70th Anniversary of Rebirth of Israel :: By Geri Ungurean

70th Anniversary of Rebirth of Israel: God Has Good News for You!
You thought that the Messiah was only coming for Israel.  The Lord God made it clear in Genesis that, through your seed, would all the nations of the earth be blessed!

God speaking to Abraham:

“And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice” (Genesis 22:18).

I have been reading that many in Israel are searching and researching about the long-awaited Messiah. I remember as a child, at the Passover table, we would leave a seat for Elijah the Prophet. It remained empty each year, and we would say, “Maybe next year in Jerusalem.” My family, like yours, was waiting for the promised Messiah.

From jewishanswers.org

The Significance of Elijah at the Table:

The most common tradition is to have a cup for Elijah the Prophet at the table that is usually filled with wine near the end of the Seder. I’ve never seen anyone designate a seat for Elijah, but I have seen the tradition cited in a book of customs called “Minhag Yisrael Torah.” There is a common tradition to designate a seat for Elijah at a circumcision.

Here’s a simpler explanation cited for the custom: At this point in the Seder we pour a new cup of wine to carry out, at least symbolically, our announcement at the opening of the Hagadah, “All those who are in need, come and eat!” The new cup is prepared for a guest who would come. At this time, when we recount the redemption of the Jews from Egypt in the Hagadah, we also express our hope for the future redemption with the coming of the Messiah.

The tradition is that Elijah the Prophet will be the one to announce the coming of Messiah. In fact, there’s a tradition that Messiah will come in the month in which Passover occurs – “Nissan” on the Jewish calendar. The cup is called “Elijah’s Cup” to express our hope that our guest will be Elijah himself coming to inform us of Messiah’s coming and the rebuilding of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. This theme of the future redemption rings throughout the Hagadah, and is stated explicitly at the beginning and the end in the words “Next Year in Jerusalem!” –source

Every year, I would wonder when the Messiah would ever come. It left me with profound sadness. As a Jewish child, I had no idea that Yeshua (Messiah) had already come! We were taught that the world was misled and that Jesus was merely a prophet.

Even in the synagogue, they would teach us that the disciples of Jesus stole His body and hid it to make people think that He had risen from the dead. When I was very young, I believed this. But as I got older, my heart was always searching for the truth about Jesus. I was more skeptical about this story.

Isaiah 53 Prophesied the Coming of Messiah!

Surprisingly, many Jews have never seen Isaiah 53; or if they have, then the evil one has blinded them to the truth. Isaiah 53 is so clearly a picture of Messiah Yeshua – the “Suffering Servant.”

Isaiah 53

“Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

** If you are thinking that this is a clear prophetic look at Jesus on the Cross – then you are 100% correct!

From the New Testament

In Romans 11, Paul tells us why there was a partial hardening of the Jews – why most did not receive Yeshua as the promised Messiah. Romans 11 is so vitally important to understand why the Jewish people did not recognize their Messiah.

ROMANS 11

Israel’s Rejection Not Total

“I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.  God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, ‘Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life’?

“But what does the divine response say to him? ‘I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.’ Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

“What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written:

‘God has given them a spirit of stupor,
Eyes that they should not see
And ears that they should not hear,
To this very day.’
And David says:

‘Let their table become a snare and a trap,
A stumbling block and a recompense to them.
Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see,
And bow down their back always.’

“I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

“For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,  if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

“For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

“You will say then, ‘Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.’ Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.  And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

“For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.’

“Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all.

“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

‘For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?’
‘Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?’
For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.”

ISRAEL – God is not through with you! He brought you back to your rightful home in 1948! Though the nations of the world are standing together against you, your God sees everything, and will defend you, and all the nations of the world will see His power and His might and His love for His people Israel!

There is so much more I want to tell you, but the most important thing now is for you to realize that Yeshua (Jesus) IS your Messiah. Because you missed His coming, this enabled the Gentiles to come into God’s Kingdom! How glorious is that?

Have you ever wondered why the only friends that Israel has left on the planet are Evangelical Christians? When they were born again and came into God’s Kingdom, they naturally had a great love for the Jews and for Israel. They know that their Messiah Yeshua came from the Jewish people, as did the Law and the Prophets!

