Proverbs 27:1 “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”

Like the scripture says above, little did we know that this would turn out to be our ‘Last Real Vacation.’ It was Fall of 2019, and my Husband came up with the idea for us to go on a ‘Caribbean Cruise’ to celebrate our Late Summer Birthdays together. At the time, I thought going to the Bahamas in October would be either ‘too cool’ for me to swim and/or we would run into ‘Hurricane Season.’

Ecclesiastes 8:7 “Since no one knows what will happen, who can tell him what is to come?”

Sure enough, right after we Booked our Flight, Car Rental, and Cruise that was planned to Embark from off the Coast of Florida, we learned that a Category 5 Hurricane devastated the Grand Bahama Island! We then discovered that the Bahamas is comprised of over 30 Big Islands and hundreds of smaller ones, so we found out that the area we were going to was not affected.

Providentially, We Were Still Going to Be Able to Go.

Come to find out, October is actually a ‘great time’ (hindsight now says it was the perfect time) to go to the Bahamas due to the Crowds, Climate, and Pricing not being at their peak. The Weather was absolutely Balmy and Beautiful, the Water was Gorgeously and Famously Turquoise Blue, the Cruise was Amusing and Smooth Sailing, and the Food was Plenteous and Diverse!

Our visit to Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in Nassau on day 2 was Exhilarating and Breath-Taking, the Captain’s Dinner Night on day 3 was Fanciful and Entertaining, and the ‘best for last’ was the Glass- Bottom Boat Kayaking in Princess Cays on day 4 where we got to hold ‘Non-Stinging Jellyfish’ that looked like giant flowers! Even the photos could not convey the ‘absolute beauty’ of it all!

Nehemiah 4:11 “And our enemies said, ‘Before they know or see a thing, we will come into their midst, kill them, and put an end to the work.'”

Enemies at Work

Meanwhile, around the same time, Bill Gates was hosting a ‘Closed-Door Gathering’ of Elites called ‘Event 201.’ Apparently, a ‘Plush Coronavirus Toy’ came along with the invitation, for whatever demented reason. This meeting was held in New York City to ‘convene about and simulate’ a ‘Hypothetical Flu Pandemic’ which had the potential for catastrophic and devastating consequences. Hmm… Wha-da-ya-know…. Within weeks of this ‘nefarious meeting,’ thousands would ‘somehow become infected’ with this ‘Hypothetical Plan-demic Disease’ and die!

Ecclesiastes 9:12 “For surely no man knows his time: Like fish caught in a cruel net or birds trapped in a snare, so men are ensnared in an evil time that suddenly falls upon them.”

For months in early 2020, the whole World, our Economy, countless Jobs, our Schools, and even our Everyday lives were in ‘shutdown mode’! All of a sudden, there was no more coming and going as we pleased, no more large gatherings in social settings, and no more going to town for ‘frivolous reasons.’ Only for essential reasons were we allowed!

Eroding of Our Freedoms

Even to this day, we are told to wear masks, practice social distancing, and mostly to just ‘stay home’! No more ‘Fun in the Sun’ for us, no more Beaches, Traveling, or even going to State Parks without a mask! Ultimately, there is no more choosing for ourselves ‘when, what, where’ we would like to go either! Basically, we are finding out that our Freedoms and our American Way of Life are systematically being taken down and put away!

Hindsight is 20/20. 

All I know now is that my Husband’s ‘Cruise Idea’ for us in October of 2019 became one of the Best ‘Divinely Planted Aspirations’ he has ever had! We are so Thankful for God’s Will and Provision for allowing us that Wonderful Time and Enjoyable Experience before the World and its Circumstances took a ‘nose dive’ and changed on us!

James 4:13-15 “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business, and make a profit.’ You do not even know what will happen tomorrow! What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If the Lord is willing, we will live and do this or that.'”

Lord Willing, we will be ‘Accounted Worthy’ to Escape all of this ‘Nightmare that is our New Normal’ and be able to go HOME sooner rather than later!

There are many resurrections from the dead mentioned in scripture.

Six Resurrections

The son of the Shunammite woman

1 Kings 17: 22 – “The child’s soul came back into him, and he revived.”

The prophet Jonah

Jonah 2:6 – “Yahweh brought me up alive from the pit.”

The daughter who is only “asleep”

Luke 8:54-55 – “But he took her by the hand, called out, ‘Little girl, get up!’ and her spirit returned.”

The only son of a widow

Luke 7:14-15 – “Yeshua said, ‘Young man, I say to you: get up!’ The dead man sat up and began to speak.”

John 11:43-44 – “Having said this, he shouted, ‘Lazarus, come out!’ The man who had been dead came out.”

Dorcas/Tabitha (Tavita)

Acts 9:40 – “Peter said, ‘Tavita! Get up!’ She opened her eyes; and on seeing Peter, sat up.”

Three More Resurrections

The Holy Ones

Matthew 27:50-53 – “The graves were opened, and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life; and after Yeshua rose, they came out of the graves and went into the holy city, where many people saw them.”

Those who were already in the grave were resurrected at the moment Yeshua died, and later were seen by many as they witnessed in the city of Jerusalem.

Yeshua

Matthew 28:7 – “He has been raised from the dead, and now he is going to the Galilee ahead of you.”

Mark 16:9 – “When Yeshua rose early on Sunday, he appeared first to Miriam of Magdala.”

John 20:17 – “Stop holding onto me,’ Yeshua said to her, ‘because I have not yet ascended to the Father.’”

When Yeshua rose early on Sunday, he appeared first to Miriam of Magdala (Mary Magdalene) and commanded her not to cling to him as he had “not yet ascended to his Father,” saying he would meet them in Galilee.

The Two Witnesses

Revelation 11:11-12 – “And after three days and a half the Spirit of life from Yahweh entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up here. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.”

After being dead and left to rot in the streets of Jerusalem, Yahweh resurrects the two witnesses, who are then raptured.

Wait: None of These People Instantly Disappeared!

The above statement is absolutely true: Not one of the six resurrected people instantly disappeared when they came back to life. Just the opposite. ALL were seen alive by many after their resurrection. Perhaps this is due to their not receiving a glorified, incorruptible, immortal body. Most, we assume, later died and were buried.

However, neither the Holy Ones, nor Yeshua, nor the Two Witnesses of Revelation instantly disappeared after their resurrection, either! Just the opposite. ALL were also seen alive by many after their resurrection. In fact, Revelation tells us that the two witnesses may very well be seen by all of the people of the entire world (Revelation 11:9).

Conclusion

Perhaps it is time to revisit the instant disappearance resurrection/rapture paradigm. Not once does scripture give an account of an instantaneous rapture after a resurrection. Neither does scripture indicate that a resurrection necessarily results in any rapture. Instead, the many patterns revealed in the scriptures show a progression of well-witnessed events over time.
