Alluring and Tantalizing: Superhumanism Rising :: By Wilfred Hahn

While the entire world is totally subsumed with the Covid-19 pandemic, it is likely oblivious to the continuing advance of one of the most identifiable characteristics of an endtime world—Superhumanism. We will explain further.

For now, most people are feeling bewildered, dazed and confused. They are focusing on the shrill news reporting of the here and now. Therefore, the long-term trends that define the future world will not be discernible to them. And that is not surprising, as it plays into the hands of policymakers and global elites, who will tend to regard crises opportunistically.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that various news media, the world over, well know how to boost their profits. For the most part, the success of the news media is dependent on viewership. The more eyeballs and ears that they attract, the higher the advertising rates … the greater the revenues.

Therefore, it is no surprise that in a Mammon-driven world, people’s emotions of fear will be preyed upon. Deliberate fear-mongering and over-hyped speculation become rampant.

Wherever one looks, there are worrisome reports and speculations about Covid-19 and other developments. One cannot escape without unplugging the TV and the internet.

However, one future outcome (among others) can be assured: Mankind will eventually overcome Covid-19. In fact, the worst may be already behind us.

Surely, such a view will sound speculative but not unfounded.

Modern Man has already overcome or controlled some of the world’s most virulent plagues. Consider smallpox. It was a persistent disease for centuries in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It killed 3 out of 10 people who were infected. As of the 1500s, tragically, it killed as much as 90% of the indigenous populations in the New World.

Epidemiology, of course, didn’t come into its own until centuries later. More recently, in 1980, the World Health Organization (WHO) finally announced that smallpox had been completely eradicated from the earth.

There have been other major successes. The near eradication of polio is one such milestone this past century. Other killer diseases, while not eliminated entirely, have been controlled … i.e., cholera, Ebola, SARs. As such, our optimism will not be misplaced.

However, there is one aspect of the Covid-19 pandemic that is new: While Covid-19 is not among the greatest killer plagues in the annals of human history, it probably has had the greatest psychological impact upon humanity of all. Its psychological footprint is global, spreading fears to the four corners of the globe.

Even more significant is this: Never in world history has attention been so centered on the financial and economic aspects of a pandemic.

Fears of economic collapse … imploding stock markets … bankruptcies of airlines … etc. have been grave concerns among policymakers. Never have the economic aspects of a pandemic been so intensively analyzed and fought over.

Governments around the world pumped funds into financial markets and economies to provide income support to households … as well as stock markets. It is estimated that worldwide, more than $11 trillion in aid has been made available in various ways. How much is that? It would be equivalent to 13% of the size of the entire world economy … a gargantuan amount beyond comprehension. But that is not all: The four major central banks also pumped in over $10 trillion globally in 2020.

The result? Though economic challenges are far from over, a considerable portion of the economic impact has been reversed. That, of course, will be seen as a success.

A New World Emerges from Quarantine

Now, as the world begins to emerge from quarantines and lockdowns, what do we see? Success is in grasp. As is well known, “Success has many fathers.” There will be much to brag about for policymakers. Not only has a new virus been controlled, with death tolls now declining rapidly, but also economies are starting to surge. Already, there is a shortage of global shipping containers.

Most remarkable of all? Stock market and house prices in many regions are at new highs. Consider this statement again: The world emerges from the enormous losses of the Covid-19 pandemic, and financial markets are at all-time high levels.

How could this be? Actually, it is not surprising. We wrote an article on this exact same phenomenon in this column titled, “The Coming Glee of Great Catastrophe” (February 2006; available at eternalvalue.com). It showed the tremendous resourcefulness of a Mammon-commandeered world that will always find a way to spin a positive and prosperous story for financial markets.

All the apparent problems of the world today—for example, global aging, collapse of fertility, over-indebtedness … etc.—have contributed to booming financial markets and not crashes as most have feared. We must not forget that God sends strong delusion upon the world in the last days. Humankind loves delusion if it leads to an appearance of prosperity (real or not). We definitely are witnessing this phenomenon today.