I don’t know why the Lord opened my eyes many years ago to understand that Jesus is the Messiah of the whole world. I’m so glad that He did. There are many Jews who understand that He is the long- awaited Messiah of Israel.

How I Came to Know Yeshua    <click here to read

My Jewish people, I want you to understand something that will happen in the near future. A man (of sin) whom the Bible calls Antichrist, will fool the world – including Israel. He will enforce a 7-year peace agreement with Israel, and will also help to build the 3rd Temple. Midway into the 7 years, this man of sin will sit in the Temple and proclaim that he is God. During this time, 144,000 Jewish Evangelists will be spreading the Gospel of Yeshua (Jesus) to the whole world.

The eyes of the Jewish people will be opened to the truth when Antichrist sits in the Temple. Israel will realize that Yeshua (Jesus) was and is their Messiah. 1/3 of the Jews will flee to the hills to escape Antichrist, but sadly 2/3 of them will perish at the hand of this monstrous man who is indwelled by Satan. I am telling you these things, because if you are here during the Great Tribulation, you WILL remember my words; you WILL know that I spoke truth to you.

During this most troubling time in Israel, I felt led to share this with my people. I pray that many eyes will be opened to the truth. There is a time coming in the future when all of Israel will know that Yeshua is their Messiah. This will be during a time of tribulation such as the world has never seen, nor will ever see again.

My prayer is that He opens your eyes now.

Yeshua is coming back for His people (those who love and trust Him) before the Tribulation. You can go to heaven with Him before the Tribulation begins!

Kim Jong-un is Another Hitler:  Do Not Be Deceived! :: By Geri Ungurean

I am certainly conflicted about the upcoming meeting between the brutal dictator Kim Jong-un and the leadership of South Korea. I wrote an article recently in which I spoke about the collapse of North Korea’s nuclear facility.

Why Kim Jong-un Really Froze His Nuclear Testing < click here

I say I am conflicted because I would love to think that there has been a turning within the dictator’s heart. But I am discerning that this new face of Kim Jong-un is a facade. Our son lives and works in Seoul, South Korea. He tells me that the people of South Korea pay no attention to Jong-un. Through the years they say he has made a lot of bluster but nothing to back it up.

Perhaps it was nothing but bluster from the father of Kim Jong-un, but I see something different in this man. I see a “Hitler” when I watch his speeches. I see a ruthless and murderous dictator, who I am afraid is now fooling not just his people – but perhaps the whole world.

So that you will understand why I have these foreboding feelings about this man, please make time to watch this documentary in its entirety:

In my article about the collapse of the North Korean nuclear facility – credible news sites reported that radiation is pouring out of the top of the mountain where the collapse took place. But there has been nothing told to the people of North Korea about this. They are in imminent danger of radiation poisoning. I also fear for my son in South Korea, that this radiation may affect South Korea as well.

North Korean defector describes ‘life of hell’ for Christians

Choi Kwanghyuk was able to free himself from the clutches of a brutal dictatorship in his native North Korea. Like many others in the Hermit Kingdom, he was targeted and persecuted by the government for his Christian faith.

North Korean Choi Kwanghyuk is one of the lucky ones.

The 55-year-old managed to escape from the work camp where he was sent after being targeted and persecuted by the government for his Christian faith.

“We couldn’t raise our voice during a service, we couldn’t sing out loud during a worship … that was hard,” Choi told Fox News through a translator. “Also, we had to hide so that other people could not see us.”

Despite having to hide his faith in plain sight while living in North Hamgyong province, Choi was still compelled to bring religion to others when he started an underground church.

“There were about nine people,” he said. “I couldn’t do mission work because we had to keep it secret that we had a church.”

“If that information had leaked, we could have faced the death penalty.”

North Korea is officially an atheist state where – except for a “show church” in Pyongyang that tourists are shown – public worship is forbidden. The country is ranked the most oppressive place for Christians in the world and has had that ignominious status for years, according to Open Doors USA.

