me learning about some news personality that has been taken to the woodshed over some stupid statement or action.

Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from ABC’s The View for two weeks for saying the Holocaust was not about race. CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker was forced to resign from his position because of the revelation of an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. Zucker’s stunning announcement came less than two months after he fired prime time anchor Chris Cuomo for improperly advising his brother, then-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, about how to address sexual misconduct allegations.

I think it’s remarkable that Whoopi Goldberg’s original career field was being a comedian. Because I constantly keep track of all forms of media, I’ve known of her for over 30 years. I don’t ever recall her saying something that was funny. Goldberg has always been this vile, nasty person with nothing positive to say. When The View was created, she showed up and probably said, ‘Hi, I’m the token black woman, so you have to give me a job.’

I can’t believe that Goldberg still has a job with ABC. Arguing that the Holocaust was not about race has for decades been one of the quickest ways to get yourself fired. A Harvard professor once argued that it is literally impossible for blacks to be racist to a white person and “Racism against white people doesn’t exist.” This rule must also apply to Jews. Goldberg went on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert and tried to argue that her skin color should allow her to be ignorant of the Holocaust.

Jeff Zucker should have been fired at least 10 years ago. When he arrived at CNN, the network was high in the ratings for news. It now trails obscure cable channels like the Food Network. Despite Zucker’s mismanagement of CNN, he has been given one promotion after another. I remember in the mid 90’s Saturday Night Live had a slight dip in its rating, and management came in and fired people like Adam Sandler and Chris Farley. At one point, Larry King had 7 million viewers. Right now, I don’t think any CNN show has more than a million viewers.

Brian Stelter and Don Lemon are two of the dumbest people who have ever worked in news. Lemon must have been hired when his job application said, not only am I black, but I’m also a homosexual. Anderson Cooper was possibly hired because he was gay and his mother was Gloria Vanderbilt. I didn’t see anything special about Chris Cuomo, but hey, his dad was once governor of New York state. When you hand out jobs in news and politics based solely on a dynasty, it’s no wonder that both the Cuomo brothers crashed and burned.

I can’t think of any leftist media personality that I could say I disagree with their politics but admire their intelligence or tenacity. My general observation of news people is that they are either crazy or stupid. Sometimes they are so extreme in these categories that I find them entertaining. Keith Olbermann has turned into such a lunatic, I sometimes listen to his YouTube videos for a laugh.

The last leftist I had any respect for was probably Christopher Hitchens. He was a radical atheist, but he would go after anyone or any group that he saw as being in error. He was a huge critic of Hillary Clinton, and he did the best job I’ve ever heard someone do with pointing out the silliness of the Muslim faith.

I wonder where we will end up with the news turning into garbage. Many people on the right think that CNN will finally see the error of its ways and reform. They point to declining ratings as motivation. I don’t see that happening. The major networks have zero concern about ratings. Zucker had years of plunging ratings, and he would get one huge bonus after another.

The fixation is on power. Controlling the minds of people is the main focus. CNN has been replaced by a hundred other news formats, so the liberal media can use them to guide public opinion.

It was recently discovered that podcaster Joe Rogan has 11 million viewers, which is three times greater than most cable news shows. The left has switched from complaining about Fox News to griping about Rogan’s views on COVID-19.

I think Satan likes to have a low IQ Liberal Media. The press has traditionally been the main source that keeps the public informed of world events. If you have dumb reporters, you will have a clueless audience.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6).

The Disappearing

An exciting new book is scheduled for release shortly. I can brag just a bit about it because my cowriter has done such a phenomenal job infusing the work with insightful presentation.

Pete Garcia, whom many in the Rapture Ready family know as a gifted writer with Holy Spirit-directed analyses of the times, is my coauthor. We are convinced that the monumental event we believers long for, because of the issues and events that are in our faces daily, must be drawing very near indeed.

The Disappearing: Future Events That Will Rock the World brings to light things to come in a way I’m very pleased about. Again, this is in large part because of Pete’s generously offered talents and efforts. It is a volume that the Lord has commissioned us to present now, because the Rapture should be foremost on our minds and hearts in these closing days of this Church Age.

Each hour brings troubling headlines from the many news sources now available. Every report seems more intrusive upon our daily lives than the previous, and all accounts appear to be setting the end-time stage for the soon fulfillment of God’s prophetic Word.