In this vein, another claimed father of success will be the new monetary tools employed. The new policies borne of the popularized Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) will win accolades from policymakers. Surely, MPT will be relied upon to generate prosperity in the future as well … at least until it has become overly implemented.

In the meantime, the world will become prouder.

In fact, mankind will even come to appear invincible.

The world will have survived the pandemic. It now intends to “build back better” … as it sees fit.

Pride of Achievement

The Bible says that pride precedes the fall (Proverbs 16:18). Indeed, the fall will surely come. But, we think, not quite yet. Why? Superhumanism has yet to ripen fully.

In recent times, we have been writing about Ripening Trends upon the earth (9 of these covered here to date). To us, they together provide a strong indication of the approaching Tribulation period. While the times cannot be accurately forecasted, we surely can recognize the “season” of the times.

Superhumanism is in sympathy with all of these Ripening Trends that we have reviewed to date. It will be the successes and pride of Superhumanism that will eventually lead to the demise of mankind. God Himself will intervene … in wrath.

However, until that time is reached, the successes that give rise to Superhumanism can be expected to lure the inhabitants of the world.

Herein lies the danger to all … and perhaps, most of all, to Christians. A world that makes it appear as if it is overcoming all its problems and producing ever-rising prosperity and financial wealth will attract many devotees. With trends that go so swimmingly, why be shackled by God and His laws and promises (Psalm 2:1-5)? Superhumanism will lure humans like flypaper to flies. Satan very well knows what humans like.

While stock market crashes and crises of various kinds may provide convenient opportunities to drive the construction of a one-world rule, it is Superhumanism that will pull in many willing adherents.

Interestingly, and in parallel for some time, there have been a growing number of advocates of Transhumanism. It holds the view that mankind will continue to evolve and advance … by employing new technologies, genetic engineering … etc. Some of its tenets seem otherworldly. However, what is not to be taken lightly is the advance of Superhumanism, which is unfolding before our very eyes.

In our day, we are witnessing two parallel phenomena: the development of powerful technologies and globalist policies, and at the same time, soaring human arrogance and pride. Contrary to the incessant bleatings of the doomsters—who constantly have been predicting disasters—humanity, in many ways, is actually experiencing the best of times.

When the Demise of Superhumanism?

It is our belief that mankind’s systems will be destroyed by the wrath-infused judgments and actions of God Himself during the second half of the Tribulation period.

Mankind’s systems are not likely to collapse before the second half of the Tribulation. They may become fragile and overextended—having relied much on human delusion and psychological innuendo to that point—but still function during periods of crisis.

We recall what God said of the people of Babel: “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them” (Genesis 11:6).

The inhabitants further said: “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise, we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth” (Genesis 11:4).

What we see is that the people of Babel were indeed successful in building their city and their tower (though admittedly not as high as heaven).

Consider the “advanced technology” that they employed in the construction of the Tower of Babel. The people of that era (living not long after the Flood) “[…] said to each other, ‘Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.’ They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.”

As such, God Himself intervened in this case by confusing their language so they could not understand each other. God sought to frustrate the advances of mankind that gave rise to pride and humanism—and to spread them out.

Points to Ponder

We see a human world of larger and larger cities, ever higher population density, and globalism—unified, smug, and intent upon constructing a world apart from God. The sins of Babel are today being replicated on a massive global scale.

In fact, organized humanity no longer thinks it needs God. Worse, the notion of even believing in the Creator God is regarded as primitive.

And so, just as God had to intervene in the days of Nimrod’s Tower of Babel, so God will intervene once again. We note here the fact that their societal collapse was triggered by an external catalyst—God!

God, therefore, responds in wrath as prophesied: “The LORD Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled) […] The arrogance of man will be brought low and human pride humbled; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day, and the idols will totally disappear” (Isaiah 2:12, 17-18).

Christians, who have been given the Great Hope and are therefore saved from wrath, can be thankful for the advances and quality of life afforded today.

However, Mammon and Superhumanism are alluring. They will be difficult to resist … eventually playing a role in causing faith to run cold. Many are likely to succumb.

However, technology (and humanism) is not our strong tower. Instead: “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10). “For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe” (Psalm 61:3).

