Do you get the impression that the world is precariously close to something big; that our leaders are losing control and things are coming unglued? Do you get the impression that current events seem to relate to Bible prophecy and that it wouldn’t take much for the world to lurch forward into difficult and dangerous times?

Many don’t but some do.

Consider the fact that there will be an economic collapse at the end of the age (Rev. 6:6) and the Congressional Budget Office and many highly acclaimed financial experts say America’s debt is unsustainable; America is soon going to have to raise its debt ceiling.

China recently had to devalue its currency several times and its stock markets plummeted; a group called Zero Hedge recently listed more than 20 nations whose stock markets are collapsing; Puerto Rico and Greece recently defaulted on their debts; Saudi Arabia could go broke in two years, and many more events are causing people to fear for the future. Is this all real?

Consider the fact that the armies of Russia, Iran and other Islamic nations will be devastated on the mountains of Israel in the latter days and latter years (Ezek. 38-39) and that Russia and Iran now have now moved a small number of troops to Syria not far from the mountains of Israel.

Notice that Russia is expanding a military base there and sending in sophisticated weapons; that the UN, U.S., Germany and others have complained, but to no avail; and that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will soon be meeting with Russian Pres. Putin to discuss this volatile situation.

Could this be the very beginning stages of that great Gog-Magog war prophesied in the Bible?

Consider the fact that Jesus said one of the signs of His return will be that “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom” (Matt. 24:7). Many scholars believe this means ethnic group will rise against ethnic group at the end of the age. And now hundreds of thousands of refugees are abandoning everything they own and fleeing for their lives because there is ethnic war all over the Middle East.

Consider the fact that a multi-national force will gather in the mountains of Babylon (Iraq) when the Tribulation period is near (Isa. 13:1-6) and the U.S. and several nations have gathered in the mountains of Iraq to help the Kurds in a war with the Islamic State. Is a Tribulation period storm brewing?

Consider the fact that there will be destruction all over the land ofBabylon (Iraq) when the Tribulation period is near (Isa. 13:4-6) and now there is destruction in wide areas of Iraq; the Islamic state has captured and destroyed large areas of Iraq.

Iraq and Iran have retaken part of that territory and caused more destruction; the Kurds have retaken some areas and caused more destruction; the multi-national force has bombed some Islamic State positions and caused more destruction, and more.

Consider the fact that there will be a world government during the Tribulation period (Dan. 7:23; Rev. 13:7-8) and Pres. Obama supports a world government; the Pope has issued an encyclical calling for a world government and the UN will soon be discussing the creation of a world government by 2030 and more.

Consider the fact that there will be a falling away in the Church at the end of the age (II Thess. 2:3). Church membership in the U.S. is declining by about 1% per year. Some pastors wrongly say everyone worships the same God. Some groups are ordaining gays and there is growing dissention in the Roman Catholic Church over some of the Pope’s unbiblical doctrines and more.

Consider the fact that God put a rainbow in the sky when Noah left the ark after the Flood (Gen. 9:13-18) and Jesus said His coming back will be like it was in the days of Noah when people were marrying and giving in marriage until the day the Flood came and took them away (Luke 17:26-27).

On the very day that the U.S. Supreme Court illegally made gay marriage legal, gays rushed off “marrying and giving in marriage.” To celebrate, the White House was lit up like a rainbow revealing where Pres. Obama stands on the matter.

Consider the fact that the gay lifestyle was the commonly accepted practice in the days of Lot (Gen. 19:4) and Jesus said His coming back will be like it was in the days of Lot. The U.S. has made the gay lifestyle the commonly accepted practice in our day.

To further push the gay agenda, the Obama Administration recently hired a transgender person as the Outreach and Recruitment Director for the White House Staff. Pres. Obama has nominated an openly gay civilian to be Sec. of the Army. A county clerk was recently punished and jailed for six days for refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples and more.

This is just a partial list and these are not little things. A person would have to be pretty dense to believe that “all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation,” but the Bible says there will be people like that (II Pet. 3:3-4).

Winston Churchill said, “The purpose of the New World Order is to bring the world into a world government.” Pres. George H.W. Bush said, “Out of these troubled times (the Persian Gulf War) our fifth objective, a New World Order can emerge.”

Henry Kissinger said, “The New World Order cannot happen without U.S. participation, as we are the most significant single component.” So the New World Order (world government) is a goal of the U.S. and it will not come into being without U.S. help.

The UN was established in the U.S. on Oct. 24, 1945. It is headquartered in several buildings in New York City. For many years, 25% or more of the UN’s regular budget was paid by the U.S. (reduced to 22% in 1991). Its Charter calls for the establishment of a world government in stages through the forming of world administrative regions.

This forming of world administrative regions was promoted by the Club of Rome in the early 1970s when that organization called for the creation of ten mega territories or kingdoms. The UN affirmed it when it called for regions to be patterned after the EU.

Henry Kissinger supported it when he called for establishing a regional management system and he said it is the road to the New World Order. The World Economic Forum supported it when it called for the development of regions of nations to be speeded up all over the world and the group decided that it is a pre-condition for world government. And the Bible teaches that ten leaders, kings or horns will appear at the end of the age.

The slogan “Made in the USA” is received warmly by many Christians, but the thought that the U.S. is helping to create a world government bothers some.

Many who study Bible prophecy believe that there will be one more world government after the Rapture of the church. They believe that this coming world government will be headed up by a Satan worshipper called the Antichrist; it will prosper briefly with the help of a Satanic world religion; it will persecute and kill Jews and those who become believers during the Tribulation period.

Its policies will lead to the death of billions of people; it will require people to take the name, mark or number of the Antichrist or be killed; and more. Simply put: It is a coming evil disaster.

In a matter of days (Sept. 25-27, 2015), this evil disaster will surge forward in New York at the UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015 for the adoption of Agenda 2030.

This high-level summit will be attended by most of the world’s leaders and the purpose is to approve a document that will establish a world government by 2030. The UN calls it a new “universal agenda” for “all people” and the UN promises that it will “transform our world.”

UN Sec. Gen. Ban Ki-moon is calling it a “turning point” and the “start of a new era.” He said it is going to help the UN realize the “dream of a world of peace and dignity for all.” This should get people’s attention.

The two main goals of the UN are peace and human dignity. And the Antichrist will rise to power over the coming world government on a platform of peace.

It is impossible to know if a world government will be created by 2030. God is in control. He can change things, speed things up, slow things down, etc. But for this coming world government to appear by 2030 several things must take place.

Speeding up the regional development of nations will require the nations to speed up the surrender of their national sovereignty. The nations will have to be merged into regions patterned after the EU, the regions will have to adopt a constitution and they will have to appoint a leader.

Ten regions and ten leaders (ten horns or kings) are needed before the Antichrist can appear. After the regions are created, they will need a short time to get established before they are brought into a world government under the Antichrist. So the world could be seeing the North American Union and other groups of nations much faster than many people think.

And then there is the really big event. Somewhere in all of this the church must be raptured. Only God knows the day or the hour, but His followers can see that glorious day approaching.

And if there is a gap or space of time between the Rapture and the confirmation of the covenant by the Antichrist,  (God’s people don’t know how long it is). But whatever the length every day of it shortens the time between now and the Rapture.
