Many people think that the devil is some fictional character. They laugh about him, and at people who believe that he exists.

Most of you know that I grew up in a secular Jewish home. When I was born again in 1983, my mother and I had many discussions about the Bible. She would look at me as if I had lost my mind. The thing that bothered her more than my belief in Jesus as Messiah, was my belief that the devil was real.

She would say to me “Geri, how can you believe in this fictional character?” I would tell her that Jesus talked about the evil one and about hell; so I knew they were both real. I told her that Jesus only spoke truth. She would just shake her head and walk away.

Scriptures about Satan

1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 John 3:8 – He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Corinthians 11:14 – And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

John 8:44 – Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

2 Corinthians 11:3 – But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Revelation 12:9 – And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

Romans 16:20 – And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

James 4:7 – Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Ephesians 4:27 – Neither give place to the devil.

2 Corinthians 4:4 – In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Revelation 12:9-12 – And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Ephesians 6:11 – Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Matthew 16:23 – But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

The Evil we see happening on this earth:

In the past couple of weeks, we have witnessed Evil that boggles most people’s minds. We blame this one or that one – this group or that group. But the reality of it is that ALL evil is inspired by the devil himself. Scripture says so:

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

When Lucifer was cast from heaven down to earth, his name was changed to Satan. He is the god of this world. When Jesus went to the Cross and died for our sins, and then was resurrected – he broke the power of Satan over all who would place their trust in Him. If you do not belong to Jesus, then you belong to the devil. You are either saved or lost.

Naturally, people who deny the existence of Satan, will deny that there is a real place called hell. I have heard so often from unbelievers this: “A good God would never send anyone to hell – so I don’t believe there is even a place called hell.”

It is not the will of God that anyone would be sent to hell. His will is shown in many Scriptures, but this one is the most familiar:

John 3:16-17

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

Do you see that God gave His only Son for you and for me and for all people? His love is clearly shown by sending Jesus to earth and then to that horrid Cross, where He died an unspeakable death for us! He made a way for you to be saved from going to hell for eternity! Jesus rose from the dead and His death and Resurrection paid the debt for your sin and my sin.

Romans 5:8

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Revelation 21:8 – But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Matthew 25:46 – And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matthew 10:28 – And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Revelation 20:15 – And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Mark 9:43-48 – And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Revelation 20:14 – And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Matthew 13:50 – And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

2 Thessalonians 1:9 – Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

Revelation 14:11 – And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Matthew 5:22 – But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Hebrews 10:26-31 – For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Revelation 20:10 – And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

I believe that every word in the Bible is God’s own words. Yes, they were penned by men, but these men were under the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit. They are all His words.

If you have never repented of your sinful ways, and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then there is only one place your soul will go when you die. You will go to hell. But the good news is that you can know the Lord and be saved today! But God knows all things, and He knows your heart. He knows if you are sincere in wanting to come into the family of God.

Mosab Hassan Yousef – Son of Hamas Says “ISIS is the REAL Face of Islam”

In 2010, my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Mosab Hassan Yousef. He was being honored at a dinner on Capitol Hill, and he sent us passes to attend the event.

Mosab wrote the best selling book “Son of Hamas” a gripping true story about Mosab working for Israeli Intelligence as a spy. His father was one of the founders of the radical group Hamas.

Mosab rejected Islam and converted to Christianity. Christians kept inviting him to a Bible study in Jerusalem. He finally went, and he said that when he saw the Scripture where Jesus said to love your enemies, it had such a tremendous impact on him. He had never seen anything like that in Islam. He came to America to seek asylum.

Mosab Hassan Yousef, the bestselling author of “Son of Hamas: A Gripping Account of Terror, Betrayal, Political Intrigue, and Unthinkable Choices,” appeared on The Glenn Beck Program Monday to discuss how he rejected radical Islam and converted to Christianity.

“I was brought up in a state of delusion, believing the Islamic theory that once we control the globe and build an Islamic State we can bring humanity, justice and happiness and solve the human condition,” Yousef said. “Islam is a very dark theory and we need to face this reality.”

The son of one of the founding members of Hamas, Yousef worked as a spy for the Israeli intelligence service after beginning to question the ideology he had been raised with. On Monday, he reiterated his belief that “Islam is the religion of war.” (Emphasis mine)

Here we have a man who grew up in a Muslim home, who should know what his former religion was really about. He laughs when people call Islam a “religion of peace.”

The Blaze article continues:

“Islam is at war with everything that is not Muslim,” he said. “Islam has been in a war against the west and its foundations for the last 1,400 years. This is a fact. The Islamic phenomena that we see in ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, Taliban — this is not just a new phenomenon. It has been out there for the last 1,400 years. And I think this is the time for humanity to have the courage to say no to the Islamic theory.”

Yousef’s family publicly disowned him after he wrote “Son of Hamas,” and he said he lost “everything.” And while he believes everyone is capable of seeing the cruelty of Hamas and radical Islam, he also said “it’s easier for them to listen to the leader who is blaming all the social problems and many other problems on Israel and the United States of America.”  [2]

After Mosab came to America, he was seeking asylum here because he feared that if he returned to the Middle East, he would be killed. This was right after BHO had appointed many Muslims to the State Department and to DHS. Mosab told us that there was a chance that he would be denied asylum here because of these Muslims. He was so relieved when he was granted asylum – we were all holding our breath in anticipation of the decision.

Though Yousef said he believes both George Bush and Barack Obama have good intentions in the Middle East, he also said Obama’s insistence that the Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam “really matters.”

“When the president of the free world misleads the public, this is a big, big problem I believe,” he said. “ISIS is the real face of Islam. ISIS is the real manifestation of the Islamic ideology, of the Islamic theory.” (Emphasis mine)

And unlike some who believe Islam can undergo a reformation like Christianity, Yousef believes “Islam cannot be reformed” because at its core, it is based in tribal conflict and “the mentality of the 7th century.”

“I think today, Middle Easterners see the enemy is within,” Yousef said. “They see ISIS. They see their brutality. Even the Palestinians in Gaza, they see the brutality of Hamas and their absolute control over their lives. And [for] the first time, they come to realize that this is the Islamic theory in action. This is the Islamic theory manifestation.” [3]

Brethren, this is truth. When we read about Islam being a religion of peace, or when BHO tells the world that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam – we are being lied to.

Pray for the Muslims. Time is so short! Pray that so many will come to the TRUTH – we know the Truth is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