Webster’s dictionary defines “dystopia” as a “hypothetical place, society, or situation in which conditions and the quality of life are dreadful.” When I looked up the definition of the word through Microsoft Word on my PC, I saw this definition: “an imagined world or society in which people lead wretched, dehumanized, fearful lives.”

The word “dystopia” perfectly describes what the United States would look like if all of President Biden’s planned cuts in greenhouse gas emissions become a reality. This plan is inseparably linked with his declared socialist agenda for America.

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, Biden “held a climate summit with dozens of world leaders where he pledged to cut America’s greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 — with or without approval from Congress.” ^[i]

This is none other than the Marxist New Green Deal revitalized under the current administration now leading the United States.

I have exceptionally good news for the weary, but first, the bad news, which will make the good news seem all the more glorious.

The Biden Plan for the Environment

Here are a few of the goals/ramifications of the Biden administration plan:

Half of the country’s electricity would come from renewable sources such as wind, solar, or hydropower, up from one-fifth today.
Two-thirds of new cars and SUVs sold would be battery-powered, up from roughly 2% today. The average price of these cars would be $55,000.
One-fourth of Americans would need to stop heating their homes with natural gas and switch to electricity, meaning an investment of more than $5,500 for those households to install an electric heat pump.
Drastically cut red meat consumption in the U.S. to one burger per month per person.
Raise taxes on average $3,500 per person in the United States. ^[ii]

The price of gasoline has gone up by one dollar this year where I live, and that is without the measures that President Biden desires to inflict upon the U.S. to “save the environment.” The price of gasoline and diesel fuel would skyrocket with the implementation of Biden’s plan, as will the cost of food, which is already rapidly climbing. The cost of heating and cooling our homes would go through the roof!

In addition, these measures would wipe out farming in much of the Midwest and further destroy lines of food supply in America. It is utter and total foolishness to believe that cattle contribute to the climate emergency? It’s a ridiculous lie that the globalists hope we will swallow as they seek to control our diet as well as everything else in our lives.

The higher taxes, increased costs of transportation and food, the cost of switching from gas-burning furnaces in our homes, and the skyrocketing costs of everything else would eliminate the middle class in America and utterly destroy the lives of poor people in the United States. With this scenario, everyone becomes completely dependent on a totalitarian Marxist government; a dystopia by any other name.

The Biden Plan Would Add to the Worldwide Ecological Disaster Caused by Green Energy

The Biden plan to cut greenhouse emissions would result in a worldwide ecological disaster. In the name of saving the planet, his policies would wreak havoc upon the environment.

Sara Burrows wrote this about the great ecological damage that comes from mining the ingredients needed for car batteries:

Lithium mining inevitably harms the soil, pollutes the air, and especially pollutes the water, according to a report by Friends of the Earth.

“Like any mining process, it is invasive, it scars the landscape, destroys the water table, and pollutes the earth and local wells,” says Guillermo Gonzalez, a lithium battery expert from the University of Chile.

In Tibet, it is becoming commonplace to see masses of dead fish, yaks and cows floating downstream of a lithium mine on the Liqi River….

And, although it’s the most abundant, lithium isn’t even the most problematic ingredient of lithium-ion batteries.

Cobalt and nickel are quickly becoming the new “blood diamonds” of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Both are extremely toxic when pulled from the ground, often using child labor without protective equipment.

And, to top it all off, lithium-ion batteries are not recyclable, leaving their toxic contents to leach into landfills and ground water. ^[iii]

Some experts believe that there is not enough lithium on the planet to meet Biden’s goal that two-thirds of all cars and SUVs be battery-driven.

The windmills themselves have also become an ecological disaster because, after twenty years, they wear out. The matter of disposing of worn-out parts from windmills has also become a significant problem across the world. Windmills have created a huge need for landfill space in which to dispose of them.

Those who proclaim that “green energy” is good for the environment either do not recognize the fallacy of such a statement, or they purposely seek to deceive others regarding its significant environmental damage caused by mining the parts for car batteries and the great harm caused by windmills. In addition, windmill farms kill thousands of birds each year.

The Biden Plan Is Based on Faulty Science

There is no climate emergency; those who claim otherwise are lying to us.