The world is turned upside down by issues and events that are contrary to life as we’ve known it. All rational thought has turned to wickedness—toward the dark side. Our times seem like the “days of Noah,” just as Jesus Christ described how things will be at the moment He is next revealed. That moment—the Rapture—will be when the greatest event since Christ’s resurrection occurred!

The book presents the wind-up of human history, chronicling what set in motion and is driving this Heaven-directed, end-times drama. It’s the conclusion of the greatest story ever told. What we’re witnessing today is about to bring down the curtain of prophecy’s final act.

And when you see all these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your head, for your redemption is drawing near. (Luke 21:28)

The dynamic ebb and flow of the times, with the production of our book being slightly delayed due to the pandemic, have combined to bring the work to the publishing surface at a propitious moment. The horizon is on fire with powerful indicators of where this generation stands on God’s prophetic timeline.

This book is somewhat of a hybrid. By this, I mean it is nonfiction, but includes a sprinkling of fictional accounts that highlight and, we believe, significantly enhance the presentation.

Our foreword is written by our great friend Jan Markell, the nationally renowned radio host and president of Olive Tree Ministries. She writes in part:

All I know for sure is that believers must have hope, and with the world crumbling all around us, we are left with only the predicted “blessed hope.” This world has nothing to offer the Bible-believing Christian. Our focus must be eternity, and that is likely soon for many reading this book—not because readers will face an untimely demise, but rather because Christ’s return is at the door.

The book is set for release in March or April. I will give more of an update on its release as the time draws closer.

Pete and I are scheduled to visit the SkyWatch TV studios in early February to tape programs on The DisappearingWe will, of course, provide you with links to those programs as soon as available.

Meantime, I understand that the book is already listed on Amazon and at SkyWatch TV and Defender Publishing, so you are invited to check it out. It is not yet available to order, but should be as soon as our publisher, Defender Publishing, has completed the publishing process.

It is our most heartfelt wish that our effort will edify the believer while together we carry out Christ’s Great Commission to a lost and dying world. There is no more noble or God-ordained mission to be undertaken.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. (Revelation 22:20–21)

Why Fed Coin Is So Dangerous

Over the past couple of years, I’ve read several articles about the government’s research into the usage of a digital currency that is commonly referred to as a Fed coin. It turns out the Fed has been studying the possibility of issuing a cashless currency, and it issued a report on the pros and cons of implementing such a system.

The Federal Reserve, on releasing its long-awaited exploration of a digital dollar, took no position on the issuance of a central bank digital currency. The Fed’s strange ambiguity regarding a Fed coin is a clear indication that they are definitely working on such a system.

Billed as “the first step in a public discussion between the Federal Reserve and stakeholders about central bank digital currencies,” the 40-page paper shies away from any conclusions about a central bank digital currency or CBDC. The report was originally expected in the summer of 2021 but had been delayed.

“The introduction of a CBDC would represent a highly significant innovation in American money,” the report says. “Accordingly, broad consultation with the general public and key stakeholders is essential. This paper is the first step in such a conversation.”

One primary difference between the Fed’s dollar and other digital transactions is that current digital money is a liability of commercial banks, whereas the CBDC would be a Fed liability. Among other things, that would mean the Fed wouldn’t pay interest on money stored with it, though because it is riskless, some depositors may prefer to keep their money with the central bank.

However, the report also states that it “is not intended to advance a specific policy outcome and takes no position on the ultimate desirability of” the digital dollar.

The motivation for a central bank digital currency has been the success of cryptocurrencies. Some unknown person started bitcoin nearly ten years ago, and it was recently around $2 trillion in value. Several nations had talked about creating their only digital currency. A couple of years ago, Venezuela said it was contemplating whether it should create its own digital currency. Because Venezuela was in dire financial straits at the time, it seemed appealing to create its own cryptocurrency. Since it would quickly become worthless by the minting of unlimited coins, the idea of Venezuela cryptocurrency quickly faded from the headlines.

A government’s appeal in creating a digital currency is the ability to control how it’s used by citizens. When the US government issued $3 trillion of stimulus money during the COVID-19 pandemic, the vast majority of the money was not spent. One report said that $2 trillion is still in people’s savings accounts.

