Have We Crossed The Line? :: by Grant Phillips

The President of the United States has made it official. He is in full support of marriage between same sex couples. The Vice-President first presented his support which nudged the President to make his support known now, instead of later at the Democratic convention. Poor VP, his jaws have no hinges.

Several States now support same sex marriage, as do many governors and past governors. Most of the Democratic leadership and some even among the Republican leadership also openly support same sex marriage.

Nearly all Hollywood celebrities, producers, directors, etc. support same sex marriage. Many in the music field have made their support public. Even among religious organizations, same sex marriage is supported and promoted.

Now that the one voice who speaks for all Americans has made his support known publicly, have we crossed the line with God? I personally believe we crossed the proverbial line years ago, but if not, we certainly have now. In my opinion, we are way beyond the line, headed toward destruction. There is no turning back.

I know what you’re thinking. Does not God say?

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Yes, that is what He promises, and He also says the following:

“So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.” (Psalms 81:12)

“24Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:24-27)

Folks, it is my opinion that God has given us up to our own vile affections and there is nothing left to look forward to now, as a country, but judgment.

Yes it is true that every true Christian will soon be called up to meet the Lord in the air along with all those true Christians who have already physically died, but where does that leave everyone else? We call our “calling up to be with Jesus” the Rapture, but what follows, is a time of hell on earth unlike anytime in history, a time so terrible that if it isn’t shortened by Jesus Himself, and it will be, there would be no flesh left alive upon the earth. That time is just around the corner.

How a man can stand before the nation and publicly support something so vile and yet claim to be a Christian, is the epitome of narcissism and spiritual ignorance. If this isn’t “thumbing ones nose” at God, then tell me what is.

The Lord God tells us exactly where we have gone wrong as a nation. Listen to these words.

“20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!” (Isaiah 5:20-21)

This, my friends, is the attitude coming from the highest pinnacle of our government and from many of its rank and file citizenry. This pompous Christ rejecting attitude is not going unnoticed by God Almighty. We may think it is, but following will be the bitter pill we will be forced to swallow.

“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 5:24)

Oh I can hear it now, “but He’s talking to Israel, not us.” If anyone thinks for one miniscule of a second that we can get by with our rebellion against God, when the apple of His eye (Israel) could not, then you are in for a very rude awakening. It is commonly known as the time of Tribulation upon earth. It will last for seven years, and it will be arriving soon.

All throughout history God has never put up with homosexual activity. Every time it shows up, a nation falls, and we are going to fall. You can count on it. It is happening as we speak.

God has shown us even in nature that certain acts are a violation of His will. Notice this verse.

“Doth not even nature itself [emphasis mine] teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?” (1 Corinthians 11:14)

The Apostle Paul was speaking about long hair being a shame unto a man, but my point is this. If it were natural for everyone to have sex with anyone and everyone else, whether they be of the same or opposite sex, then why are there so many diseases that are passed around by doing so? If a husband and wife (male and female) have sex with each other and no one else, they will not get sexually transmitted diseases. Is not nature itself trying to tell us something? It most certainly is, but we are not listening. Sin has taken over the heart of man.

Let us not forget this verse.

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature[emphasis mine]:” (Romans 1:26)

Is it possible from the Word of God, for the judgment coming to at least be delayed? Yes, we see it over and over with Israel. They fell to sin. They were judged. They repented. They were restored. Then the cycle repeated itself.

Will judgment be at least delayed for this corrupt earth, and for our country? No, for two reasons, (1) we will not repent, and (2) because time has run out. God has already set in motion those things which must be for His soon, very soon, return. He will not delay His coming. When that last person is born again from above, Jesus Christ will come for His Church, and judgment will begin.

Those engaged in these depraved acts against God and even nature itself, do not want to repent and will not do so. They love their sins, and those very sins are piling up judgment upon one and all. Others who may not participate but yet openly support homosexuality are just as guilty. Yet there are many who neither participate nor openly support this degradation, but by their silence, their support is noted by God.