I wrote a chapter in the book Lawless entitled “Who Are the Real Deniers?” In the chapter, I demonstrate that the warnings of the climate alarmists are not based on “settled science.” Many highly acclaimed scientists believe that the sun has more to do with the fluctuating temperatures on earth than anything else. I also discuss how active volcanoes emit much more carbon dioxide into the air than the burning of all the fossil fuels.

The prognosticators of environmental doom have yet to make an accurate prediction. Why should we believe them? Why should we allow our government to devastate the poor and wipe out the middle class on the basis of forecast models that have never ever proven to be accurate? Why turn back the clock in America to the stone age on the basis of predictions that have always erred by a wide margin?

Furthermore, those who warn us of impending doom and rising sea levels betray their own words by the way they live. They own multiple homes, private jets, yachts, and purchase multi-million mansions at sea level. They do not fear the rising sea levels they warn us about; why should we?

It’s All About Controlling People

Yes, the immediate goal of the globalists and the deep state in the United States is that of a socialistic society with everyone totally dependent upon the government for their livelihood and everything else. When I worked on my chapter for Lawless, it became clearer to me than ever before that the goals of the UN’s Agenda 2030 and the Green New Deal in America would lead to total government control of everything in our lives. Please know that it’s much, much more about the redistribution of wealth and control than anything related to saving the environment.

When I first started visiting the World Economic Forum (WEF) website, the prominent videos portrayed the goals of its “Great Reset” as a world in which the government owned everything and people rented everything, even their clothes, from the government. The sentence, “You will own nothing, and you will be happy,” is a direct quote from one such video that I watched many times. Though this video and others like it have disappeared (or perhaps they lie buried somewhere on the site), they reveal the communist agenda behind the Great Reset. Is this not communism where the government owns everything?

Though COVID-19 now dominates the WEF site as the means to make the Great Reset happen, they have not at all lost sight of climate change, which is now the “climate emergency,” as a means of controlling people. COVID-19 provides the needed widespread fear, while the “climate emergency” provides the context for further control of our lives.

In his April 28 address, President Biden again emphasized the need to “build back better.” First of all, this slogan comes directly from the WEF and their proposed Great Reset, their vision of a communist utopia. Secondly, it presupposes the destruction of existing economic structures. Everything advocated by the Biden administration fits like a glove with total control of humanity advocated by Klaus Schwab at the WEF.

It starts with the poison pill of socialism, which is clearly the path of the current green agenda and the Biden administration. At first, this pill goes down like a sugar-coated drug. But in the end, it leads to the deadly sickness of communism.

Remember the definition of dystopia, “an imagined world or society in which people lead wretched, dehumanized, fearful lives.” This is precisely what the world will look like if the globalists have their way with resolving the so-called climate emergency while using COVID-19 injections to further regulate human behavior.

The Good News, Yes, There is Really Good News

Finally! Yes, there is really good news for those of us in Christ. In 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, the apostle Paul describes the end result of all we see today, which will eventually include the “man of lawlessness” defiling a future Jewish temple and proclaiming himself to be God. This will happen in the midst of God pouring out His wrath on a Christ-rejecting world.

“How is this good news?” you ask. The entire antichrist system that we see taking shape before our eyes cannot fully materialize until God removes the work of the Restrainer from the world (2 Thess. 2:3-8). The Restrainer is the Holy Spirit, and He is currently holding back the full expression of all the evil we see taking shape everywhere we look. His work of curtailing the great evil of the “man of lawlessness” will come to an end when Jesus removes His church from the world.

In other words, Satan cannot finish his work of setting up his Marxist dystopia on the earth, with his man in charge (AKA the “man of lawlessness”), until after our departure from planet Earth.

This is exceptionally good news for us because it means our home-going is ever so close! If we are this close to the biblical prophecies regarding the tribulation coming to fruition, how much closer must we be to Jesus’ appearing, which must happen first? I believe we are very close to our great hope, as Jesus described in John 14:1-3.

I told you the news would be really great! Keep looking up with eager expectation of Jesus’ soon appearing!! It will be glorious beyond all that we can imagine.