If the Fed could issue a digital currency, and say, if you don’t spend this money by the end of the year, it will disappear, people would be in a mad rush to spend the money. The Fed could control what people spent their fed coins on. At first, they would stop people from spending their money on unhealthy things like beer and cigarettes, but then they would block anything that “the powers that be” don’t like.

A Fed coin would give the government incredible power to combat crime. The late author Hunt S. Thompson once wrote a check for $2 million to his drug dealer and wrote Cocaine in the memo. A shocked teller at the bank must have taken a picture of the check. With a Fed coin, government agents would be able to track and control the transaction of anyone who was known to be trafficking in drugs.

A Fed coin would be incredibly dangerous in the hands of a despotic government. It could monitor the accounts of all its enemies; it could track the activity of all citizens. If you bought a cup of coffee for someone on the government’s naughty list, the feds could come to you with questions.

I don’t know if Fed coin is going to be the system that the Antichrist will use to control the world. When bitcoin came out, some people speculated that it was the mark of the beast, but now there are 17,000 of these cryptocurrencies. The 666 system could come out of any financial institution. Technology has advanced to the point where a lot of people are probably wondering why we already don’t have a mark-like system.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:16-18).

Valley of Derision

The Lord tells, through the prophet Joel, the dire recompense for the rebellious evil of opposing His righteousness:

Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. (Joel 9–14)

We are at this moment very near the beginning of that time, at the end of which everyone will be gathered into the Valley of Jehoshaphat–the killing field of Armageddon.

As Joel declares, we now see wickedness growing daily—even hourly. It is indeed an exponential growth of evil directed primarily at God’s prescribed order of things for planet earth.

Armies of the world, particularly those of nations primary to prophetic fulfillment, have already turned pruning hooks and ploughshares into swords and spears that are the incredibly powerful instruments of modern warfare. They have awakened the men of war and gathered them, as witnessed by Russia’s threatened invasion of Ukraine and China’s voracious glances at Taiwan. The world is, to any observer with a rational eye for developments, preparing to make war.

It is just a matter of time until the multitudes will gather to oppose God and storm toward His touchstone to humanity, Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. They will at first rage against one another, each wanting to make that satanic prize–Jerusalem and the Mount Moriah—their conquest. They will be filled with the madness that their father, the devil, has planted in their reprobate minds. They will then see the black skies above earth split apart and the glory of Heaven beaming through as the Lord of Lord and King of kings and His army of redeemed saints begin their descent.

Today we are in a valley of decision, of sorts. The decision is whether to be on the side of the heathens destined to oppose God and His righteousness, thus be in colleague with those who will face Christ the King in the Valley of Jehoshaphat or whether to be on God’s side by accepting His only way to redemption, thus to be on the side that opposes the wickedness we see proliferating in every direction we look.

Another valley I think we can see very plainly at this time is a valley of derision.

It is a place of profound struggle against the powers and principalities in high places of Ephesians 6: 12. Christians who determine to fight the evil that opposes God’s righteousness comprise the nucleus of this force. While many others who do not know Christ as their Lord also fight in this arena against wickedness, God’s people are the glue that holds fast the frontline resistance to the assaults by Lucifer’s minions, both demonic and human.

Paul the apostle says that it is the Restrainer who will hold back the assaults of evil and wickedness until He is taken out of the way. The Holy Spirit is that Restrainer, and He works primarily by indwelling all who know Christ for salvation. So it is the believers of this age who must continue the struggle, empowered by God the Holy Spirit.

And there is plenty of evidence to validate that God is restraining in these times so near His calling the Church out of this doomed world of rebelliousness.

We have witnessed time after time, for example, blockage of legislative efforts that would take America into dictatorship. The evil continues to advance, but is not allowed to completely infect the world with the sin-disease that will cause God’s judgment and wrath to finally fall upon the incorrigible rebels who oppose His righteousness.

The time will come when “earth dwellers” will have their way, mostly unimpeded by God’s governance. But this condition will not last long. Devastating things will begin to happen as God prepares for His Son, Jesus Christ, to return and put an end to all evil, wickedness, and rebellion.

The Lord has these anti-God, anti-Christ forces in derision at this very moment. His Holy Spirit is holding back Satan’s all-out assault until the Church is taken to be with Jesus in the Rapture.

Again, here is what the Lord says about what is going on now and into eternity.

Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. (Psalms 2:1–12)