Have we crossed the line? It is my belief that we have crossed the line, and there is no turning back from God’s judgment, simply because we will not choose to repent.

My advice is, “be ready.” Warn your family and friends. They may not listen, but at least you warned them.

Train your children while you can upon the holy Word of God, the Bible, before you lose them altogether to the temptations of this world.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Guard their souls, for Satan is out to destroy them.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” (1 Peter 5:8)

I have no inside track to know when Jesus will return, and neither does anyone else. However, He has made it clear that He will provide signs, and that He has. He has made it clear that we should be constantly alert and be ready. Are you ready?

Rapture And Wrath Don’t Mix :: by Grant Phillips

I have written other articles covering this subject, showing by the Scriptures that the Rapture is a real event that will occur prior to the 70th Week of Daniel, commonly known as the Tribulation period. Others have written articles on this subject, also showing with Scripture, the reality of the Rapture prior to God’s wrath coming down on this earth during the Tribulation.

However, some people continue to insist that there is no Rapture of Christ’s Church, and that’s fine. I certainly fault no one for their own opinion. However, that is all it is … an opinion, and I don’t say that sarcastically. I’m saying that the more this subject is studied, the more evident it is that the Rapture is a reality. From my understanding of Scripture, it just can’t be any other way.

These same people are like doubting Thomas who would not believe anything unless he could see it and touch it. If the Bible doesn’t specifically say the exact words they want to hear, then it just ain’t true. With all due respect, if they are part of the Church, they have a wonderful surprise awaiting them that may not be too far off. It’s called the Rapture.

I have covered various aspects of the Rapture. So this time I just want to briefly elaborate about God’s wrath and His Church.

It is very clear when reading the book of Revelation, that during the Tribulation, (Daniel’s Seventieth Week), the wrath of God is unleashed upon this earth. The humble Lamb who paid our sins on a Roman cross, will exact Godly justice upon a world that has snubbed His ultimate sacrifice and spit in His face.

“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” (Revelation 6:15-17)

The wrath of God is no laughing matter for those who don’t believe. It will be a time on earth unparalleled to anything in the past. Nothing in the past of earth’s existence even touches it, not even the flood of Noah’s day.

Before God destroyed the Egyptian army in the Red Sea, He first led the children of Israel to safety. Before God destroyed Jericho, he protected Rahab and her family. Before God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (and the surrounding cities), He first removed Lot and his family from harm’s way. Before God destroyed the world of Noah’s day by a flood, He first removed Noah and his family from danger by keeping them safe in the Ark. He will also remove His Church from His wrath to come, the Tribulation, as He has promised.

“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” (Romans 5:9)

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)

“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:28)

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” (Revelation 3:10)

When God pours out his wrath on His enemies, He always places His own people out of harm’s way. He has never yet failed to protect His own from His own wrath.

Even in Paradise, He protected His own who were in Abraham’s bosom at that time, from those who were not His own, by placing a great gulf between them that could not be crossed.

God will not unleash His fury against the very people who call out to Him for mercy, by the very blood of His only begotten Son. It is not going to happen. If that were true, one could only say of God that, “He speaks with forked tongue.” He isn’t going to give us mercy in one hand and then beat the stuffing out of us with the other.

As far as I’m concerned with this subject we call the Rapture, I’ll see you on the way up to be with Jesus, before the Tribulation starts.

Before closing, I do want to emphasize the absolute urgency of any who do not know Jesus as Savior, to come to Him now. You may laugh all this off as nonsense, and ridicule everything you’ve heard, but God will not be mocked.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)

To ignore Him is to suffer the same fate that the Antichrist and Satan will suffer.

“1And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 2The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 3And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

This same judgment that the unrighteous of the Tribulation will suffer comes to all who refuse Jesus as Savior. Notice carefully that this judgment involves suffering that will last forever and ever. Some people believe that if there is a hell, it will only last a short while, and then they will cease to exist. That is not what the verses above say. Notice carefully verse three. Those who deny Jesus Christ will go to hell and suffer forever and ever.
