A few years ago I wrote an article about this, but the blatant arrogance, lying and lawlessness of President Obama has prompted me to update and add to it with more recent examples.

I personally do not believe President Obama is the Antichrist for four reasons:

1) Because the Antichrist must rise to power after the 10 kings and they are not here (Dan.7:24).

2) Because the Antichrist must rise to power in Europe not the U.S. (Dan. 9:26).

3) Because the Antichrist can’t appear while the church is here.

4) Because President Obama is a very poor, indecisive, foolish leader; but he definitely has the spirit of Antichrist and he could be a type or forewarning of the Antichrist (1 Cor. 10:11).

The Antichrist will have a mouth speaking great things (Dan.7:8). Pres. Obama has been hailed as a great speaker.

The Antichrist will rise to power as a little horn, wax exceedingly great, andtake over the world (Dan.7:8; 8:9; Rev.13:7-8). Two years before he ran for President of the United States, Mr. Obama was virtually unknown (a little horn). Today, he has great power and some want him to head up the New World Order (rule the world).

The Antichrist will seek to change laws (Dan.7:25). Pres. Obama has arbitrarily (some say illegally) changed laws. He has changed Obamacare more than 25 times; changed drug, immigration, and minimum wage laws without congressional approval, etc.

The Antichrist will wear out the saints (Dan.7:25). President Obama supported Mr. Morsi in Egypt and the rebels in Syria even though they were persecuting and killing Christians. He has tried to force Christians to pay for abortions, accept homosexuality, etc.

The Antichrist will magnify himself (Dan.8:11). President Obama was overheard telling French President Francois Hollande, “That’s the good thing about being president; I can do anything I want.” He thinks his words and actions are above question.

The Antichrist will cast down the truth (Dan.8:12). President Obama is a chronic liar whose promise: If you like your health care plan, you can keep it” was selected by PolitiFact as the 2013 “Lie of the Year.”

The Antichrist will destroy wonderfully (Dan.8:24). President Obama is destroying America’s military, healthcare system, Constitution, economy, etc. and he is not through.

The Antichrist will rise to power as a man of peace (Dan. 8:25). President Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing. He crafted a peace plan for the Middle East and said, “America will never give up.”

The Antichrist will break his covenant (Dan.9:27). President Obama has broken many agreements (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, etc.). At this point, he has not kept America’s treaty to protect Ukraine’s borders.

The Antichrist will do according to his will (Dan.11:36).  President Obama said, “We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation . . . . I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone.” He was saying he will do according to his will.

 

The Antichrist will not regard the god of his father (Dan.11:37). President Obama’s father is a Muslim whose god is Allah, and President Obama denies that his god is Allah.

The Antichrist will exalt himself (Dan.11:36-37; 2 Thess.2:4). Someone said, “Pres. Obama loves the man in the mirror.” He trashes everyone who disagrees with him; calls them extremists, domestic terrorists, racists, un-American, has the IRS investigate them, etc.

The Antichrist will divide the land of Israel for gain (Dan.11:39). Pres. Obama supports the two-state solution. He wants the Jews to stop construction on the West Bank, divide the land, and give the West Bank to the Palestinians.

The Antichrist will be given power (Rev. 13:2, 4-5). Pres. Obama rose from Community Organizer to Pres. of the United States without being vetted or doing anything to earn (or qualify him for) the position. His power was more or less given to him.

The Antichrist will track what people buy and sell (Rev.13:16-18). Pres. Obama has transformed the domestic spy program started by President Bush into a global spy program. Also, Obamacare requires all Americans to carry a National ID Card with personal identity descriptions (face scans, etc.) to track people by May 2017.

The Antichrist will be a false messiah that is worshipped by many (Rev.13:8). Many have called Pres. Obama the Messiah, the one, etc. Some have rewritten Christian songs to praise him. One photo of him has the Shekinah Glory around his face.

The Antichrist will establish a world government (Dan.7:23; Rev. 13:7; 17:12-13). Candidate Obama expressed support for a “globalized world.”

Did you know that some think that Genesis 3:15 is a prophecy about the First Coming of Jesus and Genesis 3:16 is a prophecy about the Second Coming of Jesus? Not everyone agrees, but the thought that Adam and Eve knew about the First and Second Coming of Jesus is a blessing to many.

The prophecy of the First Coming stems from the curse God placed on Satan for tempting Adam and Eve to sin. God told Satan, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Gen. 3:15). The word “seed” can be singular (one seed; Gal. 3:16) or plural (many seed; Gen. 15:5). In this case, the woman’s Seed is called an “it” (one seed) and a “his” (one male descendant). God was saying He would cause hostility between the offspring of Satan and one particular male descendant of Eve (see Jn. 8:44; I Jn. 3:10). This hostility reached a peak when Jesus was crucified and it will continue until Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire.

But let’s dig a little deeper. One definition of the word “seed” is sperm. Men have seed or sperm. But women don’t have seed or sperm. There is no such thing as a “seed (or sperm) of woman.” So the birth from a “seed of woman” would have to be a miracle birth. Isaiah clearly prophesied a miracle birth when he said, “The Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).Isaiah said, “A virgin shall conceive.” That is what several translations of the Bible say: “A virgin shall conceive.”

Skeptics say Isaiah meant a young woman shall conceive, but Isaiah also said, “The Lord Himself shall give you a sign.” My dictionary says a sign is “something unusual, a symbol or a miraculous demonstration of Divine power.” It isn’t unusual for a young woman to bear a child. That happens all the time. But the virgin birth of Jesus was a sign because it was an unusual miraculous demonstration of Divine power that happened at the first coming of Jesus (Matt. 1:18-23; Luke 1:27-35; Jn. 1:34).

God also said Satan would bruise the heel of the Seed of Woman. Concerning the Suffering Servant Isaiah said, “He was bruised for our iniquities” (Isa. 53:5). This bruising (beating and death) of the virgin born Seed of Woman was a prophecy about His first coming.

The prophecy of His Second Coming stems from the curse God placed on Eve.Unto Eve He said, “In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children” (Gen. 3:16 KJV). The Modern Language reads, “You will suffer birth-pangs.” And the RSV reads, “In pain you shall bring forth children.” The word “sorrow” refers to birth-pangs or pain in childbirth. Childbirth was a blessing that God bestowed upon Adam and Eve when He created them, but because they sinned, that childbirth would be accompanied by sorrow or birth-pangs.

When Jesus was asked about the signs of His coming He mentioned false christs, wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes. Then He said, “These are the beginning of sorrows” (Mark 13:8). The Modern Language reads, “These are the first pains of childbirth.” And the RSV reads, “This is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.” The sorrow or birth-pangs in Gen. 3:16 are an example of how the signs will be at the Second Coming of Jesus. As the birth of a baby nears, the mother’s birth pains increase in frequency and intensity. In like manner, as the end of the age nears famine, natural disasters, etc. will increase in frequency and intensity (they will get closer together, harder and more destructive not better).

The First Coming of Jesus was preceded by a time of trouble (travel to Bethlehem under difficult circumstances, no place to stay, birth-pangs, etc.). And the Second Coming of Jesus will be preceded by a time of trouble (birth-pang disasters, the Tribulation period, etc.).
