Bureau 06

The capture of Nazi fiend Adolf Eichmann by Israel’s Mossad is one of the great stories of the last century.

A mastermind of the Holocaust, Eichmann eventually escaped to Argentina. In 1960, Israeli agents dispatched by Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion caught the Nazi and brought him to Israel for justice. The electrifying trial was critical in bringing Nazi crimes to the attention of the world. Complete with film shot by Allied troops liberating the death camps.

The Israelis were methodical in handling Eichmann. His interrogation lasted a staggering nine months, almost every day. There is a famous photograph of Eichmann walking outside his cell. The slight figure is deep in thought. He doesn’t look very menacing.

Even though he was.

Retired Israeli Chief Inspector Mickey Goldman-Gilad, now 95, was tasked with heading Bureau 06, a group that would manage Eichmann’s interrogations.

In a supreme irony, Goldman-Gilad had been born in Poland, and was deported to Szebnie labor camp, then to Birkenau and then…to Auschwitz. He survived a death march in the waning days of the war, then managed to get to Israel, after spending time at a detention camp in Cyprus.

Now he would be interrogating the man responsible for so many deaths.

Goldman-Gilad’s parents and sister died in the camps, along with 40 members of his extended family.

Forty-three family members murdered! How does one cope? It also took him 17 years to find a brother he was certain had perished but had not.

Goldman-Gilad has given some insight into dealing with such a devil:

“He consistently presented himself as a cog in the Nazi machine and put all the blame on others, pleading that he was just following orders from above,” he recalls. “But we presented him with hundreds of documents with his signature on them that had been located in archives in Europe and the US. He had signed letters and directives that he would give to all of his emissaries in the countries that had been occupied by Germany, regarding the transport of Jews to extermination camps. In order to deflect any personal responsibility for these actions, Eichmann claimed that he’d been merely following orders. We were able to prove, however, that he was the one who gave the orders himself. I spoke with him in German. His testimony was recorded in German. Of course, we had everything translated into Hebrew before we submitted the statements to the court.”

Goldman-Gilad today believes that only God could take revenge against Eichmann for his grotesque crimes.

After Eichmann was hanged on May 31, 1962, Goldman-Gilad was among those that scattered his ashes at sea. As he did so, the young police captain said, out loud:

“So may perish all your enemies, Israel.”

Israeli Lives Matter

In the space of a few days, Americans have become fearful of not being seen as rabid supporters of the group “Black Lives Matters.”

Local governments, celebrities, media types, and religious leaders are falling all over themselves to pledge allegiance to the group that rejects “All Lives Matters” as a mantra to heal our country.

Exactly what is BLM? Caroline Glick opened a window to that in a Twitter post this week:

“Never forget that Black Lives Matter’s platform includes a chapter rejecting the Jewish people’s right to freedom and self-determination in our homeland and rejecting Jewish Americans’ right to support Israel. BLM is an anti-Jewish hate group.”

For years, Leftists have sought to enlist the support of blacks for the Palestinian cause, even going so far as to post anti-Semitic drawings of a black, “Palestinian” Jesus oppressed by the IDF.

Glick also wrote this week in Israel Hayom:

“When Barack Obama won the presidential race in 2008, many Americans believed his victory was proof the United States had overcome its racist past. Obama however, did not support this view. Throughout his tenure in office, Obama used the power of his position to resonate and legitimize positions on race that until then had been relegated to the leftist margins of American politics.

“Obama cultivated the view that far from being a post-racial society, America is inherently racist and that American racism is structural – that is, it was baked in and impossible to overcome. In so doing, Obama gave credence to the false claim at the heart of the riots: that black Americans are under continuous, existential threat from the state as a whole and from law enforcement bodies first and foremost. Calls by Hollywood celebrities and Obama administration alumni to defund the police take this view to its logical endpoint.

“Black Lives Matter, the radical group leading the demonstrations, is an anti-Semitic organization. BLM was formed in 2014 as a merger of activists from the anti-Semitic Nation of Islam, the anti-Semitic Black Panthers and Dream Catchers. In 2016, BLM published a platform that has since been removed from its website. The platform accused Israel of committing ‘genocide’ and referred to the Jewish state as an ‘apartheid’ state. The platform accused Israel and its supporters of pushing the US into wars in the Middle East. The platform also officially joined BLM with the anti-Semitic BDS campaign to boycott, divest and sanction Israel. BDS campaign leader Omar Barghouti acknowledged this week that the goal of the BDS campaign is to destroy Israel. BDS campaigns on US campuses are characterized by bigotry and discrimination directed against Jewish students.”

BLM, you see, has little do with justice for blacks. It has everything to do with destroying America and weakening Israel. Naturally, many Americans believe the group to be a benign, justice-oriented group. And yet if media, sports, and political superstars don’t bow the knee, careers are destroyed.

BLM, you see, is a creation of Marxist and Islamist groups bent on undermining civilization. No one knows where this will land, as we write, Seattle has been taken over by Antifa and politicians applaud. Insane.

I doubt you’ll be able to dissuade those in your life that affirm BLM that the group is radicalized and menacing. But you can know yourself and resolve not to bow to them.

That would be suicidal.