“[Choi’s] statements describing oppression, as well as his report of imprisonment for owning a Bible or practicing faith, align with everything we know about North Korea,” Open Doors President David Curry told Fox News. “Rated the worst place for the persecution of Christians, North Korea treats Christians horrendously and registers them as ‘enemies of the state’ for their faith.”

The totalitarian state forces the estimated 300,000 Christians living there to hide their religious beliefs and fellowship among each other.

“In a nation where the ruling regime demands total control over the general public, anything that challenges the government’s power is seen as a threat, including religion,” Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern, told Fox News. “As a result, the North Korean government does everything in its power to squash the spread of Christianity.”

This leads much of the religious population in North Korea to go underground with their worship, much like Choi and his church were forced to do.

“We had only one Bible,” he said. “North Hamgyong province is very cold. In the winter, we would dig a big hole and store kimchi there. We sometimes had services there. In the summer, we had services in the mountain or by the river.”

“I never heard the term ‘underground church’ until I got here [to the U.S.].”

In 2008, North Korean authorities caught up to Choi and arrested him. He was held in prison by the state security department where he says he was interrogated about his faith.

“I was tortured there,” he said. “I kept denying it.”

He said that he was about to be sent to one of North Korea’s brutal labor camps when he was able to break free.

“I decided to escape because I thought that, once they sent me to the other camp, they could eventually send me to the concentration camp or kill me,” Choi recalled. “I was traveling back and forth between China and North Korea; but they kept searching for me, and I knew it could put my friends in danger too, so I left.”

The North Korean gulag system is notorious for harsh conditions and brutal treatment of its prisoners.

Choi feared being sent to the most notorious camp within the system – Camp 22.

Also known as Hoeryong concentration camp, and part of a large system of prison camps throughout the Communist dictatorship, Camp 22 is an 87-square-mile penal colony located in North Hamgyong province where most of the prisoners are people accused of criticizing the government.

Inmates, most of whom are serving life sentences, face harsh and often lethal conditions. According to the testimony of a former guard from Camp 22, prisoners live in bunkhouses with 100 people per room, and some 30 percent show the markings of torture and beatings – torn ears, gouged eyes, and faces covered with scars.

“Unfortunately, it is inexplicably easy to wind up in one of these camps. While someone can be sent to one of these camps for openly evangelizing, someone can just as easily be sent there for simply being in contact with a religious person,” said King of the International Christian Concern.

Prisoners are forced to stand on their toes in tanks filled with water up to their noses for 24 hours, stripped and hanged upside-down while being beaten or given the infamous “pigeon torture” – where both hands are chained to a wall at a height of 2 feet, forcing them to crouch for hours at a time.

Tiny rations of watery corn porridge leave inmates on the brink of starvation; and many hunt rats, snakes and frogs for protein. Some even take the drastic measure of searching through animal dung for undigested seeds to eat. Beatings are handed out daily for offenses as simple as not bowing down in respect to the guards fast enough. Prisoners are used as practice targets during martial arts training. Guards routinely rape female inmates.

Choi said he finally escaped to neighboring China. While he was figuring out where to go next, he had heard how the general image of North Korean defectors was not positive among those in South Korea.

“So, I applied for asylum in the U.S.,” he told Fox News.

Choi, who was single when he lived in North Korea, was granted asylum in the U.S. in 2013. He first lived in Dallas before eventually moving to Los Angeles where he now lives.

Choi said that, as a result of injuries he received while being tortured, he is unable to work but has committed himself to telling the world about the human rights abuses in his native land.

“First of all, every human must have the right to freedom,” he said. “There is no freedom in North Korea. By law, they have the freedom of religion and the freedom of the press, but the reality is very different.”

And despite the hardships he may face, Choi said that life in the U.S. is a vast improvement.

“There is an enormous difference between my life in North Korea and my life in the U.S,” he said.

“The life in North Korea is hell … life in America is heaven.” – source

Brethren, please pray for the people of North Korea and South Korea. Pray for Kim Jong-un, for our Lord is capable of doing anything. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

Pray that the South Korean president will not be duped by Jong-un if he is not sincere.

Pray for discernment. Pray that God’s will be done.

Shalom b’Yeshua
