The World Gone Mad–At Least The US :: By Bill Wilson

Some of the headlines in just the past few days indicate that the world has gone mad since Joe Biden* took office. So many executive orders, so many policy changes, so many calls for unity followed by demands against conservatives and Christians. It is almost like a hurricane of crazy.

Those addicted to the next one-up on conspiracy theory fantasy can give up their delusions because the facts of what is going on right now politically are at least as outrageous as QAnon hope pornography.

People, there is a crisis before our very eyes. One that is not made up and needs a tremendous amount of prayer and standing in the gap. Just think about what has happened in the past few days.

Biden told the people of Pennsylvania and Michigan that he would end the fossil fuel industry. He underscored it in his debates and subsequently reiterated it in speeches in Pennsylvania. Yet the people of those two states, which will be hurt immensely by Biden’s pipeline and drilling ban, allowed their electoral votes to be certified. Trouble is, the rest of the nation, particularly Texas, will lose thousands of jobs. Jobs that the leftists say young people don’t need to have in the first place—that they will someday take clean green jobs instead. “Someday” is interpreted as in the distant future. These workers will either be absorbed by other jobs or will become wards of the state—which is probably the long-term strategy.

There are mounting calls by Democratic Party leadership and leftist media influencers to declare the Republican Party as a domestic terrorist organization. Democratic Party-supporting MeidasTouch PAC co-founder Ben Meiselas, on the PAC’s podcast Friday, branded Republican Party members as “traitors” unworthy of being called conservatives while describing the GOP as “no different” from the ISIS terror group. The video was introduced with a Twitter message referring to the Republican Party as the “GOP terrorist party.” Breitbart reports that the video has gained nearly half a million views on Twitter alone, with the hashtag “#GOPDomesticTerrorists” trending on the app as a result.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has ordered that the LGBTQ alphabet of sexual genders flag be flown at US embassies around the world. Biden’s executive order requires that transgendered people would not be denied access to school sports, meaning biological men can compete in women’s sports.

Four years were spent trying to clean up government, and in one week, look what has happened.

Christ says in Luke 11:25-26 of the house where the unclean spirit was cast out, “And when he comes, he finds it swept and garnished. Then he goes and takes to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there.”

Now Biden is building a wall around the nation’s Capitol building. Is it to keep the crazies out or to protect the crazies inside?

Because Of God :: By Edwin Tan

The month of January in 2021 has drawn to a close as this article begins; it has been a month fraught with major upsets followed by unimaginable heartbreaks where many believers in Christ are concerned. While this is much likened to a boxing tournament where the opponent won through dirty tactics that were given the nod of approval, there appears to be little time plus space for wounds to recover. No thanks to the slew of unpleasant happenings that show up like bolts from the deep blue. As if it was like pouring salt on gaping lacerations, you can say that when your ears catch not mere rumors but almost foregone conclusions as breathers seemingly become limited!

For individuals claiming to be followers of Christ but not being firmly rooted in the faith, the above-mentioned happenings at warp speed can only be cause for jangled nerves plus sleepless nights. Even for the ones that have stronger faith, there is still that sense of quiet unease about that which is coming. It could sound like something beyond the previous hurdles that were overcome. Maybe this time around, it would not hold – such is the unnerving nature of nagging thoughts that pummel the minds of the battle-hardened believers.

First and foremost, it might reach a point where you consider yourself to be neglected by God. Such a notion is a blatant lie by none other than the father of lies. Scripture confirms this in 2 Samuel 22, verses 18 & 19. “He delivered me from my strong enemy, From those who hated me; For they were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the Lord was my support.”

Your mind may receive a torrent of gloom and doom ideas. However, the Word of God can tell us whether these are lies versus the truth if we rest on the Scriptures. It might be easier said than done, but make the effort to find comfort in the Living Word, even if you happen to be down in the dumps. Grab your Bible, and for goodness sake, ditch the bottle!

Oftentimes, we let the situation have an overwhelming grip over us, which turns out to be more of the unnecessary. Our mind then plays tricks on us, and we get uptight. This is when we need to pray, asking the Holy Spirit to anoint us with the peace that surpasses all human understanding. We are undoubtedly approaching our hour of redemption, but the wicked one chooses to spoil the show. Do not ever let this bad guy have a laugh over this – so be strong in the Lord.

For those who feel that they are running out of spiritual stamina, seek the Lord and ask Him to renew your strength. He is all ears and all eyes because he truly loves those who let Him be Lord of their lives. He will unfailingly show His delight for those who put their trust in Him as verses 20 and 21 of 2 Samuel so state. “He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.”

Take heart from the goodness of our Heavenly Dad who is not ignorant where your sincerity goes with your heart. Your reward is around the corner, so hang in there. In the meantime, He will send His Heavenly Host to guard you and those you love. In all likelihoods that will surface, whatever rumblings of nasty things sound more like threats. It is like thunder, which is loud and ominous, but it is the lightning that harms.

Whatever talk of potential horror stories might not so much be something to unsettle you but to imbue in us that urgency regarding many unsaved dear ones. The sands of time are running out pretty soon, and there is little time for second thoughts. It could be the case of some people left behind to face unspeakable atrocities unless they come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, the one and only way by which one can be reconciled with God.

Once a person is reconciled with God, he or she will be deemed precious in the sight of the Creator of everything. “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

Yours in the Body of Christ

Edwin
